It seems that yesterdays post did the trick, as today it did not rain!!! I am taking full credit for this. However, no rain at today’s cricket sadly turned out to be a bad thing, as we were undone by a crack squad of tortoises. Bad times. It therefore seems that the order of the day was to slow things down, which is exactly what I have done with the music.

The band came into being when guitarist Robbie Stern invited Daniel Blumberg (vocals), Max Bloom (bass guitar), William Vignoles (drums) and Vicky Freund (keys) to start playing together, originally to participate in their school ‘battle of the bands’ in 2005. In their first few band practices, the 15 year olds began working on their first four songs, ‘The Next Untouchable’, ‘Colourful Life’, ‘Amylase’ and ‘Buttercups’, which were recorded as demos and submitted to their myspace site shortly after.

The band played their first few shows at the West London all ages club night ‘Way Out West’, performing in the bar beneath Brentford FC football stadium. Way Out West was well known for putting on many up and coming bands such as Jamie T, Late of the Pier, Video Nasties, and Laura Marling. The organizer of the event, Keith Anderson, began to manage the band shortly after. Their first single, ‘The Next Untouchable’, was released on Anderson’s record label as a limited edition 7″ single, with 500 copies being put into production.

Cajun Dance Party’s debut album was entitled The Colourful Life, and was released in April 2008. The band recorded the album sessions with Bernard Butler at the recording studio, West Heath Yard, owned by Edwyn Collins. ‘West Heath Yard’ was also a music industry spoof which aired for a short while on channel 4 in 1999, The album consisted of 9 tracks, with singles from the album including ‘Colourful Life’, ‘The Race’, and ‘Amylase’. The album was given 4/5 in the Guardian. [2]

The band have made many festival appearances in the UK and abroad, performing at such festivals as Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury, Oxegen, T in the Park, Underage Festival, Camden Crawl, Summersonic Festival in Japan and Les Inrocks tour in France. The first new song to be heard after ‘The Colourful Life’ is called ‘5 days’, and a demo of the song was recently given away free on the band’s mailing list.

Cajun dance party es una banda de londres ,inglaterra , de 5 miembros y formada en 2005 cuando apenas rodeaban entre los 15 0 16 años,este año 2008 la escuela y lo raro es que algunos eran compañeros de curso con miembros de ¨bombay bicycle club¨ .la banda tuvo buenas criticas y la aclamacion de bandas como radiohead , su disco debut salio en abril de 2008 llamado ¨the colour Life¨lo acertado del album talvez sea que tiene solo 9 canciones para no artarnos.ese mismo mes dijieron que pensaban sacar su segundo album en octubre de 2008 , pero no ocurrio , hasta el momento se dice que trabajan en eso.el disco esta muy bueno , muy buenos singles , y un estilo peculiar…

