Totally In a Good Mood

o, and regarding the style of music of “what we came here for” i’ll tell you now.
So, it starts off with like, light acoustic guitar. No one is on the stage except for the guitarist and i think nick and kevin, like nick on the piano or drums, i forgot

Joe and Demi are both in the middle of the crowd. It was a theatre, so there were seats and stuff. All the extras were sitting down, and Joe and Demi were in between some of the seats (if you read my article before, Joe was right in front of me!) Joe is on the left, and demi is on the right. So anyways, Joe starts singing, its a really pretty melody. Then demi sings. They join in together singing in harmony, and as they do so, they start walking towards the center of the crowd. They reach eachotehr and start singing to eachother in the middle, then they start making their way down the stairs of the seating area towards the stage in the prechorus. Then right as the chorus starts, BAM, they jump on the stage, all the dancers come in, and eveyrone is singing together. The song becomes really party-ish and fun, and Joe and Demi keep singing to the fans (i got moved to the front, so i got to experience the beginning with joe and demi in front of me, and then the first chorus and on in the front as well ) and to themselves. The dancers and doing their thang and it reminds me a lot of “we’re all in this together” or “all for one” from hsm. Its that kind of song, because its Camp Rock’s turn to perform in the competition against Camp Star. (at the very beginning, there is even an announcer from “Hit TV” or something, that goes like “and now…camp rock!” and there’s a poster behind the extras in the amphitheatre saying “HIT TV…CAMP WARS”)
Once the chorus starts and everyone jumps on the stage, the extras come up and start cheering, and these huge inflated clear balls start flying everywhere for the extras to hit. They were like beach balls, u know?
Also, in the song, Kevin/Jason and the “Jr Rockers” (that he leads) have a solo (Kevin and Frankie and some other kid play guitar, and these two kids do some dance moves that are really awesome ). There are also trampolines and stuff and its a really exciting number.

The end of the song is exciting and like, all of them end in a pose. The crowd (extras) goes wild, and Mitchie and Shane share a hug at the end (Demi even put her leg up, u know, when ur in love ).

Thats about all i can think of explaining to you guys, about the “What we came here for” number. The song was all about friendships and like, teamwork and stuff, the whole “this is what we came here for”, they came to camp rock to have fun and have good times. The slow beginning between mitchie and shane was all about looking to ur friends when your down, and stuff like that. I dont remember exact lyrics, but i do remember the “this is what we came here for” line, cuz it was repeated so much.

When they discover this secret, she is banned from all camp activities. Mitchie still have to deal with Tess Tyler (Meaghan Jette Martin) and her friends Ella (Anna Maria Perez de Tagle) and Peggy (Jasmine Richards), the torture. She feels discouraged, but Shane hears Mitchie singing – through the door, without seeing her – he begins to find the girl behind the beautiful voice because the music she was singing reminds him of a song he loved. But first Mitchie must confront her fears and leave the kitchen to the stage.

On Saturday, November 14, celebrities and members of the media from Los Angeles joined together to volunteer their time to raise awareness of the Foodbank’s growing need for donations and volunteer support this holiday season. The special event hosted by Jennifer Love Hewitt and the American Women in Radio & Television Southern California Chapter, kicked off the LA Regional Foodbank’s “Season for Sharing.”

Celebrity spokesperson, Ajay Mehta, who appears in the General Mills Fiber One ad campaign, presented the LA Regional Foodbank with 10 pallets of Fiber One cereal and chewy bars donated by the General Mills Foundation during Celebrity and Media Volunteer Day. “General Mills generous gift of food will help make the holidays more plentiful for many families in need,” says Laura Behrman, President of the AWRT SoCal Chapter. “And we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their significant contribution and for everyone who contributed their time to participate in Saturday’s day of giving.”

Kevin’s character is helping the Jr. Rockers. There will be a kiss between Mitchie and Shane! A new music camp, Camp Star, rivals Camp Rock. Tess Tyler leaves Camp Rock for Camp Star. The Final Jam is a battle to see which camp has the strong talent.

Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream, una popular serie de formato corto, también seleccionada para la Segunda Temporada, comienza a producirse en Europa.

