<p style="text-align:justify;">Inabot ng katakot-takot na mga magaganda, masasaya at malulungkot na pangyayari ang dumating sa aking buhay bago ko nagawang magsulat muli dito sa blog na ito..naging busy talaga ako dahil hindi lang sa mga walang kupas na pagtambak ng mga gawain sa skul dulot ng mga teacher kundi pati na rin sa mga masasayang alaala na inihatid ng aking mga bagong kaibigan kaya sobrang tagal bago ko nahawakan ang papel at panulat upang makapagpahayag muli sa inyo..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">At ang mga pangyayari na ito ay tumatak na sa aking isipan, nagbago sa aking pananaw at pilit na nag-iwan ng isang blangkong papel sa aking isipan..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Ito ang istorya kung saan marami akong natutunan at nalaman..ito ang istorya sa likod ng aming pagkanta:</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Nagsimula ang lahat mga june o july , hindi ko na matandaan dahil mas tanda ko ang mga masasayang pangyayari..ito ang simula ng pagpapraktis naming ng mga kantang aming ipinahayag sa mga taong nanuod at sumuporta sa araw na aming pinakahihintay..praktis..praktis..praktis..kasabay ng piano ng aming guro sa pagkanta ay inensayo namin ang mga kantang magpapahayag ng mga bagay-bagay tungkol sa kung ano ba talaga ang tunay na ibig-sabihin ng pasko..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">At ito ang mga araw na hindi ko pa nakikilala ang mga taong ngayon ay mahalaga na sa akin..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">At dumating ang panahong nagkakilakilala na kami dahil sa pagbubuklod ng tatlong eskwelahan dahil nga sa ito ang pangarap ng isang mataas na tao sa administrasyon na iyon- ang magkaroon ng pagsasama-sama ang tatlong chorale at makapaghatid ng isang napakagandang pag-awit..ito ang pangarap niya..pngarap niya noon pa man..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Ang mga araw ng pagkakasama-sama ay nagsimula sa isang pagkakaibigan..marami akong nakilala..nakabatian, nakausap at higit sa lahat, naging malapit ako sa iba sa kanila kaya medyo nalungkot ako ng dumating na ang araw ng pamamaalam..may mga kaibigang dumating nung una pa lamang, may dumating na matatawag mong pahabol na lang…eh panu kung ung mga pahabol na un eh un ang mas naging mahalaga sa iyo? iyon..iyon na nga ang problema..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">“bakit kung kelan sigiradu ka na tska pa mawawala..”</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">masasarap ang mga araw na nakasama qu sila..doon sa cantata na iyon..at habang kasama ko sila, ito ang mga napagdaan namin na kung saan ito ang aming mga natutunan..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">“love is like singing a song that you have sung a thousand times but feeling like it is just the first time you sang it..”</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">sinabi ito ni mam edith sa amin noong mga unang araw pa lamng ng pgpapraktis namin..para nga naman daw magkaroon ng buhay ang ang aming pagawit.. kaming mga choir ay ganoon talaga..basta nakakanta..minsan lang dumating iyong mga oras na nagiging maganda bunga ng aming performance..at higit sa lahat, kami ay maiingay, na kinaiinisan din ni mam edith..pero, dahil masaya naman lagi, mabait naman si mam edith at ineenjoy naman namin ang bawat practice eh, nagiging ayos naman ang lahat..nagiging ayos naman ang samahan..parang maituturing ko nang pangatlong pamilya ang chorale na IYON..( una pamilya ko talaga, pangalawa ang pamilya ko sa klase..) pero kung tutuusin, di naman talaga dapat ako kasama dito eh..naturuan lang, naensayo at nagbunga lang kung bakit ngayon ay kabilang na ako sa grupo na iyon, in short, di naman ako kumakanta dati masyado at siguro, masasabing parang tumutula ako noon..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">pero, swerte pa din..^-^</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">“that is the real story of mankind: we often lose interest to the things we always do..kaya ayan, kung anu-ano na ang ginagawa natin sa buhay..”</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">ito naman ang sinabi ni mam noong napansin niya na wala ng buhay ang aming pagkanta..nagsawa na? nabagot? tinamad? inantok? iyan lahat ng naramdaman namin..biruin mo naman, halos magsi-6 months naming pinraktis ang labinlimang kanta na iyonj..pero dahil sa tulong magaling na isip at bibig ni mam sa pagsasabi ng words of wisdom..nabubuhayan kami muli sa tuwing darating si katams..hehe.. by the way, ito na iyong mga panahong nagkasamasama na ang talong schools..dito ko na sila nakilala..kaya naging mas masaya ang mga moments..moments na maituturing treasured na sa mga oras na ito..musta na kaya sila?</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">di na kc kami nagkikita-kita..how sad..T-T</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">“i always say to some sad people..you’re broken..”</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">ito naman ang sinabi ni mam nung sa pagkanta namin ay mga nakasimangut kami..ang mga problema daw kasi, oo mahirap pero as lng as kaya mong hindi ipakita sa mukha mo habang sinasabi mo ang message ng isang kanta, magiging maayos pa din ang [erformance mo..at kapag nabigo ka, magiging malungkot din ang makatatanggap ng mensahe ng awit, magiging malungkot din ang mismong mensahe ng awit..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">kaya, always smile..^-^</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">“singing is not enough, you must feel the song..and the moment you are feeling it, the next thing that you must do is to give it, share it to the listeners, to the audience..that’s the real singing..^-^”</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">ito ang sinabi ni mam noong pakanta na kami o malapit na kaming kumanta..tama, iyon nga ang tunay na pagkanta..napakasarap lalo ng feeling kapag, kumakanta kang may katuturan, may dahilan at may bungang pupuntahan..bungang ang lahat ay magiging maligaya dahil sa tunay na kahulugan..