A man can legally marry a video game character in Japan….and there is actually a real live man, that wants to marry one!!!

The man who calls himself SAL9000 is set to marry his virtual girlfriend from a video game called Love Plus this weekend.

Sal9000 marries video game character...attempt to set world record for masturbation

CNN reports that…SAL9000 fell in love with one of the virtual girls named Nene Anegasaki and decided to marry her and take her on a honeymoon to Guam.

Since the girl doesn’t really exist, that meant he took his Nintendo DS to Guam.

Sal9000 plans on holding a public wedding and reception this weekend in Tokyo in a bid to become the worlds most committed masturbator ever, and by the looks of things, he is well on his way to securing that dubious distinction.

He is set to make a world’s record run at simulated sex with a simulated virtually un-real woman…now his wife.

BoingBoing has the details on the ceremony, which was broadcast live on the Japanese site Nico Nico Douga.

BoingBoing notes that the ceremony included an MC, deejay, and a priest. It kicked off with a sideshow of photos highlighting the bride and groom’s “special moments together.”

The groom, who calls himself “SAL 9000″, reportedly had a string of anime girlfriends before Nene.

I imagine if you can marry a fake wife, then you can only suffer the threat of a fake divorce…and you ensure the fact that you will never get her pregnant, if that is any consolation.

Sal9ooo met his fiance while playing the virtual reality game called Love Plus which is a little different type of dating simulations game;Love Plus requires players to take out the virtual girl on dates, buy her gifts and make their girlfriends happy like they would in real life.

I don’t get it,…if you have to do all of that, why not just go out and get a real live women. You will put in the same amount of work, but you have the added benefit of being able to feel and touch a real woman.

I am confused…maybe I am just old-fashioned.

The player can increase their abilities by studying, working out and solving problems of their virtual girlfriend, but if they fail to make their girlfriend happy, the game will restart after 100 days.

I am pretty sure that falling in love with and marrying your video game girlfriend is a sign of some sort of mental illness, and I do not mean to make light of it.

Hopefully his friends and associates will get him some help,…in the meantime he should unplug, go out to a club, and try to pick up some real women.

…Step Away From the Video Game…I know there are plenty of real women in Tokyo for you to get with,..I seen them!!!

One approach is to load teaching materials and instruments on a rolling cart that serves as a base of operations.

Seven Atlanta-area music teachers contributed to Music la Cart , a 71-page paperback guide to set-up, management, and delivery of your cart-based music lessons in schools where there is no music classroom.

In addition, Karen Stafford’s “Music Education Madness” website has a page full of ideas and suggestions for people who work this way.

You don’t have the time or the resources to evaluate every applicant who strolls in. to guide your w

You don’t have the time or the resources to evaluate every applicant who strolls in. to guide your work, you should develop a profile of your “ideal” candidate. You may never find your ideal, but you will establish a basic framework that outlines the person you are looking for.

Developing an ideal candidate profile is similar to viewing a lineup of suspects after you’ve witnessed a bank robbery. The individual you pick out may not be the actual bank robber, but chances are the real criminal is strongly similar. Often, a lineup helps police establish the silhouette or basic framework of the person being sought. The police is clear even if the details are not. Likewise, your ideal candidate profile will give you a sharper idea of what you are really looking for, so that you can increase your odds of finding him or her.

Use the following outline to develop of profile of your ideal candidate:

Must have, or have done, or be able to do:

Experience: type and years

Industry: type, or specific companies, and years

Skills or talents

Education

Should have, or have done, or be able to do:

Experience: type and years

Industry: type, or specific companies, and years

Education

Would be nice to have, or have done, or be able to do:

Experience: type and years

Industry: type, or specific companies, and years

Skills or talents

Education

Be specific when you draft your outline. If you want someone with strong follow-up skills, say so. If you want an assertive person who can handle high stress, say so. To create a good match between job and candidate, you need to define the person as closely as you define the job.

Keep your company culture in mind, too. If your company is team-oriented and flexible, you want a candidate who is comfortable with teamwork—and not everyone is. If your department is highly structured, you want someone who works well in a structured situation. Describe the qualities that your company values so that you can find compatible candidates.

Just remember that defining the candidate is a lot like shopping for groceries: the more you toss into your shopping cart, the more you’ll pay. The cost of filling a job is influenced by two factors: how long it takes to find the candidate, and the supply of qualified candidates. The greater the number of must have items on your list, the longer it’s going to take to find that person. The greater the experience, skills, or education requirements, the smaller the supply of candidates and the larger the compensation package required to hire the person.

Period: oko 1500 godine pre nove ere (Srednje Bronzano Doba)

Kultura: Žutobrdska kultura

Ovaj divan primerak minijaturnih kolica (bornih kola) od terakote otkriven je, zajedno sa još jednim primerkom, početkom 20. veka u Banatu, u mestu Dupljaja. Jedna kola imaju dva točka a druga tri.