1. TV On The Radio – Dear Science//Plus qu’un simple album, tout une révolution. En même pas 2semaines, TVOTR est devenu l’un de mes groupes préférés. Chaque son, chaque mot, chaque moment est unique et magique, rien n’est laissé au hasard. Les morceaux se suivent et on se croirait de plus en plus à Disney vu par un gosse de 6ans. Un pur mure de merveille, comme il est si rare d’en voir.Dear Science est juste une énorme claque pour nous rappeler qu’est ce que l’on appelle de la bonne musique.
2. MGMT – Oracular Spectacular : Qui oserait ne pas mettre cet album dans un top 2008, certainement pas moi. Car malgré mon immense déception concernant leur prestation scénique, je suis bien obligé d’avouer que j’ai aimé comme une amante passionnée Oracular Spectacular. Tout est parfait, tout est tube. Electric Feel à se rouler par terre de plaisir…
3. The Raconteurs - Consolers Of The Lonely : Ce supergroupe est tout simplement parfait. Un talent et une maitrise indomptable. Surpuissance. Du blues/rock en pleine figure. Puis, si Jack White déciderait de se renommer Dieu, je ne serais pas choqué et je l’approuverais.
4. The Streets - Everything Is Borrowed : Un excellent 4eme album pour The Streets, un album qui égale enfin Original Pirate Material. Des mélodies et des rythmes magnifiques.Rien a redire, Mike a fait un sans faute.
5. Jack Johnson – Sleep Through The Static : Je ne crois pas en avoir parler mais c’est vrai que j’ai directement acheter cette album à sa sortie,  sa dégustation c’est donc faites hors PC et donc hors blog. Cette album comble toutes mes attentes : des chansons reposantes mais pas mou du genoux, de quoi se relaxer mais pas s’endormir….le top. Je l’aime ce Jack Johnson.
6. Metronomy – Night Out : Metronomy, sans aucun doute un très bon groupe qui a su garder son style malgré un deuxième album plus pop. A la fois nerveux et tranquille, cet album amène milles et une saveurs à notre système nerveux. Un régale d’electro/pop. Heartbreaker en tête de proue.
7. Cajun Dance Party – The Colourful Life : Je n’aime pas particulièrement cette album, mais je tenais à l’inclure dans mon top en symbole de toute les chansons sorties durant les années précédentes. Un groupe auquel je tiens beaucoup, des petits jeunes mais pleins de talent!
8. Foals – Antidotes : Là encore, une révélation du genre. Certains ne voient en eux qu’un groupe parmi tant d’autres, moi j’y vois un bijoux, un groupe qui ira loin, ou, dans tous les cas,qui le mérite réellement. Un son unique, un live intense, formidable!
9. The Kills – Midnight Boom : Encore et encore une révélation. Les Kills resterons à jamais pour moi des déprimés, mais je vous avouerais que ce se sont mes déprimés préférés.  Midnight Boom est une œuvre d’art fait d’electro et de rock caverneux..un pur régale.
10. NERD - Seeing Sounds : J’avoue que c’est une petite surprise, je ne m’attendais pas à aimer NERD .Seeing Sounds à comme était conçu pour réconcilier rock/rap, les deux sont liés, et Pharell nous le montre bien. Un grand panel de morceaux tous aussi bons les uns que les autres.
11. Oasis – Dig Out Your Soul : Les Gallagher reviennent enfin!
12. Adam Green – Sixes & Sevens : Énième découverte, j’aime Adam désormais.
13. Ratatat – LP3 : Troisieme album de Ratata, un tres tres tres grand album qui ne finira jamais de me surprendre…
14. Late of the Pier – Fantasy Black Channel : Une voix grave qui vous fait frétiller et des rythmes à vous faire piétiner les dancefloors…
15. Crystal Castles – Crystal Castles : Malgré un live assez décevant, l’album de CC reste un très bon LP electro qui mérite la reconnaissance qui lui ait du.
16. The Teenagers - Reality Check : C’est très débile, peut-être nul pour certains, moi….I think I’m in love…
17. Minitel Rose – The French Machine : C’est peu-être assez simplet mais j’aime, ça me fait bouger, j’aime…
18. Dirty Pretty Things – Romance At Short Notice : La musique de mon BAC, ca peut sembler bête mais c’est tout une histoire.
19. El Madmo - El Madmo : Un album honteusement délaissé mais excellent!!
20. The Last Shadow Puppets - The Age of the Understatement : J’ai eu beaucoup de mal à accepter Alex Turner hors des AM…..ca a pris pas mal de temps et je suis encore un peu réticente mais il faut bien l’avouez que cet album est magistral!

Mentre continua la serie di concerti di Claudio Baglioni – fino al 22 novembre all’Allianz Teatro di Assago -, la città si prepara a ospitare, il 21 ai Magazzini Generali, uno dei gruppi più importanti della scena indie rock inglese: i Franz Ferdinand. Ma attenzione: i biglietti sono esauriti da settimane, solo chi si è mosso in tempo può godersi dal vivo l’anticipazione del nuovo album «Tonight», in uscita a gennaio per la Domino Records. Per chi è rimasto a bocca asciutta il calendario riserva un’alternativa sempre il 21, ma al Music Drome: stiamo parlando dei Ting Tings, duo britannico che negli ultimi mesi ha scalato le classifiche con il pop dancereccio di brani come «Great Dj», «That’s Not My Name» e «Shut Up and Let Me Go». Katie White e Jules De Martino li presentano dal vivo assieme alle altre canzoni del cd di debutto «We Started Nothing».

