Still – I guess there is a busybody in everyone, deep down inside… (yes, admit it.)

The lovely Jesseca Liu has such warmth and sincerity in her blog that immediately draws people into her world and her thoughts. Is she lamenting on the press for criticizing her relationship with Mr So-and-So? I wonder if she is as approachable and real in person? From her fans’ comments, I reckon she really is. Good for her that she chose to leave MDC at her peak… she will definitely be remembered fondly as the ‘princess’ who left ‘untainted’… (Good luck wherever you go, Jesseca!)

Nat Ho appears to be a really deep thinker. One of his entries seemed to insinuate that someone is playing ‘games’… read : backstabbing and politics. Woah, how scandalicious! Wonder who is this person ‘with a plank in his eyes’ that goes around picking the ‘splinter in Nat’s eyes’… I hate such person too, Nat. (As if you care. LOL)

Joanne Peh definitely has the most reader friendly blog. You can tell that she is one who communicates very well, probably stemming from her MassComm education. Her entries are candid and lively, full of fashion and beauty tips and pictures. Oh the pictures! She was discreet enough to omit any pictures she had taken with her beau Bobby Tonelli, probably not to give the media any platform to write on. Smart lass. Wish I can catch her in Tampines. (How come i don’t ever see you in the neighbourhood leh?).

The latest celeb blog i found was David Gan’s. His is really a very funny blog. Love how he bitches about everybody else with ‘substandard fashion sense’ and how he coos about certain people (obviously those he likes alot) like a dainty little girl. Can you seriously criticize people like that and get away with it, especially in your industry??? I admire your frankness but uhmmm seriously David,  it’s true some of your fashion taste is a tad weird… Yvonne Lim REALLY don’t look good in that samsui woman get-up and it didn’t do justice to her natural beauty wor. (Ok don’t shoot me, it’s just my honest opinion! )

Frankly it’s none of my business what these celebs do but guess that’s what entertainment is for. What a busybody I am turning out to be!

Why does he always have to fug up around the holidays? lol I mean I’d still hit it but just saying… there was a story yesterday about someone who had an encounter with him at a shop there in aspen and if it’s true, his family is there with him. Who knows… let him do his thing and have his coffee. oh and where’s the fashion police? Seriously they need to do their rounds more often.

Do you consider yourself a celebrity?

Some people might perceive me to be a celebrity, but I don’t treat myself like one. I’m just a dude with a website that fortunately a lot of people read. For every two people that like me, there are probably three that don’t, so that helps keep me grounded.

Have you ever had an awkward meeting with a celebrity that you’d bashed in a post?

That definitely happens regularly. I just stand there and take it. I dish it so I have to be able to take it. It’d be very hypocritical of me not to.

Did Hollywood play a role in inspiring you to get healthier and lose weight?

I was inspired to get healthier and lose weight cause I wanted to get laid. This is an LA magazine, so what’s up LA boys? Step up to the plate. I’m ready to get laid or date or whatever.

How do you account for your success?

I was one of the first around. Whenever you’re ahead of the curve, that definitely helps. I think people really like knowing that they can go to my website and get the latest breaking news, and that every time they come there’s something new.

I’ve noticed you give Jennifer Aniston a tough time. Why is that?

I mean, I don’t hate her, but I don’t really care for her. I think she’s not appreciative of her fans. She’s not that talented. She doesn’t use her celebrity for good. What is Jennifer Aniston really doing to make the world a better place? Not much.

What inspired you to doodle on celebrities’ pictures?

It was just another way for me to entertain my readers. When I sit down to work on the website I ask myself, ‘how can I present these words and images in as entertaining a way as possible?’ That’s why I draw on the pictures, that’s why I give celebrities nicknames. It’s different ways of entertaining people.

Do you worry about putting too much political news on a celebrity gossip blog?

No. The website is called perezhilton.com so inherently it’s one person’s take on the world. It’s my filter on what’s going on and whatever I find interesting. And these days politicians are celebrities. Look at Sarah Palin — she became an overnight sensation. The funny thing is I think everyone assumes that I’m a Democrat but I’m not.

What’s your advice for making it in Hollywood?

As they say in Gypsy, “you gotta get a gimmick, if you wanna get ahead.” Get a gimmick, be original, do something different. If you wanna make it and you don’t have connections, you have to work harder than everyone else.
