Busta Rhymes is preparing to step back into the limelight with a bevy of new projects. As previously reported , Busta’s year took a turn for the worse after being ordered to pay $75,000 for an assault charge.

Now with the court proceedings and politics out of the way, Busta’s been busy prepping a new project. His next album will be titled The Chemo, which he hopes will help the ailing music industry. He told Billboard.com that he wants the album to act as chemotherapy for the business that he sees dwindling away.

“I called the album ‘The Chemo’ because it seems like the industry and music overall is dying slowly. The cancer that’s stricken the business is killing the music, not only from a business standpoint, but also the value of the content and the creativity behind it. I just want to start the first stage of chemotherapy treatment that needs to take place and hopefully inspire others to do their part and contribute to different stages of the cure.”

He also divulged to the source that collaborators on the album would include Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Wyclef Jean, as well as, Diddy and his Dirty Money counterparts.

While the world awaits Busta’s remedy in early 2010, stans will be able to throw their support behind his new energy drink. He recently signed a deal with Venom Energy Drinks. Venom Energy is a subsidiary of the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and he’ll market the product nationwide through advertising, branding and promotional opportunities.

Var det første jeg sa da jeg stod opp og møtte mamma. Jeg så på kalenderen og så at det var den første i dag, og måneden hadde lilla farge, så da var det naturligvis det første  jeg tenkte på =P “Jeg tror du er litt trøtt jeg, hehehe” svarte mamma etter å ha funnet ut at jeg drikker når jeg drar på fest senest i går. På fredag hadde jeg nemlig vært i bursdag og kom hjem veldig edru mener jeg da, men tydeligvis hadde jeg snakket med veldig høy stemme til mamma og pappa som lå og sov. Veldig smart! Så mamma begynte å spørre meg hva jeg hadde drukket og sånt, men det greide jeg å la være å røpe =P At jeg hadde drukket inrømte jeg. Hun ble ikke sur da, sa bare: “det viktigste er at dere er trygge og passer på hverandre!” Har dere blitt busta av foreldre? Ble de sure?

I går var jeg overalt, jeg tror jeg aldri har reist så mye på en kveld før! Vi endte opp hos søstern til en Bang, og ble der til klokka 3. Kjempegøy! =D

På fredag var jeg i bursdag til Alicia, som forresten bor i et slott! Sjekk de møblene! Det var egentlig bestilt kokker til kvelden, men var blitt syke så vi måtte forholde oss til tapasaktig utrolig god mat! Stakkars oss altså! =P Av meg fikk hun ekte perleøredobber sammen med to andre jenter, for hun hadde nettopp tatt hull i ørene ^^ Hva har dere gjort i helgen folkens? =)

For all of you who live on another planet, CMJ Music Marathon is New York’s SXSW; it’s a conference, music festival, and film festival.  In other words, it’s a reason to not sleep for 5 days straight.

Hip-hop is represented in the form of:

• Break Science – self-proclaimed “live mixtape” from the mind of Adam Deitch who has played drums with RZA, Wyclef, The Game…
• Theophilus London – a lot buzz going around his mixtape.  Be in the know and check him out.
• Two Fresh – Live Electro hip-hop lead by twin brothers!!!
• Nyle – His music video is the most innovative I’ve seen in years.  Def check out his gig at Crash Mansion.
• Mike Posner – He puts Asher Roth to shame.  Hip-hop music from a white boy that’s not some gimmick.  He wrote, produced, and recorded his debut mixtape by himself…with plenty of guests of course.
• There’s a benefit for Roc Raida at BB King’s on October 22 with Busta, A-Track, Z-Trip, Green Lantern, Rahzel, X-Ecutioners…  Should be a long night filled with special guests for sure.

Decided to feel a song i loved a while ago, the best mashup ever – the paradoxical paradise of R Kelly with Shoreline by Broken Social Scene (fyi – now BSS from herein)

Well well, Mr. DMX has resurfaced.  This time without a mug shot accompanying him.  Anyways, DMX is scheduled to fight an MMA style bout down in Alabama against one Eric Martinez.  This is the “celebrity” portion with Butterbean and Tank Abbott to fight afterwards.  Now, if you’re like me, you are wondering who the hell Eric Martinez is.  I still couldn’t tell you, but there is an interview you can read up on.  The craziest part about this whole fiasco, let’s face it, it will be a fiasco.   The promoters were trying to get Busta Rhymes to fight DMX!  They had some schedule conflicts with Busta(who really knows) and he decided he wouldn’t be able to do it.  So, let’s hope DMX doesn’t get Ruffed up..First he gonna rock, then he gonna roll..X gon give it to ya Eric!
