De fato, o Cinema Nacional alcançou um crescimento respeitável nos últimos anos. Com produções de boa qualidade feitos por excelentes profissionais, o mundo agora nos enxgera como mentes criativas do cinema.

Tanto, que cineastas de renome do cenário brasileiro, como Walter Salles, Fernando Meirelles e Carlos Saldanha estão entre os diretores mais conhecidos lá fora.

Entretanto, aqui no Brasil ainda falta dar o devido valor para esas produções, para esses profisionais. Entenda: Na última segunda-feira, dia 9 de novembro, aconteceu o dia do cinema nacional. Onde mais de 400 salas de cinema espalhadas pelo país exibiram longas do nosso cinema com o custo de R$ 2 cada ingresso. Hora, isso deve ser bom né? De certa forma, apenas.

Veja bem, segunda é um dia complicado para milhões de brasileiros para irem ao cinema, apesar do sucesso do dia, que teve um bom público, penso que seria muito mais víavel ter realizado tal programação em um fim de semana, mas acho que nossas políticas ainda imperam para dar “bilheteria” aos filmes estrangeiros apenas. Essa questão não é pra falar de qualidade de longa, porque toda sexta estréia um filme meia-boca vamos dizer do cinema feito da terra do Tio Sam.

Este texto, não é para questionar qual filme é melhor, se os nacionais que foram exibidos realmente valeriam a pena, mas trata-se de incentivar o nosso próprio cinema para crescer ainda mais. Certo, que não posso afirmar como este processo de escolha do dia ocorreu, se é um acordo entre rede de cinemas especificamente falando ou de salas disponíveis. Sei apenas, que este é mais um descaso com a cultura do nosso país. Temos tantos filmes para nos orgulhar quanto de outros países que já vimos. Amo o cinema em geral, não importa sua origem, mas ao mesmo tempo é preciso ter um bom senso, pois costumes do passado do início do cinema aqui no Brasil, onde tinha-se um cinema em que apenas 1 sala exibia filme nacional enquanto outras 9 de países diversos, parece continuar até os dias de hoje.

Este não é um discurso hipócrita ou revolucionário, é apenas de um observador que gostaria de entender o porquê de certos processos realizados por aqui.

A Era do Gelo foi a primeira proposta que a BlueSky (do Carlos Saldanha) recebeu para fazer um longa. Depois do sucesso do primeiro filme, eles também produziram Robôs e Horton e o Mundo dos Quem, mas foi com as continuações A Era do Gelo 2 e A Era do Gelo 3 que eles conquistaram seu lugar, juntamente com a Fox Filmes, entre os melhores estúdios da animação mundial.

É legal ver como os filmes conseguiram criar uma linha de personagens que já nos são familiares (assim como conseguiu o Shrek)! Quem não conhece o pequeno esquilo Scrat que passa o filme todo em busca de uma noz, ou a preguiça da língua presa Sid, ou o mamute grandalhão Manny?

O que mais gosto de ver nessa trilogia, é a evolução da qualidade dos efeitos visuais. No primeiro filme, o Manny parece ter um pêlo duro e malfeito, já no segundo e terceiro filmes podemos ver a evolução e aproximação de um pêlo verdadeiro do mamute.

Curiosidades:

O esquilo fez tanto sucesso com o primeiro filme, que no segundo e terceiro, a prioridade foi incorporar ele à história, e não deixá-lo em uma história paralela como no primeiro.

A Era do Gelo 3 superou a bilheteria de Titanic nos cinemas. É a 3º maior animação, atrás apenas de Shrek e Procurando Nemo.

Depois de Rodrigo Santoro, agora é a vez de Anne Hathaway negociar sua participação em um longa animado em 3D que será  dirigido por Carlos Saldanha ( o mesmo de a Era do Gelo 2 e 3).

A animação conta a história de uma arara que foge de um zoológico americano e vai para o Rio de Janeiro curtir uma praia. A produção deve chegar aos cinemas em abril de 2011. O elenco está em fase de contratação e não há nenhum nome 100% confirmado, além do próprio Saldanha.

