“What do they give you, a choice between Pepsi and Coke?” – Couldn’t be a better summary of American politics… except diet or regular Coke.

I stopped asking people to donate to RP when it was clear he was stuck with the idea of running as a stupid Republican… as if he would ever get the nomination of a party (like the Democrats) that is strictly controlled behind the scenes.  Now his son, possibly always a tool, I’m not sure on that, but it’s clear at this point, after all the money and effort contributed by so many REAL patriots here, that he just simply sold us all out.  Period.  Pathetic… and I am, at this point, absolutely done with politics as far as voting for politicians goes.  Aside from Ron Paul, there isn’t a single politician in the United States that can be trusted completely, especially when they are puppets with the hand of lobbies and bankers up their asses, and the whole thing is broken to high heaven.  The one problem with Ron Paul is he chooses to stay within the confines of control of those that he ultimately opposes, and therefore, will not win the seat he seeks.

Electing a single politician within a completely controlled and corrupt system will do nothing for change.  At this point I don’t know what will… but we need to look at how we are staving off things like the NDAA and apply that strategy.

In 1991, President George Herbert Walker Bush announced the initiation of something called, “The New World Order.” Stating that “Diverse nations will come together in common cause.” Opponents of the plan say that this will only lead to World Government ruled by Corporations.

One such of example of World Government seen in action on the world stage. Is a United Nations organization called, “The World Bank.” According to a document recently leaked onto the website Public Intelligence. The World Bank announced, it would focus its financial resources on rebuilding The Republic of Indonesia. According to the documents Executive Summary, it said,

“With a government that is demanding dependable and timely support for its own development priorities and its poverty reduction agenda, this cps positions the World Bank Group to respond better to these challenges, thereby ensuring the WBG’s continued relevance in the new Indonesia.”

According to The World Bank’s Website, it said of the role played by The United States,

“The World Bank is one of the largest sources of development assistance in the world today. As the largest shareholder at the World Bank, the United States is helping in the fight against poverty in the world. World Bank programs provide developing countries with loans that enable them to improve living conditions and foster economic growth. Further, World Bank programs fight corruption, pollution, and HIV/AIDS and other communicable diseases—all issues that have no borders and are of great concern to Americans.”

 The Executive Summary in the document continued on with a mention of Indonesia’s Poverty, “While Indonesia is doing well it could be doing far better across the areas of poverty reduction, service delivery and governance. In 2007, nearly half of Indonesia’s population was still either poor or had per-capita consumption levels of less then one-third above the national poverty line.”

On Going Debate

While Neo-Conservative Groups such as The Weekly Standard worry that withdrawl from overseas would make us lose our influence. Currently, there is a movement to have The United States completely withdraw from The World.

It was a bright Tuesday, as Occupy Boise played its part in world wide May Day Celebrations and Marches. The group itself, was calling for better pay, Income Equality, and Revolution. Before the March took place, members of The Boise Police Department spoke with the group, about concerns the department had about Anarchists within the group. The Officer within The Police Department handed them a business card. The intention by the police department. Was to make sure violence did not detract from the groups message. One member, would later tear up the card and throw it away after officers left. Citing that they would not snitch on someone over a different ideology.

In an interview with Sig, a member within Occupy Boise. He spoke on what he like to see replace Capitalism, along with, how he defined the current system of Economics. Later on during the interview he spoke on what he would like to see define energy policy.

Group Dialogue
Members of the movement, later engaged in a dialogue/personal introduction session.

Among which, one member of the group discussed the environment, and the impact current energy policy had on it.

Later, an older gentleman who was a part of the group brought his life experience in the dialogue. Citing the dangers of Communism, as well as, Capitalism. Sarah Cramer would later thank him for his opinion. Disagreeing with him, describing the environment as more important than the financial system.

History of May Day
Alex a man affiliated with The Service Employees International Union. Spoke to the gathered crowd of 25 people on the history of May Day.

During the coverage of this march, this reporter was almost ran over intentionally by a motorist while on assignment.
While the march itself, went multiple directions before stopping at Capitol Park.

The use of Eminent domain recently became a debate issue in the late 2000′s. When a multi-lane highway project was being built in Texas. The project, dubbed by critics as, “The NAFTA Superhighway” created a heated debate on the issue of National and State Sovereignty.

The building of the project, also sparked protests. One protest of the project was lead by Radio Talk Show host Alex Jones.

