Tees, tees they’re good for your heart.  The most you wear the more you…well, you know the rest.  Thankfully, the verb I’m thinking here is more concerned with the upper half of the body.

But really, they are good for your heart.  A naturally active and breathable material, one hundred percent cotton will always be a determinant of physical activity.  How many girls can say they were more inclined to walk at a brisk pace due to their five-inch spiked Louboutins?  Call me crazy, but I’m way more likely to brave a triathlon in a Chaser LA creation that exposes the bands that would have blared on my iPod anyway.

The tee that keeps on giving transports us from the couch to a Hollywood event when tucked into a tight skirt; from Starbucks and Pinkberry, to maybe even the gym to work on our own Megan Foxy bodies (it’s never too early to start the dreaded spring break regiment.)  Where’s the best arena to wear your stylish slub cottons?  I’m thinking Madison Square Garden, Thursday night, Phish (there’s Wednesday night too).

Call me crazy, I know that vintage tees can often be best found in local vintage shops, but there’s nothing like a little luxe-leisure either, and who does casual cool the bester than the West(er)?  The good news: the true hippies in the crowd won’t know your t-shirt costs more than their ticket.  The better news: anyone who knows anything will be jealous of the grunge-glam graphics, ranging in a festival of musicians who have impacted their audiences just as the esteemed t-shirt brand has, from Blondie (Kate Beckinsale) to Prince (Audrina Patridge), from Van Halen to the Stones.

I’m a bit biased.  I’ve always been a fan of the dancing bears, which is why the cropped off the shoulder fleece is a must have for me.  But then again, Bowie’s raglan burnout poses the chance to be a fashion rebel, rebel.  Which show will you be attending tonight?

Music and fashion often go hand in hand, with some of our favorite bands and singers leading the way when it comes to stylish clothes.

Therefore it may come as no surprise that Stella McCartney and former Smiths frontman Morrissey have teamed up on an exciting new project.

The pair, who are both vegetarians, are collaborating on a new range of leather-free footwear and as Stella McCartney fans, we can’t wait to see the results.

She said: "I’m working with Morrissey on a line of leather-free shoes which I’m really excited about. We are still in the early stages, but the shoes could be launched next year."

They’re unlikely to resemble the fabulous over-the-knee boots from her recent collection that many famous faces and celebrity stylists have been sporting, but we’re sure these designs will be fantastic.

Stella is the daughter of former Beatles member Paul McCartney and his late wife Linda, who was known for being a vegetarian and animal rights activist.

Jessica dress sparkled like lights as she attended her sister Ashley debut performance on Broadway as Roxy in Chicago.

Among the original gangster’s latest roles, Angelina Jolie has taken on a new character—that of humanitarian and mom.  She’s come a long way since the days of Billy Bob’s blood and psychiatric wards.  Yet young Hollywood tends to construe romanticized versions of even their own internal celebrity icons.  To say that modern day bombshell Megan Fox isn’t one of Jolie’s current followers is as ludicrous as denying Octomom’s Angelinaplasty, complete with overgrown onyx hair and lips more blown up than a moon bounce.

This recycled profile is proof that vixen will always be vogue even when New Moon is out of theaters and the Twilight saga has returned to the grave (oops, wrong frightening phantom). Every cinematic trend meets its doomsday, and if garlic could ward off this crazy cult-like film sooner, I’d grow and roast the cloves myself.

I was always more into movie costumes anyway.  At the very least, we’ve extracted a modern day Mrs. Dracula to walk the blood-red carpet in fabrics so tight, I’m sucking in just fantasizing about them and shapes so pointy I’m covering my jugular with both hands.  The Creeper Jacket by Veda mimics the angular detailing near the neckline in a more approachable manner, while singer Leona Lewis models the style as a dominatrix in disDress.