De acordo com Jay Fernandez, em matéria publicada no JB Online, Anne Hathaway, Rodrigo Santoro e Neil Patrick Harri estão negociando participar com suas vozes em “Rio”, a próxima colaboração entre Blue Sky Studios, Fox Animation e o diretor brasileiro Carlos Saldanha, de “A Era do Gelo 3″, que faturou mais de 880 milhões de dólares em 2009 e, no Brasil, fez a maior bilheteria em muitos anos, com mais de 9,1 milhões de espectadores:

“Rio”, que acompanha as aventuras de um papagaio nerd que parte de sua gaiola numa cidadezinha do Minnesota para o Rio de Janeiro, tem lançamento programado para 8 de abril de 2011. Como “A Era do Gelo 3″, será filmado em animação digital 3D.

A produção será de Chris Jenkins (“Tá Dando Onda”) e Bruce Anderson (“Horton e o Mundo dos Quem”).

Die Eiszeit ist auch nicht mehr das, was sie mal war: Säbelzahntiger Diego steckt in einer tiefen Midlifecrisis und Mammutpaar Ellie und Manni erwarten Nachwuchs. Faultier Sid fühlt sich bei all dem Babytrubel einsam und sehnt sich nach einer eigenen Familie.

Der Zufall meint es gut mit ihm, denn als er zufällig ins Eis einbricht, findet er drei herrenlose Dinosauriereier und nimmt sich ihrer an. Doch die Tyrannosaurus-Rex-Mama der bald geschlüpften Dinosaurierbabys ist damit alles andere als einverstanden und verschleppt die ungebetene “Mama” Sid samt dem Nachwuchs in die Dschungelwelt unterm Eis, wo die Dinosaurier das Artensterben überlebt haben.

Sinopse:

Nesta terceira aventura, Scrat continua tentando agarrar a bolota fujona – e, no meio do caminho, pode encontrar seu grande amor; Manny e Ellie aguardam o nascimento de seu minimamute; Sid, a preguiça, cria a própria família, embora de faz-de-conta, ao desviar alguns ovos de dinossauro; e Diego, o tigre dentes-de-sabre, começa a se perguntar se a convivência com os amigos não o está deixando molenga demais. Sinossi

Il divertentissimo scoiattolo Scrat continua a cercare disperatamente la sua amata ghianda sfuggente e forse troverà anche il vero amore. Manny ed Ellie sono in attesa della nascita loro piccolo mammuth. Diego è stanco di essere trattato come un gattino e si domanda se forse non stia diventando troppo tranquillo. Sid comincia a desiderare una famiglia tutta sua e per questo decide di rubare delle uova di dinosauro, ma si mette nei guai… I suoi amici intraprenderanno una missione per soccorrerlo entrando in un misterioso mondo sotterraneo dove incontreranno dinosauri e conosceranno Buck, una donnola con un occhio solo costantemente alla caccia dei giganti della preistoria.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is the third of the Ice Age movies. It’s directed by Carlos Saldanha and stars the voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Simon Pegg and Denis Leary.

Plot:
Manny (Ray Romano) and Ellie (Queen Latifah) expect their first baby. Diego (Denis Leary) decides that he should be going back to his single ways. That leaves Sid (John Leguizamo) who starts to feel lonely. When he happens upon 3 eggs, he decides to be their mother. Unfortunately, those are dinosaur eggs, and Mummy Rex is not too happy to have lost them. So she tries to take them back and takes Sid with them. Manny, Ellie and Diego go after them and find an underground cave system, where the dinosaurs are still alive.

The Ice Age movies are one of the few series that were not planned as such who manage to not get worse with every sequel. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs was funny (for me and for kids) and very sweet, just like the first two. I saw it in 3D, which is always awesome, but therefore also in German. That means I won’t be able to say anything about the actors.

Actually, I don’t have that much to say about the movie itself. I just wanted to point out a few things.

