<p><span style="color:#808080;"><strong>Mergand mai departe, capra noastra era combinata cu primarul micii comunitati. Primarul avea cea mai mare casuta din copac si folosea 2 porci mistreti pentru transport (n.b.: 1 porc mistret = 0.19 cal putere). Chiar deunazi primarul il lovise pe vice-primar chiar pe trecerea de pietoni. Intre cei doi era o vrajba ce se intindea cu mult in trecut, foarte probabil din cauza oii careia ii placea sa stea capra.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#808080;"><strong>Dar sa nu deviem de la subiect. Primarul si capra se duceau la IMAX, era premiera la Avatar. Covor rosu alea alea, lume multa, nebunie. Pfff, am deviat de la subiect.</strong></span></p>

Ea se ducea la intervale regulate in Turcia ca sa le ofere celor trei iezi cucuieti d-ale gurii si alte cele care sa le asigure un trai de viata ridicat – mult mai ridicat decat cel care exista pe plaiurile noastre mioritice. Deoarece transportul in comun nu fusese inca inventat iar cei doi porci ai primarului nu rezistau mai multe de 2 km fara sa doarma 10 ore apoi, capra noastra era obligata sa faca drumul pe jos fapt in urma caruia rezulta, dupa cum va dati seama, un timp indelungat de dus-intors.</strong></span></p>

<title><![CDATA[Capra's visual strategies in The Bitter Tea of General Yen]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Okay, I&#8217;m going to spout a lot of junk in here, but there are some pretty pictures to compensate, so bear with me.</p>
<p>I must say, based on what little I&#8217;ve seen from the era, I think this early Capra film is one of the finest of the &#8217;30s. It revolves around the same themes that run through most of Capra&#8217;s work (that I&#8217;ve seen, at least): the existential and ethical foundations of social structure. The plot consists of a love affair of sorts between a Chinese general and a missionary&#8217;s soon-to-be-wife. They see one another as exotic and unfathomable, and they are attracted to one another because of that. They live their lives through two very different codes of ethics and general perspectives: in brief, the Chinese man views life through a lens of pragmatism and personal honor, while the American woman views it through one of &#8220;high ideals&#8221;. Over the course of the film, the confrontation between the views leads both to crumble. Each of the lovers is overcome by the other. In trying to bridge the gap between them, they end up falling into it. Of course, the whole things is rather racist toward Chinese people, but I don&#8217;t think that really affects the underlying ideas, and I find those ideas fascinating both on their own and in relation to the rest of Capra&#8217;s oeuvre.</p>
<p>But instead of writing about that, I&#8217;m going to focus on visuals. A conversation I recently had with a man named Qrazy made me focus on the film&#8217;s formal approach more than I normally would have. And I found it to be superb. I&#8217;ve seen very few (maybe 60 or 70) films from the 1930s, so anything I say about the era is wildly speculative. But it seems to me that Capra was one of the most formally invigorating directors of the time. Hawks and Von Sternberg are the only others who come to mind as being on the same level as him. In a time when so many American films looked far too much like filmed plays, Capra was shooting for maximum involvement: getting objects right up in the camera&#8217;s face; blocking and shooting to emphasize the depth and richness of the space of a scene, with the camera exploring multiple planes of people and objects; mixing things up by using more than one visual style; getting rid of dissolves and needless visual exposition; and letting dialogue breathe and overlap naturally. Capra&#8217;s style strikes me as much more dynamic and engaging than that of most other films of the time.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m confident that many people will disagree with that assessment, and I really don&#8217;t have the requisite knowledge to properly back it up. But given my closer-than-usual observation of this particular film&#8217;s style, I thought I might as well go into some detail in my praise of it. So, here follows a description of at least some aspects that I thought worked like gangbusters.<br />
Everything I say might be horribly obvious&#8230;but I&#8217;m going to say it anyway. First off, the film is filled with gorgeous shots, typically characterized by shimmering or glowing lighting. Here are some prime examples:</p>

<p>But it&#8217;s more specific techniques that interest me.</p>
<p>In the film&#8217;s first two scenes, Capra uses two starkly differing visual schemes to immediately and viscerally convey two states: one associated with the well-understood, homely state of being in one&#8217;s own cultural milieu; and the other associated with an unknown, exotic state of being in an alien milieu. The first scene begins with wide shots of the streets of Shanghai in chaos. It then cuts to a shot looking out through the doorway of a house, showing well-to-do Westerners coming in off the street:</p>

<p>Next, it cuts to a shot from the same angle but further back in the hallway:</p>

<p>In this shot, the space of the hallway is divided by two well-defined planes. Combined with the previous shot, it gives us the sense of a very orderly, organized, well-understood space. The people enter in single file, folding their umbrellas as they do so, are greeted, and then proceed to the next segment of space, where they doff their coats. This sense of a well-organized space in which everybody moves in well-understood ways is emphasized throughout the scene, in shots such as the following:</p>

<p>As the scene draws to a close, a missionary relates a tale of how he told a group of Mongolians the story of Christ&#8217;s crucifixion. He was pleased to find them keenly interested. But the Mongolians did not take his intended message from the story: instead, the next day they crucified their own prisoners. As a segue into the next scene, rather than using a simple cut or dissolve, Capra rapidly whirls the camera 180 degrees, beginning on the missionary and ending on this:</p>

<p>The man&#8217;s face is inscrutable, and that inscrutability drives home the point of the missionary&#8217;s tale.</p>
<p>The following scene takes place back in the streets. Out there, the clearly defined space is gone. Instead, there is only a hazy mass of motion:</p>

<p>The visuals take on an extremely gauzy texture, contrasting with the relatively sharp focus of the preceding scene. In addition, everything seems to be aglow and sparkling:</p>

<p>There is a sense of the unknown in the gauze, of the uncanny in the sparkles. They evoke a feeling of uncertainty and the exoticity: anything can happen here, and everything is deeply strange.</p>
<p>We then cut back to the house, where again, the space is clearly organized:</p>

<p>In this case, the space is divide between Chinese people in the foreground and Westerners in the background, with the hostess navigating the space in between. The next shot proceeds with the same strong slicing of space, and it&#8217;s very striking regardless of its role in that overall visual scheme:</p>

