<div><strong>Compact Disc-ul (CD) este un disc optic folosit pentru a stoca date în format digital, creat iniţial pentru stocare audio. Istoria CD-ROM-urilor nu este prea îndepărtată de zilele noastre. </strong></div>

<p>Preocupările în acest domeniu se remarcă îndeosebi după anul 1980, în urma unei înţelegeri între renumitele companii Philips şi Sony. Până la această dată, fiecare dintre cele două companii realizase, după propriile concepţii şi tehnologii, diferite variante de CD-ROM-uri, însă abia în anul 1982, ca urmare a înţelegerii stabilite, acestea au definitivat standardul actualelor CD-ROM-uri.</p>
<p>Discurile CD-ROM şi discurile CD-audio sunt asemănătoare (unii spun identice), dar, în acelaşi timp, sunt şi diferite. Ele sunt identice ca suport, ca principiu de citire şi ca mărime, şi format fizic, însă diferă din punct de vedere al conţinutului informaţional şi al unităţilor hard pentru înregistrare şi redare. Un CD-audio, introdus însă într-o unitate hard de CD-ROM, va putea fi citit şi redat fără probleme.</p>

CD-ROM-ul (<strong><span style="color:#ff0000;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Copmact Disc Read Only Memory</span></span></strong>) reprezinta suportul de memorie in plina ascensiune datorita facilitatilor deosebite pe care le prezinta, atat in ce priveste tehnologia avansat de fabricatie,cat si in ce priveste modul de organizare si de accesare a informatiilor .Stocarea si accesarea datelor de pe CD-ROM-uri, se realizeaza prin mijloace optice cu o viteza mult mai rapida, care reduc numarul de componetnte mecanice si maresc fiabilitatea suportului.</p>
<p>Istoria CD-ROM-urilor nu este prea indepartata de zilele noastre. <p>Principalele caracteristici de performamta ale unitatilor de CD sunt :</p>
<p>- capacitatea de sctocare ;</p>
<p>- timpul de acces ;</p>
<p>- rata de transfer ;</p>
<p>- viteza de lucru.</p>
<p>Capacitatea de stocare la un CD este de 650 MB,fiind cu mult mai superioara floppy-discului dar la concurenta cu HD.</p>
<p>Timpul de acces reprezinta ,ca si la HD,durata de timp ce se consuma din momentul emiterii unei cereri de citire sau scriere si pana in momentul cand incepe efectiv operatia respectiva.. Acest parametru se masoara in milisecunde shi este mai mare ca la HD, fiind cuprins ,in medie, intre 100 ms. si 400 ms. iar la cele mai moderne scade sub 100ms.Astfel in timp ce la hard disk-uri timpul de acces se situeaza sub 20 milisecunde , la CD-ROM-uri timpul de acces nu scade cu mult sub 100 milisecunde .Timpul mare de acces se explica, in primul rand, prin faptul ca la fiecare accesare CD-ul trebuie adus la o anumita viteza de rotire, in timp ce hard disk-ul are o viteza de rotatie constanta, iar in al doilea rand capul de citire, la unitatea CD, este ceva mai greu ca la hard disk, continand mai multe elemente (laserul,fotocelula, unitatea de focalizare s.a.), iar manevra acestuia cere mai mult timp. Din acest punct de vedere unitatile CD se afla in curs de perfectionare.</p>
<p>Rata de transfer se refera la cantitatea de informatie ce se transfera intr-o secunda si poate fi cuprinsa intre 150KB/s (la primele tipuri de unitatide CD-uri) si peste 3000 KB/s (la unitatile moderne). Rata de transfer depinde, in primul rand de timpul de acces si de viteza de lucru a unitatii CD.</p>
<p>Viteza de lucru reprezinta un parametru care influienteaza direct rata de transfer si timpul de acces si se stabileste in raport cu primul tip de unitate CD numit single-spid, care lucra cu un transfer de 150KB/secunda si fata de care s-au dezvoltat apoi viteze de 2xSpeed, de 4xSpeed, de8xSpeed s.a.m.d. ajungandu-se in prezent pana la 24x, pentru care ar corespunde, cel putin teoretic, unei rate de transfer de 300KB/s.</p>
<p>Desi mult superior fata de Floppy-disk, CD-ul prezinta si unele dezavantaje. Astfe, pe langa timpul de acces mai mare si rata de transfer mai mica fata de HD, un alt dezavantaj principal al unitatii CD este acela ca, majoritatea acestora (existente pe piata) permit numai citirea nu si scrierea. Si in aceasta privinta exista tendinta de raspandire a unitatilor CD-uri care sa permita atat citirea cat si scrierea informatiilor. Aceasta fiind inca foarte costisitoare, nu sunt accesibile tuturor utilizatorilor iar in al doile rand numarul reinscrierilor pe un CD este limitat iar unele unitati nu permit decat o singura reinscriere.</p>

<p><strong>Paso 1- Disponer del material necesario para el montaje del ordenador.</strong></p>
<p>Lo primero que hay que hacer antes de empezar el montaje es asegurarnos de que disponemos de todos los elementos necesarios para realizar el montaje del ordenador desde 0.<br />
Tendremos que disponer de todo el hardware necesario y algunas herramientas indispensables:</p>