Beware, danger ahead.  While they might call her Stacy, the most curvaceous Black Eyed Pea is a stunner in an all over be-studded couture gown.  Considering her regimented leg workout (she recently confessed to having hubby Josh Duhamel build a set of stairs for her daily lunges) she deserves a slit cut high enough for all the world to admire the end result.  We can’t all have a personal staircase, stair master, or Josh Duhamel for that matter, but a suggestive cut-out, form fitting LBD lunges for the same effect.  With the Madonna dress by Jen’s Pirate Booty, the famously petite part of the female figure is highlighted—peek-a-boo, I see a waist.

Lady-like leathers and silver-studs transcend night attire alone.  While its capacity doesn’t exceed the second letter in the alphabet, bags, belts, and biker coats have been infiltrated.  So even when the red carpet is being dry cleaned, you can carry a touch of tough daily.

I guess Rihanna is really trying to keep people away. This is about her fourth outfit with something spiky sticking out of it.

Rodarte for Target drops in 21 days, and since it was the first debut in a long time that got me excited again for the mega chains’ collaborations, we’ll put a little faith in its upcoming spring line too, created by Zac Posen and for Target’s Go International line. Zac was fashion’s It Divo a few years ago and still dominates most critics’ and starlets’ Most Popular lists, but now he’s reaching down to the masses, and let’s all hope his dramatic fishtail skirts and plunging necklines translate for Target. Price points are said to be in the $15-$150 range, which is honestly annoying, but if it’s actually good and not Target-ish, April 25 will be a good day.

Models can be photographers, actresses and media moguls, so is there still a stigma if they cross over to become fashion designers? Coco Rocha, otherwise known as one of the most poised, fun-loving and healthy-minded supermodels of the era, is starting her own fashion line and, as Fashionista brought to my attention, is asking Oh So Coco readers to help her out with names for the brand.

And there’s one more newbie fashion line to discuss today, and although it involves a hot young actress, it shouldn’t make you gag. It’s coming from the best dressed girl of her generation, Emma Watson, and it’s for charity (read: a temporary project). The line was announced a couple of months ago, and you’ll have to wait a couple more months to get anything, but it’s still worth budgeting for. Emma’s been working with People Tree, a UK-based “Fair Trade fashion pioneer.” Emma’s line will include mens- and womenswear (jersey t-shirts, woven skirts, shorts and other knitwear) plus accessories and home goods.

When you’re getting ready for a night out, one of the first things you probably reach for is a great pair of heels.

We all know that they can do wonders for your legs and make you feel a million dollars when you step into a bar, but would you ever consider going out in a pair of flat pumps?

We think that it is time to give your feet a break and take a leaf out of Kate Moss’ book next time you are heading to a party.

The fashionista recently went out in a stylish all-black outfit consisting of a top, leather skirt and fringed bag, finished off with patent black ballet shoes.

We know your feet may be used to wearing towering heels, but a pair of flats could be the perfect finishing touch when paired with a cute dress and bare legs. You can even go for shorter skirts without feeling like you are flashing too much flesh.

Another celebrity fan of flat shoes is Alexa Chung, who often leaves her heels at home and opts for comfy pumps on the red carpet.

Would you give your feet a break and wear flat shoes for a night out? Or are you a firm fan of heels?

Well I ordered the Joe’s Denim Leggings and I already have a pair of the Lululemon leggings. I also picked up a Mike + Chris Leather Hoodie at this past summers Barney’s Warehouse sale. It had a relatively small rip and needed a new zipper. So I got an $1800 jacket for $40 and spent $25 fixing it and it looks perfect. I also bought this pair of Alexander Wang boots, a bit ago at Barney’s.

Anyways, I decided I get too bored with sweaters to spend too much money on just one. I spied a bunch of sweaters at Forever 21 this past weekend, and have decided to go online and order like 10 sweaters. Forever’s shit doesn’t last very long; but, if I literally have 10 of them, that will cost about $300… I can just dispose em all at the end of the winter! I live in LA, doesn’t get THAT cold.