Age: aprox. 1500 BC (Late Bronze)

Culture: Žuto Brdo – Gârla Mare

This beautiful piece, seem to be discovered into a tomb, together with another piece, which represent two miniaturistic carts (war chariots): one with two wheels and other with three.

In the center of the chariot with two wheels, it is a anthropomorphic male statue, with a bird-head. On this bird, up, it’s an incision which represent two symbol of swastika (in left is a right-facing swastika and in the right place is a left-facing swastika).

Between them are two spirals, and in the front of them, in opposite side, in vertical direction, are two little circles.

Another left-facing swastika it’s at the base of abdomen.

Some historians think that this piece represent Hyperborean Apollo, which it’s the eternal Sun. These presumptions start because of the old legend which tell us that Apollo travel to Hyperborea into a chariot pulled by swans (you can observe that at the war chariot with three wheels).

Serbian historian Trbuhovic think that this miniaturistic chariot it’s used for practicing at a uranian and solar ritual, or for invocation of rain, because the noisiness from the chariot it’s like the noise of thunder.

Other hypothesis inform us that this war-chariot it could represent a vehicle for transportation to the otherworld, from the Sky. As examples you can see the chariot of Thor, drawn by two goats “Toothgnasher” and “Toothgrinder” or the chariot of Perun, which become Saint Elias at Christians.

The faces of birds could represent the soul of the deceased.

~

“You are going to love this sauce”

-Counter woman at Fernando’s Mundo Fiesta, referring to the Vegan Caesar wrap.

Fernando’s is another cart in Portland that you walk by one day, and notice there’s a big “VEGAN FRIENDLY” sign sitting outside. You thank the vocal vegans who have stopped by, or the considerate management, or both, and commence browsing their menu.

In the middle of the growing PSU area cart lot on SW 4th between College and Hall, Fernando’s beckons with their colorful signage, extensive, prominent menu, and on-the-go college student type meals. Like many other carts on this strip, Fernando’s has a small covered deck where you place your order, and step back on the sidewalk into the drizzle to wait. Their long menu, which is posted all around the counter window and on the deck, includes vegan options for salads, wraps, burritos, and there has been a vegan special featured on both of my visits.

I’ve tried the Vegan Caesar ($5) and the Vegan Tequila ($5.50) wraps. Both of these meals had the following in common:

The fillings were slick, no thanks to the oily dressings.

I had to hunt for the precious few pieces of tofu in each wrap. Slimy but decent, nopal cactus dominated the Caesar wrap; while equally slippery hearts of palm took over the Tequila. I counted maybe four miniature rectangles of tofu in the Tequila wrap.

Incredibly nice customer service from the counter woman taking and delivering orders.

Super quick service: receiving both wraps within mere minutes. If I was rushing between classes, I would not forget this.

Dry, but flexible tortillas.

The housemade Vegan Caesar dressing was flavorful, but it wasn’t creamy. I didn’t love it- I’m sorry, counter woman! It was gritty, perhaps there were nuts involved, and again, oily, like it could use some more time in a blender. Regardless, it did make things interesting in the wrap of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, long pieces of green cactus (which always reminds me of a soft, sour bell pepper) and those few pieces of tofu. I liked the tang of the homemade Caesar, but the situation was alarmingly oily.

The Vegan Tequila wrap was a special of the day with the addition of hearts of palm; it’s on the regular menu with the bonus of meat or tofu, without the palm. It sounded exciting, with corn, spiced black beans, and their tequila sauce, but this one didn’t hold my interest at all. It was as if I had poured a little bit of black bean salsa into my wrap, and threw in a can of hearts of palm. I didn’t taste any tequila in this second oily sauce, or really any other flavor. I was a tragic incident of a wrap and I gave up with over half to go.

So should you go here at all? Keep it in mind if you’re frantically requiring a quick vegan meal in the PSU area to go, refuse to step into Chipotle and don’t have the patience to wait for a fantastic box from Asaase Ital around the corner. But realistically, particularly after reading about this reviewer’s experiences, are you interested? In a city full of vegan burritos and wraps, I don’t want to eat something I’m not enthusiastic for. There’s potential, and a considerate, friendly welcoming to vegans, but the cart doesn’t deliver on the quality.

If I found myself short on time and around this cart row, I’d half consider a Vegan Caesar salad with the dressing requested on the side, but there are other options that would leap into my head first: calling ahead at aforementioned Asaase Ital, Basha’s, Food for Thought, Hot Lips foccacia slices, and hopefully, coming very soon –the all vegetarian Valhalla moving to the neighborhood, to name a few.

Once again, my apologies to the sweet counter woman.