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">at iyon nga..nagdaan ang napakahabang preparasyon..maraming tumulong, maraming gumawa para magwork ang cantata na iyon..mga gurong walang sawang nakigulo para magmakeup sa mga bata, ang dalawa naming pianists, mga gumawa ng stage at mga props, mga tigahawak ng microphones, ang sound director, ung mga members ng faculty, mga theatre arts at choirs ng tatlong school, si mam edith..isama na din natin ang mga langgam na nakit doon, tubig, halaman, ang skwelahan, ang hangin, ang bato, ang bulaklak at kung anu-ano pang mga bagay doon..at siyempre, hindi ito maituturing na isang tagumpay kung hindi natin isasama ang mga taong nanuod ng cantata na iyon..iba ang feeling noong ikalawa at huling araw ng performance dahil umulan noon, blessings ika nga..pero di pa din kami tumigil..ang lahat ay natuwa..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">ang lahat ay nalungkot..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">“this is the real meaning of the cantata..to spread the real meaning of christmas..isa kayu sa mga swerte na maktutulong para maipahayag un…yes, there is sacrifice, of course..but, natapos na ang ilang months, matatapos na, malapit na ang salvation..^-^</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">at iyon nga, nagtagumpay ang cantata..nagtagumpay kami..nagtagumpay ang lahat..naging masaya ang lhat..pagkatapos noon ay unti-unti ng nababakasa sa bawat mukha ang kalungkutan..ang kalungkutan na baka pagkatapos noon ay wala na ..wala ng pagkikitang mangyayari..sa mga lower years ay may “i shall return” pa sila ng bonggang-bonga pero kami, na gagraduata na, wla na..siguro, sana mapanuod na lang namin iyon..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">bago dumating ang cantata na iyon ay marami na kaming nakantahan pero, hmmm..ibang -iba ito..ibang-iba sa lahat..</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">isang pamamaalam..pero ito ang huling mga salita na tumatak sa akin ng huling araw ng pagkikita:</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">“no goodbyes..just see you laters”</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">at kung di pa ko kuntento ay papalitan qu pa ung later na iyon ng word na “soon”</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">mas nagkaroon ng ibig sabihin ang kaibigan para sa kin..mas naging mahalaga sila, at mas lumalim pa ang halaga nila..sana dumating ang panahon na magkita-kita pa kami</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>I&#8217;m guessing at least 50% of you attended a &#8220;Harvest Party&#8221; or &#8220;Trunk-n-Treat&#8221; at your church last month, and at least 25% more attend a church that held one.</p>
<p>Which is all fine, as far as it goes, although I take issue with two of the most commonly given reasons for these sugar-fests: that they provide a safer alternative to traditional trick or treating, and that they are a powerful outreach activity to the community.</p>
<p>Although some local news stations still dust off the razor-blades-in-the-apples story each October, Snopes.com <a href="http://www.snopes.com/horrors/poison/halloween.asp" target="_blank">disproved</a> every instance of candy tampering ever reported in conjunction with Halloween. It&#8217;s just a myth&#8212;as is, most likely, the adult who actually gave apples.</p>
<p>These events also fail to reach our communities. Lots of people may show up and the church might receive some good press. A few families may even return for a weekend worship service because of the experience they have on your campus&#8212;although I&#8217;d bet a Snickers bar your church doesn&#8217;t <em>know </em>if that&#8217;s happening. Meanwhile, we spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars recruiting volunteers, organizing games, and haranguing church members for candy donations.</p>
<p>Or there&#8217;s Christmas. I don&#8217;t have the Snopes link to prove it, but do you know anyone who became a Christian because of a Christmas cantata? Usually the audience for such things is comprised of the family and friends of those in the choir, most of whom are already believers. (This is doubly true for children&#8217;s programs.) Again, the investment of time and energy  is out of all proportion to the spiritual ROI.</p>
<p>If we really want to show love to our neighbors at Halloween, we could follow the example of my own parents, who make a big pot of apple cider, park themselves in lawn chairs at the bottom of their driveway, and give cups of the hot drink to every tired, cold parent who comes along with his tiny princess/pirate/Disney character. They talk to their neighbors, serve them in a small way, extend friendship, and ooh and aah over little people in costumes. (They give candy, too, the good stuff&#8212;kids aren&#8217;t excited about cider.)</p>
<p>Or, like <a href="http://www.journeychristian.org" target="_blank">Journey Christian Church</a>, we could organize a &#8220;Light Night&#8221; and challenge members to creatively transform their homes into places of light and welcome on this traditionally dark evening. My <a href="http://mylordandmyblog.christianstandard.biz/2009/10/30/thoughts-on-halloween-darkness-light-and-the-christian/" target="_blank">fellow blogger Arron</a>, who serves as senior minister at Journey, says the church offered a variety of ways for people to participate (set up games or bounce houses, make popcorn or cotton candy, host costume contests, and&#8211;yes!&#8211;give out hot cider). Members were encouraged to distribute info about Journey&#8217;s programs for kids and copies of the Gospel of John along with the candy.</p>
<p>At Christmas, what if we asked church members to spend Wednesday night having dinner with a non-Christian neighbor instead of attending choir practice with lots of already-Christians? What if, instead of lining the sanctuary with video cameras to capture Junior&#8217;s debut as wiseman #3, we opened our homes for Advent parties for all our kid&#8217;s friends?</p>
<p>I&#8217;m really not lecturing&#8212;there&#8217;s more I can do in this area, too. But let&#8217;s be honest&#8212;we do Fall Fests and Christmas pageants because these things make <em>us</em> feel good. If we really wanted to serve and reach non-Christians, we&#8217;d be doing something else.</p>