Disney Channel ha puesto en marcha la pre producción de la segunda temporada de la serie de comedia JONAS, protagonizada por los artistas ganadores de varios discos de platino, los Jonas Brothers, y por las populares actrices Chelsea Staub y Nicole Anderson. Dos productores nuevos y destacados, Lester Lewis (The Office, The Larry Sanders Show) y Paul Hoen (director y co-productor de Camp Rock 2: The Jam Final, ganador del DGA Award por la dirección de Jump In! y director de The Cheetah Girls: Un mundo, entre otros), han sido nombrados productores ejecutivos de la serie. Grab hold of your popcorn and strap yourselves into your seats because this week’s X Factor was like a real life horror film.

Stacey Solomon was up first, singing ‘Son of a Preacher Man’ from the soundtrack to Pulp Fiction, and I thought that she really came into her own this week.  Simon compared Stacey’s performance to ‘eating Chinese food’ and still being hungry afterwards, to this she replied: “I felt good.”  Chinese food?  What’s that all about?!  You tell him Stacey!

Olly Murs was next, singing ‘Twist and Shout’ from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.  I also thought that Olly did well this week, although a small part of me would like to see him do something different from a jazzy number at some point.  Louis enjoyed the majority of Olly’s performance but added: “I wasn’t crazy about the silly dancing”.  Me neither, but apparently it’s in the film.

After being in the bottom two last week, Lloyd Daniels came back singing ‘Stand By Me’ from the film of the same name.  Despite the fact that he sang Sean Kingston’s version, I thought Lloyd did pretty well.  Dannii noticed that he had a tuning problem during his performance, but on the whole thought it was ‘nice’.

Jamie Archer was next and I was worried for him once more this week because Simon had changed his song again.  He was originally going to sing ‘Unchained Melody’ by U2, but thankfully his song was changed to ‘Crying’ by Roy Orbison, which was in a film called Gummo.  It was nice to see Jamie sing a ballad and put a rock slant on it, rather than sing a pure rock song.  Cheryl said: “Simon did you well changing the song because I think ‘Unchained Melody’ would have been absolutely disastrous for you”.  I agree!

Next was Lucie Jones, singing a song from Camp Rock called ‘This is Me’.  I’ve never seen this film, but thought the song sounded very autobiographical for Lucie.  Louis and Simon thought that this performance made her a strong competitor in the competition.

Then it was the turn of Danyl Johnson, who sang ‘Purple Rain’ from the film of the same name.  Danyl was back on form  this week and had a new haircut to match.  Dannii enjoyed the performance, but admitted she doesn’t like it when Danyl screams.  No – screaming is never good!

John and Edward were next up with the theme to the film ‘Ghostbusters’.  It sure was a visual spectacle and something you  would expect to see on a kids’ TV show.  Simon described their performance as ’sort of good’.  Yeah – I’d go with that.

Joe McElderry closed the show with the song ‘Circle of Life’ from The Lion King.  I thought Joe’s performance was a tad on the theatrical side, but good at the same time.  Dannii thought along the same lines and described his performance as ‘Les Mis mixed with Lion King’.

Blimey – don’t think I’ve ever seen so many films in such a short space of time!

The Results

On Sunday, after great performances from The Black Eyed Peas…

…and Leona Lewis…

…it was time for the most shocking bottom two result yet.  Lucie ended up in the danger zone along with John and Edward.  Simon had the deciding vote amongst the judges and he sent the vote to deadlock.  It seemed that he had changed his tune about the twins and shockingly, Lucie received less votes than them from the public.

What did you think about this week’s result?  It’s going to take me a few days to come to terms with it all!

Demi just released her second CD, Here We Go Again, and finished filming Camp Rock with the Jonas Brothers this past month. She sings the song for her sitcom, “Sonny With a Chance” which can be found on her newest CD. Demi also went on tour this summer, making stops across the United States with American Idol runner up David Archuleta. Demi has arguably the strongest voice out of the three Disney starlets, and she has had a number of hits on Radio Disney. My favorite songs by her are “Remember December” – the video for which will be out in the next few weeks – and “Here We Go Again.”

Her voice will be booming on the big screen once again when Camp Rock 2 premieres in 2010 on Disney Channel.

