Maths exams have always been a pain. It’s never as much about the portions as it is the feeling of deflation that sets in as the answers are discussed. Back in school, every single Math exam was the same story. I never scored more than 90 or 92 for Chacko sir’s puttu-as-shit papers. Hell, the only time i failed for an exam was for Lakshmi madam’s fucked up Math paper in the tenth. It would be like, a beaming glowing “Aliya, ipravashyam valya kozhappamillarnu”, quickly turning into a frustrated irritated “Fuck aliya, mairu silly mistake, che!” Add to that the fact that then I was this redneck “No to copying” dude, and things turn sour. To atone for those sins, i turned coat in college, and bowed to the needs of the situation. Exams nowadays are one big gamble of portions and in situ improvisation, which naturally sweetens success, but punishes underperformance. Today was no exception.

Today was of singular importance to me, the last Maths exam of my Life. Come to think of it, this is like the first subject anybody studies, and is quite significant that it has ceased to exist as a subject for me. I mean, finally! It’s about fucking time. Third semester Maths exam. I’ll just say this much about it: God heard the panicky maniacal frantic cries of a disoriented soul and hearkened to his rescue. But the necessary detritus of every clean swipe, stubbornly remains: I dropped a ‘2′ mid-answer, and duly performed other such spin-offs of the old Fuckaliya. But I guess I can bump the grade in Maths to B+. Which is actually a far shot, in fact. So I is the happy Though i have this extremely farzi subject (statistics) next sem, at least i dont have to study it as Maths.

I’m happy also because today was my birthday, the last day as a teen. I was overwhelmed by the torrent of scraps and wall graffiti that I received from friends all over. It felt really nice to acknowledge each of them, typing personalized ‘Thank you, man ‘ messages, some 100 of them. It was really worth it, beautiful. I took like 15-16 phone calls from all my folks, the highest in a day for me till date. I really thank all of my buddies and friends who contacted me, THANK YOU PPL. You really made my day, it felt really nice to suck up all that warmth and sunshine, truly.

I’ve been in awe of WordPress for a long time, even this template, ever since i started blogging. I’ve been switching back and forth from WordPress and Blogger. I’ve now completely switched to WordPress, in anticipation of upgrading to custom CSS in the future, and more importantly, for this reason: I’m starting to go serious on blogging. After doing the rounds in minimal designs, first in WordPress (that was way back in 2006) to Blogger when i learnt that Blogger offered complete freedom in template editing and stuff. But now, i’ve decided to put the focus on my blogging content rather than the design itself. The inspiration to finally make the paradigm shift came from this website.  No Feedjit or the Cumulus. It’s just the post, from now on. I am retaining the Twitter feed, the Archives, and the Search button. Adios, Blogger. Was nice flirting with you.

Post Script: I make this move in very trying circumstances. I’ve got my exams beginning on Saturday, three days from now. Most of the creativity in me gets manifested during exam time: I finally joined Twitter in July this year on the eve of my Maths end sem exam. And now, this move to WordPress. This time around, my Hindu sun sign (Nakshatram) seems to be “falling” on my birthday. The stars seem to be favouring me for the first time. Hm…