Altre serate live da ballare? Di sicuro quella del 20 ai Magazzini Generali con la nuova regina della black music Estelle: alzi la mano chi riesce a stare fermo sulle note di «American Boy», il singolo inciso dall’artista 26enne con Kanye West. Poi le due date dei nostri Subsonica all’Alcatraz, il 24 e il 25. Per chi ama scatenarsi sotto il palco segnaliamo anche i Cajun Dance Party, il 21 al Plastic. Elettronica dalle atmosfere più oscure quella dei Ladytron, tra i protagonisti del «Nokia Trends Lab», il 20 all’Alcatraz con Bugo e altri gruppi e dj. Se andate pazzi per il reggae meglio lo show del giamaicano Capleton, il 19 al Live Club di Trezzo sull’Adda. Il metal è di casa al Palasharp il 18 con i mascherati Slipknot, impegnati nella promozione del nuovo lavoro «All Hope Is Gone» (in apertura Machine Head e Children of Bodom).

Grande attesa, inoltre, per il concerto – il 19 ai Magazzini -

Gianluca Grignani allo Smeraldo mascherato da Joker

dei Black Keys, blues rock band originaria dell’Ohio in tour con il quinto disco «Attack & Release» (supporter, gli acclamati Okkervil River). Non è tutto. Oltre che con i già citati Baglioni e Subsonica, la musica italiana si fa sentire al Teatro Smeraldo: il 18 con Gianluca Grignani e le versioni unplugged di pezzi come «Cammina nel sole», «Il re del niente» e «Destinazione paradiso»; tra il 19 e il 22 con il napoletano Massimo Ranieri. Tiene alta la bandiera dell’hip hop tricolore, invece, il rapper milanese Marracash, autore del tormentone estivo «Badabum Cha Cha», il 21 al Live Club di Trezzo. Mentre alla Fnac incontrano i fan Tiziano Ferro (il 22) e il duo Il Genio, che si è trasformato in pochi mesi da piccolo cult indie a fenomeno nazionale grazie al successo del singolo «Pop Porno» (il 24).

Nell’Agenda 7Giorni tutti i dettagli e altri appuntamenti: si va dal miscuglio di spunti pop e sintetizzatori degli statunitensi Iglu & Hartly (alla Casa 139 il 20) al cantautore Vasco Brondi, in arte Luci Della Centrale Elettrica, reduce dalla conquista del premio Tenco per l’album d’esordio «Canzoni da spiaggia deturpata» (il 19 al Circolo Magnolia), per arrivare a The Niro, ovvero il giovane songwriter romano Davide Combusti, classe 1978, ospite, il 24 alla Salumeria della Musica, del programma di Lifegate Radio «Rock Files».

Musically, the past two weeks have been fairly diverse. Representing the indie, experimental electronica and London rap scenes were Cajun Dance Party, Holy Fuck and Akala.

Cajun Dance Party

I will begin with last week’s Cajun Dance Party (with some trepidation after the extreme slating I got from Bromheads Jacket on their forum), who were a very pleasant surprise. I was expecting some awful teenage indie dance thrashing and whining pop (I only went because I like their song Amylase) and a crowd full of teenagers wearing braces and waistcoats in the way that so many Oxford teenagers insist on doing. And while the braces and waistcoats were present it was possible to ignore them and appreciate the strange ensemble on stage. The band consisted of three very Jewish looking young whippersnappers in leather jackets with giant brown curly mop-tops a la Simon Amstel making up one side of the stage, with an older gentleman with a full face of stubble and a slightly rockier edge (possibly an older brother?) on bass and a previously unseen blonde creature on keyboard. Given that I had previously heard no evidence of a keyboard in their music this was rather surprising, but pleasant nonetheless.

which the surprisingly large Tuesday night crowd knew and crooned along to while the lead singer flung his ridiculously skinny legs and curiously 80s-esque baggy shirt around the stage in a way that, had he not been singing, would have looked like a full on temper tantrum. There was a surprise at the end when the female keyboardist sang a song that must have been new as the crowd seemed as surprised as I was that this otherwise fairly silent member of the band got a whole song.

