LOVE LETTER is Ai’s 5th album. The singles released beforehand were ポケット, ロケットスニーカー / One×Time, and クラゲ、流れ星. With バイバイ being a re-cut. ド☆ポシティヴ, 360° and 愛 were used as promotional tracks, therefore they all got their own PV’s. This album would show a more mature side from Ai, as most people have said anyway.

LOVE LETTER is Ai’s first song to be a title track o: The beginning grates my ears, it sounds like Ai’s not even trying to sing those notes. The song is a very simple piano song, and Ai sounds better after that disastrous beginning. Not too bad of a song though, love Ai’s piano playing in this song.

I still love the beginning of ロケットスニーカー due to how Ai sounds. So energetic and fun! This song has funky instrumentation that matches Ai’s playful lyrics. Although the song doesn’t keep my interest for the rest of it.

バイバイ is still kinda there. The Bye Bye~’s she sings with each end of the chorus is catchy. But eh, just a song that’s kinda there.

クラゲ、流れ星 is still very pretty. Ai’s vocals in the verse are so pure. But then we get to the chorus and she’s shouting and trying too hard to sound emotional, which is strange to say because Ai us great at these ballads. But the instrumentation saves the song for me.

人形 is gorgeous. The piano is excellent and Ai sounds pretty nice (She’s a bit off in the beginning though). After a bit of the piano playing some strings suddenly enter and Ai is belting it out (and sounds fucking excellent if I do add). The lyrics are depressing, and tell a great story about friendship, loss, and how we can’t find ourselves. A gorgeous ballad that I’m happy Ai made <3 Also, when the whole album leaked, this song wasn’t in the leak. For some reason.

君フェチ has cute instrumentation and nice vocal delivery from Ai. But this track comes off a bit weak due to the fact there isn’t anything that catchy about this track. But it’s worth a listen. The instrumentation saves it <3

Creamy & Spicy is a strange track, but at the same time I really like it. Ai’s notes when she sings “CLEAMY AND SPICHYYY” are kinda nice sounding XD The instrumentation isn’t groundbreaking, but very fun and match Ai’s vocals. Very nice song =DD

ド☆ポジティヴ has an amazing beginning *-* I’m mesmerized by it. The instrumentation is so fun and psychedelic sounding. But Ai’s vocals are really squeaky in this song for some reason. The song dose have a few moments of catchiness. But other than that the instrumentation was the only thing to stand out.

360° is in short, amazing. It’s fabulous. There is piano playing, soft dance beats, and Ai’s voice that echos’ throughout the whole song. She repeats some lyrics over and over which WILL get stuck in your head. They symbolize the troubles with love perfectly though. Pretty soon into the song it starts to pick up a more dance vibe. There is a section where Ai screeches a REALLY high scream or something. But other than that, amazing song.

シヤチハタ isn’t exactly a bat-shit crazy track, it still stands out. シヤチハタ takes the Big Band genre, with Ai taking the scat style of singing. Ai’s vocals are LOW in this song, and she sounds great. It’s amazing to hear her sing really low. Maybe it’s how her voice originally is, and she forces herself to sing higher? There is a long instrumental break that I don’t really like though. Other than that, amazing song.

One×Time is still boring. Instrumentation is really pretty though, so that’s a plus at least. In other news the song is quite sexual for sounding laid-back and relaxing XD

I HATE the bass in ポケット X.X Why does it have to be so strong? It messes up the gorgeous piano playing >( At least there’s nothing present for a lot of the song at the beginning, so it’s just Ai and piano =D Not a terrible song, just kinda boring.

愛 is Ai’s longest song in her discography, and probably the most natural or something I dunno XD The song is cute, and had me interested all the way through. The chorus here is catchy as Ai goes “Aaaaaiiiiiiii” xD Near the end a kids choir joins Ai, and it’s just amazing. This is a nice way to end the album.

LOVE LETTER was weak, really weak compared to LOVE PiECE. LOVE PiECE was strong throughout, while LOVE LETTER had its moments. Although the songs chosen in my favorites really shined.

As it stands, I will be discontinuing this Blog due to several reasons:

• My lack of want to continue a World of Warcraft exclusive Blog.  I’ve had my fair share of major posts (the Ghostcrawler one, for sure) and that will continue to be the shining moment.  I’d like to say I’ve impacted some priests in the past, and possibly in the future, but I don’t think I can just write about that anymore.  It’s too hard, honestly.
• My involvement with my current guild, Lowered Expectations, is at a standstill.  I do not know whether I am returning to the guild or if I’ll be even returning to World of Warcraft.
• Finally, because I want to be more opinionated, crude, and whatnot… and it’s hard to do it here. 

