Battery LED! Is a battery information app that shows you the charge state of your battery in a beautiful and elegant way. It’s only $.99 for the pro version and it’s worth the money.

It shows everything In an easy to read way.

The app allows you to chose your estimated battery health and it then shows you the corresponding. It is useful but I don’t trust it.
It also has an Alarm that goes off when it’s done charging. But you have to have the app open for the alarm to go off.

The ongoing battle regarding Development Charges in Halton Region has been an up and down battle with a lot of input from all sides. With all the different input, it can get confusing on just what happened in the end. For some, especially those who bought homes in Halton, it seems they got good news in regards to not having to pay the increase.

In my last blog, I was wondering just who was going to pay the freight on the development charges. Fortunately, I have received some clarification on just what is happening. The following is from Oakville Mayor Rob Burton, who wants to make sure there is full understanding of the issue. I invite you to visit the link and see the answers yourself.

I saw your posting about the Region’s financial plan in which you said you were needing some clarifications, and I hope the below is helpful.

This is the Nov 18 Halton Council meeting.

At 41:40 on the tape, Item 4 (the Financial Plan and the payments you are discussing) from A&F is covered. The debate is clear and easy to follow, I believe. It only takes 21 minutes, but if you care about this issue, it’s about the most important 21 minutes you can spend to learn about the topic. I hope you will view it.

The section runs from 41:40 until 65:30 (approx). At 62:20, a Councillor characterises the payment as a loan to the Region, and at 64:00 I ask the Region’s lawyer to clarify that it is not a loan, which he does clarify, and then at 64:30 Councillor Tom Adams asks really clear questions that establish that there is no interest and no loan and no form of promise to repay by the Region, whereupon the debate ends and Council adopts the Plan.