Overall it was a pleasant experience, surprising that they weren’t as excruciatingly indie as they came off without being too quirkily not-indie. If you see what I mean.

Next up was Akala. I had only heard some of his material from the excellent film Kidulthood, which is all about crime and teenagers in London, as is much of Akala’s material. The crowd was full of the same sort of waistcoated gits from Cajun Dance Party and a few more hardcore rap types plus me and an equally slightly uncomfortable friend, glee because we hadn’t had to pay. Now while he’s not an untalented youth of 19, he does have some fairly extreme claims to his name. First of all, he rambled on and on about how he is one of the only rappers to move from the show-off, look at my cars and rack of semi-naked prostitutes here to appreciate how I can blow my nose on all my money type of rap but rap about real life and things. I think we all know that’s not true. He also went on a long rant about how he was the first rapper to use backing music of all genres, though I think Kanye West might have something to say about that as well, if no one else.

Otherwise it was good. For a rapper he certainly could not dance and thus we had much fun at the back emulating something very similar to the chicken-walk going on on-stage. The crowd seemed fairly into it and it was good fun if you like that sort of thing.

Holy Fuck

The music fortnight ended with favourites Holy Fuck. First seen and reviewed at Roskilde festival this summer, they were once more on top form in Oxford. It took the crowd a little longer to get into it this time but, fuelled by drink and well rested beforehand, which we were not at the festival, it was excellent. We fell in with a dancing crowd of the late-twenties slightly nerdy men that Holy Fuck attracts and danced for a good hour to all their best stuff, including Milkshake, Royal Gregory (which sounds suspiciously similar to the Flight of the Conchords themetune) and then ending with Lovely Allen. Holy Fuck are such a good live show that a lot of the people in the crowd, presumably long-term fans, simply stand there, heads back looking like they’re having some sort of relgious experience. Perhaps this influenced the band’s choice of name.

I thoroughly recommend going to see Holy Fuck live because, if nothing else, they have some extremely wacky instruments on stage and it’s great watching music come out of a film cannister.

Le festival des inrocks aura lieu du 12 au 18 novembre à Paris, Lille, Nantes et Toulouse, et sort l’artillerie lourde dès le premier soir parisien : les héros américains de 2008, MGMT, viendront présenter leur fantastique Oracular Spectacular aux côtés d’Alela Diane et de Fleet Foxes, probables champions de la rentrée, sur la scène de l’Olympia le 12 novembre. Le concert est… déjà complet ! Et ouais déjà, dommage. On vous avez prévenu (enfin non mais quand plansplan conseille qq chose il faut se dépêcher !)

Suivront ensuite, en vrac et entre autres, le grand retour de Franz Ferdinand, les Anglais The Kooks, les Brésiliens CSS, la jeune Française Soko, la pop sexy des Ting Tings, le post-punk agité de Foals, la britpop brute de Cajun Dance Party, la nouvelle sensation américaine Black Kids, les Anglais de Mystery Jets… A noter également une grande soirée electro qui verra se côtoyer entre autres Hot Chip et les Australiens de Cut Copy.

Sem lançar nada desde o primogênito The Colorful Life, de 2008 mesmo, a banda inglesa Cajun Dance Party, soltou na rede a faixa Five Days, que deve fazer parte do próximo álbum, previsto para sair ainda este ano.

