Burnout Paradise is the most coolest racing game ever released for PC. Burnout Paradise is the first title to be released for PC in the Burnout series. I myself have played this game and it is the ultimate racing experience.

Most of the people who have downloaded this game or even bought it are facing problems of the game freezing in the main screen. Most of them have said that the loading wheel just keeps rotating and nothing happens even after waiting for more than an hour. When i downloaded this game i too faced the same problem.

The No-Intro Fix that is available on FILEnetworks which has been made by RELODED just stops the EA and criterion logos from appearing when the game starts. It is of no use.

Actually it is very simple. You needn’t even download any patches or cracks. Just go to BurnoutConfigTool which is located in the Burnout Paradise folder. Probably it’s address is C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Burnout(TM) Paradise The Ultimate Box. Just open the BurnoutConfigTool. In the tool you will find a thing called Anti-Aliasing. It will be set to none. But, change it to 2x. Now save and exit it and try to start Burnout Paradise using Burnout Launcher. See if it works.

If it still behaves in the same way then just try changing the Anti-Aliasing to 4x. If this does work then please share your views by adding a comment below.

I recorded a video about this topic, but never actually uploaded it. I figure, why not put the new blog to good use and write about it.

First off, the game isn’t drastically different, but it does bring some new things to the table. Aside from new maps and a new group of lovable characters, we get some new weapons and even some new types of infected.

Honestly, I don’t care about the new characters, but I do care about the new weapons. The big addition is melee weapons. Players now have the ability to pick up weapons like frying pans, guitars and night sticks. It is very satisfying smacking a decaying human being upside the head, and hearing the ’smack.’ Like in Burnout Paradise, I’m not sure if that will ever get old.

As mentioned above. there are new zombies, including ’spitters’ which you guessed it, spit. Another is called a ‘jockey.’ They jump on your head and basically ride you around like a horse. The only way to get them off you, is to run around, until they jump off or get shot.

I haven’t spent a ton of time playing the demo, I have to say I’m not nearly as impressed as I was a year ago with the original Left 4 Dead. That isn’t because I’m one of those people who don’t like that Valve stopped supporting it after only one year. To those people, I say shut the fuck up, and just don’t buy the game. I don’t mind them releasing an entirely new game, if it is an entirely new game.

For me though, the awesomeness has diminished a little. I don’t know if I really want to spend another $60 for a game that I basically played last year. There is no story, or any real solid single player mode, which for me is a big part of playing any game.

I’m sad to say it, but I don’t think I will be picking this game up this holiday season. I’ll throw it on my Christmas list, and hope Santa leaves it under my tree December 24 night.

“We are in London… Let’s break the law”…
Mergulhamos no underground.

Mordi a língua.
Naquele momento eu sentia a grandeza e a magia dessa cidade.

Percorremos ruas e cantos espetaculares.

Eu a apelidei carinhosamente de “A Time Square Londrina”.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, fiquei maluco, maluco, maluco!

Comprei Katamari Forever, Dead Space, Burnout…

Burnout paradise

Nom: Burnout Paradise: Ultimate Box
Genre: Course
Format: Xbox 360 ver. Asia
Temps passé: ~30 heures
Status: 57 voitures débloquées
Collection: Oui

In the 1950s and 1960s it was all so easy. Mad Men placed cigarette adverts on TV and nationwide the

In the 1950s and 1960s it was all so easy. Mad Men placed cigarette adverts on TV and nationwide the populous soaked it up. The hypodermic syringe model of advertising was working. Keep pumping the message into the audience, and eventually their response to your product with be akin to a pavlovian dog. Great empires were built around the creation, direction and execution of advertising.

Then somewhere between the 1950s and today it all went wrong. The glut of ads got so great that they went from being a novelty to an annoyance and people started to stop listening. TV remote controls were a milestone in ad avoidance, as channel surfing provided a temporary opt out. As single channels became less effective the agencies started to integrate and plan and create multi-channel campaigns. They integrated press, radio, TV and any other channel that it could lay their hands on.

The leakage of the audience continued unabated and the advertising industries hit a wall around 2000. That wall was the internet and like so many industries the hugely disruptive force of the net, splintered the advertising industry. This was the classic flip from push to pull and suddenly a silicon valleys based start up was leading the audience to the brands rather than the advertising agencies leading the brands to the audience. Google still has a frosty relationship with many global media and advertising agencies. The reason? Google represent a threat to the core of their businesses. Google was a symptom and not the cause of disruptive power of the internet, the evolution of Google was born out of a necessity to search the web effectively. Conversely for the agencies, the better the search the better the ad avoidance. They needed to find another new channel.