<p>Cable de alimentació de la fuente de alimentacion.<br />
Cable de vídeo VGA.<br />
Cables de connexió IDE.<br />
Cable para connectar en la UART.</p>

<p><strong>Paso 2- Disponer de una superficie de trabajo amplia y limpia. </strong></p>
<p>A la hora de trabajar, necesitaremos una superficie plana, limpia y suficientemente amplia para poder disponer de todos los elementos necesarios sin que nada estorbe nuestra mobilidad.<br />
Necesitaremos tener localizados los distintos elementos, los tornillos, por ejemplo, deberan estar a nuestro alcance rapidamente, dado que los necesitaremos frecuentemente, mientras que otros elementos como perifericos no seran necesarios durante gran parte del proceso de montaje.</p>

<p><strong>Paso3- Montar la placa base.</strong></p>
<p>Colocaremos la caja ATX tumbada sobre el area de trabajo con un panel lateral abierto. el otro lado, dispondrá de una placa metalica que sujetara la placa base mediante tornillos. Colocaremos la placa base sobre la placa metalica de tal manera que los conectores de salida traseros pasen por los orificios de la caja ATX y que coincidan los agujeros de sujecion de la placa con las roscas de la placa metalica, para de esta manera, poder enroscar los tornillos y así mantener sujeta la placa base a la caja enla posicion correcta.</p>

<p><strong>Paso 4- Montar el disco duro i la disquetera dentro del compartimento de la caja ATX.</strong></p>
<p>Disponemos de un compartimento en la caja donde colocaremos el disco duro, la disquetera y el CD-ROM.<br />
Colocaremos cada uno en su correspondiente bahía de manera que queden sujetos, y los atornillaremos para imposibilitar su mobilidad.</p>

<p><strong>Paso 5- Montar el procesador en el zocalo.</strong></p>
<p>A la hora de colocar el procesador hemos de comprovar que el socket sea compatible con el processador, una vez comprobado de manera satisfactoria, liberaremos la palanca de retencion del zocalo.<br />
Montaremos el procesador en el zocalo, solo hay una posicion correcta para colocarlo, y la sabremos  utilizando como guia la esquina indicada con un triangulo en el processador, en la que faltan dos pins y fijandonos en la esquina que carece de agujeros en el zocalo.</p>

<p><span style="font-family:Times New Roman,serif;"><span style="font-size:small;"><strong>Pas 	6-</strong> <strong>Montar el ventilador del processador.</strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:Times New Roman,serif;"><span style="font-size:small;">Colocaremos el disipador encima del microprocesador (si es con pasta termina mejor) y lo sujetaremos al zocalo, a continuacion conectaremos el ventilador al disipador. Posteriormente conectaremos el cable de alimentacion del ventilador a la placa base.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family:Times New Roman,serif;"><span style="font-size:small;">La 	ranura es asimetrica, primer deberemos abrir las palancas situadas a ambos lados de la ranura, colocaremos la memoria RAM horizontalmente y empujaremos hasta que las palancas se cierren automaticamente.</span></span></p>

<p>La colocacion es similar al paso anterior, colocaremos la targeta de manera horizontal y apretaremos hasta que veamos que ha encajado perfectamente en ambos extremos.<br />
Atornillaremos la placa metalica de la tarjeta a la caja para mantenerla sujeta.</p>