Puertohurraco en sí mismo es un problema que se plantea por mor del egoísmo. Aquellos que conforman el trío tabernero dominaron durante generaciones el feudo comunero. Por esa misma razón el capo y sus adláteres han vivido con normalidad que la finca hurraqueña cambiara de titularidad. No repararon que ésta, la normalidad, entró en crisis cuando el capo decidió, una vez que su madre murió, que todo debía cambiar de situación y eso, ya se sabe, significa que él siempre sale ganando mientras a los Visentinis perjudica. No comprendió que se había generado un problema, y ahí comenzó su equivocación, no pensar y hacer una adecuada definición del conflicto, se la dio como siempre de listo y quiso conseguir lo que tenía en su imaginario en un visto y no visto. Nunca reparó en la capacidad de sus adversarios, pues pretendía engañarlos tal y como lo hacen los corsarios. Y el tiro le salió por la culata pues mira que los Visentinis le están dando la lata.
Los Visentinis si que comprendieron que había un problema y en su explicación no tuvieron dilema. Querían echar a su madre del lugar en el que nació, vivió y en el que, ojala que sea muy tarde, un día puedan decir con orgullo que murió. El problema estaba fielmente interpretado e igualmente por ellos debía ser adecuadamente gestionado. Aquí, en este extremo, el capo vuelve en su soberbia a pecar de blasfemo, pues como ser superior no supo valorar el potencial de su rival. Y optó por cometer tropelía tras tropelía apoyado en su villanía y la mayoría que detentó con tiranía. Ante tal situación el conflicto o problema agudizó la inteligencia de los Visentinis de manera extrema y gestionamos el mismo de forma suprema. El capo basó todo su gestión en el engaño y aprovechando sus influencias en el apaño y amaño, pensó que los Visentinis éramos rebaño, y que no tendríamos para salirnos de él reaños. Y si que los hemos tenido, y en menudo lío lo hemos metido al muy malnacido, pues ha pasado de ser en sus lugares de influencia valorado a un apestado. Su nombre nadie quiere que sea pronunciado en ningún negociado donde otrora era respetado, él se lo ha ganado y con el tesón y la razón los Visentinis a ello hemos ayudado.
Cuando en urbanismo o en el Ayuntamiento se escucha el nombre de este elemento, todos los funcionarios hacen común juramento de procurar tener de él un prudente distanciamiento. Igual desafección mantienen los políticos de cualquier formación, pues no quieren verse asociados al felón. No está el horno para bollos, en estos tiempos que corren, después de todos los embrollos, piensan para sus adentros, me relacionan con este personaje y me aparcan en el siguiente peaje. ¡Ay Giueseppe, tú que con soberana jactancia hacías gala de tu relevancia! ahora todo el mundo te trata desde y a distancia. Los Visentinis nunca nos hemos dado importancia, pero nuestra constancia y perseverancia en afrontar el problema nos ha hecho fuertes y hemos salido fortalecidos cuando tú pretendías que saliéramos jodidos. Eso mismo plantea el taoísmo los problemas se resuelven siempre en otro escenario distinto al que fueron planteados y quien los afronta y de ellos no sale pitando acaba fortalecido y ganando.
Nos tildabas de tragaldabas y por tu soberbia las cuentas no nos dabas, y mira por donde ahora estás instalado en la desesperación buscando documentos contables para el auditor judicial que te los demanda pues duda de tus actos inconfesables. Ahora cuando te pida las cuentas, vas y le cuentas que todos los años a tu hermano el profesional contable y a ti os daban un premio cuanto presentabais la declaración de las rentas. Por lo que nos cuenta un pajarillo andáis buscando facturas, hasta la del lebrillo. Y es que eso es lo que tiene, que él que en economía se pasa al lado oscuro, le cuesta sudores, te lo juro, encontrar las facturas inexistentes que puedan documentar las actuaciones pestilentes e indecentes.
Mira por dónde, que aquel que pensaba como un conde, que todo era normalidad, y no consideró como problema echar a Candelaria sino una oportunidad apoyándose en la impunidad que le daba su supuesta autoridad y superioridad. Ahora se ve afectado de intranquilidad como consecuencia de su enorme maldad. Puede que ahora seamos los Visentinis los que te digamos que tu intranquilidad y desasosiego son sólo daños colaterales de todos tus actos inmorales. Al día de hoy se te esfumaron las condecoraciones y los blasones, pasaste a ser pueblo llano, por gestionar el problema como un villano junto a tu hermano. Y es que capo demente solo fuiste consciente del problema de forma postrera mientras que nosotros lo pillamos a la primera. En ésta te pillamos la delantera. Y ahora ve y se lo cascas al administrador de la mariconera.