Ad-funding is not a new idea, it has been around for decades but away from straight ahead advertising it was almost invisible, with product placement being covert not overt. The net provided a new transparency, a highly targeted route to the consumer. When online you are being watched, and this means that your tastes and habits can be observed and used for geo location, gender, age and numerous other analytic variables. Music was the first to try and employ the model of give away the product, and offset with advertising revenue. To date none of the primary ad-funded music services like We7 or Spotify have started to turn a profit so it seems that even when the audience is given the bait and switch proposition of free music in exchange for ears and eyeballs, that the reluctance to absorb ads is apparent to both audience and advertiser. Online game services like Pogo work on a similar model, where browser based games provide a platform for ad-serving and the games bring in the audience.

In game advertising represents quite a different proposition. Here, the audience have already paid the entrance fee, in most cases £40 (in the UK). In terms of entertainment media games represent the higher end of the cost scale. In addition to that (in the case of Xbox at least) there is a monthly fee to be able to play games online. There are two primary methods of in game advertising, those included in the on disc game (that can often be static) that approximates to traditional advertising/product placement and those games that have ads served into them once they enter the online environment (Dynamic). The first advertising hoardings within games with real world ads started to appear in 1994 in the EA title FIFA international soccer.

The challenge for these static ads was that they were not measurable like online ad serving. Like any other connected platform ads are piped into the environment. Thus far this has met with varying degrees of apathy and outrage. Some gamers have been outraged and have decreed the ads to be invasive. In the case of Wipeout HD, the ad-serving proved to be disastrous, with load times greatly increased and an incensed audience. Sony backed down and the ad serving was cancelled. A similar furore broke out around the EA title Battlefield 2142, these ads were served by IGA worldwide.

This was a short term victory for the audience as the introduction of ads is inevitable. Massive have predicted that in game advertising will reach $1.8 Billion in 2010, and it is seen as a way for games developers to offset the increasing costs of game development. Some publishers see this as a way to make an additional $1 to $2 for each unit sold. The inevitable wave of analytics measure are already being put in place by traditional firms such as Nielsen, through Nielsen Media Research. Nielsen call it Gameplay Metrics and it has been created to serve in-game advertisers.

Visit the Massive website and you will see a very convincing argument for the dynamic in game advertising case. Impressions are counted by actual instances of the ad in clear line of sight of the player, and they are counted by the second. As an advertiser I can be assured that my audience is looking, or at least looking in the general direction of the ad. This varies greatly from online ad serving as impressions do not indicate any accurate level of engagement. Connected consoles provide exceptional analytic feedback about the level of interaction with the ad including viewing angle. These are metrics that outdoor, online or TV simply cannot provide.

If the serving of the ad can be accurately defined the question therefore is are the audience looking and listening? The suitability of in-game ads has to be based upon context. If they add to the experience and are not intrusive, then it seems counterintuitive as a gamer to register a complaint.

Prototype made it explicit on the back of the box, but when you play the game the presence of the ads is far from intrusive. The game is set in New York so the inclusion of ads makes perfect sense. Indeed they add to the experience. The content of the ads is secondary to context, as from memory I am finding it difficult to recall the actual ads within the game. There has been a long standing tradition of the inclusion of marques of car which represents another more oblique form of in-game advertising. Perhaps the most pervasive and least perceived form of in-game branding is the use of real-world gun names such as AK47, M16 and MAC-11. These are all products and whilst not consumer brands, I am sure that most ardent FPS gamers would be able to recall these with almost total clarity. In both of these cases the use of brand name would wholeheartedly be defended in the name of realism.

Advertisers are drawn to in-game advertising as it presents a new channel to reach the 18-34 year old males who had drifted away from traditional TV advertising. The other benefit is that these games are played on the TV, so are not a huge leap away from the communication methods of the past. The fundamental difference is that the TV represents that delivery method and not the platform itself.