Eminent Domain Debate Comes to Idaho

In a story that originally broke on YouTube. YouTube user Dodeedum, came across a Residential Property to be seized by The Ada County Highway district.

In an interview with a woman who lived at the proerty. She stated that it was in her family since 1948

He stated his stance on the issue saying, “This is completely unacceptable. “Eminent Domain” should only be used in cases of dire emergency or national security.  Building a roundabout is certainly not a worthy enough goal for a highway district to seize owned property.”

Walking towards Downtown Boise’s Bar  District. You will see dotted vacant Commercial Real Estate Space on the way to the intersection of 6th and Main. Walking closer, you see a string of bars. The type of business that stood vibrant during the First Great Depression of the last century. The Bars themselves however, are declining in customers as more people decide to stay home and drink.

Declining Business

An example of this can be seen in the VooDoo Lounge, which was once known as The Catacomb Club.

The bad location, and overpriced drinks contributed to their demise. While further down Main Street, The Bouquet, once known as The Blues Bouquet went out of Business for different reasons.

The decline in Bar patrons have started to take its toll on other industries. One such industry is the Taxi Cab Industry. In the words of one cabbie, he stated, “With the new Taxi Cab Regulations, and rising gas prices. I might as well work this van until it blows up.” This was referring to the burning up of the car engine.
Small Businesses

In Boise, two small businesses had either began to shut down, or had shut down already.One such business, was an Italian Food Shop located on Bannock Street.

The other small business was located next to the Chase Bank Building on Idaho Street. In this video, The Electric chair, a haircut business had begun to pack up. In order to begin going out of business.

Economic Crisis still in full swing

While President Obama has said that the resession is over. Gerald Celente, president of The Trends Research Institute has pointed out that Business are still closing down, and people are still continuing to lose jobs. Stating, “This isn’t a recovery, its a cover up.”

An event is to be held by Activist Group MoveOn.org on April 14th. The event, known as, “The 99% Spring Training” is to take place Nationwide in the United States. According to members of Occupy Boise familiar with the event. The event itself is a, “workshop designed to teach about corruption in the current system.” The system referenced ,is The American System of Government. Many groups, including The United Auto Workers Union have made a call for a 99% Spring.

Federal and State Anti-Free Speech Legislation

A bill that was recently signed by President Barack Obama was HR 347. The legislation itself, is designed to place a 10 year Prison sentence for those who disrupt Government Business or functions. Many 1st Amendment groups, of which Occupy Together is considered one. Stated they feel the legislation is designed to specifically target them. One picture posted on the Occupy Boise website. Other Anti-Free Speech legislation aimed at targeting dissent, was Idaho HB404. This bill would have completely removed the Occupy Boise Encampment. Until, Federal Judge, Lynn B. Winmill ruled that the tents could stay, but the people could not.

Law Enforcment is supposed to do the following in preparing for a First Amendment related activity, “Pre-Event Stage—Discusses how law enforcement will plan for an event or demonstration where First Amendment protections are involved, focusing on the activity that begins when law enforcement leadership learns of an event and must determine the level, if any, of involvement at the event, from both public safety and investigative standpoints.
Operational Stage—Focuses on how law enforcement will respond to the event, based on the findings from the Pre-Event Stage, including the development and execution of the Operations Plan.
Post-Event Stage—Addresses how and whether information obtained as a result of the event (both during the Pre-Event Stage and Operational Stage) will be evaluated, disseminated, retained, or discarded, as per agency policy.“ These guidelines were from a joint document from The United States Departments of Justice and Homeland Security. The document titled, “Law Enforcement guidelines for First Amendment Protected Events.” Contains a section that worries many Civil Liberties Advocates in The United States. In the controversial section, it addresses the role of Fusion Centers. The section stating, “Fusion centers can play a valuable role in supporting law enforcement’s involvement in First Amendment-protected events. As part of the Pre-Event Stage, fusion centers can support state, local, tribal, and territorial agencies as they undergo a Pre-Event Assessment. This support may include the completion of an applicable assessment and the utilization of publicly available material (such as social media tools and resources) that pertains to potential threats to the event and/or organizations participating in the event, including potential counterdemonstration groups.” The Fusion Centers themselves are primarly funded by State and Local Entities with Federal Grant Assistance.