<p>I thought I’d write a little bit about the latest Julian musical news…</p>
<p>The first thing to say I can proudly announce the release of my cantata ‘Out of the Darkness’ on CD. It’s officially released on November 8th, but there is a special pre-release offer on at the moment! It’s very easy to buy online through our web site <a href="http://www.outofthedarknessproject.org">www.outofthedarknessproject.org</a>.</p>
<p>We also have three upcoming concerts of the piece in the U.K.:</p>
<ul>
<li>Friday, November 20th, St Georges’ Church, Kemptown, Brighton</li>
<li>Saturday, November 28th, St Mary’s Church, High Street, Totnes</li>
<li>Wednesday December 16th St James’s Church, Piccadilly, London.</li>
</ul>
<p>All performances start at 7.30 pm.</p>

<p>In March 2010, we have been invited to Germany to do three concerts (18th, 19th, 20th) in and around Weimar. The Weimar concert (18th) coincides with a Gerturd Kolmar conference taking place there. Gertrud Kolmar was the remarkable poet who wrote the poem ‘Aus dem Dunkel’ (Out of the Darkness) from which I took the text for my piece. She perished in Auschwitz in 1943. There is an excellent essay about Kolmar on our web site if you’d like to know more about her.</p>
<p>Also in the spring, we have three U.K. concerts planned. These are planned for:</p>
<ul>
<li>March 14th &#8211; Keswick, Cumbria (as part of the Ways With Words literary festival)</li>
<li>March 26th &#8211;  Bath</li>
<li>April 9th &#8211; Oxford</li>
</ul>

<p>We now have a real and wonderful committee on board &#8211; we&#8217;re calling ourselves Musical Projects – and we include, apart from myself, promoter Gabi Faja of Biaerbeck and Holmes, money man extraordinaire Paul Hussell, record guy John Cronin (Music and Media consulting), and administrator Grace Billings. What a God send they are, too! I feel very blessed! We have very ambitious plans for lots of OOTD performances in the UK and mainland Europe.</p>
<p>My new piece &#8211; called &#8216;John Mann&#8217; &#8211; will be premiered in London on September 16th, 2010 at the fabulous <a href="http://www.cadoganhall.com/" target="_blank">Cadogon Hall</a> in London. John Mann will feature Schoolhouse 6 Ensemble (our very own chamber choir made up of top flight young London professional singers &#8211; also featured on OOTD), a three piece band featuring &#8211; all being well: Adrian Acolatse (Bass – a remarkable player and just won the Mercury Music award with his band ‘Speech Debelle’), Pete Bernard (Guitar &#8211; solo performer and band member with Ronnie Size), Martin Ditcham (percussion – played with everyone from Sade to Jagger to Dianna Ross), and a real star solo tenor &#8211; to be announced shortly!</p>

<p>La obra está basada en un cuento de origen persa. La historia narra cómo intenta un Peri, una criatura de la mitolgía persa e islámica, volver al paraíso una vez que ha sido expulsado de éste.</p>
<p>Aprovechando que el modélico canal en <strong>Youtube</strong> de la <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/BerlinPhil"><strong>Berliner Philharmoniker</strong></a> ha puesto un fragmento del concierto que tuvo lugar el pasado Febrero os dejo con <strong>O heil&#8217;ge Tränen inn&#8217;ger Reue</strong>. En el fragmento intervienen <strong>Kate Royal</strong>, <strong>Bernarda Fink</strong>, <strong>Andrew Staples</strong>, <strong>Christian Gerhaher</strong>, el <strong>Rundfunkchor Berlin</strong> y la  <strong>Berliner Philharmoniker</strong> bajo la dirección de Sir <strong>Simon Rattle</strong>.</p>

Cantata 167 (1723) &#8211; a tenor aria plus a duet for soprano and alto, with a chorale finale. Cantata 7, (1724), with a fantastic opening chorus and a 12 <em>movimento</em> marvellous Cantata BWV 30 (1738) a parody of from a previous <em>secular</em> cantata <em>Angenehmes Wiederau</em>.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:&#34;" lang="EN-GB">In truth this latter (named BWV 30a) was a laudatory cantata composed to celebrate J. C. Hennicke&#8217;s appointment as high official of Wiederau. Thus Bach&#8217;s BWV 30 has been re-written &#8211; a practice quite diffused and accepted in those years &#8211; in order to fit as cantata for June 24th feast of St. John. Yet, in spite of its derived origin (numerous Bach&#8217;s parodies are nevertheless worthy e.g. <em>Weihnachtsoratorium</em> BWV 248 or the <em><span style="font-weight:normal;">h-Moll-Messe</span></em><em> </em> BWV 232), this cantata retains all its fascination and suavity.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:&#34;" lang="EN-GB">Basically this masterpiece, based on the texts of Christian Friedrich Henrici (Picander), Johann Olearius and on Salm 120.5, is divided into two parts and 12 movements with a joyous opening chorus followed by amazing arias and recitatives the altogether effect is a beautiful expressions of worship.</p>

<p>In Britten’s <em>Rejoice in the Lamb</em>, the words “silly fellow” are set to a transposition of the famous DSCH motif that Shostakovich used extensively.</p>
<p>Was this deliberately making fun of Shostakovich? I am not sure that Shostakovich had made much use of DSCH prior to 1943, so it may be coincidence, but it seems so pointed from the perspective of 2009. Did, then, Benjamin Britten discover and initiate the use of the <a href="http://www.dschjournal.com/dschmean.htm">DSCH motto </a>in 1943?</p>
<p>How was <em>Rejoice in the Lamb </em>received at the time? I would imagine that the church choir in Northampton would have been depleted of younger men as a result of the war, and that the idiom of the piece may have been difficult to grasp.</p>
<p>I think it’s a most beautiful, haunting piece, spine-tingling. The words are a large part of this, and I’ve been thrilled by them ever since I first sang them. I have come across people who are bewildered by them, though – the same people, I’m sure, are puzzled by the Rimbaud poems Britten used in <em>Les Illuminations</em>. Poetry doesn’t have to have an exact meaning that one can analyse, any more than music does.</p>
<p>In 1944 Peter Pears wrote to Britten about <em>Rejoice in the Lamb</em>, “That is still your best yet, you know.” An interesting comment, considering that when the letter was written Pears had already given the premieres of the Michelangelo Sonnets and the Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings.</p>
<p>Britten himself seems to have been very pleased with the first performance in Northampton, and refers in a letter to Walter Hussey (who commissioned the piece) to the “very efficient and charming choir and soloists”, who apparently learnt the piece “very thoroughly” at short notice. He also says of the organist that he had “seldom heard such rhythmic playing from an organist”. There was also a very complimentary review in <em>The Times</em>, saying that “the spirit of the curious, vivid poem has been caught”, and calling it “a work not to be placed in any of the usual categories, but certainly beautiful”.</p>
<p>I don’t think it’s known what the choir thought about it.</p>

