My husband and I have been working on building our credit and gaining financial knowledge. I came across a tweet about getting my credit score for free via Double Saving Divas.

I’m attending my first business conference (ever) this weekend in Boca Raton, Fl. So I’ve been trying to find really nice business attire that will be comfortable and on trend.

Growing up as the only child in a pastors house, I felt isolated and alone sometimes. I didn’t have many friends throughout high school and if I did make close friends, the relationship seemed to fall apart. The only person that has stuck by my side the whole time is my wonderful husband who I met my freshman year of high school. 10 years, a kid, and we’re still hanging on.

I’m very grateful for my husband because he has always encouraged me to speak up, open up, meet new people, etc. So’ I decided to start this blog and a YouTube channel to share my mind with the world.

I’m finally stepping out and it feels great to get out of a boring routine!!

I love gaining new knowledge  through books, blogs and videos.

I saw a recent video from Forbes YouTube channel about Spanx creator  Sara Blakely. She turned a $5’000 start-up into a billion dollar company by coming up with a solution that every woman has with their undergarments.

After watching this, I’m definitely going to support the cause and invest in some Spanx

I’m so inspired by her and this is how i came with Motivation Monday!!

When facing challenges like this, I work harder towards  achieving my goals. If I let reality take over me I will fail, and if I fail myself, I will fail my son. I want the best for him and his future.

I have to be an example not only for him but I want to inspire and motivate as many young people as I possibly can.

If you ever feel like giving up…..DON’T!!!

Take a leap of FAITH and hang in there, YOUR TIME WILL COME.

Now lets narrow it down to the top 5 ideas you would choose.

Be sure to do some research on your ideas and this will help find the #1 idea and help you move forward.

What to look for when Researching:

• Competition
• Supply and Demand
• Target market
• Price ranges
• Website ideas
• The list goes on and on….. there will be a post specifically about Researching.

Take a week to do this task.  You can never do “enough” research because there will always be competition to keep up with.

Have fun with this task!!! Get your Husband, Friends, or family involved. You will be surprised how much will learn in just one week!!

I suggest purchasing a small trendy notebook that you can tuck in your purse or baby bag. You will need this notebook at all times because you can be inspired anytime of the day. I jot down ideas , thoughts and inspirations all day and (honestly) if I lose my notebook, I would be lost.

I purchased my notebook from Wal-mart for less than $5.  They carry a brand called Carolina Pad which i have purchased numerous office products from.

Are you still thinking about it???  WHY???  What are you waiting for?

Hurry up!! load up the children and get to the store and purchase your “million dollar” notebook and open the door to becoming a CEO Mom!!

Boy how I could relate, and I’m sure every parent can.

My favorite moment is when I find myself, somehow, balancing my old life with my new. It is me on a conference call, followed by a diaper change and a few ooing and gooing sounds from Grant as he tells me about his day. It is our 6am wake-up routine: coffee in hand, baby on breast, and the Today Show playing in the background.

My favorite moment in each day is when this so-called “balanced” feeling let’s me know that you can have it all.