Despite their sense of definite spatial organization, the scenes inside the house never feel cold or rigid. In the above shot, the bodies are constantly moving, and people frequently pass immediately in front of the camera, ensuring that the space feels alive despite its organization; the organization is organic rather than mechanical, in a way.</p>
<p>In a later scene, the gauzy, shimmering textures of the streets are again contrasted with the interior of a house. This time it&#8217;s an orphanage barely weathering the external chaos. Now the visual scheme changes again, to high contrasts and foreboding physical obstructions, providing a sense of desolate desperation:</p>

<p>Outside on the streets, in a beautiful shot, the gauze renders hurled torches as amorphous glowing balls:</p>

<p>These aspects of the film&#8217;s style are the most striking, but there are plenty of details to admire. Frequently, Capra (or his DP) frames his shots with diegetic materials:</p>

<p>These shots create a sense of a full, rich space, and I find them quite appealing. The storytelling in each shot is also very strong. Consider the following shot, for example:</p>

<p>The woman&#8217;s figure is mostly visible, and her face is central, such that the viewer focuses on her actions and on trying to read her thoughts on her face. But the figure at the left is imposing, hovering over the woman, providing a constant sense of unease, always lingering, almost lurking there as we focus on the woman&#8217;s face. The shot comes shortly after the woman as a dream that reveals both her xenophobic distrust and her erotic fixation on the man. And the shot works off our knowledge of that dream, ensuring that we view the woman&#8217;s pensive face in terms of it, and loading the man&#8217;s<br />
hovering presence with its meanings.</p>
<p>So, anyway, I really liked this movie.</p>

<p>ஸ்மித் செனட் செல்லுமுன் நடக்கும் கூட்டத்தில் கவர்னர், டெய்லர், செனடர்  ஜோஸப் பெய்ன்(டெய்லரின் ஆள்) என பலரும் கலந்து கொள்கிறார்கள், அப்போது ஸ்மித் இறந்துபோன தனது தந்தையின் நண்பர்தான் செனடர்  பெய்ன் என்று சொல்கிறான். ஸ்மித் பழைய நண்பனின் மகன் என்பதை அறிகிறார். செனடர்  பெய்ன் பெய்னுடன், ஸ்மித் செனட் கூட்டத்திற்காக வாசிங்டன் செல்கிறான்.</p>
<p>பெய்னின் உதவியாளர் களாரிசா சாண்டர்ஸ் அறிமுகமாகிறாள். ஒரு கட்டத்தில் பிரச்சனைகளில் ஏதும் சிக்காமலிருக்க  ஸ்மித்தின் எண்ணமான  ”பாய்ஸ் கேம்ப்” நடத்த ஒரு மசோதாவை தயார் செய்யலாமே என பெய்ன் பரிந்துரைக்கிறார்.  சாண்டர்சின் உதவியுடன் மசோதா தயார் செய்து செனட்டில் முன்வைக்கிறான். தன் மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள வில்லட் க்ரீக் ஓடையின் இருபுறத்திலும் உள்ள இடத்தில்  ”பாய்ஸ் கேம்ப்” (சிறுவர்களை ஒன்றுசேர்த்து அமெரிக்க சித்தாதங்களை (தாமஸ் ஜெஃபர்சன், லிங்கன்  சொன்னவை, புஷ், நிக்சன் அல்ல)  கற்க, சுதந்திரத்தை உணர,  அன்றாட வாழ்விலிருந்து விலகி இயற்கையயை ரசிக்க)  நடத்தலாமென்றும் அங்கே உள்ள நிலங்களை அரசாங்கம் வாங்கலாமென்றும் பிறகு சிறுவர்கள் தங்கள் சேமிப்புகளிலிருந்து அரசாங்கத்திற்கு செலுத்தலாமென்றும் சொல்கிறான். செனட்டில் இருந்த பெய்ன் அதிர்ச்சியாகிறார், அதே வில்ல்ட் க்ரீக்கில் அணை கட்டும் திட்டம்(டெய்லரின் எற்பாடு) எற்கனவே உள்ளது, அணை கட்ட ஒப்புதல் கிடைத்தால், சுற்றியுள்ள இடங்களை அரசு வாங்கியாக வேண்டும், அந்த இடங்களை ஏற்கனவே டெய்லர், பினாமிகளை வைத்து வளைத்துள்ளார், அரசு அதை வாங்கும் போது அதிக விலைக்கு விற்க வேண்டும், இது டெய்லரின் திட்டம், பெய்ன் உடந்தை.</p>

<p>டெய்லர் வாசிங்டன் விரைகிறார் ஸ்மித்தை சந்தித்து அவர் விருப்பத்தை அனுசரித்து போகும்படி நிர்பந்திக்கிறார், ஸ்மித் மறுக்கிறான்,<br />
தன் பேச்சை கேட்டால் தொடர்ந்து நீண்ட காலம் பதவியில் இருக்காலம் என்றும், பெய்ன் போன்றவர்கள் அதனால்தான் தொடர்ந்து பதவியில் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்றும் கூறுகிறார், ஸ்மித் அதிர்ச்சி அடைந்து வெளியேறுகிறான். பெய்னை சந்தித்து டெய்லர் கூறியது உண்மையா என கேட்கிறான் “நீ சிறுவர்கள் உலகிலிருந்து வருகிறாய், உன்னால் பல விசயங்களை புரிந்து கொள்ள முடியாது” என்கிறார், ஸ்மித் ஏமாற்றமடைகிறான். ஆனால் நேர்மையாக நடக்க முடிவெடுக்கிறான்.</p>
<p>மீண்டும் செனட் விவாததில் ஸ்மித் பேச ஆரம்பிக்கும்போது,   வில்லட் க்ரீகில்  ”பாய்ஸ் கேம்ப்” நடத்தலாமென்று ஸ்மித் சொன்ன இடங்கள்,  ஸ்மித்துக்கு சொந்தம் எனவும் இது அதிகாரதுஷ்பிரயோகம் எனவும் பெய்ன் குற்றஞ்சாட்டுகிறார், இக்ககுற்றசாட்டை சிறப்புரிமை மற்றும் தேர்வுக்குழு விசாரிக்கும்படி  செனட் தலைவர்(துனை அதிபர்) உத்தரவிடுகிறார். விசாரனையின் போது பொய்யான சாட்சிகளையும், பொய்யான ஆவணங்களையும் டெய்லர் எற்பாடு செய்கிறார். பெய்ன், கவர்னர் என பலரும் ஸ்மித்துக்கு எதிராக சாட்சியளிக்கிறார்கள். ஸ்மித் அந்த இடத்தை விட்டு ஒடுகிறான், ஊருக்கு போய்விட எண்ணுகிறான், அதற்கு முன் லிங்கன் நினைவிடத்துக்கு செல்கிறான், ஸ்மித்தை தேடிக்கொண்டு அங்கு சாண்டர்ஸ் வருகிறாள். அவனுக்கு ஆறுதல் கூறி தேற்றுகிறாள். ஊருக்கு போய் நீ எந்த குற்றமும் செய்யவில்லை என நிருபிக்க முடியாது இங்கிருந்துதான் போராட வேண்டும் என அறிவுறுத்துகிறாள்.</p>