When EA announced Burnout Paradise as an open-world racing game, news sites revelled in the concept

When EA announced Burnout Paradise as an open-world racing game, news sites revelled in the concept of a sandbox-style Burnout experience. When it released, that concept held steadfast in the eyes of many critics, who hailed the game as the rightful heir to Oblivion as the ultimate sandbox video game. It’s an understandable view, given the freedom Burnout Paradise offers; players can roam a large area that’s full of separate, optional objectives. This, coupled with the deliberate downplaying of the main progressional arc (license upgrading), promotes the feeling of being let loose within a sandbox.

I, however, believe that the term sandbox doesn’t do Burnout Paradise justice. Neither does the supposed antonym of that term, linear. I believe the appropriate description for it is progressional, in that the game places emphasis on the player progressing through the game, with progress being from the first time the player loads up the game to 100% completion of the game’s objectives. This is not a linear progression from a start point to an end point because the path in between is not set. One could argue that, because there’s no obligation to progress through the game in such a fashion, that the game is not progressional. I would argue that players are always progressing through the game, intentionally or unintentionally, such is the nature of Burnout Paradise’s design.

Firstly, the game provides a stat within its pause menu that informs the player how much of the game has been completed (Percentage Complete). Underneath this stat is information detailing what’s contributing to the player’s percentage of completion, such as how many of the city’s evens have been found, how many billboards have been smashed through, and how any jumps have been jumped over. Apart from the afore-mentioned license upgrades, which are as I said deliberately underplayed, this Percentage Complete stat is the best indication of a player’s progress through the game, or indeed the best indication of how well the player’s played the game, outside of multiplayer-associated information. In fact, apart from the Time Played stat, it’s the foremost registration of a player’s time with the game, beyond the acquiring of new cars and bikes from completing certain objectives.

Nope, wasn't me, and never will be...

It’s not unusual for a game to feature such a stat, but what’s unusual about Burnout Paradise is how much it ties everything to this stat. Almost everything a player does in the game can potentially contribute to the Percentage Complete stat. Every road driven down represents a potential time trial to beat. Every gate smashed through adds to the total of smashed gates. Even simple, seemingly isolated things like a barrel roll contribute to this stat through in-game awards. While the freedom to do anything within reason and in whatever order in Paradise City is unarguable, the umbrella over all of these possibilities is the Percentage Complete stat. Any expression of self beyond basic driving, be it through speed, style or destruction, will most likely contribute to this stat. Maybe I’m being too literal about the term sandbox, but the concept shouldn’t be about finding all the various ways to manipulate the sand that’s within the box.

Maybe I myself am placing too much emphasis on how Burnout Paradise underscores and promotes completion, but I’ve yet to even mention how the game ties in achievements (Xbox 360) and trophies (PlayStation 3) to its play. The game is littered with these system-associated rewards that are mandatory for every game now. The rewards tie in closely with the different progression arcs within the game, such as mentioned above, and very closely to the main Percentage Complete stat. I’ve been playing Burnout Paradise on the PlayStation 3, and it easily has the most trophies I’ve ever seen in a PS3 game. So far, I’ve earned 31% of the trophies on offer, and I think that equates to roughly a 1:1 ration in terms of percentage to trophies. That’s the thing, though; the percentage of trophies accumulated, as opposed to the X-out-of-1000 system employed with GamerScore for retail games. A percentage, at least in my mind, leads me more to the idea of completion than a score, even if I know what the score is out of. Maybe it’s as simple as associating the term 100 percent with completion of a task. So, even the PlayStation trophies are making me view Burnout Paradise as progressional, as something to be wholly completed. Their frequent obtainment makes sure to remind me of it, too.

So what’s going to stop me from completing the game, and seeing 100% by Percentage Completed on the start menu, or obtaining that Platinum trophy for getting all the other trophies within the game? The answer is not that I’m sensible, or busy, or that I’m not good enough to complete the game. Like most traditional video game players I have a completist streak in me, and I’m enjoying the game so much that I’d be prepared to do so – if I could. Thankfully, at least for my own personal hygiene and social needs, one of the trophies is awarded for taking a photo of yourself with a USB camera that’s connected to the console. Happily, I have no such thing, and am not prepared to buy one just to complete this game. So, knowing that the end point on my progressional journey is impossible, I’m allowed to progress as far as I want along it until I get bored by the game, basically until the point it starts to feel more like work than fun. That doesn’t make it any less progressional and any more of a sandbox, just because I won’t complete it. It just means that I won’t be able to get a seat on the bus all to myself through special, anti-olfactory superpowers. What it does mean, however, is that the use of sandbox and linear in video game criticism need a review, because progression within a video game is not limited to such vague, all-encompassing terminology. Burnout Paradise is not a traditional sandbox game, and it’s certainly not a linear game. So what is it?