<p><em>ARS AMATORIA (The Art of Love) adalah Cantata no. 1 karya Ananda Sukarlan yang didasari oleh puisi-puisi sastrawan besar Indonesia, Sapardi Djoko Damono.</em></p>
<p><em>Mahakarya sepanjang40 menit ini akan ditata secara artistik oleh koreografer Chendra Panatan dan didukung oleh Daniel Christianto sebagai penyanyi bariton solo serta Linda Sitinjak sebagai penyanyi sopran solo. Selain itu, akan tampil juga paduan suara Cavallero Male Singers, dan paduan suara anak Jakarta Children &#38; Youth Chorus. Tidak hanya olah vokal, eksplorasi instrumen pun menjadi bagian penting dari repertori utama ini. Hadir menampilkan kuartet gesek, seruling, dan english horn adalah Jakarta Conservatory Ensemble, dan tentu saja Ananda Sukarlan sebagai pianis.</em></p>
<p><em>ARS AMATORIA terdiri dari 11 bagian dan menggunakan 8 puisi karya pujangga besar Indonesia, Sapardi Djoko Damono, antara lain Selamat Pagi, Indonesia, Dalam Doaku dan Aku Ingin. Proses kreatif ARS AMATORIA bukanlah semata-mata membuat melodi dari kata-kata yang indah, melainkan jauh lebih mendalam dan bermakna sebagai sebuah mahakarya musik sastra Indonesia. Anandasendiri menganggap bahwa Sapardi adalah seorang pelukis besar, &#8220;… bukan dengan cat dan kanvas, melainkan dengan kata.&#8221;Itulah yang merupakan titik tolak Ananda untuk mencipta karya besar ini;ia melukis dengan melodi dan harmoni, dan warna-warna cat yang dipakainya adalah kata-kata Sapardi. Penggunaan teknik komposisi leitmotif menjadikan mahakarya ini sebagai pelopor dalam sejarah musik sastra Indonesia.</em></p>

<p>Ananda Sukarlan menggelar cantata pertamanya kembali tahun ini setelah pagelaran yang pertama melalui Jakarta New Year&#8217;s Concert 1 januari 2008.</p>
<p>Konser ini terdiri dari dua babak dengan Cantata Ars Amatoria digelar pada  babak kedua. Pada babak pertama, berbeda dengan New Year&#8217;s Concert, dibuka dengan dua karyanya untuk Film &#8220;Romeo Juliet&#8221; kemudian ada Rapsodia Nusantara serta satu karya yang dibawakan oleh Martin Tupanno.</p>
<p>Karya apa saja yang ditampilkan pada babak pertama ini mungkin ingatanku kurang lengkap karena pada konser kali ini tidak memakai BUKU PROGRAM dengan alasan kecintaan terhadap bumi sehingga berharap konser ini tidak memberi kontribusi bagi beban bumi. GO GREEN. Inovatif!</p>

<p>Entah mengapa, makin lama aku makin suka &#8220;Aku Ingin&#8221; dan &#8220;Yang Paling Menakjubkan&#8221;. Syair dan musiknya indah apalagi flute di intro &#8220;Yang Paling Menakjubkan&#8221;</p>
<p>Juga aku lebih suka ekspresi mimik Pepi di New Year&#8217;s Concert dibanding kalemnya Daniel di konser akhir Mei ini. Tapi soal suara?&#8230;.wuih dua-duanya siip.</p>

