Nå er vi omsider framme etter en lang, og HØYLYTT togtur, med mye interessant innhold, som alkohol (ikke meg!), kortspill, soving, mye musikk, godt voksne fulle folk, og mye tull og mobbing (spesielt av en viss person som fikk en blowjob av ei 41 år gammel dame! – ISJ!)

Nå henger vi på Burger King, og jeg er egentlig ganske svimmel, for lite søvn etter en veldig lang dag. Gleder meg til å komme fram tl hotellet, for å sove en time eller noe. Det skal bli godt!

I am thankful for so many things.

I am thankful that Twilight: New Moon opened this weekend, so I don’t have to hear any more about Taylor Lautner and his workout regime. I am thankful that Kristen Stewart is off the radar for a few more months, at least until the Joan Jett movie comes out, which I feel has been completely miscast by choosing Kristen Stewart in the role of Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie, which is just ridiculous. I am thankful that zombies have kept it classy and don’t act all prissy like vampires these days. I am thankful that mummies haven’t raised a stink, and are patiently awaiting their moment in the spotlight.

I am thankful that the Balloon Boy’s dad is being prosecuted, even though he’ll still probably get some sort of the television exposure he seeks at some point. I am thankful that all those people lost all that weight on NBC’s big, giant Subway commercial. I am thankful that VH1 finished up the Real Chance of Love second season, and that Chance finally found love.

I am thankful for Victoria’s Secret model Marisa Miller and her $3 million diamond Victoria’s Secret bra. And I am thankful for the massive advertising campaign launched by Victoria’s Secret which has placed pictures of Marisa Miller in a bra everywhere I look.

I am thankful that even in 2009, with all the technology we have, that the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade still is the most flagrant display of mass lip synching in the world, and that everyone on the broadcast just pretends not to notice.

I am thankful for Weezer’s new album Raditude, and it’s glorious shamelessness, its perfect joke being that it refuses to wink and give itself away. I am thankful that the Pixies are touring and playing nothing but Doolittle, which is a rare flawless album. I am thankful that working bar bands like The Hold Steady have a place in our musical landscape, with Craig Finn hoarsely growling great lyrics about romantic poets and beer.

I am thankful that no one knows that I secretly really like the Lady Gaga song “Paparazzi,” and no one ever will. Oh, wait. Damn.

Most of all, however, I am thankful that you, and people like you, are reading what we do here at TBTS. It’s our labor of love, and we’ll continue to do our best to deliver pop culture news in new ways, and we hope you’ll continue to spread the word. Because I am also thankful to have the smartest, most clever colleagues I know writing here. Happy Thanksgiving, folks. Be thankful this weekend, and we’ll get back to more silliness first thing Monday morn. Don’t you worry.

Do you love it or do you LOVE it?

I am behind on my _Amanpour_ podcasting. This morning I watched the interviews Christiane did with  some modern-day royals. It totally opened my eyes.  Some of today’s royals are embracing a role in the humanitarian realm.

I was especially impressed with Christiane’s interview with Jordan’s Queen Rania. Rania not only totally embraces the world of social media…she actually listens to what we mere mortals have to say. Apparently she is * very* active on Facebook & Twitter{ Hmm, I may have to ” follow” her Twitter account} & uses that information to see what needs to be done  in the real world.  Her ” platform” { for lack of a better word} is education…especially  access to education for girls . She told Christiane that education is a HUMAN RIGHT & I totally agree. By not educating girls, societies are robbing themselves of more than half of their human capacity for progress. This is a tragedy but I am hopeful that high-profile women are taking notice and taking ACTION.

I also enjoyed the interview Christiane did with the Prince & Princess of Norway. They mostly talked about their own humanitarian efforts, but they  delved a bit into their courtship. That was neat. Apparently the Crown Princess was a single mom with a young son when she met the Norwegian Crown Prince.

Since that question from the Rossum interview got me wondering about what turns me on I still can’t put a finger on it (agrr, don’t be gross, I mean figuratively).
if you ask me – I have no idea. it’s in the blood, it’s chemistry, a medical fact – whether you like the man or not. I like this man:

it’s weird how many people hate Emmy Rossum. I used to like her. then I hated her. then I liked her again. then I liked Scarlett Johansson and that made me sick so I started liking Emmy Rossum again.
I mean, she is nice. I like the colour of her hair although she’s a bit too thin and virginal kind of girl. and now let’s start with the hate. people say Rossum is trying hard to be the star, to be loved and to get all the attention. and she wants it hard. and she always tried to fit in but never actually did. she just hang around. I even remember a week or two ago I came across her interview where she said she watched Gossip Girl and she’s more like Jenny (the character) if anyone. because she was always on the outskirts and always tried to fit in, she was a ‘theater nerd’. that’s what she said. wtf with the ‘theater nerd’? whatever.
but you do find Emmy talking about herself, you do find people saying Emmy is bitch, you do find people saying Rossum tries too hard and was never (and never will be) the It girl.
maybe she’s the bitch. although you can never know for sure. maybe they just hate her. and you actually know why they would. she is a weirdo. her music is definitely not for everyone and you’d say many people would HATE that kind of music. I personally like some her songs if I don’t have to listen to them in a row. her voice is just too high pitch.
and her talking voice gets annoying.
but her interview (real, long, deep interview) for AskMen helps me understand the haters MUCH better. turn-on in a guy: wit. W-I-T?!! wtf???? W-I-T?!!! noooo, noo, this can’t be happening. is she for reals?
I can’t even put in words my answer for this question but that wouldn’t have ever made me say such a stupid thing. WIT??? god. GOD.

Hey guys, today’s blog entry is about very talented kids. I have been browsing youtube for the most talented children and have concluded the top five most talented children.

I almost gave up on today’s girl of the day. and then suddenly I found her:

Meet Kayla Ewell, Thanksgiving, Los Angeles, 2009.

All right, *squeal, squeal squeal* rejoice my girl friends because I’ve suddenly become interested in celebrities. Or in this case, celebrity. May I introduce – as if he needs one – Mr. Jamie Campbell Bower from Sweeney Todd and New Moon.

Why have I’ve suddenly become interested in him? Well apart from that blasted ‘Johanna‘ song that played in my head for over a month after watching Sweeney Todd, he’s a pretty good actor. A great voice (although reminds me of a high-pitched someone at times) .  This is one guy I watch out because he’s an actor first…cute guy second. He did not even say much in New Moon but his facial expressions were great. Did he go to theater school or something? I dunno…

And, yes, he’s cute. But my dear friends, I have a partiality for guys with long hair. So sue me…muahahaha. Kinda funny for me to like a celebrity like him when the only few that I’ve actually liked are Johnny Depp (I just loved him in Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorshand and I’ve been watching out for his movies since) and Dakota Fanning (‘Come out, come out wherever you are…’ gave me hives that line did and Dreamer was one of my faves).

Weird, eh? A girl who does not really obsess over celebs and stuff? I guess my ‘Barney’ and ‘Sesame Street’ obsession when I was little turned into an obsession for educational TV like Discovery and History International.

I always said “it’s not about who thought of it first, it’s about who did it first”. But in a world where everyone is doing the same [exact] thing, it is now a matter of who did it better. Now we all know Beyonce did the blonde thing first and foremost. She has stood by her Dark & Lovely shade of honey blonde and lace-fronts since the beginning of time. And while Rihanna bust on the scene doing the long light brown weave, people insisted on drawing comparisons to her idol Bey Sting. Then she went and cut it all off, went all black, and sharpened her swag. But she’s back lighting things up, going her lightest shade of blonde thus far.

Stepping into the Queen Bey’s hive, and bodying her classic swag, question is… who does the blonde bangs better? Honestly my money is on Rihanna for this one. The blonde hair suits her well.

Megan Fox is dumb cause she’s just 23 years old. WHATTT?!! I am 23 years old too. I’ve got my MA with honours and feel kinda offended by that sentence. I am certainly far from dumb and have been for quite some time. I do believe being dumb has little to do with age. Little kids are often far less dumb than scientists think they are. Just read some psychology.
So my point is, Michael (Bay) just say it – she’s JUST DUMB. You know, Meg calls you Hitler so that’s what you owe her – throw it out there, let people know the truth: the girl’s just that retarded. Well, it’s not like she’s a total wreck, just a little less of brain than average. And Michael, please, do not offend women by being this sexist. I bet you thought Megan is like this cause she’s young, faces this terrible stress of fame (oh, god, that is sooo terrible, I mean, millions of kids hungry all over the world are facing MUCH less trouble) bla-bla AND she’s a WOMAN. please. I bet that’s what you are thinking. cause women are dumb. cause you don’t meet much women who didn’t turn to be a robot or a male-like zombi and are not dumb.
well, if that’s the case, Michael, you really have to work on that cause there are LOTS of smart, intelligent and pretty (really pretty) women who are there to prove you one billion times wrong! (just ask Shia)

It’s the holiday season and it’s time to decorate! Ornaments, wreaths, lights, baubles, tinsel…RINGS!  Like I’ve said before, I love rings…I always wear at least 4. However, when it’s hot and sticky outside, rings are the last things I want confining my fingers (humidity = fat fingers EW!). It’s just starting to get cold in Charleston and it’s time to break out the decorations. The festive season calls for festive fingers…red polish and cocktail rings GALORE! These pictures put me in the holiday spirit…almost as much as a decked out tree.