No, I meant it. It’s really back. Here’s another ShoNTell, see? Nothing to keep me from forgetting to actually play games – kind of important for someone writing and podcasting about them – than the nagging guilt a week without a ShoNTell provides.

Burnout Paradise (PS3): After some mild dabbling with it when it first came out, I’ve finally returned to Paradise City. No, not the song, that was released by Guns N’Roses back in 1988; my musical tastes at the time was limited, although I’m told my six-year old self would jive like a master to some Madness. Rock on, mini-me. I’m actually talking about the game that was released twenty years later, Burnout Paradise, although it does feature “Paradise City” as its introductory song, or as its theme song, if you will. And as theme songs go, you can’t do much better than the headbang-ery of “Paradise City”. Sure, it probably cost EA one of its many pretty pennies to feature it, but surely its hard rock melody does an unsung (pun unintended) job of getting players into Burnout Paradise’s party atmosphere right from the off. You couldn’t exactly open the game with the soft jazz of Gran Turismo, could you? Simply put, “Paradise City” makes me want to crash cars into other cars in Paradise City, so well done to all involved.

SBCG4AP #3 (PC): Or to give the game its full name, Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People – Episode 3: Baddest of the Bands. Pause for breath. This is the third of the point-and-click Homestar Runner games that Telltale Games released last year for PC and Wii – and I enjoyed the first two. Despite both featuring puzzles that were too illogical, the writing was on-form, particularly in the first game that featured many laugh-out-loud moments. The writing is usually more important than the quality of the puzzles in a traditional point-and-click adventure game, so it was unfortunate Episode 3 represented a reversal of priorities with its logical puzzles accompanying sub-par writing. This was disappointing, especially given the game’s heavy leaning on musical numbers, one of the cartoon’s best elements in the form of its variety of wacky songs. Sadly, the songs and the writing in general weren’t that funny in Episode 3 – they weren’t poor, but certainly sub-par. It’s difficult to know why the writing took a dip. Was it simply misplaced prioritizing, or just isolated, chance cases of a drab storyline and off-form writing? The fourth episode will probably provide the answer.

Quick Look Throwback: Crazy Taxi: As most regular readers of this blog are probably aware, yesterday was the Sega Dreamcast’s tenth birthday. I could make some cruel jibe about the console’s disasterous fate, but I’m wary of how that would go down with all the devoted Dreamcast lovers I keep bumping into. Instead, I’ll link to Giant Bomb’s video taking a look back at my favourite Dreamcast game, the one and only Crazy Taxi – a game that Ryan Davis is particularly shocking at. Video @ Giant Bomb

i hope you liked them :] i know i do!

& now a HIGHLY unusual honourable mention. you see, my little brother recently made a burnout paradise fan video & uploaded it to youtube. he worked really hard on it (it was adorable) & it’s actually pretty impressive for a fan video.

even though i’m not much of a game/racing/car person (but maybe you are! …okay, i’m just grasping at straws here) & the music he used makes my ears bleed & i just don’t get the point of game fan videos, as his big (& thoroughly amazing :p) sister with a blog with regular readers, i feel obligated to mention it. SO. without further ado:

if you have a youtube account & too much time on your hands, feel free to rate and/or comment here.

oh, & i apologize for that awful “photobucket bandwidth limit exceeded” sign instead of pictures in my older posts. i tried to fix it by making a new account & replacing some pictures, but it just won’t budge. i can’t even upgrade to a plus account, because i have no credit card D: it should be fine again on the 28th though.

The Burnout series has always been an excellent series that blended street racing with demolition derby, but with an emphasis on the crashes. Each iteration of Burnout has been entertaining, but repetitive and Burnout Paradise was supposedly going to change the franchise for the better. Burnout Paradise focuses on an open world setup where races occur in real time with multiple routes available to reach the finish line. The game is the first Burnout game to be featured on the next-generation systems Playstation 3 and XBOX 360. The game is also one of few to offer a lot of downloadable content for free as well as premium content for purchase, which has led to a long shelf life of online gameplay. Most games with online modes die off after a few months, but Burnout is still running strong after being released in January of 2008, as a result of the continuous stream of downloadable content.