Bagi gereja <em><strong><a href="http://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gereja_Lutheran" target="_blank">Lutheran</a></strong></em>, <em><strong><a href="http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chorale" target="_blank">chorale</a></strong></em> merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dalam kebaktian. Luther sendiri menciptakan banyak melodi chorale. <em><strong>Johann Sebastian Bach</strong></em> banyak menggunakan chorale sebagai dasar dari musik organ yang ia ciptakan. Koor sering menyanyikan motet, yang bagian-bagiannya kemudian menjadi sangat panjang, dan berubah menjadi <em><strong><a href="http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cantata" target="_blank">cantata</a></strong></em>. Liriknya tidak berasal dari liturgy tetapi dari puisi atau Alkitab. Bach menulis kurang lebih 200 cantata untuk gereja. Ia juga menulis dua<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passions" target="_blank"> </a><em><strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passions" target="_blank">passions</a> </strong></em>yang bercerita tentang Yesus yang menderita di kayu salib. Para komposer lain yang memberikan kontribusi pada music gereja Protestan di Eropa adalah <em><strong>Heinrich Schutz</strong></em>, <em><strong>J.P. Sweenlinck</strong></em>, <em><strong>Dietrich Buxtehude</strong></em>, <em><strong>Johann Pachelbel</strong></em>, dan <em><strong>Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy</strong></em>.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&#34;" lang="EN-GB">Mercedes Sosa,  “<em>la</em> <em>cantora popular</em>&#8221; symbol of the struggle against dictatorship and civil rights in Argentina, died today at age 74. Unquestionably the greatest Latin American folk music singer was hospitalised last month In Buenos Aires as a result of renal dysfunction. Here above she sings one of my favourite South American ballads.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&#34;" lang="EN-GB">In 60-year career, she performed all over the world, shared the stage with the most famous artists and poets such as Victor Jara, Pablo Neruda, Ignacio Villa and Atahualpa Yupanqui, she leaves an incomparable artistic heritage.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&#34;" lang="EN-GB">Born to underprivileged parents in San Miguel de Tucumán on July 9, 1935, Haydar Mercedes Sosa started her career at a very young age, impressing her public with passionate traditional popular songs. Eventually achieving her great success in the Sixties, in 1967 she performed in a extensive tour throughout the United States, Russia and Europe.</p>
<p><strong><em><!--more Continue reading this article...--></em></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&#34;" lang="EN-GB">In 1971 she publishes &#8220;<em>La voz de Mercedes Sosa</em>&#8221; and &#8220;<em>Homenaje a Violeta Parra</em>&#8221; into which she marvellously sang the greatest hits of the famous Chilean singer, including the celebrated &#8220;<em>Gracias a la vida&#8221;</em>. In 1972, regardless the military oppression she released &#8220;<em>Hasta la victoria</em>&#8220;, a collection of  clearly social and political impact plus the famous &#8220;<em>Cantata Sudamericana</em>&#8221; written by Ariel Ramirez (music) and Felix Luna (lyrics).</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&#34;" lang="EN-GB">Mercedes Sosa was also considered as an icon of resistance to the tyranny in South America and after the military <em>golpe</em> (1976) she became a prey of military censorship. She was banned from making records and arrested while performing a concert in La Plata.  In 1979 she fled to Paris and afterwards settled in Madrid (1977). During that period she wrote many songs dedicated to her country, hoping for harmony and democracy. &#8220;<em>Todo Cambia</em>&#8220;, “<em>Luna Tucumana</em>” and &#8220;<em>Solo Le Pido a Dios</em>&#8221; and many more soon became the anthem of the new generation of freedom lovers.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&#34;" lang="EN-GB">Finally back home in Argentina (1982) she assisted to the reinstatement of democracy and celebrated it with a record/documentary named &#8220;<em>Como</em><em> un pájaro libre</em>&#8221; and since then she never stopped singing, performing, enriching her discography.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&#34;" lang="EN-GB">Her latest work only recently released, &#8220;<em>Cantora &#8211; Un viaje intimo</em>&#8221; is a double CD  where Mercedes Sosa duets with South America&#8217;s leading artists, such as Julieta Venegas, Shakira, Lila Downs, Caetano Veloso, Marcela Morel, Gustavo Cerati, Jorge Drexler, Gustavo Santaolalla and many more.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&#34;" lang="EN-GB">The funeral service to pay homage to this greatest artist will be staged in the &#8220;<em>Hall of Lost Footsteps</em>&#8221; by the Argentine Congress.</p>

<p><span style="font-weight:bold;color:#000000;">Kantate: BWV 144 – Nimm, was dein ist, und gehe hin</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="color:#000000;">(Kantate </span><span style="color:#000000;">4. Sonntag nach Epiphanias &#8211; Septuagesimae)</span></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="color:#000000;">Die Kantate entstammt dem ersten Leipziger Amtsjahr Bach&#8217;s und erlebte am 6. Februar 1724 ihre erste Aufführung. Ihre Echtheit ist zuweilen angezweifelt worden, &#8211; jedoch zu Unrecht; denn das originale Quellenmaterial erweist Bach&#8217;s Autorenschaft eindeutig. Bach seine Komposition verzichtet weitgehend auf das konzertante Element. Der Eingangssatz ist eine Motettenfuge mit colla parte geführten Instrumenten &#8211; 2 Oboen und Streicher &#8211; und teilweise selbständigem Continuo.*) </span></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="color:#000000;">Wie aus dem Nichts &#8211; ohne das geringste instrumentale Vorspiel &#8211; schleudern die Tenorstimmen das Motto: <strong>&#8220;Nimm was dein ist, und gehe hin&#8221; </strong>- hervor bevor der Beginn einer fugierten Motette, in der zwei Oboen und Streicher über einen teilweisen unabhängigen Basso continuo die Gesangslinien verdoppeln. Dann, eine traurige und eine zarte Alt-Arie von <strong>Wilke te Brummelstroete</strong>. Hervorragend interpretiert sie diesen immer wieder in der Kantate zu hören Text: &#8220;Nimm, was dein ist&#8230;.&#8221;</span></span></p>
<p style="font:13px Arial;margin:0;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif;line-height:19px;"><strong>Miah Persson </strong>(Sopran) interpretiert die Gefühle sehr schön. Sie  nutzt geschickt die Nuancen aus &#8211; die betörend klingende Oboe im Dialog mit der Stimme verleiht der Arie einen zurückhaltenden und doch elegischen Glanz. Ebenfalls Glanzlichter setzt der Chor in Satz 3 und sechs und verleiht dieser Kantateneinspielung das Prädikat: wunderbar&#8230;.!!</span></p>

<p><strong>Kantate: BWV 84 – Ich bin vergnügt mit meinem Glücke</strong></p>
<p>Bach hat den Text höchstwahrscheinlich zum 9. Februar 1727 komponiert. Die Bestimmung der Bach&#8217;schen Komposition für eine einzige Solostimme, zu der nur im Schlusschoral der Chor hinzutritt, hat ihr die bei Bach sonst seltene Bezeichnung &#8220;Cantata&#8221; eingebracht. Man hat aus dieser Solobesetzung sowie aus der bereits erwähnten Umdichtung darauf schließen wollen, dass es sich bei diesem Werk nur um eine geistliche Hausmusik Bach&#8217;s, etwa für Anna Magdalena Bach, handele &#8211; gewiss zu Unrecht, wie schon die Bestimmung für den Sonntag Septuagesimae erkennen lässt.</p>
<p>Der aktuell zu vertonende Text, der auf Bachs Schreibtisch lag, basiert ebenfalls auf dem Gleichnis vom Weinberg, auch wenn diesmal nicht von den missgestimmten Arbeitern die Rede ist, sondern von &#8220;Meinem Glücke, das mir der liebe Gott beschert&#8221;. Bei der Vertonung hat Bach die geringen aufgewendeten Mittel &#8211; zum Solosopran treten als Instrumente eine Oboe, Streicher und Continuo &#8211; mit viel Sinn für die sich bietenden Abwechslungsmöglichkeiten eingesetzt. Die Eingangsarie verlangt das volle Instrumentarium. *)</p>