<p>செனட் விதிமுறைகளின்படி ஃபிலிபஸ்டர் (filibuster) என்ற முறையயை பயன்படுத்தி, ஒரு விவாத்தின் மீதான வாக்கெடுப்புக்கு முன் அதற்கெதிராக தொடர்ந்து பேசி (இடையே நிறுத்தவோ, உட்காரவோ கூடாது. மற்றவர் கேள்விக்கு பதிலலிக்கலாம்) சபையயை முடிவின்றி தன் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் வைக்கலாம். எனவே ஸ்மித் சிறப்புரிமை மற்றும் தேர்வுக்குழு அறிக்கை மீது வாக்கெடுப்பு நடத்தி தன்னை நீக்கும் முன்பு ஸ்மித் பேச சபைத்தலைவர் அனுமதித்தால்  வாக்கெடுப்புக்கு எதிராக தொடர்ந்து பேசி தன் தரப்பு நியாங்களை எடுத்துரைத்து போரடலாம் என சாண்டர்ஸ் கூறுகிறாள்.</p>
<p>அடுத்த நாள் செனட் தலைவர் ஸ்மித்தை பேச அனுமதிக்கிறார், ஸ்மித்  ஃபிலிபஸ்டர் முறையயை பயன்படுத்த போவதாக கூறியவுடன், செனடர்களும், பத்திரிக்கையாளர்களும் பரபரப்படைகிறார்கள். டெய்லர் தன்வசமுள்ள பத்திரிக்கை மற்றுமல்லாமல் மற்ற பத்திரிக்கைகளையும் ஸ்மித்க்கு எதிராக திருப்புகிறார், ஆள் வைத்து ஸ்மித்க்கு எதிராக பேரணிகள் கண்டன கூட்டங்கள் அவருடைய மாகாணத்தில் நடத்த ஏற்பாடு செய்கிறார். ஸ்மித்தின் குரல் தன் மாகாணத்தில் கேட்காமல் இருக்க அத்துனை ஏற்பாடுகளையும் செய்கிறார். ஸ்மித் தொடர்ந்து பேசுகிறான்.</p>
<p>சாண்டர்ஸ் பார்வையாளர் இடத்தில் அமர்ந்து கொண்டு அவ்வப்போது செய்கை மூலம் ஸ்மித்தை வழிநடத்துகிறாள். ஸ்மித்தின் பாய் ரேஞ்சர்ஸின் சிறு பத்திரிக்கையான் ”பாய்ஸ் ஸ்டஃப்” மூலம் ஸ்மித்தின் போராட்டத்தை அச்சிடும்படி ஸ்மித்தின் அம்மாவிடம் தொலைபேசி மூலம் தெரிவிக்கிறாள். அச்சிட்ட பத்திரிக்கையயை சிறுவர்கள் விநியோகம் செய்யும் போது டெய்லரின் ஆட்கள் தடுக்கிறார்கள். ஸ்மித் தொடர்ந்து கிட்டதட்ட 24 மணி நேரம்  பேசுகிறான், இறுதியில் வெற்றியும் அடைகிறான்.</p>
<p>இந்தப்படம் வெளிவந்த ஆண்டு  1939, படம் வெளிவந்து 70 ஆண்டுகள் கழித்து இப்போது பார்க்குபோதுகூட மிகவும் சுவாரஸ்யமாக செல்கிறது.</p>
<p>மிகவும் விறுவிறுப்பாக செல்லும் இப்படத்தில் தெளிவான திரைக்கதை, கூர்மையான வசனங்கள்/சிந்தனைகள், அழகிய காதல் காட்சிகள், நல்ல நகைச்சுவை, அபாரமான நடிப்பு என நல்ல பல அம்சங்கள் உள்ளன. ஸ்மித்தாக நடித்தவர் ஜேம்ஸ் ஸ்டிவர்ட், இவர் இதே இயக்குநரின் ‘இட்ஸ் அ வொண்டர்ஃப்ல் லைஃப்’, ஹிட்ச்காகின் ‘ரியர் விண்டோ’ ‘வெர்டிகோ’ போன்ற படங்களில் நடித்தவர். ஆரம்ப காட்சிகளில் அப்பாவி இளைஞனாக வந்து பிறகு அநீதிக்குக்கெதிராக போரடுபவராக மாறுவதை மிக நேர்த்தியாக செய்திருப்பார். டேனியல் வெப்ஸ்டரின் இருக்கை தனக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதாக பெய்னிடம் கூறும் போது அப்பாவியாக, சாண்டர்ஸுடனான மெல்லிய காதல் காட்சிகள், இறுதிக்கட்டத்தில் மிகவும் தீர்மானமாக ‘நான் பின்வாங்கமாடேன்’ என்னும் சொல்லும் இடத்தில் என வெவ்வேறு சூழ்நிலைகளில் அருமையான நடித்திருப்பார்.</p>
<p>களாரிசா சாண்டர்ஸாக நடித்தவர் ஜீன் ஆர்தர், இதே காலகட்டத்தில் நடித்த இங்ரிட் பெர்ங்மென், பார்பரா ஸ்டான்விக் அளவிற்கு அழகியல்ல என்றாலும், மிகுந்த நடிப்பாற்றால் உள்ளவர். காதல் காட்சிகளிலும், காதலில் தோல்வியடைந்ததாக எண்ணி வருந்தும்பொழுதும், இறுதியில் ஸ்மித் நிலைகுலந்து செனட்டில் பேசும் போது கதறுவது என படம் முழுக்க சிறப்பாக செய்திருப்பார்.</p>
<p>செனட்டர் பெய்னாக நடித்தவர் க்லாட் ரெய்ன்ஸ் இவர் ’தி அட்வென்ச்செர்ஸ் ஆஃப் ராபிஹுட்’ ‘காசபலான்கா’ ‘ஹிட்ச்காகின் நொட்டோரியஸ்’ போன்ற படங்களில் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரத்தில்  நடித்திருப்பார். இவருக்கு நண்பனின் மகன் என்பதனால் ஸ்மித் மீது பரிவுண்டு, ஆனால் டெய்லரின் ஆசை வார்த்தைக்கும்(வருங்கால அமெரிக்க அதிபர்) பணிந்து போவது என   கதாபாத்திரத்தின் உணர்வுகளை புரிந்து சரியாக செய்திருப்பார்.  ஜேம்ஸ் டெய்லராக நடித்த எட்வார்ட் அர்னால்டு மிக சிறப்பாக நடித்திருப்பார்.  இதே ஆண்டில் வந்த ‘ஸ்டேஜ் கோச்’  படத்திற்காக சிறந்த குணச்சித்திர நடிகருக்கான ஆஸ்கர் வென்ற தாமஸ் மிட்சல், சாண்டர்ஸின் நண்பன் டிஸ்ஸ் ஆக நடித்திருப்பார். செனட் தலைவராக நடித்த ஹேரி கேரி என அனைத்து நடிகர்ளும் நடிப்பும் பார்வையாளர்களுக்கு விருந்து</p>

