<description><![CDATA[En jetant un oeil au site Canoë, en ce début de soirée, je suis tombé sur cet article de Jean-Louis]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>En jetant un oeil au site Canoë, en ce début de soirée, je suis tombé sur <a href="http://fr.canoe.ca/infos/quebeccanada/archives/2010/05/20100511-174712.html" target="_blank">cet article de Jean-Louis Fortin, de l&#8217;agence QMI</a>, au sujet des arrondissements de Montréal qui, à l&#8217;image de Côte-des-Neiges&#8211;Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (CDN-NDG), devraient se mettre à la lutte contre&#8230; le gras trans.</p>
<p>Pas contre la criminalité, ni contre les gangs de rue, ni contre les débits d&#8217;alcool illégaux, ni contre les piqueries, ni contre la vente de drogues dans les cours d&#8217;école, ni contre la vitesse excessive dans les zones scolaires, ni contre la corruption dans l&#8217;attribution de leurs contrats, ni contre les nids-de-poule, ni contre les trottoirs dégueulasses, ni contre les amoncellement de déchets dans les ruelles.  Contre le gras trans!</p>
<p>Après, on viendra se plaindre du fédéral, qui met son nez dans la cour des provinces!</p>
<p>Dans l&#8217;article de Jean-Louis Fortin, on apprend que l&#8217;arrondissement CDN-NDG a présenté, ce mardi, sa &#8220;Politique en faveur de saines habitudes de vie&#8221;, et espère inciter les autres arrondissements de la ville de Montréal de converger dans le même sens.  On peut également lire que les municipalités n&#8217;ont aucun pouvoir de bannir le gras trans des restaurants, puisqu&#8217;il s&#8217;agit d&#8217;un pouvoir qui reviendrait au gouvernement fédéral.  Par contre, toujours selon l&#8217;article, le conseiller de ville du district de Snowdon et  leader d’Union Montréal au conseil municipal, Marvin Rotrand, promet que son administration accompagnera les  restaurateurs en leur indiquant comment acheter des aliments santé sans  voir leurs coûts de production exploser.  Comme si les restaurateurs ne pouvaient pas le faire eux-mêmes.</p>
<p>Cou&#8217;donc, il ne reste plus de nids-de-poule à remplir, dans CDN-NDG?</p>
<p>Les municipalités &#8211; et les arrondissements de Montréal en font partie &#8211; ont tant à faire dans les domaines qui sont de leur juridiction, et tant de retard à rattraper au niveau de leurs infrastructures, qu&#8217;elles n&#8217;ont rien à cirer dans la lutte au gras trans.  Si les restaurateurs veulent servir des repas remplis de gras trans, ou encore sans gras trans, ça les regarde, eux et personne d&#8217;autre!  Si le client trouve son repas trop gras, il va faire parler son porte-monnaie; il désertera ce restaurant, et ira ailleurs.  Et si le restaurant, devant une baisse de sa clientèle, persiste à servir le même menu, il fermera éventuellement ses portes.  La ville n&#8217;a pas &#8220;une cenne&#8221; à mettre là-dedans!</p>
<p>Si l&#8217;on permet aux municipalités de lutter contre le gras trans, dans le but de soi-disant favoriser de saines habitudes de vie, quelle sera la prochaine étape?  Interdire l&#8217;automobile, parce que ça pollue?  Proscrire les animaux domestiques, parce leur litière ne sent pas bon?  Déjà que les municipalités réglementent dans des domaines strictement privés, comme de savoir <a href="http://richard3.wordpress.com/2009/08/10/beaconsfield-de-quoi-jme-mele/" target="_blank">ce que vous pouvez mettre, ou ne pas mettre, au-dessus de votre piscine</a>, il me semble que leurs budgets devraient servir à assurer des services aux citoyens, et non pas à les brimer dans leurs choix.</p>