<p style="font:13px Arial;margin:0;">Das BWV 84 <span style="font-family:Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif;line-height:19px;">beginnt in einer anderen Stimmung, auch wenn im dramatischen Kontex sich eine gleiche Richtung abzeichnet wie in der vorhergehende Kantate. Der Dialog zwischen dem Sopran und Oboe, mit beseelt aufspielenden Streichern begleitet, nimmt hier einen anderen und weniger unterwürfigen Ton an. Das ist ein Werk für Solo-Sopran, und <strong>Miah Persson</strong> gelingt es, eine große emotionale Bandbreite zu nutzen, das Highlight ist die Arie &#8220;Ich esse mit Freuden mein weniges Brot&#8221;. Dann, nach diesen Wirren &#8211; bietet der letzte A-cappella-Choral, diesbezüglich zur Linderung einen sehr geglückten Moment der Ruhe, atemberaubend, wie der Chor das gesanglich meistert.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#000000;"><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>Kantate: BWV 92 – Ich hab in Gottes Herz und Sinn</strong></span></span></p>
<p>Diese neunsätzige Choralkantate, die Bach zum 28. Januar 1725 komponiert hat, liegt Paul Gerhards 12-strophiges Lied (1647) zugrunde. Die ausgedehnte Dichtung mag die Ursache gewesen sein, dass auch die Kantate ungewöhnlich lang geworden ist. Zu Beginn des großangelegten Eingangssatzes konzertieren zwei Oboi d&#8217;amore und Streicher im Wechsel. Ihre Thematik ist unabhängig von der Choralweise, die nach Beendigung des Einleitungsritonells vom Sopran zeilenweise in langen Notenwerten vorgetragen wird (Melodie: &#8220;Was mein Gott will, das gscheh allzeit). Die übrigen Singstimmen haben keinen Anteil an der Choralthematik, sondern verbinden sich mit den Streichern zu einem thematisch einheitlichen Imitationsgefüge. *)</p>
<p>Die einleitende Choralfantasie ist sorgfältig ausgearbeitet und weist in den drei einander imitierenden tiefen Stimmen heftige Spannungen auf. Instrumental und stimmlich wird dieser Satz in diesem Sinne zu einem wahren Kleinod vorgetragen, genial, wie Gardiner diese Spannungen erzeugt und sie umsetzen lässt und artet in eine perfekte Bach-Interpretation der Einmaligkeit aus.</p>
<p>Der Bass <strong>Jonathan Brown</strong> überzeugt in der musikalischen Gestalt an Festigkeit und Standhaftigkeit in seinem Rezitativ: &#8220;Es kann mir fehlen nimmermehr&#8221;. Besonders wirksam sind die Momente, wenn eine körperliche und geistige Auseinandersetzung  beschrieben wird, wie wenn die Linien &#8220;Mich die Wellen schon ergreifen / und ihre Wut mit mir zum Abgrund eilt &#8221; Diese Verse sind eine Anspielung auf die biblische Geschichte von Jona und dem Wal, dessen Echos sind auch als ein Grollen im Continuo dargestellt&#8221;. Auch wenn Brown&#8217;s Stimme in den tiefen Lagen für diesen Abschnitt die Subtanz fehlt, sind seine Linien klar und durch intensive Vitalität motiviert gezogen.</p>
<p>Die Tenor-Arie, die durch einen feurigen <strong>James Oxley</strong> interpretiert wird, ist eine meisterhafte Tirade für die ersten Geigen. Die Atmosphäre, die durch den Text und den instrumentalen Linie erstellt wird, ist eine überzeugende Darstellung  - wie die Kraft des starken Armes Gottes seine Einzigartigkeit offenbart und sich als ein unbesiegbares Hindernis gegen den Satan darstellt.</p>
<p>Die Sopran-Arie (Miah Persson) &#8211; mit dem &#8220;<strong>Meinem Hirten bleib ich treu&#8221;</strong> ist ein Glanzpunkt an Sangeskunst und in der Instrumentierung. Sie singt so anschaulich und überzeugend von der Treue und wird durch das bejahende Spiel der Oboe und Bc entsprechend beseelend unterstützt. Das berührt und trifft den Hörer im tiefsten seines Inneren und mag ihn vollends überzeugen: &#8220;Meinem Hirten bleib ich treu&#8221;.</p>

<p style="font:13px Arial;margin:0;">I<em>m Brennpunkt aller drei Kantaten steht die überwältigende Macht des Wortes, das (als geistliches Manna vom Himmel) zum Glauben führt, das Thema des Tagesevangeliums (Lukas 8, 4–15), das in den ersten beiden Werken am Beispiel des Gleichnisses vom Sämann behandelt wird. Selbst an seinen eigenen Maßstäben gemessen widmet sich Bach dieser Herausforderung mit ungewöhnlicher Intensität und Findigkeit. Jede dieser Kantaten zeichnet sich aus durch eine lebendige Bildersprache, fesselnde Dramatik und eine Musik von einer Frische und Kraft, die im Gedächtnis haften bleibt.</em></p>