<p>சக மனிதனை நேசி என்பதனை மையக்கருத்தாக கொண்ட இத்திரைப்படம்  ஒரு உத்வேகத்தையும் மனிதத்தின் மேல் நம்பிக்கையையும்,  தரும். ’அமெரிக்கன் ஃபிலிம் இன்ஸிடூட்டின்’   உத்வேகம்(inspiring) தரக்கூடிய 100 படங்களின் பட்டியலில் ஐந்தாவது இடத்தில் உள்ளது,  அமெரிக்காவின் சிறந்த 100 படங்களின் பட்டியலில் 26வது இடத்தில் உள்ளது.</p>

<p>ஆஸ்கர் விருதில் 10 பிரிவுகளில் பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்டாலும், ஒன்றுதான்(அசல் திரைக்கதை) கிடைத்தது.  1939 ஹாலிவுட் சினிமாவிற்கு பொன்னான் ஆண்டு. உலகெங்கும் வசூலில் சாதனைப்படைத்த , ஆஸ்கரில் 10 விருதுகள் பெற்ற ‘கான் வித் தி விண்ட்’ , ’விசார்ட் ஆஃப் ஓஜ்’, ஜான் வெய்ன் கதாநாயகனாக நடித்த முதல் படமும், வெஸ்டர்ன்(கெளபாய்) படங்களின் முன்னோடியான ‘ஸ்டேஜ் கோச்’ , கரேட்டா கார்போ நடித்த எர்ன்ஸ்ட் லூபிட்ச்சின் ‘நினோட்ச்கா’ , வில்லியம் வைலரின் ‘ வதரிங் ஹைட்ஸ்’ , பெட்டி டேவிஸின் சிறப்பான நடிப்பில் வந்த ‘டார்க் விக்டரி’, ‘லவ் அஃபயர்’ என  இன்றளவும் கொண்டாடப்படும் பல படங்கள் வெளிவந்தன. 2009 ல் 70 ஆண்டு முடிவதை முன்னிட்டு பல விழாக்கள் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டன.</p>
<p>வணிகரீதியாக பெருவெற்றியடைந்த இப்படம், அக்காலகட்டத்தில் மிகுந்த சர்ச்சைக்குள்ளானது, வாசிங்டன் பத்திரிக்கைகளும், அரசியல்வாதிகளும் தங்களை உண்மைக்குமாறாக இழிவாக சித்தரிப்பதாக விமர்சித்தனர். அமெரிக்காவிற்கு எதிராக கம்யூனிச சிந்தனைகள் கொண்டதாகவும் விமர்சிக்கப்பட்டது. (ஆனால் லிங்கனையும், ஜெஃபர்சனையும் போற்றி அவர்கள் கண்ட கனவிற்கு எதிர்திசையில் தேசம் சென்றுகொண்டிருப்பதாக படம் சொல்கிகிறது) ஜெர்மனி, இத்தாலி, சோவியத் போன்ற நாடுகளில் அப்போது தடைசெய்யப்பட்டது. ஃபரான்சில் 1942ல் அமெரிக்க படங்கள் தடைசெய்யப்பட்ட போது இப்படத்தை கடைசிப்படமாக சில திரையரங்குகள் திரையிட்டன.</p>