Vous voyez, ce matin en me réveillant, d’une humeur plutôt correct, j’ai lu que les Babyshambles allait sortir un troisième album et me voilà, d’humeur maussade. Car, si vous aussi, vous avez entendu dire que Carl et Pete avait fait un mini concert ensemble et que ca c’était bien passé, vous comprenez ma déception. Pas que je sois une fan transi des Libertines. Puisque soyons claire, je ne veux pas qu’ils se reforment.(allez y, jetez moi des cailloux, même pas mal!)Les deux albums des LIbertines étaient superbes, mais voilà, ils faut que ca reste un mythe. Pour revenir aux Babyshambles, je ne veux plus de ce groupe. Ce concert au Zenith était si décevant que je crois que je ne m’en remettrai jamais. Je ne les ai même pas réécouté depuis ce jour, un peu comme MGMT(ce qui est fort dommage vu la qualité de l’album en lui_même). Bref, j’aimerai bien que Pete Doherty passe à autre chose….mais que puis-je y faire…

Ce pourquoi vous êtes obligés d’écouter cette playlist ?

1. Le grand événement, c’est bien sur, la mise en ligne du titre Another Way To Die par le duo tant attendu (au tournant) Jack White et Alicia Keys.  Si, vous êtes passés par ici, avant, vous avez pu voir que je fus légèrement(même un peu plus que ça) surexcité par ce titre. Donc avant tout commentaire, je voulais encore remercier cette chére Mlle Charlotte pour m’avoir donner le lien et Mlle Hans pour sa généreuse donation de lien zshare(voir dans les commentaires). Il ne faut pas oublier que Another way To Die, c’est avant tout une chanson de James Bond, d’ailleurs Jack à dis ceci. Donc, on est un peu obligé d’attendre la sortie du film pour constater la véritable ampleur de la chose( 31octobre). Les paroles peuvent être lu sur le forum d’allociné.Bon, je ne vais pas y aller par 4chemins (pourquoi pas 6 ou 7chemins..personne ne la jamais su) : c’est de la bombe. Bien sur, Jack White est maître dans cette histoire, il a en effet écrit et composé cette chanson, en plus de jouer de la batterie(oui, il faut rappeler que c’est comme même lui qui a appris a Meg White à jouer de la batterie) et de chanter. Alicia Keys a vraiment une voix superbe, même moi, je ne pourrais pas le nier. Le duo est surprenant et très excitant par ce mélange (même si je trouve que la voix d’Alicia Keys n’est pas vraiment mise en valeur) de deux styles assez différents. Enfin, je vais vous dire, ce titre est MAGIQUE! Pour conclure, lisez ça, et ça.
2. J’ai craqué, j’ai pris le dernier Oasis. D’habitude, je n’écoute pas sérieusement les albums de Oasis, car il faut être honnête c’est un petit peu toujours la même chose, mais là, je ne sais pas, serait-ce la pochette, ou le nom, je l’ai religieusement engloutie. Je ne suis pas une fan inconditionnel donc je passerais sur les comparaisons inter-albums. Donc, dans espoir d’être le plus neutre possible, cet album est superbe.C’est très pop par endroit , mais ça a son charme; le rock règne bien entendu. Enfin, je vais réécouter ça pour me faire une meilleure idée. Mais pour l’instant, c’est plutôt positif. Ce titre est pour moi le plus réussi…mais c’est bien subjectif.
3. Et, oui, nos cher Cajun Dance Party sortent ENFIN du neuf. Ils ont toujours eu le chic d’être tres généreux et de nous filer toutes les nouvelles démos. Moi fan, je suis comblée. C’est vrai que ca ne change pas beaucoup, mais moi j’aime ça, je n’aime pas que les artistes prennent trop de risque perdant parfois leur propre signature qui faisait leur qualité. Les CJD, c’est les Kooks du bon coté de la force. J’ai toujours été amoureuse de Yoda.
4. Pour être franche, la première fois que j’ai écouté cette reprise, j’ai trouvé que c’était du gros n’importe quoi; comme a chaque fois que j’écoute un nouveau M.I.A..Puis on s’habitue, quelques écoutes plus tard, on est des accros.  Bref, c’est différent, c’est imaginatif, créatif, superbe, brillant : Bref, super cool si vous voulez mon avis.
5. Quelques nouvelles chansons de Spoon trainent sur le net, toutes versions live pour l’instant. Ca ne me déçoit pas du tout, ca donne même l’eau à la bouche. C’est dingue comment cette voix a un effet hypnotisant…je suis désormais a l’affut d’un album leaké…Ps: je suis la seule à trouver que la voix ressemble à celle de Benjamin de La nouvelle star?
6. Je fus tenté de mettre une autre chanson extraite du EP de Antony & the Johnsons, puisque je l’ai en ma possession, mais je trouvais ça assez mesquin de ma part et très hautain (même si avoir préciser que je l’avais me procure une sensation vil et perverse qu’est la fierté et l’orgeuil.). Bref, on s’en fout tout le monde là et si vous ne l’avez pas, le résumé sera : lent et triste.Bref, je mets comme même Shake That Evil comme tout le monde, car c’est tout simplement la meilleure et tout le monde a raison. Très jazzy, très folk aussi. C’est calme mais entrainant, triste mais avec sourire au coin. Enfin, c’est beau, poétique presque. Enfin, n’abusons pas, c’est une très bonne chanson point barre.
7. Je ne voulais pas vraiment la postée, car tout le monde l’avait déjà fait mais je m’en fou un peu, cette chanson est vraiment superbe et plus elle sera écouté, plus on lui rendra hommage. Car, ce mélange est tout simplement fabuleux. C’est pour cela que certains font de la musique.…en espérant que tous aient le même but.
8. Encore une des chansons du nouveaux Oasis. Rien à ajouté de particulier. Je tenais tout de même à dire que beaucoup on trouvé cet album de Oasis assez nul….enfin….soyez avertis
9. Little Joy étant le nouveau groupe de Fab Moretti(The Strokes…au cas où leur looonguuue loooonnnguuueee absence aurait provoqué une amnésie), je devais lui réservait une petite place ici. Après, vous dire que cela ma transcendé serait un peu malhonnête de ma part. c’est bon, sympathique, cocotier et surfeur, mais c’est pas la grande révolution. J’y prend plaisir malgré tout. Commencer une journée avec ceci, vous donne un sourire radieu(tel que celui du petit Fabrizio )
10. On finit, toujours plus en douceur avec cette jolie reprise, folk à l’honneur pour la fin de cette playlist.