<p><span style="font-family:Times New Roman,serif;"><span style="font-size:small;"><strong>Paso 	11- Conectar los cables IDE al disco duro (MASTER), CD-ROM 	(SLAVE)y disquetera a la placa base</strong></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:Times New Roman,serif;"><span style="font-size:small;">Conectamos un extremo del cable al conector IDE2 y el otro extremo en el lector CD-ROM guiandonos por el borde rojo para saber en que posicion conectarlo.</span><span style="font-size:small;">Conectamos un extremo del cable al conector IDE1 y el otro extremo en el disco duro guiandonos por el borde rojo para saber en que posicion conectarlo.<br />
Conectamos un extremo del cable al conector FDD y el otro extremo en la disquetera.</span><span style="font-size:small;"><br />
Conectamos la alimentacion del CD-ROM, disquetera y Disco duro.</span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family:Times New Roman,serif;"><span style="font-size:small;">Conectamos la alimentacion en la parte trasera de la caja y a un enchufe electrico</span><span style="font-family:Times New Roman,serif;">. Conectamos la salida del monitor a la entrada VGA de la placa de video.<strong><br />
</strong>Conectamos el raton y el teclado en los conectores Ps2/USB<br />
Encendemos el ordenador y vigilamos que los ventiladores giran y funciona bien.<br />
cuando empieza a encenderse mantenemos pulsada la tecla DEL y entramos en la BIOS.<br />
Comprovamos que el sistema reconoce el disco duro, la lectora de CD-ROM, disquetera y que se puede configurar el arranque desde cualquier dispositivo.<br />
configuramos el arranque desde el el CD si necesitamos instalar el sistema operativo o desde el disco duro si ya disponemos de el.<br />
Salimos de la BIOS con la opcion &#8220;Save y Edit setup&#8221;<br />
Cerramos la caja ATX.</span></span></p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Tänään oli vuorossa röntgen ja ortopedin vastaanotto Töölön sairaalassa. Matkaan lähdin koko kalustolla eli pyörätuoli, sauvat, puujalka ja käsilaukku. Silkkaa hullutta olisi ollut askeltaa sairaalan pitkiä käytäviä ja vaarantaa liialla rasituksella tynkä. Nythän jouduin ilmoittautumaan ajanvarauspoliklinikalla ja siirtymään sieltä röntgeniin kolmanteen kerrokseen ja palata.</p>
<p>Röntgeniin pääsin etuajassa. Toimenpidehuoneessa jouduin irroittamaan jalan ja saadakseni silikonitupenkin pois, pitkät housutkin riisumaan. Laakista hoitaja sai hyväksyttävät kuvat lantiosta ja molemmista jaloista ylhäältä alas polvineen päivineen. Kysyin mahdollisuutta saada kuvia itsellenikin ja sehän kävi. Polttivat mulle toimistossa cd-rompun, johon mahtui ihka ekat kuvat viime marraskuulta, yhdet TT- kuvat ja tämänpäiväiset. Erinomaisen tehokasta, josta lasku postitetaan kotiin. Lisää kuvia saa pyytämällä.</p>
<p>Pohjakerroksessa ortopedi oli ajallaan, mutta kiireinen. Kerkesimme hoitamaan juoksevat asiat. Luutuminen on hyvin edistynyt, mutta vielä kesken. Tällä hetkellä inva % on 10, mutta jos kaikki puujalkani kanssa menee hyvin niin jatkossa 6. Sairauslomaa jatkettiin näiltä näkymiltä toukokuun10 loppuun.</p>
<p>Taxi pakkasi minut ja koko kaluston autoonsa ja kuljetti kotiin. Taxin lounas, joka keskeytyi tilaukseeni tuoksui kaikkialla ja koko matkan, jonka  nälkäisenä huomioin. Kuljettaja sanoi kotiovellani, että &#8221; sinut oli ihana kuljettaa &#8220;.</p>

<p><strong>Out with the old and in with the new</strong><br />
Such change is inevitable. In my own career I have been extraordinarily fortunate to have seen and experienced the most amazingly and widespread technical developments in security systems. In the world of CCTV the real revolution began some 23 years ago, in 1986, when the first CCD camera waltzed into our industry, warts and all, to virtually wipe out the supply of tube cameras overnight in much the same way as CD-ROMs sounded the death knell for vinyl in the music industry. Of course, many of us more &#8216;mature&#8217; individuals still shake our heads and wonder when the new digital products in use in our industry will catch up with even the cheapest vidicon tubes we used all those years ago! But, no complaints from this quarter at all &#8230; and no looking back. This is merely an observation that we sometimes tend to accept changes simply because they are new and exciting without giving enough thought to whether they really have the qualities to do a better job. On the positive side we must remember that new technologies have inspired our manufacturers, design specialists and installers to reach for new heights.</p>

<p>Parlare di elementi “indispensabili” al giorno d’oggi può forse far sorridere qualcuno, però nel caso dell’<strong>ufficio</strong> occorre sempre tener presente le <strong>necessità primarie</strong>.<br />
Parliamo dell’ufficio, ma forse dovremmo riferirci a qualsiasi <strong>luogo di lavoro</strong> e magari anche a <strong>postazioni casalinghe</strong>.<br />

<p>E&#8230;o CD-ROM seria um material do curso. Bem legal!  O nome GFIME Consult é de uma empresa fictícia. Também criei o logotipo da empresa de mentirinha (rsrs).</p>
<p>Fiz num record de 2 dias e meio (rsrs!). Usei o Adobe AIR e XML.</p>

<title><![CDATA[TS Diary #5: C&amp;C Tiberian Sun Directors Cut]]></title>

Today I started to upload the first Videos of the game.<br />
I finished the GDI campaign faster as I thought and I start right now to capture the gameplay for the Brotherhood of NOD. I think that I have the NOD campaign ready after the last video of GDI is up.</p>

<p>I must admit that I was very disapointed about the cutscenes sometimes. Lets find out why. <!--more--></p>
<h2>Cutscenes and CD-Roms</h2>
<p>I was disapointed about the fact that the cutscenes they made for the game are too short and lots of informations were missing about the plot. I am sure they would have added longer cutscenes to the game if they had the chance to burn it on a DVD and not on a ordinary CD-Rom. Sure, the First Decade Edition features a Bonus Disk with additional informations about the making of the cutscenes for Tiberian Sun, but its still not enough. A special edition for Tiberian Sun would be nice. A directors cut by Dave that shows how he wanted the cutscenes to be: In full lenght, without having any scenes cut out. Maybe I should start a petition to get this directors cut. The Directors Cut for C&#38;C Tiberian Wars was awesome and I want to have the same for Tiberian Sun, even when this game is near 10 years old. But it will be just a never granted wish in the end and it is better not to complain about it.</p>