Acredito na maioria das vezes presenciar a era da incerteza sobre nós mesmos, aquilo que somos, objetivos pretendidos, educação almejada, profissão a clarear etc. Que me faz nortear os pensamentos para Martinho da Vila em &#8221;deixe a vida me levar, vida leva eu&#8221;. O interessante é que a vida leva mesmo para lugares outros muitas vezes não pretendidos por nós mesmos.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Nos acostumamos a olhar para o futuro tendo como tecido a ser tingido ou escrito a partir do presente, e ainda afirmamos que depende um tanto quanto não só do que fazemos no presente, mas também do caminho traçado no passado. Já refletiram que idiotice, chatice, pasmaceira sem razão de crer em uma estrutura de vida e sociedade linear, tridimensionada apenas? Seres autômatos, preparados para raciocinar via provas &#8220;a la William Douglas&#8221;, gurú de certames, encaixando a compreensão em profundidade, largura e comprimento. Juntemos mais uma dimensão o tempo. Assim temos três dimensões espaciais e uma temporal. Quatro dimensões informadas pelo próprio universo.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">A música seja ela qual for, ops. melhor não ampliar tanto, mas a grande maioria das boas músicas nos conduzem para uma apreensão de nós mesmos que nos desconcerta, incomoda, ou alegra, ou ainda dramatiza a nossa vida, insta percepções recônditas, silenciadas. São ondas, apenas ondas. Será que a origem do universo não se deu em razão de ondas? Todos sabemos que onda é uma pulsação de energia que viaja no espaço ou através de algum estado gasoso, líquido ou sólido.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Imaginem, pois, cordas quânticas, significa que os elétrons, prótons e nêutron viajam no espaço com uma supersimetria, ocasionando tensão, tal qual um barbante. Lembram quando brincamos de barbantes girando-o até virar e causar um loop fechado. Pois bem, imaginem esse loop viajando no espaço e causando tensão pelas cordas quânticas até criar em seu centro novos loops e ir concentrando matéria até gerar uma esfera. O curioso é que esse movimento pode gerar não apenas 4 dimensões tais quais as explicações comuns sobre tudo ao nosso redor, ou ao menos aquilo que conseguimos observar, mas criam 26 dimensões. Imaginem um mundo em que consigamos compreender 10 dimensões do total aqui ensaiado. Que perguntinhas faríamos nos testes de concurso público?</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Claro que aqui estou a fazer uma brincadeira com a teoria das cordas ou supercordas, apenas invençãozinha, criaçãozinha para tingirmos um pouquinho nosso blog com as implicações da física quântica na atualidade. Edward Witten é o físico que na década de 90 começou a apresentar várias teorias de cordas e tenta comprovar a sua possibilidade material ainda hoje.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">O maestro Villa-Lobos por certo, assim como tantos outros grandes músicos e musicistas já devem ter pensado esse esquema um trilhão de vezes. Fico impressionado com a tacanhice das ciências sociais perto da arte e das ciências denominadas duras. Precisamos então povoar de física quântica a ciência social? <p>Gebeleizis (Gebeleixis, Nebeleizis) era zeitatea pamantului, abundentei, vazduhului, traznetelor. Sarbatorit la fiecare 5 ani.</p>
<p>Datorita fulgerelor, pe care le controla, a fost pus in corespondenta cu alte zeitati: Indra, Zeus, Thor,&#8230;.  Si cam atat. Cam asta este tot ce se poate gasi pe net despre cel care a fost numit zeitatea suprema a dacilor.</p>
<p>Cu cine nu este pus in legatura insa, este Geb. Cu toate ca numele o sugereaza, Geb nu este pus in legatura cu Gebeleizis. Geb si Gebeleizis sunt una si aceeasi zeitate. Geb este descris in mod gresit de catre egiptologi si de aceea aceasta legatura nu este evidenta. </p>
<p><strong>Cine este Geb?</strong><br />
Geb este o divinitate a pamantului (ca si Gebeleizis). </p>
<p>Geb este o divinitate de maxima importanta. Tronul pe care statea faraonul era tronul lui Geb. Gebeleizis este zeitate suprema. Sub tronul faraonilor exista aproape intotdeauna un patrat. <p>Cei care interpreteaza reprezentarile lui Geb evita sa arate ca Geb face legatura dintre vazduh si pamant. In reprezentari cel care se afla intre Cer (Nut) si sol (barbatul intins ) este insusi Geb. Pana de rata (rata simbolul lui Geb) de pe cap indica clar aceasta. Legatura dintre cer si pamant, traznet, Geb, Gebeleizis.</p>
<p>Geb (si nu Shu) este cel care atinge pe Nut in partile ei cele mai intime, sani si organ sexual, &#8220;lapte si miere&#8221;. In unele reprezentari Geb este reprezentat cu organul sexual erect, incercand sa refaca legatura dintre vazduh si pamant.</p>
<p>Geb este &#8220;tatal&#8221; tuturor zeilor. Gebeleizis este zeitatea suprema.</p>
<p>Geb reprezentat prin culoarea verde (abundenta, prosperitate, fertilitate). Gebeleizis- zeu al abundentei.</p>

<p>Geb era numit si Seb. Seb gasim in cuvintele: Sib-iu, Seb-i, Seb-astian, Eu-Seb-iu, Seb-es (sebesh pentru egiptenii antici insemna dar, cadou).</p>
<p>A ramas Gebelizis in cultura noastra? Sigur ca da. In perioada sarbatorilor de iarna se merge cu &#8220;capra&#8221; (Geb este reprezentat cu coarne). In timpul ritualului se repeta sunetul TZA (tza, tza, tza, capriTZA tza). Ce-i cu acest TZA? Pai un simbol al lui Geb este RA-TZA (in romaneste este rata, habar nu am cum o numeau egiptenii).</p>
<p>Cuvinte cu TZA: TZA-ra, TZU-rai, TZA-ran, TZA-rina, TZA-rana.<br />
In cultura maramureseana avem acel inconfundabil: TZU-rai, TZA!; Tzurai, tzurai si tzurai.<br />
Banuiala mea este ca TZA functioneaza ca si o mantra. Repetarea ei este de fapt invocarea lui Gebeleizis.</p>
<p>Ca tot am pomenit de TZA-ran (taran), exista o zeitate numita Taranis. Simbolul principal este fulgerul, traznetul. Nu se prea face legatura intre Gebeleizis si Taranis. Credinta in Gebeleizis se pare ca a fost salvata in toate aceste cuvinte. Tza-ranul este &#8220;talpa&#8221; tza-rii (spunea cineva) si parca acum are alt inteles.</p>
<p><strong>Gebeleizis, zeu al abundentei?</strong><br />
Putina lume stie ca zilnic datorita traznetelor pe sol se depun 250000 tone de azot. Azot care este necesar plantelor. Ploaia aduce si ea nutrientii de care vegetatia are nevoie. Putina lume stie. Se pare insa ca dacii stiau, ei l-au considerat pe Gebeleizis ca zeu al abundentei<br />
Tot ei lansau sageti in vazduh, catre cerul innourat (care acoperea fata zeului). Este posibil ca prin aceasta ei de fapt incercau accelerarea transferului de azotati catre sol. Azi provocam ploaia lansand rachete cu diferite substante. Nu este exclus ca varfurile sagetilor sa aiba acelasi efect sau poate ca nu are loc provocarea ploii ci doar al transferului de azotati prin descarcari electrice minuscule care au loc la inaintarea sagetii in sus. Varful sagetii trasa ,de la un anumit potential electric, in sus intalneste potentiale din ce in ce mai ridicate. Descarcari electrice nu sunt excluse.<br />
Ceea ce anticii descriau ca un simplu ritual ar putea sa fie de fapt un caz de manipulare a climei. Si asta in antichitate. </p>
<p>Probabil ca pe munti se practicau cele mai puternice ritualuri legate de Gebeleizis. Cativa munti au nume legate de zeu. Acesti munti au nume ca: Bedeleu (Begeleu cum il pronunta taranii din zona), Penteleu,&#8230; Formatiunile numite Detunate sunt in legatura cu acelasi zeu.</p>
<p><strong>Tronul lui Geb (-eleizis)</strong><br />
Tronul pe care stateau faraonii era tronul lui Geb. Cand Geb radea aveau loc cutremure.<br />
Multe dintre placutele de la Sinaia au reprezentat un tron sub care se afla un triunghi. Obiectul reprezentat de catre acest triunghi nu poate sa fie altceva decat o piramida. Cu baza patrat sau triunghi. </p>
<p>Tetraedru- 4 fete, fiecare fata un triunghi (3). Tetraedru simbol al Focului.<br />
Piramida (cu baza patrat)- patratul de la baza (4), fetele laterale, triunghiuri (3), fetele piramidei in numar de 5 (Gebeleizis era sarbatorit la fiecare 5 ani?). Particula PIR (din piramida) are legatura cu elementul FOC.</p>
<p>Sa fie oare zona Vrancea &#8220;Tronul lui Geb&#8221;? Sunt bune sanse ca aceasta sa fie adevarat.<br />
1. Loc de cautare interioara si implinirea a sihastrilor.<br />
2. Vrancea are 7 feciori (3+4).<br />
3. Vrancea este zona cu cea mai mare activitate seismica a tarii.<br />
4. Geoglifa Vrancioaia pare ca se ridica de la pamant spre cer.</p>