<p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:#000000;">K<strong>antate: BWV 18 – Gleichwie der Regen und Schnee vom Himmel fällt</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:#000000;">Die Entstehung dieser Kantate fällt in Bach&#8217;s Weimarer Jahre und ist spätestens zum 24. Februar 1715 anzusetzen, &#8211; mit größter Wahrscheinlichkeit aber schon ein oder zwei Jahre vorher. Das Bach zwei Fassungen von dieser Komposition überliefert hat liegt in der unterschiedlichen Musizierpraxis in Weimar und Leipzig. Die Weimarer Fassung verlangt an Instrumenten zum Continuo lediglich 4 Violen, Aufführungstonart war g-Moll, jedoch in der gegenüber dem Kammerton um 1 bis 1 1/2 Ton höheren Chortonstimmung. Wenn Bach das Werk daher in Leipzig in a-Moll aufführte, so entsprach das annähernd der Weimarer Tonhöhe. Neu hinzugefügt wurden in der Leipziger Fassung2 Blockflöten. Dies ist die Fassung, in der sich das Werk in der heutigen Musizierpraxis eingebürgert hat. *)</span></p>

<p style="font:13px Arial;margin:0;"><em>um zwei Blockflöten, zur Verdopplung der beiden hohen Bratschenstimmen, dem sie einen Nimbus geben, der in gewisser Weise dem 4’-Register einer Pfeifenorgel entspricht. Das war die Version, die wir übernommen und vom Weimarer Chorton in g-moll nach a-moll transponiert haben (die Bratschen sind auf A=465 Hz gestimmt, spielen jedoch nach den ursprünglichen, in g-moll notierten Parts).</em></p>

<p style="font:13px Arial;margin:0;">Die<span style="font-family:Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif;line-height:19px;"> Kantate beginnt mit einer betörenden einleitenden Instrumental-Sinfonia. <strong>The</strong> <strong>English Baroque Soloists</strong> machen aus dieser Einleitung eine nuancierte und leidenschaftliche thematische Einführung in das Kantaten-Werk. Der Satz drei als Rezitativ und Litanei für Tenor, Bass und Chor ist das Herzstück in diesem Werk. James Gilchrist, (Tenor); Stephan Loges, (Bass); der Monteverdi Choir  und das Barockorchester gelingt eine eindrückliche dramatische Litanei -Wiedergabe. Fantastisch, wie hier Gardiner Hand anlegt und seine Protagonisten in der Dramatik und Nuancierung fordert, das ist in sich ein spektakuläre Aufführung geworden die den Hörer begeistert.</span></p>
<p style="font:13px Arial;margin:0;"><span style="font-family:Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif;line-height:19px;">Die Sopran-Arie: &#8220;Mein Seelenschatz ist Gottes Wort &#8221; erklingt durch <strong>Gillian </strong><strong>Keith&#8217;s</strong> mal fröhlich dann zart und als feuriges Bild entsprechend als ein Dankgesang an Gott. Beseelend dazu agiert das stimmlich vorzügliche Orchester.</span></p>

<p style="text-align:left;">
<p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:#000000;"><strong>Kantate: BWV 181 – Leichtgesinnte Flattergeister</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:#000000;">Ihre erste Aufführung erlebte die Kantate am 13. Februar 1724. Jedoch scheinen damals noch keine Holzbläser mitgewirkt zu haben; denn die heute vorliegenden Stimmen für je eine Querflöte und Oboe stammen erst von einer wesentlich späteren, nicht sicher datierbaren Wiederaufführung. *)</span></p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:#000000;">Mit den &#8220;leichtgesinnten Flattergeistern&#8221; sind jene oberflächlichen, wankelmütigen Menschen gemeint. Mann kann nur staunen, wie anschaulich Bach die einzelnen Details des Gleichnisses ausmalt eine zerklüftete Melodieline, von Trillern durchsetzt, eine locker geführte Staccato-Artikulation im tempo vivace und eine Instrumentierung in den oberen Stimmen mit Flöte, Oboe und Violine besetzt.</span></p>
<p>Gardiner gelingt im Kontrapunkt ein perfektes Spannungsfeld aufzubauen. Der erste beginnt mit einer eindrucksvollen Bass-Arie: <strong>Stephan Loges -</strong> meisterhaft nutzt er die Triller und Verzierungen, mit denen Bach porträtiert &#8211; die  &#8221;Leichtgesinnten Flattergeister&#8221;. <strong>Angharad Gruffydd Jones,</strong> Sopran; ist im Rezitativ ein zögerliches Singen spürbar: ihr weiches Timbre macht ihre Interpretation nicht ganz überzeugend. Der abschließende Choral ist ein wahrer Festschmaus, mit den triumphierenden Trompeten erzielt das gesamte Ensemble ein erhebendes Finale.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">K<strong>antate: BWV 126 – Erhalt uns, Herr, bei deinem Wort</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:#000000;">Diese Choralkantate hat J.S. Bach zum 4. Februar 1725 komponiert. Bach hat dem herkömmlichen Instrumentarium von 2 Oboen, Streichern und Continuo im Eingangschor noch eine D-Trompete hinzugefügt , der die nicht ganz leichte Aufgabe zufiel, mit ihrem durch die natürliche Obertonreihe beschränkten Tonumfang in einem a-Moll-Satz eine führenden Rolle zu spielen. Offenbar stand Bach hierfür ein hervorragender Trompeter zur Verfügung. *)</span></p>
<p>In seiner Form  ist der Eingangssatz ein Triumph für die  Trompete &#8211; überragend spielt <strong>Gabriele Cassone</strong> der schon in den Neujahrskantaten von 2000 in der Gethsemanekirche, Berlin so überzeugend aufgetreten ist.</p>