Fergie wears Marc Jacobs collection to the Teen Choice Awards

Since the return of the romper (for shame, Ashley Tisdale), very little in the fashion world has truly put my Hanky Pankies in a ruffle.  And then Marc Jacobs jolted the industry entirely, reviving eye-popping neon additions and an amalgam of avant-garde textures, transferring his pension for visually bright, urbane pieces to his introductory line of Louis Vuitton monogrammed luxuries.  If the upper east were to ever join forces with the west village, this rags meets riches rendezvous might best be materialistically interpreted by a Marc Jacobs original.

While vamp might have been vogue for the past season in an attempt to be Robert Pattinson-chic, there’s no harm in letting the bat out of the cave, if only to catch a glimpse of daylight represented by livelier shades more reminiscent of a field of flowers than a vile of blood.  Angelina, your time is up.

Marc Jacobs has long encouraged through his designs to kick “normal” up a notch by transforming a typical item from banal to bold.  A white crew neck tee?  Think pink, with AKA New York.  Leopard print scarf?  Think pink, with Tolani.  Sumptuous silk tank?  Think pink, with Madison Marcus.  Imbuing past preferences with a youthful bubblegum hue has the same effect as that show on TLC that makes haggard, borderline ogre-ish women look ten years younger.  A Chanel tweed coat will always be a must-have essential, but Marc Jacobs Collection’s new interpretation of Coco-esque outerwear with explosive colors woven throughout (featured in this month’s In Style), melts away decades and transports the archaic entity to right now.

October might be long gone, but the mantra think pink is one to ponder come December when sprucing up the old wardrobe.

Victoria Beckham infuses her own collection with spicy silks and posh patterns

When JLo showed up to the Golden Globes in Donatella’s diaphanous emerald shower curtains, critics began to talk.  When Janet flashed some national nip during the Super Bowl halftime show, hell nearly froze over from such widespread shock caused by an ostensible wardrobe malfunction.  But when Spice Girl turned designer Victoria Beckham crafts a luxe potato sack that’s been put through the dryer a few too many times, drool begins to form a small pool on the ground below.

The strapless dress with delicate silk draping is the most coveted burlap bag this side of Idaho.  An otherwise shapeless frock, when worn by a generally shapeless (though Madonna-worthy muscular), body creates a reverse effect, creating a curvy silhouette with endless panache. It seems that two wrongs can make a right—a very, very right.  Across generations, this feminine look has been emulated in long tie dyes as Alessandra Amrbosio proves in Gypsy 05, short florals as Lindsay Lohan ponders in Pencey, and even plain paneled silks like the Alice + Olivia halter seen on Khloe Kardashian.

But the trophy goes to the inventor of the must-have look of now.  Bravo, V. Becks, for your capacity to flaunt a watercolor canvas of silk more artfully than Georgia O’Keefe, to prove that a tiny little nothing worn by a tiny little nothing can be unequivocally stunning, and to make women everywhere suddenly crave forbidden starches.

If you’ve ever stared enviously at the designer gowns worn by the likes of Kate Moss and Scarlet Johansson, a new venture from Topshop could be just what you need.

The high street fashion chain has just launched a service called Dress Me Up, which lets shoppers hire dresses made famous by celebrity fashionistas at affordable prices.

We know we’ve often dreamed of getting access to Naomi Campbell or Erin O’Connor’s wardrobe, as well as wearing outfits from designers such as Zandra Rhodes, Marios Schwab and Emma Cook.

Thanks to Dress Me Up, now everyone has a chance of getting their hands on one of these gorgeous gowns.

You could even end up adding one to your wardrobe permanently, as all of the dresses featured in the hire service will later be auctioned for charity.

Which celebrity fashion icon’s clothes would you most like to borrow?

Columbian-born NYC fashion icon, Edwing D’Angelo, is charging full force into the fashion world with 10 collections and three brands already under his belt. Using his influence in the fashion industry, Edwing is helping to raise awareness for autism with his latest show, Fashion for Autism: La Vie En Rose by Edwing D’ Angelo. His unique Latin/American fusion inspired collections are vibrant in color and bold with design, making is easy to understand why his garments are in such high demand at boutiques and stores across the world.  We caught up with Edwing to learn more about his cause and collection.