<p>Sulla luna c’è traccia di acqua, uno strato di giacchio è stato scoperto dalla NASA sul pianeta.</p>
<p>Non saprei se questa è da considerarsi una bella notizia o forse c’è da preoccuparsi.</p>
<p>Preoccupato è il mio amico Tico Luna, che da anni vive nascosto nella mia cantina, da quando scivolò via dalla sua navicella spaziale, mentre eseguiva un procedimento di “ordinaria manutenzione” appeso (pare senza i dovuti <em>dispositivi per la sicurezza</em>, ma non ho ancora indagato) all’esterno del proprio mezzo.</p>
<p>A dire il vero, da anni l’omino Lunare è preoccupato da quando gli americani hanno iniziato a sondare di qua e di la con le loro varie trivelle, sonde, bombe intelligenti ecc.</p>
<p>Mi dice sempre: &#60;&#60; ma perché una di quelle sonde non se la infilano in un altro posto? Sono tanto obesi e pieni di grassi saturi, mangiando tutte quelle schifezze che trivellandosi a vicenda potrebbero almeno risparmiare sulla liposuzione&#62;&#62;</p>
<p>L’altro giorno poi è successa una cosa inquietante, mi ha mostrato un’e-mail inviatagli da un suo amico, questa conteneva uno spot pubblicitario che da qualche mese si sta diffondendo su tutti i paesi Lunari, quelli però abilitati alla ricezione del segnale in digitale terrestre, che sembra sia sbarcato anche sulla luna..</p>

<p>Tico, che è un personaggio abbastanza lunatico devo dire, ha fatto anche un’osservazione nel suo blog che a mio parere merita una seria riflessione, vi riporto in calce l’articolo tradotto dal Lunare all’Italiano.</p>
<p>” <em>Cari i miei amici lunari, con piacere vi scrivo anche oggi, 7300° giorno di mia permanenza sulla terra, ho da dire tante cose e sono arrabbiato. <p><em>Una persona che ha lavorato tanto nella sua vita, non c’è che dire..ma io voglio parlarvi del popolo terrestre che io conosco più da vicino: gli Italiani. Ho avuto modo di studiarli e conoscerli meglio in questa mia, ahimè forzata villeggiatura, qui sulla terra. Questo popolo è capace di andare contro tutti e tutto, di urlare al governo ladro e poi di andare a votare eleggendo le stesse persone contro le quali protestava e cosa più assurda non per volere proprio ma perché qui esiste una legge elettorale molto convulsa e strana, quasi a specchio direi, che permette di esprimere il voto esattamente opposto da quello che si ha intenzione di dare.</em></p>
<p><em> All’interno del paese, ci sono ancora posti che vengono distrutti completamente dal terremoto, perché l’abusivismo edilizio negli ultimi anni ha dato un enorme slancio all’economia interna, non si preoccupavano del luogo dove costruivano, ma di poter costruire dovunque, sulle rive dei fiumi, alle pendici delle montagne, anche sulle sabbie mobili… Ci sono regioni dove da più di venti anni si cerca di assegnare appalti e  sub-appalti per costruire un’autostrada, esistono regioni dove manca l’acqua, il governo non controlla affatto i privati, soprattutto quelli che hanno i soldi e magari se i soldi, questi signori, li hanno rubati, vengono premiati ma non puniti, mai.</em></p>
<p><em> Esiste una tendenza da parte dei governi, quella di accedere all’incasso dei soldi, maledetti sporchi e subito, alla faccia delle regole, e di tutte le conseguenze che questo può avere sulla corretta crescita economico-sociale della nazione.</em></p>
<p><em>In parole povere, i ricchi hanno i loro paradisi e nessuno li può toccare, tutto il resto della popolazione, vive lavorando precariamente, avendo quel tanto che basta per non morire, per sopravvivere, è continuamente tenuto per la gola da mutui infiniti e da debiti con tutti e con tutto, non può avere nessuna certezza di un futuro, deve sempre ogni giorno preoccuparsi di come fare a mantenere il posto di lavoro, di come farsi rinnovare il contratto e deve sempre reinventarsi, grande è il popolo italiano che lavora perciò, grande merito agli operai e a tutti i precari, che io farei atterrare sulla luna, perché almeno questo sistema di cose, sta creando una generazione di gente piena di fantasia e la fantasia è creare dal nulla, creare è arte, l’arte è cultura, magari nei prossimi anni qualcosa cambierà, grazie a loro.</em></p>
<p><em>State attenti dunque, diffidate di quei personaggi che sulla terra sono seduti sulle poltrone di comando e soprattutto da Lui, vuole bersi la nostra acqua, già ci ha dato una “sola” con il digitale terrestre, noi pensavamo di imparare l’italiano e un po’ di cultura terrestre, ma le uniche parole che abbiamo imparato a memoria sono: Berlusconi, trans, mazzette, mafia, Craxi, Fede, Grande fratello, campionato, porta a porta, Vespa, zanzara tigre, influenza A, aids, aviaria, Sanremo, X factor, capra, fascista, comunista, neri cattivi, bianchi buoni, crocefisso si, crocefisso no, guerra, escort, toghe rosse, impazienza.&#8221;</em></p>