Thanks to all of those who’ve read.  If I come back to WoW, it’ll be under my new (and general information) blog at Circumlocutions, one that’ll be available to many folks and not just to WoW ones.

Craigslist crossdresser is out of my life, at my request.  Don’t feel like hashing out the details right now; I’ve already done that with all my friends.  Suffice it to say that we had a totally stupid, childish argument (which is a red flag in itself when you’ve only known someone a week or two) and he reacted very badly.  Like, literally saying “you hurt my feelings!  What are you gonna do about it?!” over and over again.  And this was after I’d apologized.

HE’S FORTY-FIVE GODDAMN YEARS OLD.  It might be time for him to learn to deal with his own issues instead of doing this whiny, entitled, “you’re obligated to make me feel better!” thing.  I seriously tried as hard as I could to be calm and reasonable and talk things out with him;  I even asked what he needed from me in order to make things right, and he snapped that he didn’t know.  Then he said, for about the fiftieth time, “you hurt my  feelings!  What are you gonna do about it?!”

Jesus motherfucking Christ on a stick.

Anyway.  The conversation really skeeved me out and I ended up breaking things off via email, then blocking him.  It felt sort of empowering.  I normally keep a questionable guy around slightly longer than this, simply because I’m loathe to give up the attention/companionship/whatever.  It felt good to just chop this one out of my life for the first offense instead of, like, the third.  Hopefully I can make that my regular procedure.

At times like this, I’m grateful to have my cat (I only got him two months ago, and I’ve never had a pet all on my own before,  so there’s still a certain novelty to it).  It really does make a difference, knowing I have a steady source of affection no matter what’s going on in other areas of my life.  After I hit the send button on my “please fuck off and die” email last night, I looked over at my little guy and said “Well, I guess it’s just you and me, kiddo.”  He purred and looked at me with upside-down-face and all was right  with the world.  Good kitty.

Il y a de ces nouvelles que l’on n’attend pas… C’est ce matin que j’apprenais comme la plupart d’entre-vous que la chanteuse Céline Dion n’était plus enceinte. Lors de la sortie de la bonne nouvelle, le 18 août dernier, j’étais l’un des premiers à ironiser cette histoire dans un billet sur mon blogue (Dion et Angélil remettent ça!!!)… C’est pour dire à quel point on ne sait jamais ce qui peut se passer!

Avant de partir pour l’école ce matin, j’ai regardé mes deux (belle) filles et je leurs ai dit à quel point que je les aimais…sans elles, je ne serais pas ce que je suis aujourd’hui! J’ai cette chance de les avoir en santé et pour longtemps… Enfin, c’est ce qu’on pense toujours! Et si elles se faisaient frapper par un chauffard? Et si elles tombaient malades du jour au lendemain? Et si l’une d’elles disparaissait sans laisser de trace? Merde que je les aime!!!

Revenons à Céline, la semaine dernière j’ai tourné, avec les Super Matozoïdes, le sketch d’introduction de Adieu 2009…notre “bye-bye” qui sera présenté le 31 décembre prochain! Dans ce sketch on voyait Céline Dion arriver en salle d’accouchement lors d’un mauvais rêve… Vous comprendrez que j’ai décidé aujourd’hui d’abolir ce sketch du spécial!!!

Je souhaite bon courage à Céline, René et toute leur famille… Ce soir, j’ai embrassé les enfants et je me suis rappelé à quel point nous oublions la chance que nous avons au quotidien de les avoir avec nous. Dans cette histoire, j’ai peut-être perdu un sketch mais j’ai retrouvé quelque chose que j’avais mis de côté dans ma tête…probablement parce que je croyais que c’était acquis! Rien n’est acquis…jamais! Je vais tenter de ne pas l’oublier cette fois…

バイバイ is Ai’s 19th Single and 2nd re-cut single. The title track was used in a beer commercial. This release was also limited.

バイバイ has a very energetic and fun start. Ai’s vocals sound a lot better than her other upbeat songs in this song, and she sounds energized and ready (: Something I look for in Upbeat songs. If the singer is bored, so am I (*cough*alan*cough*). The chorus is catchy to some extent, only because of how Ai ends it off with Bye Byeeee~ It’s cute. Not a terrible song, but not like, super super awesome. It’s worth a listen though (:

バイバイ (Instrumental) is fast-paced and a nice listen. Gives you a feeling of driving down a long road (as seen in the cover of course).