First, I loved Buck (Simon Pegg). He was absolutely awesome and a great addition to the regular characters.

Second, as a child I loved The Land Before Time. There was a time when I read everything about dinosaurs that I could get my hands on (there’s probably not a child on this earth who hadn’t had this phase). Anyway, ever since the research suggested that dinosaurs were actually pretty colourful, I felt like I was kind of deprived by having unicolour dinosaurs in my childhood. But now, things are good. Dawn of the Dinosaurs hase beautiful, colourful dinosaurs and it’s glorious. It just was a special kind of … gratification, really, to be able to see that.

I know that might sound weird.

The third thing was Sid. Sid keeps refering to himself as the mother of the dinosaur babies. I have mixed feelings about this.

On the one hand, it was not really played for laughs. I mean, it was completely irrelevant that Sid is actually a guy. He just sees himself as the mother, whyever not? Which is kind of cool in the gender department.

On the other hand, why wouldn’t he be the father of the kids? It’s not like Sid sees himself as not male in any other department. But apparently, you can’t be a single father of three adopted children, so he has to be the mother. Which kind of sucks in the feminism department.

Of course, gender and feminism are not unrelated, quite to the contrary, but one way to look at it is the blurring of the, imo, much too rigid gender lines and another way is the emancipation of women.

Anyways, feministically speaking this movie is a general fail. But nevertheless it’s a nice watch.

Non è una legge universale, ma devo dire che quest’estate si è verificata per ben 3 volte con i film che più erano attesi da gran parte del pubblico che ama il genere animazione e fantasy. Il tutto conferma poi un’altra interessante legge, quella dei sequel: quasi mai belli come il primo film.

Parlo di: Transformers – La vendetta del caduto, Harry Potter e il Principe mezzosangue e infine L’era glaciale 3: L’alba dei dinosauri. Per Harry Potter addirittura un anno di attesa supplementare solo per meri calcoli di interessi e di vendite… coi i 30 trailer che erano giù uniti, praticamente si era già visto metà del film…

In ogni caso, ecco i giudizi del sottoscritto:

Le molte scene d’azione e combattimento, presenti fin dall’inizio, risultano fin da subito eccessive e frastornanti (specie al cinema, probabilmente da casa l’effetto è meno sgradevole), il finale piuttosto scontato (risorge il buono – Optimus Prime – che era stato ucciso e vengono così sconfitti i cattivi Decepticon che, non si sia ancora bene perché, vogliono distruggere la Terra… Eppure il loro scopo dovrebbe essere solo quello di potersi ancora riprodurre e dominare tutti i pianeti in cui c’è la possibilità di vita, perché distruggere? Mah…  ). Si salva il tema dell’amicizia e del sacrificio e della lotta per un bene superiore. Ma anche su questo punto il modo in cui viene ad intrecciarsi la storia amorosa tra  il giovane protagonista umano, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf)  e Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) è piuttosto di basso livello. Sembra che per i registi contasse di più far presa sul pubblico con qualche posa avvenente di Megan Fox piuttosto che sottolineare il vero valore del sacrificio…

Harry Potter e il Principe mezzosangue (regia: David Yates – Casa di produzione: Warner Bros)

Ai tagli rispetto al libro eravamo abituati ormai coi 2 precedenti episodi dello stesso registra. E pure a qualche esagerazione degli effetti speciali (ma trattandosi di magia, in questo caso ci può stare). Ma ad un taglio così drastico del combattimento finale di Hogwards i fan della Rowling non credo proprio fossero pronti. Ovviamente è stato enfatizzato molto il tema “love story” del film (presente anche nel libro ma non così marcato) e sui tanto famosi horcrux e sul passato di Lord Voldemort – così importanti nel settimo e ultimo episodio – si glissa parecchio.

La resa è complessivamente discreta, le due ore e mezza del film scorrono tutte d’un botto, ma da un film atteso più d’un anno si ci aspettava davvero un pizzico di magia in più.