FEMA Emergency Centers and their debated role

Another source of contention surrounding Fusion Centers, and Civil Liberties, such as The First Amendment. Is claims surrounding Emergency Centers used by The United States Department of Homeland Secuirty under its FEMA Branch. According to Radio Talk Show host Alex Jones, FEMA Emergency Centers are to be used for Indefinately Detaining American Citizens under planned Martial Law. Another document released by Public Intelligence, contains a Government Contract bid to build the emergency centers to be managed by FEMA. According to the documents objective section:

To support this mission, FEMA is soliciting for services for National Responder Support Camps (RSC) in which to stage responders
and other authorized personnel and assets deployed for occurrences or events requiring a federal government response. The National
Responder Support Camps contract will be used by FEMA, or by other federal agencies through FEMA, consistent with the specific
authorities of the agency utilizing the contract’s services. During disaster situations or other events, federal, state and local
responders may need a place that provides shelter, food, and additional basic needs. The National Responder Support Camps
contract will be used by those responding to Federal disaster or emergency needs, or any other situation where FEMA or an agency
working through FEMA needs a RSC. FEMA shall be able to call upon vendor(s) to provide RSC services throughout the

Economic Uncertainty and Protests

The 99% Spring is the latest in a world wide trend of Mass Protests. From The Middle East to Europe, and now World Wide. All of the protests have involved Economic Conditions in their respective countries. Which have prompted The International Monetary Fund to begin focusing on Youth Unemployment. While Individual Countries begin cracking down on protestors.

During the hearings on Idaho HB 404 in the 2012 Idaho Legislative Session. Often referred to as the, “Anti-Occupy Bill” by supporters of The Occupy Boise Encampement. An issue involving The Americans with Disabilities Act Occurred when access to The Accessible Elevator Doors were locked down. This occurred during the hearings on Idaho HB 404 began in The House State Affairs Committee.

Idaho Speaker of The House orders House Offices locked down

“Idaho Speaker of The House Lawrence Denney issued the order because of a security risk posed  by Occupy Boise.” According to sources in Idaho State Government familiar with the issue.  A series of videos were posted on the YouTube page associated with this blog.

In this video, I was pointing out that Access to the Elevators were locked down. Disabled people were then required to make an appointment with Statehouse Security to get access to House Committee hearing rooms. Making it very difficult for people with Physical Disabilities to get access to those areas. In the comment section of the video, one person said in defense of Statehouse Security, “Can i just say before you defame the hard work of the staff at the idaho legislature. All elevators have access. The elevators on the garden level in the wing only go down one level and do not go up. Every disabled person has the ability to use those elevators. However, they must be accompanied by a staff to assure they arrive at their destination safely. The high priority of the statehouse is access.”

Jim Baugh of Disability rights Idaho stated in response, “–The staff have been great when they are available, but they are not always available. In any case, people without disabilities do not need to find or request the assistance of staff and people with disabilities should not face this extra burden just to use the lower levels and participate in government.”

Compliant filed with The Department of Justice

A compliant was filed with the Justice Department by Kelly Buckland. The Executive Director of The National Council on Independent Living.  In the complaint, it address multiple accessibility issues under The Americans with Disabilities Act. The Justice Department will be bringing an Architect in the spring to look over The Idaho Statehouse.

Digging Deeper and an Encounter with Statehouse Security.

In the other two videos posted on this sites YouTube Channel. I began to ask around to find out how people with Disabilities were going to get access to Committee hearing on The House of Representatives side on The Statehouse Garden Level. This video is my first set of questions around the issue.

The security Guard in the video toward the end of the video stated, “Thats the way it has to be.”

Towards the end of the session, I went to get comment from The Idaho Department of Administration. The following video was the result of my inquiries.

In which I was told, I could not ask questions about the Accessible elevators, and could not be in restricted areas. The video involving the restricted area, was taken down after conversations with The Idaho State Police.

Occupy Boise’s Response

In conversations with members of Occupy Boise, they pointed out, “Its not like we couldn’t take the stairs.” Pointing out that it would not prevent them from getting access to House Committee Chair Offices. The Group Consortium for Idahoans with Disabilities stated that it would continue to have this issue on their main agenda.

A new trend of Federal and State Government Anti-Trust legal actions have been taking place. The focus of these actions have been on Hospital Mergers.