MFP: Fashion for Autism is being supported by a number of individuals and celebrities. What inspired you to help raise awareness for this worthy cause?

EDA: Well, there are many reasons why I got involved. One of those reasons was that my two brothers and my younger sister have a combined total of five toddlers in the age group where Autism is diagnosed (before the age of 18 months old). I thank God that they are all fine, but that thought was ever present in my mind especially when my younger sister had a high risk pregnancy with twins. The doctors told her that the kids may be born with Down syndrome, unfortunately, the baby girl fetus died while in the womb, but the baby boy was born and he is doing well. Moreover, two of my good friends have Autistic children.  All that combined brought me to research and learn more about Autism. To my surprise, many people around me (including myself) had no clue of what Autism was. During my research I found out how thousands of families worldwide are affected with this situation. Therefore, I chose not to be selfish because my personal worries were not met. I chose not to ignore the problem, and instead decided to get involved in the awareness and share the information that I had learned to help others as if they were my extended family.

MFP: What do you hope to accomplish with your upcoming show?

EDA: I hope to accomplish two things:

1. Raise money to donate to AMAC (Association for Metroarea Autistic Children) to help them continue in their mission to educate Autistic children so one day they can hopefully lead independent lives as adults.
2. I wish to utilize the media platform I am able to attract during the presentation of my collection fashion shows to shed light into how important is for all of us to know about Autism and how it is a growing problem in our society that is not as distant as we may think it is. I want people to know that Autistic people deserve our love, respect and compassion. They are wonderful people and I want everyone to know that we all can help to alleviate the burden of a family caring for an Autistic member.

MFP: How can people help or become involved in supporting autism awareness?

EDA: People can be involved in many different ways, including:

• Donating to organizations that cater to children/adults or family with Autistic children/family members.
• Volunteer time to assist an Autistic child, adult and/or organization that caters to Autistic children.
• Adoptions: There are Autistic orphans who have very slim possibilities of ever being adopted by a loving and caring family because of their condition.
• Services: a lot of Autistic organizations and families could find relief with pro-bono services such as legal, accounting, arts, etc.

MFP: Your work has been featured in media outlets from the New York Post to a Lifetime television series. When did you first realize that you had successfully “made it” as a designer?

EDA: I’m laughing as I read this question because I am still wondering what success means… But I believe that success to me is what makes me happy. I knew I had “made it” when I saw people walking through my boutique door and purchasing my garments and being happy that they found that beautiful piece that put a smile in their faces.  I had read an article in which Oscar de la Renta said “…you are not a designer until you are selling garments,” so when I sold my first pieces off the racks, I felt validated and successful.

MFP: You were originally on track to having a career in law and you decided to risk everything to enter the fashion world. What was the biggest obstacle you faced during this transition?

EDA: Exactly, once again, I strive to be happy. Happiness is for me the barometer by which I measure success. My family had decided that because I had a little bit of brain I should go to law school. After all, I am a fifth generation of tailors and seamstresses and no one did anything with that back home. But even though we were in this wonderful country full of opportunities, I dared to dream of making clothing just like I saw my aunts make them.  However, I was up for a brutal awakening when I realized how complex and difficult it was to make it in the fashion industry. I believe that the biggest obstacle has been the financial aspect of it all. It is very difficult for young independent designers to make it in an industry which has become less about creativity and more about the bottom line.  I am pretty much self-made; I have never had a financial backer or financial support.  It has been pretty tough, but I believe that when you love something, the way I love fashion, you find a way.

MFP: How have your native Columbian roots helped inspire your Latin-infused designs?