<title><![CDATA[La Batalla de Inglaterra]]></title>

<p>Un hallazgo. A partir de un comentario aparecido hace varios meses en la revista <a href="http://www.elamante.com/">El Amante</a>, conseguí una copia de <em>Battle of Britain</em>, uno de los documentales de la serie <em>Why we fight</em>, que Frank Capra dirigió para el Departamento de Guerra de los Estados Unidos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial.</p>
<p>La película tiene valor intrínseco desde el punto de vista histórico, pero aún más para quienes nos dedicamos a la teoría de la comunicación, ya que fue uno de los &#8220;mensajes&#8221; que utilizó Carl Hovland en sus investigaciones sobre los efectos de los medios masivos para lograr el cambio de actitud de los soldados reclutas.</p>
<p><em>Battle of Britain</em> muestra -en tono heroico- los esfuerzos ingleses durante los bombardeos alemanes. Capra mezcla tomas documentales con recreaciones actuadas, y el resultado termina siendo indistinguible de la versión tópica de la Segunda Guerra Mundial que Hollywood  impuso por lo menos hasta los setenta: soldados aliados valientes y civiles sacrificados, uniendo sus esfuerzos en pos del triunfo de la democracia; nazis crueles movidos por la maldad y el ansia de sofocar la libertad, etc. Mirándola ahora, resulta por lo menos curioso que Hovland pensara que era posible que una argumentación del tipo que presenta el documental pudiera realmente modificar la actitud de personas que se enfrentaban a temores tan básicos (como el miedo a la muerte). No por nada, las conclusiones de <em>El soldado americano</em> le dan más chances de efectividad a cuestiones como el espíritu de grupo y el control interpersonal. Hovland va a tomar nota de esta dificultad, y en sus experimentos posteriores -ya dentro del Programa de Yale- elegirá a propósito temas de menor implicación personal.</p>

<p>Toda la serie de Capra está disponible en <a href="http://www.archive.org/">Internet Archive</a>, el sitio de material de dominio público. Se puede ver en streaming o bajar archivos en varias versiones. Yo bajé uno OGV, pero la calidad es escasa (me quedó la duda acerca de si la versión MPEG2 de 2 Gb valía la pena). El problema son los subtítulos. Sólo conseguí unos ripeados por <a href="http://www.makingoff.org/forum">MakingOff</a>, que no correspondían con la sincronización del video. Así que me dediqué a resincronizarlos y corregirlos (horrible el OCR del original y bastante mala la traducción), para finalmente subirlos a <a href="http://www.subdivx.com/">SubDivx</a>.</p>

The special is just now<img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-149" title="1939" src="http://silverscreenstories.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/1939.jpg?w=300" alt="1939" width="300" height="130" />coming on TCM so for those who do not have TCM or have not gotten to watch it either, here it is a running recap.</p>
<p>From films such as <em>Gone with the Wind</em> to <em>Wizard of Oz</em> to <em>Wuthering Heights</em>, 1939 is arguably the greatest year in cinematic history.</p>
<p>The documentary opens up with vintage footage from the Oscars ceremony from that year. It then discusss how efficient Hollywood was back then. Studios could churn out a 100 films if needed and they really connected with the audiences of the day. The documentary then discussed the various movie studios and their respective 1939 films.</p>
<p>MGM Studios and Louis B Mayer were the big winners in 1939. The studio owned such stars as Clark Gable, Greta Garbo, and Myrna Loy.</p>
<p>But MGM&#8217;s brightest star during this time was Mickey Rooney. <em>Babes in Arms </em>was his feature film in 1939, which also starred Judy Garland. Mickey had starred in several <em>Andy Hardy </em>films by 1939 and was hugely popular. Many female stars, such as Lana Turner, first starred as one of Andy Hardy&#8217;s lady loves before going to bigger fame later.</p>
<p>Judy Garland was one of MGM&#8217;s home-grown talents and she won the role of Dorothy in <em>Wizard of Oz</em>, even though Shirley Temple was also considered for the role. One of MGM&#8217;s first forays into technicolor, <em>Wizard</em> was a huge success and gains new fans everyday.</p>
<p><em>Wizard</em> catapulted Judy into even bigger fame and before the year was up, she had been cast in another one of Mickey&#8217;s movies, <em>Babes in Arms</em>. This is one of my first-watched and favorite musicals.</p>
<p>Another movie studio mentioned is Warner Bros. WB featured films that had more tommy-guns than satin and lace. Their bread and butter was crime and drama. Its gritty stars James Cagney, Humprey Bogart, and Bette Davis all made great dramas during this time. Errol Flynn was also a major star that brought class and strength to the western genre in <em>Dodge City</em>.</p>
<p>Bette Davis truly had a banner year in 1939. She starred in <em>Dark Victory, </em><em>The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex</em>, <em>Juarez</em>, and <em>The Old Maid</em> . As the documentary stated, most actors would be happy with these films during their entire career, but Davis accomplished all of these films in just one year. Davis was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for <em>Dark Victory</em> but lost out to Vivien Leigh for <em>Gone with the Wind</em>.</p>
<p>Universal Pictures needed a great film to help themselves right their ship. They chose to go the route of the monster movie and produced <em>Son of Frankenstein</em>.</p>
<p>Frank Capra made his mark in 1939 by directing the great drama <em>Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. </em>Jimmy Stewart gives one of his greatest performances in this movie about a naive senator who makes a difference in government. This movie did draw controversy for its political tones, but Capra refused to shelve it. This one is a must-see for sure.</p>
<p>Howard Hawks, who like Capra worked for Columbia Pictures, worked twice with Cary Grant in 1939. He directed <em>Only Angels Have Wings</em> for Columbia. For RKO Pictures, Hawks also worked on <em>Gunga Din</em>, which is considered to be one of the best action films of the year. <em>Gunga Din </em>stars Grant and Douglas Fairbanks and was one of the most expensive films RKO ever made.</p>
<p>20th Century Fox Studios was only four years old in 1939 but already had stars like Henry Fonda. The studio owner focused on getting and keeping director John Ford. Ford was instrumental in making the great western <em>Stagecoach</em> starring John Wayne as Ringo Kid. Ford had to fight to cast Wayne, who was a newcomer to Hollywood at this time. Of course we all know that Wayne went on to create many other great westerns throughout his career.</p>
<p><em>Wuthering Heights</em> was one of 1939&#8217;s more ambitious films. Many said that the story of doomed lovers was unfilmable.</p>
<p>Perhaps the best known film of 1939, <em>Gone with the Wind </em>certainly became producer David O. Selznick&#8217;s legacy. It is said that Selznick liked to make the big decisions himself, but when it came to <em>GWTW</em> he knew that casting Rhett Butler was out of his hands. He had to rely on MGM&#8217;s consent to loan out Clark Gable for the role. Selznick took a gamble in casting a relative unknown in Vivien Leigh. But that risk paid off in huge dividends.</p>
<p><em>GWTW </em>truly challenged the ideas of studio budget, size, running time, and censorship. Also, unlike other films of the time, women were really the focus even though it can also be considered a war film.</p>
<p>The momentum of the studios came to halt after Pearl Harbor when studio were forced to sell off their theater chains. Television then came to more available and 1939 was one of the last big producing years for these studios.</p>
<p>With all types of genres covered, stars that were already big box-office draws to unknowns that made their mark immediately onscreen, and films that appealed to all human emotions, 1939 was truly the apex of cinema history.</p>