Yesterday I was working the two hundo (CRJ-200), which I hate because I’m so incredibly lazy and don’t enjoy working by myself. It had been a while since I’d had to work by myself for a complete 12 hours (I know, I’m needy), and I guess I left my A-game at security so it’s a good thing that I perform at such a consistently high level that my B-game leaves nothing to be desired.

When we do our beverage service we put a drawer on top of the drink cart; this drawer holds the coffee, water, cups, and just about everything else needed for the service that isn’t in can or cube form. This drawer goes on top of a little dinky sliding shelf to give us room to pour drinks and perform the service efficiently. So I’m at the first row and I notice that the shelf is not pushed completely out denying me all the space I need to work. To remedy this I push the shelf out more, not thinking I have a freshly brewed, piping hot pot of coffee sitting on top.

As soon as the shelf moves to its farthest point, the coffee comes sloshing up out of the pot and gets all over the cart, the cream, the sugar, the cups, the water, the napkins, and . . .

The passengers. Aww, shucks! Don’t I feel like a schmuck. Thankfully, most of the damage was limited to the cart, with 1C and 2C sustaining only a sprinkling of Joe. 1C was wearing a fancy North Face waterproof jacket so he was OK, and 2C was wearing shorts (Really? It’s November, and you’re an adult. Shorts? Get real.) and a short sleeve shirt. When I asked if I got any on him, he responds with, “Whatever it was, it was hot.” I couldn’t laugh since I had just made a rookie mistake (I’m a check flight attendant, folks. I’m better than that), so instead I apologized profusely to them both. As I’m serving 1A his ginger ale, 1C comes back for more and leans forward. My hand brushes the top of his head causing me to nearly spill another beverage on him. Thankfully he was bald so my hand glided smoothly over the top; had his noggin not been so silky smooth (seriously, like a baby’s behind) it would have been a disaster of epic proportions.

I guess I’m pretty lucky that these guys didn’t flip since most passengers are batshit crazy these days. It was of course an honest mistake on my part, and had it happened to me it would be a complete non-issue. Thankfully, that’s how it was with these guys. 1C didn’t even expect me to comp his Pringles when he asked for them. Maybe I’m just cynical, but I honestly expect the worst from passengers when something goes slightly wrong. Maybe one day I will have to regulate on some bustas.

….is what our just-returned SEMA-attending staff member contacted me to say just a while ago.

It sounds like there is a lot of interesting information for us to discuss, but since the staff member also brought back a souvenir from the S&Company CEO (a terrible cold!), we decided to save that for another day.

* Dear S&C, on behalf of our staff, thanks for the gift… But don’t worry about including my share.

Also, I’m sad that our staff didn’t get a chance to meet Mr. Ben to thank him for including us on his blog all the time.

And thanks to so many more people who were at the SEMA Show. I hope our staff was well-enough behaved at night?

Okay, back to talking about Japan…

The other day, I wasn’t able to go cheering at the Fuji Speedway. A F430 with our racing wing installed placed first in the preliminaries for CCJ (Club Challenge Japan) race. Here we took the liberty of recording a video of the driver in his pink “Mr. Yuu” F430 Challenge…. Please take a look.

Too bad about that startup miss… But you’re really improving, Mr. Yuu! I hope to see you become the season champion next year!

And today’s car that I like is…… Does anyone recognize it?

The answer: The long awaited street legal EV Racecart!!!

It’s going to be on sale in 2010 in the 25,000 USD range!!!

Specs:

2490 mm

Width: 1298 mm

Height: 1090 mm

Weight: 236 kilograms

Passengers: 1 person

Lithium-Polymer Battery Max Output: 0.59 kW

Top Speed: 75km/hour

Range: 80km

Charge Time: 8 hours

But you can only run it for about 1-2 hours…!?

(Note: yeah, I know 1 and 2 hours is completely different)

With this car as a base it would be really interesting to try an FRP body. Maybe we at ASI could do a Bentley or Ferrari look for it!?

I’m dreaming again today, as you can see. Anyway, Adios!

PAZHANI Each region in India has its own favourite god. Uttar Pradesh has Ram, Maharashtra has Ganes