Storia insipida.  Il nuovo personaggio (Buck) merita, ma poi il tema è monocorde e incentrato tutto sul rapporto di coppia, con alcune scene un po’ banali… Il povero Scratt (alle prese con una a dir poco cattiva e diabolica Scrattina) resta un personaggio unico.   Non ho usufruito della visione 3D, ma amici dicono che solo per alcune scene la resa è stata d’effetto, ma per il resto è stato bene non averlo e risparmiare sul prezzo del biglietto.

  Il migliore della saga resta indubbiamente il primo film.

Benvenuti al “Jurassic Park” dell’Era Glaciale: nel terzo episodio della saga prodotta dagli studi Blue Sky, inno all’amicizia “interrazziale” e commedia slapstick amata da grandi e piccini, i nostri eroi devono fare i conti con la rottura degli equilibri del gruppo e con la scoperta di un “mondo perduto” popolato di specie ritenute estinte, tra cui appunto i dinosauri del titolo. La verve iniziale del franchise si va un po’ perdendo, ma il film resta comunque godibile e divertente soprattutto per due motivi: il maggior spazio concesso allo scoiattolo-cult Scrat, qui protagonista di intermezzi romantici che diventano quasi un film nel film, e l’introduzione di un nuovo personaggio, l’allucinato furetto Buck, sorta di incrocio tra un reduce di guerra impazzito e un Capitano Achab ossessionato dal suo nemico, protagonista indiscusso dei momenti migliori della pellicola.

O sucesso da animação “A Era do Gelo” não é nenhuma novidade. É nesse primeiro filme que “o bando” é formado. Manfred, o mamute emburrado, salva a vida da preguiça Sid que estava prestes a ser devorado. Eis que se deparam com o bebê “Rosinha”, alvo da cobiça do bando de tigres do qual Diego faz parte. Assim, a história já pode começar.

Sid foi ”esquecido” por sua família que foi rumo ao sul. E, como vai ser dito no segundo filme, ele vai ser a peça-chave, o responsável, por manter o grupo unido. Com seu jeito desligado, embora bastante esperto, ele é o sentimental que não se importa de mostrar seu jeito. É por sua causa que o mal humorado Manfred (apelidado por ele de Manny) embarca na aventura de devolver o bebê perdido.

Manny vivia feliz com sua família até a chegada de humanos que mataram seu pai. Com problemas de auto-estima, ele vaga solitário até encontrar Sid. É por baixo de todo aquele “pêlo que faz volume” que se esconde a verdadeira face daquele mamute: ele é puro sentimento.

O mesmo acontece com Diego. Para um tigre, é natural uma certa ferosidade, um ar ácido. E isso ele tem de sobra. Dentro de uma espécie onde é cada um por si, a primeira prova de amizade faz com que ele comece a repensar. É assim que ele se junta ao bando e vai contra seus iguais.

No primeiro filme, o trio tão diferente sai em busca dos humanos que perderam o bebê. Enquanto Manny e Sid querem devolvê-lo e precisam da ajuda de Diego para guiá-los, o tigre está levando-os para uma emboscada. Entre trapalhadas da preguiça tentando arrumar uma fêmea e planos com os tigres, eles passam por cavernas de gelo e pinturas rupestres (na qual Sid resolve “colocar as preguiças na história”). E, claro, vez ou outra a história deles se cruza com… Scrat!

Scrat, o esquilo obcecado.

Scrat é o esquilo obcecado por avelãs. Durante toda a saga é possível vê-lo tentando resgatar suas avelãs e se metendo em problemas. Ele é o típico coadjuvante que rouba a cena.

Passadas provas de amizade, tendo atigindo seus objetivos, o bando está formado. E nada é capaz de mudar isso!

Desde o primeiro filme, “A Era do Gelo” tenta ensinar às pessoas (e não necessariamente às crianças) valores como amizade, companheirismo, a importancia da família. Como a grande maioria dos filmes “infantis”, esse é mais um filme para adultos, disfarçado.   Os desenhos, a história, as gracinhas, são feitas para as crianças, mas o sentido real de tudo isso só um adulto para compreender. E, pode ter certeza, cada vez que você assistir vai encontrar um significado novo para alguma coisa que não tinha nem percebido antes.