ps: je suis désolé, trois mois sans cours et ca y est je ne sais plus faire des phrases construites et corrects…

Idag har det varit en grym dag, det var länge sedan jag hade en sådan. Om jag ska börja från scratch så hade jag imorse klockan 09.00 föreläsning i juridiken; Idag handlade det om Associationsrätt som var över min förväntan riktigt grymt. Igår var det Arbetsrätt och hittils så slår juridikkursen allt hitintills. Har en väldigt bra lärare så han bidrar nog mycket..

Senare på eftermiddagen vid 14-snåret ringde min kära syster Caroline och förtäljde att hon hittat en lägenhet i Kalmar åt mig, som hon sedan hade ringt på. Tog kontakt med hyresvärlden som för övrigt var kanontrevlig, allting resulterade i att jag, imorn ska till Kalmar på visning. Förhoppningsvis är den lika fin som hon sa. en etta i södra Kalmar – cirkus sju minuter från centrum (gång), 18 kvm, pentry och eget badrum, vindsvåning med snetak – 3000 kr. Det låter onekligen väldigt bra, vi får hoppas för jag sa idag upp min lägenhet i Hultsfred.

Tog sedan min cykel ner på stan och klippte mig hos någon jävla kärring – är dock inte nöjd, men å andra sidan var jag inte nöjd med frisyren som den var innan, men det blir nog bra bara det får växa i ett par veckor.  Men detta besöker fick mig att VERKLIGEN uppskatta KLOAK hemma i Västerås. ack ack.

Vidare inleddes kvällen med att jag, Love och Filip cyklade bort till simhallen där dem simmade och jag med min förbannade träningsverk solade solarium för att efter det ta ett par bira i bastun. Helt enkelt en kanondag med undantag för bonnakärringen/frisörskan.
