starring the beautiful son ye-jin and the charismatic ji jin-hee, the drama tells the journey of a city desk reporter towards success. in the drama, son ye-jin pursues her dream passionately to land the anchor-woman position. ji jin-hee plays her mentor in the drama.

wondering why on earth i’m talking about a k-drama out of a sudden? hehe, then surely you haven’t watched spotlight!

whoa it’s been almost a year since the white background had some new paint on it. now that i’m busy with audio engineering and performing i’ve managed other blogs germaine to the subjects stated above; yet i need to get back to laying down some cameo thoughts from me, cami-mac….cameo thoughts huh? just brief thoughts from someone famous like me…and you-we all havev to believe in ourselves right? so be prepared to read brief blog entries about what occurs on a daily basis….yeah, that deep-only if you give me one hand we can go as deep as we will imagine

As of this week, Otaku Designs has hit the one year mark in SL.

Originally my intent was to move my older merchandise that I had marked down 50% off to XStreet but with the current changes, sadly there is no way I can afford to keep up my listings on XStreet. I will look for alternative methods for gifting but in the meantime I have extended my 50% sale and I have made all my older items trans. The sale officially ends 11/28/09 and they will no longer be available inworld or on any websites.

En este caso, se trata de un cameo, una aparición fugaz, del viejo y conocido R2D2 (Arturito para los amigos), en la nueva película de Star Trek de J. J. Abrams. Si no la viste, pará de leer, cerrá la ventana del navegador y apagá la pc ya! Si la viste, es en la parte donde el Enterprise va a investigar una flota de Klingon destruida. Entre los escombros y pedazos de nave que vuelan por todas partes, se ve al pequeño robot vagando sin rumbo.

Today is the first day I have ever been on the Missguided website (www.missguided.co.uk), and I was suprised to find that they actually have some pretty nice clothes, at a bargain price!! When you go onto the website it is a bit too similar to the ASOS hompage and when you start looking through the clothes on offer you do come across a few ‘tacky’ bits and pieces, however, if you search there are surprisingly some rather nice items!

I’ve spent the last 3 days updating my spotify player with music I remember from the ’80s. The days when I could party for 4 days on the trot and not feel knackered at the end of it all. All I ever felt was extremely hungry at the end of the night.

I didn’t give a 2nd thought to waking up at 1 in the afternoon & just lounging around going over the events of the previous night with my girlfriends.

Oh, those were the days.

My playlist keeps growing … as I remember songs or artists, I type these in and let spotify do the searching.

Being a Nihongophile, Squeenix’s track record of assigning Japanese theme songs to their record-smashing, century-devouring games has never proved too much of a problem for me. For other mere mortals, mere mortals like Myles, can there be anything more frustrating than not understanding a game’s theme song? The very soul of a product, in ballad form. Its comprehension beyond your reach. A reality I shudder to contemplate. Having learnt Japanese for the sole purpose of translating these aural epics, I can tell you, with no trace of mendacity, that they’re meaningless gibberish music is better for these songs existing.

So take heart then, friends! Final Fantasy XIII will have an English theme song for it’s North American and European release! This is genuine progress – a major step towards Squeenix getting to grips with that elusive global audience. To celebrate this, they’ve selected….

Latina Magazine/Lee Hernandez—By George, I think he’s got it. Comedian George Lopez’s new late-night talk show, Lopez Tonight, premiered to a very healthy 3.1 million viewers Monday night on three Turner Networks: TBS, TNT and TruTV, says Variety.

1.7 million of those combined total viewers watched the show on TBS—a good thing for the show since that’s where it will air weekly at 11 p.m. But more importantly, the debut—which featured guests Eva Longoria Parker, Kobe Bryant and Carlos Santana—performed solidly among adults (1 million viewers) in the key 18-49 demographic that advertisers love. “That’s higher than the current season averages (though not the premieres) of the adult demo draws for talk shows like CBS’ Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart. If you use the combined three-net number, the show was sampled by more adult demo viewers than Conan O’Brien or David Letterman’s average,” writes The Hollywood Reporter’s James Hibberd.

In even more good news for Lopez Tonight, the show, which aired in place of TBS’s usual reruns of My Name is Earl drew 70% higher household ratings than Earl. “Viewers are ready for a change, and George Lopez is an exciting addition to late-night television,” said Steve Koonin, president of Turner Entertainment Networks. “We are extremely proud of the success of last night’s premiere of Lopez Tonight and are confident the show will continue to be a big late-night hit.”

‘Lopez Tonight‘ offers surprising DNA test to Larry David

Orlando Sentinel—TBS’ “Lopez Tonight” is billing itself as the first late-night show to offer DNA testing of its guests.

The shows promises that its Thursday episode will be different: “Larry David (‘Curb Your Enthusiasm‘) will get the surprise of his life when his true ethnicity is revealed.”

And the show hosted by George Lopez made this questionable boast: “It’s sure to be as good as an episode of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm.‘”

Spoiler Alert: On the show last night, Larry discovered that he is 63 percent European, and 37 percent Native American.