Movie night this week, and most contestants handed in an at-the-very-least-acceptable performance. Again, there was one obvious stand-out, a lot of ‘good’, and some not so good. Dannii’s back in her old position (beside Louis, not Simon), Cheryl’s a cow, Simon’s patronising and Louis is funny. He also namedrops Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift, so go Louis.

The performances…

Stacey opened the show with a decent version of Dusty Springfield’s ‘Son of a Preacher Man’. She sang it quite well, performed it quite well and looked hot, and it’s a great song, but there’s a problem. This song has never been one that’s translated well on these kind of shows, IMO. It lacks the punch required to make a real impact, and it’s a hard song to – I’m stealing an X Factor cliche here – make your own. Add that to the fact that she opened the show, and Stacey could be in trouble this week.

Olly sang ‘Twist and Shout’, and it’s typical Olly. Goofy dancing, screwed up face, okay-ish vocals, a big production…you get the point. Louis criticises the song-choice, and Dannii doesn’t think he (Olly) was fussed on the song himself. I agree…there was a bigger disconnection than ever this week. You can barely hear the other two over the audience. Well, at least some people get him.

Lloyd was out to redeem himself, and he was certainly better than last week, but that’s not saying much. He sang ‘Stand By Me’, and his voice sounded pretty enough. He fell flat quite a lot though, and he completely lost the melody at one point. Oh, and there was this one really cringy moment where he went down to Chezza, held onto her hand and pleading with her to stand by him. Gosh, he’s totally infatuated, and she’s loving every moment of it. Ethan should do something.

Jamie sang ‘Crying’ pretty badly. He was flat to begin with, and kept switching between keys. Still, he’s a ‘rocker’, so he’s allowed to go off-key, obviously. He just wasn’t very good. Story of Jamie’s X Factor run thus far. I hope he finally goes this week.

Lucie sang ‘This Is Me’ from Camp Rock. It’s an awful, bland nu-Disney song, but still, she managed to make it sound good, which says a lot about this girl’s talent. It wasn’t as good as the last two weeks, but that’s understandable. I sort of wish she’d sung a proper Disney song, like ‘Colors of the Wind’ or ‘I Won’t Say I’m In Love’ or something like that. Perhaps it wouldn’t have been as contemporary, but she would’ve sounded great. Oh well.

Danyl won the night with his version of ‘Purple Rain’. No questions asked, really. The song absolutely complimented his tone, and he didn’t overdo it or try too hard. It just worked. Was it as good as Ruth’s? Maybe not, but the situation’s different, and it was a different take on the song. Cheryl compliments him for toning down the cockiness, but he was never cocky to begin with, so she really needs to drop it. And Cheryl’s the last person to criticise anyone’s personality, to be honest. Punched out any toilet attendants recently, Chezza? One other thing: Danyl cut his hair! He still looks sexy as hell, but I liked the old hair. :/ Oh well. Great performance.

John&Edward sing Ghostbusters. Ha. Dannii’s not even humouring them anymore. Go Dannii. I’ve been over these two since the Britney song. Whatever.

Joe closes the show with ‘Circle of Life’, and sounds great (as usual), but is brought down by the weird production, and he chose to modulate the pitch and arrangement in some weird places. Good though. And reliable. Joe’s very reliable. And I don’t his musical theatre-ish-ness much, because he’d do great in that area, and X Factor doesn’t necessarily have to lead to a major recording career.

Okay, as if things weren’t strange enough with this guy Lil’ Damian talking smack about the Jonas Bros., now he says Miley Ray Cyrus’ kissing sucks! According to Lil’ Damian, he had a passionate dream about Miley, and in his dream, he couldn’t kiss her without puking, because he said her potty mouth tasted like an ashtray.

Demi y joe estuvieron muy juntos en los detrás de escena de la película Camp Rock, todos los que participaron en la película alquilaron chaquetas porque en Canadá hacia mucho frio, Joe le sostenía la chaqueta de Demi y hasta le daba la de el; también casi siempre se la pasaban agarrados de las manos y se iban por su lado.

Esta no fue la única relación detrás de escena porque  Kevin y su novia Danielle  se la pasaron hablando de la boda, después que se fueron los extras de la película.

Tal parece que entre Demi y Joe hay algo pero todavía no esta confirmado pero Kevin y Danielle se ven muy felices juntos.