EDA: Well, I have lived in the US for more than 20 years now, so my Colombian ethos are a little bit far removed, but I think that I carry with me the flair of the Colombian people.  They are very proud people and they worship personal appearance. It is not by accident that beauty pageants are national sports there. So, I believe I carried with me that sense of pomp and glam, the necessity to always look your best when in public and to carry yourself with that air of superiority, in the good sense. I think that with my American ways now created that fusion which makes my collections unique and appealing to men and women who want to look their best. It should not be surprising that I specialize in occasion and eveningwear.

MFP: You’ve already created three different brands – what was the inspiration behind each?

EDA: I have three brands under my name: EDWING D’ANGELO, which is my high-end collection that includes ready to wear and eveningwear for both men and women; KARAZ by Edwing D’Angelo, which is my prom, sweet sixteen, bat mitzvah and bridesmaid collection; EDWING D’ANGELO Bridals, which is obviously my wedding gown collection. However, I have shown 10 collections thus far. They ranged from Fall/Winter to Spring/Summer, Resort and Holiday since 2004.  I have been inspired from vampires with my Fall 2008 Awakening, to President Barack Obama with my Spring/Summer 2009. My last collection Spring/Summer 2010 was called La Vie En Rose inspired by the song of Edith Piaf. I usually get inspired by my surroundings, but if I want my creative fluids to run wild I travel and get that boost to go on the sketching board.

MFP: Your current collections range from everyday wear, to evening and wedding gowns.  What would you like to include in your next collection that you haven’t been able to touch on yet?

EDA: I would love to include my own line of accessories including shoes, bags, jewelry and glasses.

MFP: Some of your collections are infused with festive designs and color. Do you have any tips on how people can wear bright colors during these cold winter months?

EDA: Why not? Polar bears are white and they wear that in the North Pole.  None of the animals that live in the cold wild wear anything dark. I am not trying to be funny, but it makes me wonder if Mother Nature is trying to teach us something.  Besides, no one should dictate what to wear for you to be fabulous. You can look absolutely breath-taking wearing bright colors in the cold months, you just have to style yourself right, of course, make sure that you are wearing heavy wools, linings and the proper layering, and let’s go baby there is a dull world out there which needs your daringness.

MFP:  Anything else you’d like to share with our readers?

EDA: We are opening Edwing D’Angelo’s boutiques in Atlanta and Houston in early Spring 2010. We will be opening in Miami and LA in late Fall 2010.

As you know, we’re always keeping a lookout for the latest celebrity trends, so the Prada book launch in Los Angeles last week was definitely a must-see event.

Underwear as outwear is still one of our most hotly-tipped styles for next season, with Chloe Sevigny wearing a striking outfit for the party that really made the most of this daring look.

Dressed head to toe in Miu Miu, the actress and former model wore a midriff-baring bra and cardigan combination, paired with an embellished calf-length, high-waisted skirt to balance the outfit.

Meanwhile, actress Zoe Saldana also embraced the underwear trend in LA, going for an exposed bra underneath a sheer teal blouse and silk maroon skirt.

Bra-revealing outfits have featured prominently in autumn/winter collections from Alexander Wang and Givenchy, and the trend is expected to become even more popular next season.

We agree with Elle on this one – subtly showing off your underwear can create a "seriously sexy grown-up look", if paired thoughtfully with "slouchy tailoring".

We admire Kate Moss for going back to basics while the rest of the fashion world continues to seek the most outlandish new trends.

The British supermodel was featured in Vogue’s best dressed of the week after being spotted out on the streets of London wearing a striped top, black blazer and black leggings.

Finishing her outfit with a pair of black knee-high boots, Kate "stuck to a tried and true formula" to create a fun but functional daytime style, the magazine said.

For those of you looking to bring some stripes into your life this season, we recommend following some recent advice from Marie Claire: "Always wear just one print matched with a solid."

Mixing wide and thin stripes or pairing striped pieces with florals may work on the runways, but we think everyday outfits require more of a reserved approach.

For example, Marie Claire explains that "a vertically striped blouse looks great with white trousers or jeans".