The Film

Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is a computer-animated film, and the third installment of the Ice Age series. It is written by Michael Berg, Peter Ackerman, Mike Reiss, and Yoni Brenner; and directed by Carlos Saldanha, with Michael Thurmeier as co-director.

The Story

The film opens with Scrat (Chris Wedge), the familiar male saber-toothed squirrel in the previous two films, sniffing his way, looking for the precious acorn he had been running after since the beginning, when he came into a female saber-toothed squirrel Scratte (Karen Disher) who danced around with the ever-evasive acorn. A pulling contest ensues with Scrat getting the prize. But his sweet victory stops when he hears her crying for the lost acorn. Scrat gets smitten with her. And his softerned heart gets the better of him as he gives back the acorn to her. But her excessivepull on the acorn throws her off to the ravine to a sure death, leaving Scrat still holding the thing. With an impulse to save her, Scrat jumped into the ravine with the acorn in his hand to cushion him and Scratte from the fall. But at the middle of the drop, the wily Scratte snatches the acorn, and flew away (revealing herself as a flying squirrel), leaving Scrat to fall to his death. He didn’t die of course.

Meanwhile, Ellie (Queen Latifah) and Manny (Ray Romano), the woolly mammoth couple, except their first child while Diego, the Smilodon (Denis Leary), finds out the limits of his age when he failed to catch a gazelle who later taunted him. Facing self-doubts, Diego decides to leave the herd. Around the same time, Sid (John Leguizamo), the Sloth, finds three apparently abandoned eggs in an icy underground cavern. Despite Manny’s objection, he looks after the eggs, which hatch into Tyrannosaurus babies. He tries his best to raise them despite their threatening behavior that scares away the other young animals in the playground. It also destroys accidentally the plaything that Manny built for his upcoming baby.

When Momma, the mother Tyrannosaurus, comes looking for her young, Sid stubbornly stands the ground against Manny’s advice to let go of the three Tyrannosaurus babies. Consequently, the mother Tyrannosaurus takes Sid too, with Diego in pursuit. Manny, Ellie, and the opposums Crash (Sean William Scott) and Eddie (john Peck) follow as well.

The herd discovered an icy cavern that leads to a vast jungle populated by dinosaurs thought to be extinct. Here they meet a one-eyed, insanely-wise, weasel, named Buck (Simon Pegg) who has been living in this jungle and is chasing Rudy, a huge white Baryonyx, who took away his eye. Buck agrees to lead the herd through the jungle’s perils to Lava Falls where Momma has taken Sid and her babies.

Meanwhile, Sid and Momma are outdoing each other in feeding the offspring, with Sid losing the contest. They nonetheless welcomed him into the family. The following day, Sid gets separated from the family and Rudy attacks him. Sid gets knocked onto a loose rock slab that floats on the river of lava and about to plummet over the falls.

As the herd moves toward Lava Falls, Ellie goes into labor and a Dilong pack strikes, causing a rock to slide and separate her from Manny and Diego. Manny scrambled to protect her while Diego fends off further attacks. Buck takes Crash and Eddie ahead to rescue Sid. And just as Sid goes over the falls, the trio swoops in on a Pteranodon and saves his life. Sid is saddened for not having the chance to say goodbye to “his” children as he returns to the herd. In the  meantime, Manny reaches Ellie as she gives birth to a baby girl, which Ellie named Peaches.

Before they can exist the jungle, Rudy attacks at full force. Buck lures Rudy away from the group and is nearly eaten until Diego saves him at the last moment. Luckily, Momma arrives, who charges at Rudy and knocks him off the cliff.

As Momma and her children wish Sid well, Buck decides to join the herd to live in the surface, having lost his purpose in life with the death of Rudy. However, a distant roar indicating that Rudy is still alive changed Rudy’s mind. As the heard left, Buck sealed off the path to the underground jungle. Diego decides to stay with the herd, while Buck stays behind to battle it out with Rudy.