• Push methods outline specific instructions and require some sort of activity such as email, refreshers, conference calls, check in calls.

In this session we were introduced to  Cameo®, a Web-based tool that delivers scenario-based learning via e-mail, making learning reinforcement easy and effective.

Key functions of Cameo include:

• It delivers scenario-based assessments via e-mail (completed in email)
• Shortly after they hit “send” they receive coaching and feedback based on their decision via a return email.
• As Learners reply to the scenarios, their responses are aggregated within the system and interactive reports are generated. These reports allow you to measure the effectiveness of your training and target specific topics for follow-up training.

 This tool can be attached to any LMS to enable clients to deliver targeted, contextual refresher questions to participants after the completion of any training. Cameo is designed to minimise the effects of the forgetting curve. 

This presentation drew heavily on the research done by Will Thalheimer in the field of training and performance.  See his paper on “Providing Learners with Feedback”.

Cameo Cafe - Vancouver, WA

For my first official restaurant blog entry, I decided to do what all writers do – write what they know. That’s why I chose Sue Gee’s Cameo Cafe in Vancouver, WA as the first stop on my breakfast culinary tour. My family and I have never been disappointed with the service or the food.

This cafe is one of two locations. The first opened in Portland, OR in 1968. The best thing about this place is its hometown feel with quirky decor and friendly service. It’s the home-style cooking that keeps folks coming back. The best thing about the Vancouver location is the view of Club Green Meadows Golf Course. Be sure to ask for a window seat. If the weather is nice, take advantage of their outdoor seating, but please don’t heckle the duffers.

Pindaettak - Korean Pancake

On this visit, I couldn’t resist Cameo’s French Toast Special which included thick, perfectly battered slices of French toast and two slices of meaty, crispy bacon. My husband went for his “usual” – the Pindaettak (pin-day-tuck) which is Korean for pancake. This is a savory plate-sized pancake made with veggies, beans, spices and ground rice served with a side of two eggs, bacon and their famous Strong Bread toast. Every meal comes with toast. When given the choice, take a chance and order the Strong Bread. It’s nutty, slightly sweet, and crusted with poppy seeds – a delicious, perfect sideshow to everything on the breakfast menu.

1/4 Acre Pancake

My daughter is Pancake Queen. Her domain is this “Home of the Acre Pancake”. They serve pancakes in 1/4 acre increments – each of which are the size of a 12-inch dinner plate. Servers warn folks against ordering the full acre. Having said that, ALL portions are huge. Don’t be shy about asking for a doggie bag. Plenty of customers carry a Styrofoam container out of Cameo’s front door.

Drinks are somewhat spendy, but they come in generous sizes. My son’s hot chocolate came in a mug and looked more like dessert with its whipped cream, chocolate sauce and colorful sprinkles. My daughter insists that I point out that the lemonade was not too tart and just the right amount of sweetness. I had fresh squeezed OJ, not too sweet and surprisingly low pulp. My husband rated his coffee a 3 on the 1 to 5 scale. The good news is that his cup was never empty. $3.95 – $12.95

Bagi yang udah liat episode 9 drama populer ‘You’re Beautiful’, pastinya bakalan kaget dengan kemunculan Yoo Seung Ho dalam salah satu adegan dimana Go Mi Nam dengan cepat-cepat pergi dari mini market sehabis membeli sebotol air mineral untuk Hwang Tae Kyung.

Asalnya gue gak terlalu yakin sama apa yang gw liat, karena mirip sama Yoo Seung Ho, makanya bagian ini gw print screen dan walhasil, emang beneran Yoo Seung Ho jadi cameo di drama You’re Beautiful. Dan gw, ketawa karena hal kayak gini gak gw tebak sebelumnya. Munculnya Yoo ibarat surprise party dan juga fan-service untuk penggemarnya.

Begitupula yang dirasakan sama penonton di negara asal drama ini, Korea. Yang gw kutip dari Newsen via Nate. Keterkejutan mereka sama kayak terkejutnya gw di sini. Gimana sama kalian yang nonton episode 9? Sama terkejutnyakah kayak gw?

Baru kali ini gw nonton drama populer yang trendy macem ‘You’re Beautiful’ yang bikin gw ngakak, nangis dan juga puas. Oke, dalam perolehan rating YAB gak terlalu bagus tapi stabil dari minggu-keminggu karena masih kebanting sama ‘IRIS’. Di sini ciri khas Hong sister’s yang jadi pedoman gw kalo liat drama komedi-romantis bikin gw puas. Dan mereka kadang-kadang suka bikin kejutan-kejutan yang gak terduga, salah satunya kemunculan Yoo Seung Ho dan juga kritikan halus terhadap ‘IRIS’– saingan YAB dalam salah satu dialog Bos A.N.Entertainment ketika menyampaikan pendapatnya untuk syuting video klip, dimana manager Go Minam menyarankan untuk membuat video klip yang bertemakan action-blockbuster. Bos itu cuman bilang, “Syuting di luar negeri, bikin ledakan besar disana-sini bukan berarti video itu bagus. Lagi pula dananya dari mana?” Haha…:)