Graphic and sound:

The graphics in Burnout Paradise are impressive. The large expansive open world has absolutely no lag when flying around the corners at top speed in single player mode or even when online with multiple opponents. Cars are beautifully detailed and deform fairly realistically when impact occurs with other cars or obstacles. The environment looks like a living breathing city with traffic and realistic architecture. The only thing missing is a human population roaming the streets, but then players would focus on hitting as many as possible. The sound effects are clear and the musical score contains songs from popular artists such as Guns N’ Roses.

Gameplay and controls:

The game has many of the same modes as previous versions in the Burnout series with one major exception, events are triggered in an open world environment at any time by the player instead of through menus as in previous versions. The player stops at a traffic light that offers an event and simultaneously presses the acceleration and brakes to initiate the event. Five game modes exist for vehicles and two exist exclusively for motorcycles. Race mode consists of racing against one or more vehicles, using and streets available to reach the destination and some include checkpoints that need to be passed. Road Rage consists of taking down a set number of vehicle targets before the timer runs out. Stunt Run is a game mode that sets a target score that the player must achieve by performing stunts such as jumps, drifts, etc., before the timer runs out. Marked Man is a game mode in which a player is marked as a target and must reach the designated checkpoint while enemies are constantly trying to collide into and total the player vehicle. Burning Route consists of the player being assigned a specific vehicle to drive to a destination before the timer runs out. If the player wins, an upgraded version of the vehicle is unlocked. Burning Ride and Midnight Ride are the two motorcycle exclusive modes and are basically the same as the Burning Route mode except for being on motorcycles and Midnight Ride being at night. Camera views can be changed to behind the wheel, all the way up to varying degrees of chase cam. The controls are very similar to previous Burnout games and very easy to use. The game also provides a humorous online feature for those who have a Playstation Eye or XBOX Live Vision cameras. When a collision occurs, the camera will take a picture of the two players involved and send them to each other.

Overall thoughts:

I was not very fond of the open world environment at first because at times, navigating a race through multiple routes was very difficult to achieve with signs blurring past when boosting. After some time, I got used to it and loved the open world. Online play is a blast, especially if someone has a camera hooked up and you get to see their face when you collide into them. The game has many free and premium downloadable content that will extend gameplay beyond what comes in the box. This is a must have game for those who love the Burnout series and for those looking for a fun racing game that people still play online a year after release.

Games on Demand:

Come on down to paradise city, and bring a friend…or 7

Criterion high aggression racer finally hands us the next in line in the ever popular Burnout series. Taking the race to the next level, no holds barred with this track-less free roam racing game. Where taking the wrong turn could be a worse decision than picking a fight with an SUV.

As with all good racing games, the story is kept short. That’s right, there isn’t one, just you, your radio and a fleet of other racers out in Paradise City that just cant wait to swap paint with you. You begin with your lowest form of License available in the city, and completing a certain amount of events will allow you to upgrade your license. All the events are available to you from the start, if you can find it, you can take part in it.

Without your usual base of menus to shift through when you pick an event you need to rely on yourself to find everything. All 120 events are dotted around the map, and are only playable (and visible on the map) once you’ve found it. The events are your typical Race event, getting from one checkpoint to the other. Marked Man, an event where only YOU must get from the checkpoint to your destination. The only thing stopping you is a small army of devilish racers who will stop at nothing to push you around so much; you’ll wanna turn round and go home. The ever favorite with all makes a return ‘Road Rage’ where you find yourself battling with other drivers across the city with a target amount of takedowns to achieve before your car is taken fully out. The Burnout: Takedown familiar ‘Burning Route’ where you must again, get from one checkpoint to another using a specific car, if successful you’ll be granted with a updated version if the car you had to use. And finally stunt run, sort of taken from the pages of EA’s SSX where your given a short amount of time to complete stunts to earn points, stunts can be earned from taking jumps, driving recklessly and smashing through some of the other challenges around the game.

Originally worried that the open world feel of the races would remove some of the high-end aggression that 3 and Revenge managed to capture I was rest assured when I played a few of the races followed by some of the marked men events. With only 2-3 cars trying to hunt you down, these were a breeze however later on in the game, you can have up to 6 cars creating havoc and working together to really give you a hard time and make sure you don’t cross the finish line.