While all these happen, Scrat manages to save Scratte from falling to her death in the lava river while she is unconscious. The two fell in love and Scrat starts to lose his attention on the acorn. Near the end of the film, he tires of her finicky nature and reverts to his old obsession, and runs after the acorn about to fall into oblivion. With Scratte jeaouls over the acorn, a fight ensues causing a volcanic explosion under them that hurls Scrat and the acorn back to the surface, leaving Scratte trapped underground. As Scrat dances around in joy on having the acorn at last, and tauntingly raised it through the opening to show off to Scratte, a stray piece of ice falls on his hand, knocking off the acorn and back into Scratte’s hand and sealing the underground opening.

The film ends with Scrat screaming in frustration for having lost both his “love” and his acorn.

The Review

Ice Age 3: Age of the Dinosaurs is a sensitive, hilarious, animated adventure that explores the values of friendship and family all in the context of love and danger. It also managed to inject the instability of infatuation. Children and adults will find profound ideas for personal use. Here are a few of these ideas:

Friendship brings stability in relationships. Four characters are facing changing developments in their lives–Scrat finds his love interest as well as his ever-obsessing acorn; Diego discovers the limits of his physical power; Sid uncovers a new role of being an adopting parent, and; the mammoth couple (Manny and Ellie) is expecting a baby. Scrat goes through this development alone while the other characters are friends. Diego however loses heart for what he sees as a loss in himself while his friends gain something fir themselves. Diego decides to let go of his friends. Sid insists he is right and his friends are not. Manny and Ellie stay as stabling nucleus of the herd’s friendship despite the unsettling changes around them. A threat to the life of their friend Sid put them back together. Scrat however failed to gain a friend, and even lost his obsessed acorn.

Danger can refocus life from the problems to solutions. Diego’s self-pity and depression lifts up when he sees that Sid is in danger. He forgets his own problems and raced after Momma to save Sid.

A creature almost always hungers for a family. A similar thread runs through the separate lives of the characters is their hunger for their own family, and apart from a group of friends. Diego, amidst his age-related struggles, finds an emptiness that cannot be filled by his own friends. Sid sticks to create his “own” family against the advice of his friend Manny. Manny and Ellie look forward towards having their own child. And Scrat somehow dreams of starting a relationship. 

Infatuation falls in as fast as it falls out. Romantic feelings may excite imaginations and gear up emotions but between people who thinks only of their personal interests it is too fragile to develop into genuine love at times. And that what happens between Scrat and Scratte in this film. Scrat’s obsession with the acorn makes it hard for him to reign in his focus from the acorn to Scratte. Scratte’s manipulative and possessive nature creates a behavior that Scrat cannot tolerate for long. And both ended up on their own and alone–Scratte losing Scrat and certainly her life; and Scrat losing the acorn and a female of her kind that could have become a loving partner.

Even “crazy” people have something wise to say. THe herd considered Buck a crazy weasel from teh first time they met. So much for first impression then. And yet despite that “craziness” his ideas make them pull through the dangers before them in the dinosaur jungle.But when they start believing in him, they discover that this “crazy” creature too can be a good friend. 

This rich and fecund tale, told in an atmosphere of fun and adventure. Apparently, life can be enjoyed and lived to the full and be learned from at the same time. 

But its downside is something that parents and concerned adults nee to do something about explaining fact from fiction to the kids.

The Scrat-Scratte romance. This romantic tool is age-inappropriate for romanticizing love. Most viewers of these movies are kids even younger than graders. Even among high school students, most especailly in cultures not as sexually permissive as the United States, the romantic interlude can misguide these age levels into thinking that romance is what love is. This distorted view on love has lots of young victims since the age of fairy tales, and will lead teenagers today to problematci relationships later on simply because real life and genuine love is no romance at all. This sort of fairy-tale-izing the movie can make for starry eyed kids and youtsh athat are only to be disillusioned when reality inrudes inthat fantasized world as they grow older.