<p>Hier bewundere ich die Auswahl von Gardiner &#8211; nur exzellente  Spitzen-Trompeter zu verpflichten, bisher haben sie mich in den SDG-Einspielungen immer überzeugen können und so ist es im BWV 126 wiederum gelungen, dass der Hörer mit einem großartigen Trompeter konfrontiert wird, dazu der klasse auftrumpfende Monteverdi Choir ergibt das berühmte Gänsehauterlebnis.</p>

<p>Diese Kantate berauscht mich mit einem Lieblings-Tenor: (James Gilchrist) in Satz 2, 3 und fünf. Das ist Überzeugungsgesang in Wort und Stimme das er so überzeugend darbietet und in einer vollendeten Kunstform so einprägsam dem Hörer vermitteln imstande ist. Leider ist die Oboen-Begleitung etwas Piepsig zu hören aber schmälert nicht den hervorragenden Gesamteindruck.</p>
<p><strong>James Gilchrist, </strong>(Tenor);  und <strong>Robert Tyson</strong>, (Alto); interpretieren virtuos das Rezitativ in Satz 3; &#8220;<strong>Der Menschen Gunst und Macht wird wenig nützen&#8221;. </strong>Ein Perlengesang vollster Reinheit und Klasse&#8230;. ein Traumduo!</p>

<p>In Satz vier, Bass-Arie: &#8220;Stürze zu Boden, schwülstige Stolze&#8221; ist <strong>Stephan Loges</strong> ein prächtiger Part gelungen, stimmlich Ausdrucksstark interpretiert er virtuos das &#8220;schwülstige Stolze&#8221;.</p>
<p>Der Monteverdi Chor ist im Stande, den Schlusschoral mit einer Wärme und Stille &#8211; inhaltlich seiner Bedeutung: auf Hoffnung und  Frieden in einer wunderbaren Schönkeit und Gerechtigkeit &#8211; gesanglich einzuhüllen &#8211;  das ist es, was ein Weltklasse-Chor so auszeichnet &#8211; sie sind immer wieder in der Lage, das wörtliche Geschehen auch stimmlich zu artikulieren und umzusetzen, so dass es ein perfekter Kunstgenuss wird.</p>
<p>Aus Gardiner-Reisetagebuch seine Schlussanmerkung zum BWV 126:</p>
<p style="font:13px Arial;margin:0;"><em>Nichts ist oberflächlich an Bachs Vertonung, an der eindringlichen Bitte um ‚Fried und gut Regiment’ und der zarten Hoffnung auf ‚ein geruh’g und stilles Leben’. Und die denkwürdigste Phrase wird für das drei Takte umfassende ‚Amen’ aufgespart, eine wunderbare Verschmelzung polyphonen Tudorstils mit Bach’schem Kontrapunkt, die unter dem hölzernen Tonnengewölbe des Southwell Minster überirdische Schönheit erlangte.</em></p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Mein Schluss-Fazit zu diesen Einspielungen:</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Es sind wieder herrliche Kantaten-Einspielungen geworden, die den Vergleich mit den bereits veröffentlichten SDG-CD&#8217;s nicht scheuen brauchen. Zu bewundern ist immer wieder die Handschrift von Sir Gardiner, seine Interpretationen der Bachwerke gelingen ihm durchwegs auf allerhöchstem Niveau und dazu sein Weltklasse-Chor und das fantastische Barockorchester ergeben immer wieder ein Spitzenergebnis der Sonderklasse.</p>

<p>No último sábado, foi apresentada na Igreja Martin Luther pelo Mini Coral, a cantata Imensa Graça. O coral entitulado Mini Coral pela sua formação reduzida, já tem mais de 30 anos de estrada, e eventualmente prepara programas especiais para apresentar na comunidade e onde for convidado. Dessa vez com um programa mais abrangente, a cantata teve a participação do grupo de pantomima, grupo de jovens, banda e das crianças do culto infantil.</p>
<p>Foi realmente uma produção super especial: cenário, iluminação e instrumentação ao vivo abrilhantaram as músicas apresentadas sem intervalo e agradaram o público presente que encheu o salão mesmo com a gripe A rondando&#8230;</p>
<p>Sob a regência de Mário Klemann, que também escreveu os arranjos instrumentais e fez a seleção de repertório, a cantata Imensa Graça foi uma grande benção. Valeu o esforço e a dedicação do pessoal envolvido em toda a preparação. E talvez ela seja reapresentada em alguma outra igreja&#8230; convites já surgiram!</p>
<p>Minha participação desta vez foi no violino e na harmônica (blues com direito a solo! as aulas estão fazendo efeito). O grupo instrumental ainda contou com Simone (violino), Otávio (violão), Diogo (baixo), Jonatas (guitarra), André (trombone de vara), Taline (flautas e percussão), Fábio (percussão) e Mário (teclado). Um baita time!</p>

<p>Como en &#8220;<strong>El silencio antes de Bach</strong>&#8221; - la película de <strong>Pere Portabella -,</strong> el silencio del frío del invierno parece que no hubiera existido nunca y el violonchelo del mar viene y va entre las arenas, con rumores de verano, como si el verano hubiese ocurrido siempre. Pero antes de este verano el frío estuvo entre nosotros y el frío volverá, y con él el trepidante ruido de las calles mezclado con el griterío de los partidos políticos, trufado con el eco de los circos mediáticos, a veces vociferante, a veces insultante. El silencio viaja por los túneles de nuestro vivir, las panzas de los violonchelos recogen la vibración de las cuerdas y la música &#8211; a la que muchas veces hacemos poco caso &#8211; nos recuerda que hay otra vida de melodías y silencios, el silencio antes de <strong>Bach</strong>, el silencio después de <strong>Bach</strong>, <strong>Bach </strong>mismo reposando en las cantatas que nos acompañan.</p>
<p>El silencio antes del frío del invierno es en estas noches un silencio alargado, iluminado por la luna, pacífico silencio de sueños. Vienen los violonchelos en soledades, bajan de las montañas, llegan al mar.</p>
