Canadian motor company, Campagna Motors, has truly carved out a nice space for themselves in the three-wheeled motor industry.  With previous models powered by Kawasaki and Harley-Davidson engines, the T-REX 16S is equipped with a BMW motorcycle engine.

Weighing at an impressive 160 horsepower and 129 lb-ft of torque, the engine is powered by a 6-speed sequential transmission.  Additional features include an Alphine audio system compatible with iPod/iPhone/USB, as well as Bluetooth connectivity and Sirius satellite radio.

The reason? Well, they had a new toy to show off and couldn’t wait to take the wraps off their newest engine, a BMW in-line six cylinder that now powers the T-REX 16S.

Even though the official launch is only scheduled for this spring, this hybrid between a motorcycle and a car is now ready to roll worldwide and a limited number of vehicles are offered during the pre-sale period. It will be possible to get a first peek of this dream machine during the Quebec City Motorcycle and VTT Show from February 4 to 6, at the Centre des foires de Québec, as well as at the Montreal Motorcycle Show, from February 25 to 27, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

An extraordinary vehicle

Entirely handmade, this reverse trike is powered by a 1250cc Harley Davidson’s engine that develops 122 horsepower. It is usually necessary to possess a motorcycle driver’s licence to drive it (except in the province of Quebec, where a passenger vehicle driver’s licence is enough, contrary to other vehicles, such as the Can-Am Spyder, which require lessons). The V13R is offered in five colours with a few options. This unique vehicle, offering the driving quality of a sport car and the freedom of a motorcycle, is offered at a starting price of $ 47,999.

Contrary to what one may think, the V13R is very spacious. As an example, Hugo Girard (the Determinator), one of the world’s strongest man, as also fallen for the V13R. “With my 6’2″ and 330 pounds, it is very hard for me to find a vehicle that is exotic and comfortable.