The Verdict

Ice Age 3: Age of the Dinosaurs is a funny animated tale with a good story to tell. Scrat though has ceased to be as funny as he used to be in the previous two Ice Age movies. But Sid remained characteristically winsome and hilarioius (e.g., drawing a face on the three Dino eggs!) and sensitive (trying to be a playful parent to the little dinosaurs). Crash and Eddie too have their funny-torious acts. And Buck, too.

The movie is great for family viewing and somehow safe for conscientious Christians but the Scrat-Scratte affair my need clear explaining form adults. Surely, tere are lots of funny scenes to laugh about. Surely, there are lots of funny scenes to laugh about.

Peale korralikku sportliku vägivalla annust tuli kiirelt leida midagi tasakaaluks ja selleks sobib Scrat ideaalselt. Ega jah, selle tegelase pärast on kõik Ice Age osad ära vaadatud kohe peale ilmumist ja ka lühifilmid “Gone Nutty” ning “No Time for Nuts”. Ice Age 3 on kõlbulik meelelahutus, mistõttu kassaedu on kaunis loogiline, kuid võrreldes eelmiste osadega tundub 2009a väljalase pehmem ja lapsikum. Kõik toimib, uus karakter Buck Simon Peggi poolt antud häälega (kes mäletab Inglise sketšisarja Big Train?) sulandub bioloogiliselt ajuvabasse kampa suurepäraselt.

Hell, isegi dinosaurused võivad olla ja mageda dialoogiga mammutid kannatan välja, peaasi, et Scrat ekraanile tagasi tuleb. Olgu või uues romantilises rollis emase lendoravaga paaripanduna. Lõpuks juhtub ju ikka see, mis juhtuma peab ja Scrat on kõriauguni jamas. Sweet.

Parece que están decididos a decepcionarme últimamente cuando voy al cine, primero fue con la última película de Harry Potter y ahora, con la tercera entrega de Ice Age. La primera de las películas fue todo un descubrimiento de lo más entretenido, la segunda, aunque bajo algo el listón, se mantuvo a buen nivel de entretenimiento y risas, pero con esta tercera… otro cantar totalmente distinto. Al igual que con Shreck, han querido exprimir tanto la franquicia que la han dejado seca.

Los primeros minutos de la película se mantiene como en el resto, chistes entre personajes, diálogos entretenidos y gags al más puro estilo Tom & Jerry. Todo esto desaparece en cuanto entran en el nuevo mundo, la película baja en calidad totalmente y tan sólo hay pequeños detalles de calidad en los diálogos subrealistas de Buck, un nuevo personaje, o en la ardilla Scratch.

Sid y sus "tres hijos"

Con esto llegamos a otro de los puntos que esta tercera parte ha conseguido secar, la ardilla Scratch que en las dos anteriores sagas y en los cortos se convirtió en el ídolo de las masas en esta última película acaba por cansar y saturar, sobre todo con esa historia de amor divertida al principio y más que empalagosa al final.

Quizá lo peor de la película sea el guión un tanto absurdo y sin ninguna historia realmente de peso, no hay un objetivo claro, simplemente ir en rescate de un amigo que queda un poco pobre. Lo mejor sin lugar a duda es el diseño de los dinosaurios que está muy lograda y desde luego podrán aprovechar para hacer miles de muñequitos (se nota que piensan en todo), aunque ya puestos a hacerlo bien podrían haberse informado un poco ya que varios de los “dinos” que aparecen como carnivoros en realidad son hervíboros, y lo más sorprendente son los tamaños que más que descomunales son hiperdescontrolados. Algunos ejemplos fáciles de comparar, un mamut mide cinco metros aproximada mente, un t-rex unos quince, por tanto el t-rex es tres veces más grandes que el mamut. En la película el mamut le llega como mucho a la rodilla al t-rex, lo que lo lleva a un tamaño de casi treinta metros… casí nada.