These IAS guys are so just freaking awesome. To say nothing of the people who clear the exams and interview in their very first attempt. Though the naysayers and detractors of aspirants might contort the whole picture into one of puppet and puppeteer, it is quite obvious what the “upsides” (complete understatement of ubercool kickass Godlike explosively fuckawesome) of the job are. It is generally known that the interview board is composed of the best known fodu merciless personalities who are (or seemingly are) stalwarts in more than one field.

I was talking to this friend about the IAS exam and IAS ppl in general. He shared some awe-inspiring anecdotes about the interview thing with me. He told me quite a few questions that were asked to aspirants, and the answers that were given, of which I attempt to reproduce a few. Some questions that were asked to aspirants and the answers:

1) This was asked to a person who was working as doctor: Being a doctor is one of the most noble services that one can render to humanity. What did you see in the IAS profession that could possibly be greater than that?

A: A doctor can only cure disease-infected patients. If I do become an IAS officer I can take steps to eradicate the cause of those diseases entirely.

2) This was asked to a B.Sc Physics or B.Tech fellow, i donno which: Of all the laws of nature you have studied, can you tell me one law that can possibly be applied to the profession you seek?

A. (Reply comes within 2 seconds, it seems) Newton’s Third Law.

The rest of the questions are currently unavailable due to a variant of this extremely irritating phenomenon. But hell, those answer-givers are surely an asset to our nation. The spontaneity of those answers, the dedication and passion – those people truly become the personifications of those elusive intangible entities.

Some of the IAS ppl i really admire: Malayattoor Ramakrishnan (wrote the finest, most awesomest short stories in Malayalam, resigned over some issue, and wrote books. Was a great boozer. \m/), J. Radhakrishnan (took timely steps in Nagappattinam district during Tsunami), Raju Narayanaswamy, Alphonse Kannanthanam, T.N. Seshan, and many more.

Unabused Power. The power to politely tell politicians who are flouting the restrictions imposed by the Election Commission to quit fucking around and obey the goddamn rules just like any other self respecting bastard. The power to make a difference. The privelege to be talked about as truly having some of the biggest balls in the country. Ye hota hai asli aukat. I salute these men, may their tribe increase. Seems like it is Breeding Season. All the goats, and the stray dogs are dingolphying around and making small goats and adorable puppies that cause near-accidents on the road on a daily basis. Even the rats in my room are at it, as I discovered this evening.

I finally met the progeny of the heroes I’ve been tweeting about for a couple of days. Unfortunately for him, his mother had passed away a few hours ago. I discovered her small carcass lying by the side of the unused air cooler. He had no idea about his mother’s demise, he being too young to understand death and fear. So he just scampered out of the room next to mine, via under the door, and just sat there. I was on a call, and saw something move and go still. I soon discovered him sitting right there, unmoving. Oh, he was really cute.

Curious, i prodded him with my finger. He gave a little jump, and faced away. When i poked him twice more, he got pissed off and quickly scampered under my door and hid himself between Prashant’s bag and trunk. It wasn’t very good hiding, because to hide you gotta keep moving. This guy just stood there, posing while i adjusted the lighting with an Emergency lamp. Cute little fella, ain’t he?

I decided to give him a chase. After about five minutes of dragging bags around and sweeping him from this corner to that, I gave him one thwack with the broom, and he went sliding out of the room. He decided to run for it. I easily caught him by his little brown tail. He reluctantly posed upside down for the group photo.

Later I sent him flying a few metres, far into the bushes where he belonged.

