Pompeii, Herculaneum & Mount Vesuvius

We left Rome Saturday lunchtime – BAD IDEA! We were only going 20 miles down the road to the closest camperstop but it took aaaages as the traffic was rubbish and the road was a loooong line of traffic lights and crazy Italian drivers weaving in and out and beeping their horns and generally making driving the van a bit of a nightmare for Paul. 1,595 more words

When we saw the bike path signposted Nice we had hoped it might be a pleasant stroll but it really wasn’t – 5 miles down beside the motorway L But we arrived in the centre of Nice (a bit too tired to really explore) and found the Tourist Info office. 1,831 more words
