Well tomorrow is the feast, for most I guess, but not all. And that bothers me a bit. That and for the first time in 30 some years I won’t be cooking the big feast for the Tavern, it’s all locked up since Dad died last July; thanks to my brothers. I once cooked a 34 lb. bird, that was also the year the kitchen had one of those tiny apartment sized stoves. I had to push the bird to get it into the oven and when I finally pulled it out the sides were flat, well it was form fitted by the sides of the oven. People would drop by all day long and the kids got to go wild playing and making forts under the tables in the front room, and opening all the left over punchboard prizes. All that’s left today is a vacant lot and memories of the fun where the house once stood. Time marches on I guess.
I’m trying to work myself up to driving into town this afternoon and stocking up on all the sales item at the grocery store. Inflation is taking its toll, seems like things, prices are going up, doubling in some areas, faster and faster. Well it ain’t over yet, in fact it’s still just getting started.
The housing forclosures are still happeneing, a new wave is expected soon. And mark my words, it’s gonna get worse because the commercial loans are hitting the adjustment mark sometime soon. And the commercial market is going to cause more problems than the residential one. The media hasn’t said much about this looming giant of a problem; yet. But it will.
I asked a question way back at the start of this blog, “Would you spend a dollar, $1, to buy back this country?” Well, would you? Would you be willing to spend $1 a week per person to set things right again?
There are over 330,000,000 people in this country today. Just imagine what we could do IF we pooled $1 a week from each and every one of us. How many businesses could be saved,? How many new ones could get funded into start up? How many jobs could we create?
And what if we did this for a year, $330 million a week for a year is some serious coin. And if we kept the governments fingers off of it, spent it where it would do the most good. Well I think we could take back our country. Of course it wuold also help if all of you stopped buying everything from China. Ok, I know that is hard to do since few things today don’t say Made in China. But cheapest at the check out counter isn’t always the best bargain in the long run. The insanity of constantly needing to buy more stuff, because things don’t last like they should has had it’s run. We must start to once again produce things that last a lifetime, and beyond. As well as things that can be repaired, fixed for less than buying a whole new item. We need to reverse the trend of planned obsolescence, we can no longer afford that method of wasting tons of raw materials just to keep profits growing. Besides why do profits need to grow each year, quarter, month, week, day? What the hell is wrong with making a reasonable profit and doing that year after year. Of course that will also require the Government to stop raising taxes at every turn.
I guess I should be getting down the road. I really don’t want to miss the cheap food they are selling in town this week.
You think about that idea of buying back our country, our jobs. Just $1 a week from each of us could do it.

The end result was some more nice people interested in real estate but not generally doing anything right now. I did get a tentative appointment from a nice lady who is planning a move early next year. Why don’t we get out there more ..

I have been following up with this one for couple of days waiting for the MACD to come closer together on the 6 month chart. Even though MACD on the 6 month is still not completely crossed but I like the fact that:
1/ on the 4 hour chart both the MACD and EMA 5 have crossed.
2/ seems to have hit a strong support around 28.50 on the 6month.