Con ese gracejo que caracteriza al Orondo Grasasol un día dijo para nuestro estupor, en esta familia no hay castas todos somos iguales, no cabe más desfachatez en la expresión pues fue un insulto a la sensatez, mentía más de lo que hablaba este personaje aliado pegajoso de los que en nuestro linaje han practicado el pillaje. El sistema de castas imperante en Puertohurraco ha funcionado como el que en la India se encuentra instalado. Así la clase dominante ha hecho y deshecho sacando pecho lo que les ha dado la gana, creyendo que a ello tenían derecho. Y la casta inferior, haciendo gala de la resignación, ha soportado estoicamente todo tipo de humillación, pues asumieron de modo natural tal condición.
Hoy este estatus quo ha cambiado después de todo lo pasado y ya relatado, aunque aún quedan ramalazos que imaginamos se irán extinguiendo aunque para ello necesitemos más plazos. Pues el miedo y el buenismo se instalaron en los Visentinis de generación en generación de modo que han sido elementos genéticos de su constitución. Y ya se sabe, la cabra tira al monte y te hace siempre mantenerte concentrado, porque de no ser así pierdes el norte. Por eso queridos Visentinis desprendeos de cualquier lastre del pasado al que aun os sintáis atados, desprendeos de las piedras que mantuvieron a vuestros padres lastrados, practicad la bondad con sensatez pero no con estupidez, y pinchar los fantasmas que vosotros mismos habías creado y que os infundían el miedo del que el capo y su clan se han aprovechado. Solo así seremos libres y se habrá acabado para siempre la esclavitud de nuestra casta de la que tantos réditos ha exprimido el capo hasta su senectud.
Pero nunca es tarde cuando la dicha es buena, pues aun así merece la pena poder sentirse libre de la condena. Y robo es un sustantivo que guarda una indisoluble relación con el que ejecuta tal acción, ósea el ladrón. Ahora hermana Trinificación te parece más prudente, a la par que conveniente, que al capo y su clan en lugar de llamarle ladrón, utilicemos otra sustantivación, como distraidor de lo ajeno, para referirnos al felón. Estos son los ramalazos que nos quedan por ser unos buenazos, con aquellos que no han tenido con nosotros ninguna consideración y menos aun algún tipo de afección.
Por todo ello a la altura de la película en la que estamos. No me pidáis conmiseración con el felón y con aquellos de su condición, pues la única respuesta que saldrá de mi será la negación. Y no será la venganza la que me mueve a actuar de esta manera con los de la finca comunera, sino la reparación de la injusticia y la mentira es la que mis actos inspira. Por todo ello lanzo el aviso a navegantes, cuando tengamos que vernos con estos mangantes, para dar oportuna respuesta a la autoridad municipal de las acciones negligentes de aquellos que actuaron como nuestros regentes en la rehabilitación inconclusa y en la malversación de la subvención, mis oídos permanecerán cerrados y serán impermeables a cualquier propuesta de los miserables, mientras no hayan restituido todo el dinero que a nuestra madre han sustraído sin mostrar ningún arrepentimiento ni sentimiento afligido. A saber, hablo de que es menester reponer en su haber, la cantidad de dos mil quinientos euros en concepto de lo enajenado por parte del administrador de la mariconera contratado por el venado del capo, en conceptos varios que a Candelaria fueron sustraídos de sus erarios (podas, arreglos eléctricos, limpieza del patio comunero, herramienta de contabilidad digital, dineros a cuenta sin devolución, etc.), igualmente hablo de los setecientos euros, que después de la declaración pestilente de dos mil siete realizada por el chapucero de las finanzas y profesional de la Administración Contable Charly, hacienda estimó conveniente reclamar a Candelaria de modo diligente, y finalmente hablo de los tres mil euros que la Seguridad Social le detrae a Candelaria de su pensión a perpetuidad como consecuencia colateral de la mencionada declaración demencial. Y en este mocho reponedor y reparador no se puede echar en olvido el valor de las treinta mensualidades de beneficios a raudales que entraron en las fincas gracias a sus alquileres mollares.
A partir de aquí, cuestión que no es baladí, empezamos a hablar de responsabilidades y responsables de las acciones deleznables que ahora nos reclaman del Consistorio para que acometamos sin modo dilatorio.
Y dejemos de ser buenistas, siempre con miedo a dejar pistas que puedan ser utilizadas por los artistas. Y perder el miedo que ningún juez manda a nadie al trullo por decir la verdad con orgullo. Y si ello ocurriera visitarnos a Mikel y Xavier, que nos gustará saber que estamos unidos hasta en la cárcel.