New example in The State of Idaho

In The State of Idaho, a recent investigation has been taking place in Boise Idaho. The focus of this investigation has been on St. Luke’s Hospital. Whose main campus is located near Downtown Boise. In a report by The Idaho Press Tribune, the Anti-Trust Investigation is headed by the Idaho Attorney General’s Office and The Federal Trade Commission. The current investigation is attempting to determine whether The Idaho Competition Act, and or Federal Anti-Trust Laws have been violated.

The Idaho Based Acquisition

The merger being investigated involves two hospitals in The Idaho Area. St. Luke’s Health System, and Saltzer Medical Group.  According to St. Luke’s Website, it has six hospitals in Boise, Meridian, Twin Falls, Ketchum, McCall and Jerome, along with more than 100 outpatient centers and clinics. Saltzer Medical group has sites in Boise Meridian and Caldwell.  In a statement by St. Luke’s Spokesman Ken Dey, “We have no doubt we’ve done everything right, so we’re going to cooperate fully with everything they need. We haven’t done (acquisitions) for market share. This has nothing to do with becoming a monopoly.”

A nationwide trend

The national trend in The United States was started at a roundtable meeting of The American Bar Association. In that meeting Federal Anti-Trust Enforcers declared that they were going to, “litigate and win” difficult cases. ” In an Article by The National Law Review, the current head of the Federal Trade Commission was cited as saying, ” the FTC will continue to scrutinize hospital mergers that could limit patient choice. ” This was back in the year 2011.

In the comment section of The Idaho Statesman. Two of The Statesman online readers were discussing how these mergers would bankrupt the whole system.

One reader said, “I asked my MD last month if he was going to join the herd going to one hospital or the other.  He said no, because he feels these mergers will bankrupt Medicare, if not the whole health system.  His point:  he currently charges $150 for an office visit, and I pay a $25 co-pay with my Medicare.  If he were to join a hospital group, my co-pay would stay the same, but the hospital would bill-and get-$400 for the same office visit.”

In this years Idaho Legislative Session, Idaho State Representative Scott Bedke introduced Legislation that would evict Occupy Boise from The Old Ada County Courthouse next to The Idaho Statehouse. The bill, know as House Bill 360, is modeled after The City of Boise Camping Ordinance that bans camping in Public Parks in the city. The Legislation, would only affect The Capitol Grounds, and would not apply to those Camp Grounds under the jurisdiction of Idaho Department of Fish and Game.

In response to this particular legislation coming out of The House State Affairs Committee. Occupy Boise issued a statement regarding their stance on the legislation. In a statement issued by the movements Information Working Group. They said of the camp sites importance to the Boise Idaho Community, “The Idaho state legislature has crafted a special bill [H 380 – Rep. Scott Bedke, District 27] to specifically end the peaceful Occupy Boise vigil across the street from the State Capitol and block any future exercise of this particular form of freedom of speech from the Capitol mall area.” Continuing on, they stated regarding the Civil Liberties aspect of the site, “Our vigil is set up in a legal fashion so we are not breaking any laws, but there are those who don’t want a visible demonstration across the street from the Capitol building.”

Originally, the site of Occupy Boise was known as an Encampment. Modeled after the encampments of The Arab Spring Revolutions in the Countries of Tunisia, and Egypt.  In Egypt and The United States, Protestors were handled in very different ways by Law Enforcement of the respective Nations.

Meanwhile, Public Support for The Occupy Movement various from person to person. Examples can be seen in the comment section of The Idaho Statesman Facebook Page, and the movements Facebook Page. In the view of Jeannie Miller, she stated of her thoughts on the movement, “This movement is over. I tolerated it but one of the people in this story was offered a job by myself twice and blew it off to go protest. Sorry………no sympathy from me and go home and if you don’t have a job, spend your time volunteering for something positive. I did that several years ago and while doing something for others I found my own path to a full time and fully rewarding job.” This, was stated in the comment section of The Idaho Statesman’s Facebook page

Dan Meyer, a local farmer in the state had said of the Encampment, “Tell me, how is the encampment hurting anybody? I’m sorry but “it’s an eye sore” isn’t an acceptable answer – not in a country of free speech. The encampment isn’t costing taxpayers anything – so you can’t use that as your argument. You say that they aren’t accomplishing anything – well, that’s definitely your opinion but no where near a good enough reason to deny people the right to assemble. So I’m curious as to how you justify your wish to see the tents gone.”
