It was love at first sight! I will never forget the day I tested it, just by chance. The sprayed area on my arm kept its base fragrance on for quite a long time.
What I admire in this 212 is that I like all its fazes, from the first moments, the top note and also the base. IMO its is an urban/wood/floral type of scent.
I love its touch of mosque, somehow floral, not hard at all.
I was so sad when all CH fragrances disappeared from Sephora, the Bay and other Canadian dealers.
I really don’t know what happened.

While the blending of orange blossom and jasmine is luscious, this fragrance is a bit heavy for me. Perhaps I erred in buying the eau de parfum and should have purchased the eau de toilette. I’ve read that about three-fourths of eau de parfum is lost after several hours. That’s not been my experience with Carolina Herrera. In fact, the aroma is still in the crook of my elbows until I wash it off, and it’s as if I had just applied it. For many that may be a major attribute.

However, my preference is for a much lighter scent – sort of a “barely there.” While this fragrance is lovely, I wouldn’t recommend wearing it to a concert or any place where you’ll be in close quarters with others who may not want to enjoy your wonderful aroma.

If your plans are for an evening in some secluded spot with a special someone – enjoy!

I was very disappointed that I received the Carolina Herrera parfum in the box with the gold dots. I thought I was purchasing the parfum that comes in the box with the black dots like in the picture. I have been hunting it in stores and I was so excited that I had found it. Although I like both types of parfum, I prefer the scent that comes in the box with the black dots. I emailed their customer service about it and requested what I am looking for, but I have not heard back from them. The picture is deceptive because they did not send the right parfum.

wouldn’t this make for a stunning wedding gown? just re-imagine it with white as the dominant colour, still keeping the fully-saturated peacock train in the back. (the colours of which, if you are curious, are titled: mulberry, lava red, indigo, custard creme, and celadon.)

This perfume is currently my favorite, and its status will not change for a while. I love this perfume so so so much! It smells very feminine and fun. I spray it mostly on my neck and my hair as well. The smell lingers and lasts for a pretty long time. It has the attractive floral scent in its middle and end notes. The design of the bottle is also great. Some people say that it doesn’t stand that well. You just have to push it in into place for it to stay. I definitely recommend this perfume!

“Trendy” is not a word typically used to describe Carolina Herrera.  The mother-daughter designers maintain red carpet presence by consistently reinterpreting old hollywood glamour.  Oscar attendees will no doubt love the luxe textured fabrics and one-shoulder gowns in this seasons collection.  It’s no surprise that partnered with the runway looks is classic beauty makeup.  But, look closely.  See the copper eye shadow instead of brown?  Notice the flecks of shimmer in the lip gloss?  The metallic trend is subtly present.  Maybe not “trendy”, but certainly relevant for fall/winter 2009.