PAZHANI
Each region in India has its own favourite god. Uttar Pradesh has Ram, Maharashtra has Ganesh, Andhra Pradesh has Balaji(Sreenivasan) and Tamilnadu has Pazhani Andavan(God), my namesake. As a name for children, both of us disliked it, without any reason. Taditionally, my son should have been given this name, being my father’s name; instead, we called him Sudhir.
One night my wife forgot to swith off the water pump. When she woke up at midnight, she asked me to chech it. By then, mud had entered the pipe and it had stopped, though motor was still alive. Wife thought of atonement by a visit to the famous temple, on the hill to at Pazhani.
There is a metre guage train from Palakad town to Pazhani, spelt Palani in their language. We, including Sudhir and my niece Usha, got out of the railway station, when we were greeted by the tongawallah: come, I shall take you to a hotel. As I was totally a stranger to the place, we got into the horse drawn cart and, in five minutes, we reached the town.
Don’t you want to do pal abhishekam?; the fellow seemed eager to please us.
Go to Pazhani and not wash the deity with milk ? It is like going to a barber, chitchat and come back without hair cut. (In the village, many people do it). So he took us to a milk shop, where Rs. seventy five was paid for ten litres of milk. That evening, we went round the town; dirty, narrow streets, unclean people, children in rags and plenty of tongas. The majestic hill with lights can be seen, but not the temple.
The next morning the same tongawallah, took us to the same milk shop. A huge brass vessel, containing milk was ready. How shall we carry it up the hill? No worry; a maid was ready at hand. Give her just Rs. 25, that is all. So we followed her, climbing thousands of well concreted step, two lane, and when we reached the entrance to the temple, we saw a long que.
Do not worry; I shall take you direct to the sanctum, give only Rs. ten, so we paid it and followed her. When we reached the sanctum by a short cut, the milk can and materials for pooja, like sandal sticks, coconut etc. were handed over to the poojary, not a brahmin, some other middle caste, and we went for Darshan and prayers, as direced by the maid, who promised to see us after half an hour.
The view from the top is worth all th trouble. Beng a single rock projecting above a vast plain, we can see the country side in all directions, as from an airoplane. Kodaikanal hills, a tourist spot with lake etc. could be seen in the horizon. In the night, the sky lit with stars is a real treat.
The golden chariot made at that time, is small of course, but cute! There is a large crowd when it is taken out from the cage, where it is safely kept. The temple itself is just ordinary. Tamilnadu is a land of thousands of grand temples, never damaged through the course of history, as invaders had had enough in the north.
When we met the maid again, she gave us each a mouthful of milk, the left over after pouring over the deity of Lord Subramanian, as is customary. The whole drama is to cheat the unsuspecting devotees. There was not a single drop of milk in the can! Near the temple we saw the notice: Rs. ten for milk abhishekam.
We saw people burning a piece of camphor on each step as a tribute to the Lord. During our next visit there, with Kishan, our common nephew, he and mysef, to give him compahy, had our heads shaven and photographed. That time we used the electic trolley, to climb up and down.

The Limp Noodle cart has relocated to the corner of 3rd and SW Ash, next to Rick’s Wild Seafood (they don’t have any vegan options, well, maybe the drinks) and the Ninja Cart. The move came after a summer of traveling to serving festival patrons. The bright red box of a cart reads “Italian Pasta” and “The Limp Noodle” , with a cute dancing ravioli.

The menu is simple – meatball subs, spaghetti with marinara, spaghetti with meatballs, and ravioli, but only one vegan option - spaghetti with marinara. The cart is very clean inside, which must be easy since most the food is prepackaged. You won’t find fresh made pasta here. You will find quick lunch food for a great price. Every time I’ve eaten here I’ve never waited longer than 5 minutes. 5 minutes for $5.

The egg-free, packaged spaghetti (no other pasta shapes are offered) is cooked to order and coated with a simmering cart-made marinara. The noodles are not served al dente as I would have expected, but cooked perfectly through without being too hard or soft. They’ve got it down to the T here. I was surprised to find that even after a 5 minute walk back to the office the noodles were still not overcooked or mushy at that point, but still perfectly firm and tender. The sauce is medium in chunkiness and overall fairly mild with garlic undertones. The sheen of olive oil on the sauce was a bit unnerving but did help to transfer the great tomato taste to each of my taste buds. The Limp Noodle could take a page from Yarp?! and provide a shaker of nutritional yeast to add some flavor and attract some vegans.

The dish comes with a complementary piece of focaccia and a small side of olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. The bread is from the wonderful Pearl Street Bakery a few blocks away. Fortunately, the bread is vegan, and perfectly fluffy and firm with a sprinkling of herbs on top. The problem with the little container of mixed olive oil and vinegar is that it’s difficult to taste the vinegar. I shook up the container, opened the lid quickly and stuck my bread in only to be coated with olive oil before reaching the balsamic. While we all love the food that comes from our carts, there can be issues with the way it is served in various containers. I later found the best solution was to add a dollop of tomato sauce and shake it well.

If you’re looking for a quick and simple pasta lunch before heading to Voodoo Doughnut, spend 5 minutes and $5 for a Pastini type of meal (they use the same noodles as Pastini). Two facts set The Limp Noodle apart from other carts – it’s open late on the weekends (this is good for the club going crowd), and they take Visa and Master Card. Not being a big pasta fan I won’t make The Limp Noodle a staple cart in my lunch options, but I will put it in my top quick and cheap list.