As well as all these events to take part in, there are other things hidden around the city for you to collect, these vary from Billboards set up in high stunt positions to landing all of the biggest jumps around. And with the size of the city, there are a lot of these to find each with their rewards once you’ve got them all. Luckily these can be found whilst playing online with friends also which makes the searching a little easier and fun. However the events will only register as found during the single player game, once a friend is joined you cannot find or take part in the races and other events in the main game which means the player must still play the game a lot on their own if they are to find everything.

As well as this, you can also take part in Road Rule’s these are time trials down each street and high scores in Paradise’s crash mode. Beat the score on both of these rules to rule the road completely. These can also be done online within your friend’s lists. You can keep track of the latest via the feeds given over the radio and across the bottom of the screen.

Online features are limited, with free-roam, and challenges for everyone to take part in, this is where the main length of multiplayer will lie. Races are also playable but this is the only other event available. The challenges vary from meeting up at certain points to performing stunts at certain landmarks. There are 50 challenges for each amount of players. So whether you’ve got just you and a friend or even 7 other friends, there’s 50 challenges for you all to take part in, totaling up into 350 challenges to complete.

If you have an Xbox Live Vision Camera, say cheese! Being taken out or winning races online will take a snapshot of your shocked face as a new rival just pummeled you into a wall, so show some teeth!

Reduced: 90% of original size [ 800 x 450 ] – Click to view full image

For those of you fans who had your heart set on a metal wrenching new Crash to play with, this time round, Crash is no more. The idea was scrapped for what is now know as ‘Showtime’ this allows the player the freedom to create a crash junction on whatever road they choose, with a simple tab of the two bumpers you’ll enter crash mode, where taking down the traffic is the game whilst you earn more boost to push launch yourself in whichever direction you chose to land on your next victim.

A lot of people who were big fans of Crash may not enjoy this new replacement but though I loved crashing in game with Burnout, the set-up crash junctions just weren’t doing it for me as much as the mid-race ones, so a change in that department was more than welcome to me.

The Showtime also tie’s in with the Road Rules meaning you need to do it on each and every road so you can rule that road either online or offline.

Unfortunately the change to free roam often leaves the ability to take the wrong route and make more mistakes than usual in a normal tracked race. The lack of being able to reset your car mid-game is also a large problem due to the ability of you getting stuck somewhere, this is usually where you’ll have to call in a friend to try dislodge you from that place otherwise, there’s no escape but restarting your 360. Something which I never used myself in Revenge but could really use in Paradise is the record clips or take photo option; this would be a great way to capture those memorable wrecks and crashes.

The soundtracks that EA picked for their trax this time round are a little different than usual. As always your greeted with your typical indie and rock from a lot of un-heard bands with a few familiars chucked in to keep it mixed with the old and new, but this installment has a few…sore thumbs shall we say?

Adam and the Ants’s track ‘Stand and Deliver’ I cant really say drives me with the passion to mow down my fellow burners and for that matter, neither does Avril Lavignes ‘Girlfriend’ they just don’t…fit with the game like other songs do.

As well as these tracks, we are given almost the entire back catalogue of music created for the game from Burnout1/2 and 3. Could this, along with the re-vamped title music be a way of tying off the old Burnout to set out in a new direction with Burnout for future releases?

Behind the tracks the only other thing you’ll be hearing is the roar of your engines, and the body work scraping and flaking away on other cars or solid objects all give that intense feel in the drivers seat a little more zoom.

Reduced: 90% of original size [ 800 x 450 ] – Click to view full image

Visually, this game is a graphic treat, the cars look beautiful and backgrounds and roads are just as great as the cars.
A lot of attention in the detail of the cars has gone in this time round, with each car having its own take on damage, parts flap off as you speed on, your roof becomes a part of your seating if you take to many rolls and each scratch shows its mark.

Not only that, but parts of your engine can be seen behind the wheel arches showing off a little bit more detail than they needed. Top that off with starting your car up and the headlights flashing on with some very realistic burnout/wheel spin visuals and you got yourself a great looking car game.

With a total of 120 offline events, all which a done at least more than once, the things to find around the city and the road rules, offline will keep you going for quite a time.

When you bring online into it, 350 challenges and being able to either race or just roam free is what will bring in the most of the extra hours on this game.

A game which I feel should be looked at as a completely different game as to Burnout history, as disappointed as I was to see the changes, it more than made up for it in what it now has to offer. My welcome to Paradise City is a warm one, and I don’t plan on leaving soon.