Secondo alcune ricerche scentifiche, sembrerebbe che la panca abbia un&#8217;influenza molto negativa nei confronti delle capre. Purtroppo sembrerebbe che in alcuni esperimenti da laboratorio, dove sono state messe delle capre sotto una panca, esse dopo alcuni minuti hanno proceduto ad un suicidio di Massa. Ecco spiegato perché la capra può morire se messa sotto una panca&#8230;.. Quindi non mettete mai una capra sotto una panca&#8230;. Al massimo, mettetela sopra, per evitare problemi.</p>

<p>Nell&#8217;opera di Levi, tutto ciò che si legge, si vede, si ascolta, si immagina è<br />
&#8220;LUOGO DI ISPIRAZIONE.&#8221;</p>
<p>Dalla <strong>CAPRA</strong>, al <strong>CIMITERO</strong>, dai <strong>PEPERONI</strong> agli <strong>ESORCISMI</strong>, dal <strong>GABINETTO</strong> di porcellana ai briganti agli <strong>SPAZI INFINITI</strong> dei monti di lucania, Levi riesce a volare sull&#8217;intera regione, sulle sue valli aride, sui suoi fiumi lenti, sulle leggende dei briganti e sui fantasmi delle grotte, pur rimanendo ancorato alla terrazza della sua casa dalla quale poteva osservare il timbone della madonna degli angeli &#8220;come un osso di morto, la testa di un femore gigantesco&#8221;.<!--more--><br />
La corrispondenza tra luoghi raccontati e luoghi realmente esistenti è strettissima e attualissima al punto che, immergendosi negli ambienti lucani descritti da <strong>Levi</strong>, si stenta a credere che sia trascorso più di mezzo secolo senza che questi abbiano apparentemente subito trasformazioni o alterazioni.<br />
Le attuali terre, gli orizzonti, gli uomini e le capre hanno gli stessi colori, le stesse sfumature, gli stessi volti, gli stessi odori, le stesse espressioni di mistero che si rilevano nelle pagine del testo letterario.<br />
Apriamo oggi una finestra, una qualunque finestrina di legno sconquassato dall&#8217;interno di una delle molteplici dimore di pietra con ringhiere di ferro intrecciato di cui il paese è disseminato; osserviamo i <strong>panorami</strong>, i colori, <strong>i calanchi</strong>, le valli; sembreranno ancora quadri dipinti ispirati alle pagine del testo; nessuna presenza umana, nessun segno di vita, solo lande aride e desolate a perdita d&#8217;occhio estese fino agli orizzonti confusi con il cielo.<br />
Percorrendo oggi i vicoli di pietra del centro storico si scoprono quelle ancestrali tradizioni che miravano a respingere il malocchio attraverso le architetture delle facciate.<br />
Piccole finestre come occhi maligni sottolineati da sopracciglia aggrottate dall&#8217;ondulazione del castagno tarlato delle piattabande, sormontano archi immensi che trasmettono alle case l&#8217;espressione di un ghigno demoniaco.<br />
Scalinate di accesso che digrignano i denti fatti di scalini spezzati conferiscono alle abitazioni un&#8217;espressione grottesca e orrida che riporta al mondo misterioso dei mostri e delle mitiche creature della fantasia.<!--more--><br />
E&#8217; sufficiente aggirarsi per il piccolo e nudo centro storico del paese ed aprire a caso i catenacci che sprangano i portoni sbrindellati delle vecchie case contadine per trovarsi come d&#8217;incanto dentro alle pagine di Levi.<br />
Nulla è mutato, tutto è congelato e cristallizzato dalla polvere antica. I letti di ferro addossati alle pareti affumicate sembrano essere stati abbandonati ieri, in fretta perché il burrone stava minacciandoli.<br />
  Il paesaggio collinare che circonda Aliano è così suggestivo che si stenta a distaccarsene senza provare una forte nostalgia. E&#8217; dagli scritti di Levi che prenderà vita poco a poco una casa vuota, disabitata, così come appare oggi, inospitale, quasi ostile, così come egli la lasciò dopo la sua partenza Gli interventi di restauro della casa intendono renderla di nuovo visitabile ed accogliente attraverso un&#8217;intomissione discreta e delicata che non trasformi e non offenda quanto dal Levi osservato, studiato e commentato.<br />
Una casa per certi versi banale, ma che possiede quella magia che solo i luoghi entrati in un grande romanzo hanno la fortuna di trasmettere.<br />