Uno dei peggiori o il peggiore dei lavori è fare il servo, nelle sue svariate sfaccettature. Non tollero chi comanda, chi deve e vuole “servirsi” di un altro per fare ciò che potrebbe benissimo fare da solo. E magari e frequentemente anche in malo modo, angariando, forte del potere che può esercitare su chi, per necessità o debolezza, non ha la forza o non può permettersi di reagire.

La paura , il terrore caratterizzano la condizione, di servitù, di schiavitù.

Che tristezza e rabbia vedere per strada il servo di colore, con tanto di divisa, che porta il cane a pisciare. La razza di questi padroni è tra le peggiori.

Che tristezza e rabbia vedere e sentire apostrofare con toni sgarbati il cameriere del ristorante. Un servo schiacciato da due padroni, da cento padroni.

Che tristezza e rabbia vedere le cosiddette “tata” che in sostanza crescono i figli delle donne che non vogliono far nulla. Anche qui , in fondo, un sandwich tra più padroni.

Che tristezza e rabbia vedere l’uso e l’abuso delle cosiddette “badanti” , serve deputate a pulire merda e piscia dai genitali dei vecchi rincoglioniti divenuti un peso per famiglie di padroni, per generazioni di padroni. Le cui mani non si sporcheranno e nemmeno la coscienza. Ormai divenuta, di questi tempi,una vera e propria virtù.

Che tristezza e rabbia vedere come anche la malattia , quando colpisce i servi, debba essere veloce, banale e senza oneri aggiuntivi per i padroni. Se invece è grave e duratura e comporta l’esborso anche di un cent, diventa un alleato inaspettato e impietoso, una complice omertosa, diventa un certificato di licenziamento pronto e servito nelle mani del padrone.

Che tristezza e rabbia osservare il volto dei “padroni” tronfi del loro misero potere, con la puzza sotto al naso , con un eterno sorriso sprezzante, esteriorizzazione della loro pochezza morale e animati da gestualità e toni perennemente tesi all’umiliazione.

Che tristezza e rabbia vedere i tuguri dei servi. Quando non disponibile nemmeno la solita brandina nel sottoscala. Terranei umidi e sordidi che padroni sovrapposti, speculatori senz’anima, tolgono alle pantegane per stiparci, sempre senza alcuna pietà, gli schiavi.

Che tristezza e rabbia sapere che di giorno gli schiavi vengono oppressi e sfruttati anche per oltre 18 ore al giorno, nelle fabbriche e negli opifici sparsi nel paese, contribuendo a far riempire le tasche dei senz’anima, mentre di notte sono costipati su luridi giacigli nei capannoni di deposito. E costretti a non uscire quando per i padroni, per la comunità è festa.

Che tristezza e rabbia per quelle casalinghe asservite all’accudimento del coniuge e dei figli e, spesso, anche maltrattate e bistrattate. E le cui spalle reggono tutti gli egoismi del gruppo, senza pietà.

Che tristrezza e rabbia per quei mariti soggiogati dall’egoismo e dall’astuzia delle mogli. Veri e propri castrati a 360° incapaci anche di andare al cesso senza essere controllati o chiedere il permesso alla padrona. Cani al guinzaglio col giornale fra le fauci.

Che tristezza e rabbia per i figli dei padri-padroni: soldatini inermi nelle mani di veri criminali che ne condizioneranno per sempre esistenza e psiche.

Che tristezza e rabbia vedere, osservare capetti di ogni sorta in ogni azienda e fabbrica, in ogni ufficio, tenere sotto il tallone, con la solita arroganza dei miserabili, intere schiere di servi, spesso anche servili.

Uma cena incomum no trânsito foi flagrada ontem, (13/11) no Centro de São Luíz, no estado do Maranhão. Uma mulher teve seu carro atingido por outro e para impedir que o motorista fugisse, correu o risco e sentou-se no capô do veículo, sendo carregada por cerca de cem metros.
Ela não saiu de cima do carro até a chegada da polícia e após o acontecido, foi na delegacia registrar queixa por tentativa de homícidio.
Essa é realmente corajosa…