バイバイ was such a step-down for being a re-cut.黒毛和牛上塩タン焼680円 had a rearranged song with two B-sides. Now that’s how re-cut singles should work. This just had the A-side and an instrumental. But the A-side was a good listen.

As despedidas começaram na quinta à tarde quando Kanishka voltou a Índia. Na sexta de manhã Subbu foi o primeiro e logo eu e Albert. Nãoooo. Foi triste. O grupo era bem legal e vão fazer muita falta! A experiência do CSC é simplesmente DEMAIS e que com muito orgulho digo que tive esta oportunidade e aproveitei ao máximo. O aprendizado é a todos os momentos, sobre o país, a cultura, com os colegas de grupo, sobre a empresa, sobre vc. Eu me sinto muito privilegiada por ter sido escolhida, ainda mais para trabalhar no Vietnã. Um país lindo lindo lindo, o qual aconselho que todos que tenham a oportunidade de conhecer o faça e ao qual eu definitivamente quero voltar um dia. Xin Chao Viet Nam! Algumas fotinhos para já matar as saudades! (As fotos do último dia virão depois)

Na sexta feira de manhã, dia 16 de outrubro, voltamos para Ha Noi. Logo após o café da manhã, as tradutoras foram se despedir da gente. Ai que triste! Após a despedida de ontem no barco, com jantar e karaoke, estava se tornando fato que o CSC estava acabando… Chegamos na capital por volta de 2 horas e as 3:15 devíamos estar na IBM para um briefing com a imprensa local. Ficamos lá até 5 e pouco e voltamos para hotel. Algumas pessoas foram dormir, mas eu queria aproveitar ao máximo meu último dia e fui passear pelas ruas. Ai, Ha Noi vai deixar saudades, ou melhor o Vitnã vai deixar saudades. Para fechar, fomos jantar no mesmo restaurante da primeira noite e depois seguimos para o mesmo barzinho da primeira noite. Acho que o que queríamos mesmo era que tudo voltasse ao começo! (As fotos para este post virão mais tarde. )

Its been almost 4 wks of IBP. So far i have to say its been quite fun. At least i’m doing what i like/love to do, that is photography. I know that some people doing internship are suffering and some even requested for help from the school. I pity them and hope they complete their internship without any mishaps.

School term is almost starting and its going to be exciting. I know it. Cause there is the new season of heroes and Gossip Girl to watch. I should check out the hype surrounding the tv show ”Glee”. Wonder if its gleeful?

Working as a photographer instead of an writer is much better than being a writer. But then again, a writer would probably say the same thing only vice versa. Plus, whenever i go out with a reporter for a story, i just need to follow them and if they don’t really know the place, i apply pressure psychologically. So that they become focused on finding the place if not, they will be late for the interview/event etc. Plus i get to go around Singapore getting freebies/food.

Much better than rotting in the office, don’t you think?

P.S. I don’t smoke. Anymore.

Comme je l’ai expliqué sur un billet précédent, moi et mon groupe humoristique sur le web Les Super Matozoïdes préparons actuellement un spécial de fin d’année (Bye-Bye) sur le web afin de compenser (d’une certaine façon…) la perte de l’émission chez Radio-Canada!

Comme j’ai recu plusieurs courriels de gens qui appréciaient l’idée, nous avons donc décidé de créer un groupe facebook afin de les informer sur tous les derniers développements du projet…primeurs incluses!!! Seul ombre au tableau pour les Freaksters, ils affirment sur le site web officiel de leur spécial qu’ils présenteront le “premier vrai bye-bye du web québecois“… Je vous invite donc à regarder le spécial Adieu 2008, Salut 2009…et à moins d’un avis contraire, cela a tous les ingrédients d’un bye-bye! Est-ce que je me trompe??? Si oui, commentez SVP! À mon avis, ils présenteront le deuxième bye-bye du web, pas le premier… Pourquoi les Freaksters se l’approprient-ils d’abord??? Surtout que ce sont les Super Matozoïdes qui ont présenté la partie dite “revue de l’année”! Faites votre propre conclusion, ceci n’est pas un appel à la guerre mais plutôt un ajustement des termes… J’ai pas de temps à perdre à me chamailler car, moi aussi, je regarderai avec impatience le spécial des Freaksters qui sera diffusé le 31 décembre 2009 à 19hrs sur le site de tagtélé.
