1.  Article in the Wall Street Journal on Philip Glass is pretty wonderful, but I gotta say, there is a pretty large school of people that would argue the claim that to “anyone familiar with his music, Philip Glass is the original Minimalist.”  I’ll agree that Phil is definitely one of the original minimalists, but not the original one.

You wake up one day, and not only do you find out you are Charles Manson’s son, but some douchebag commenter on the Dangerous Minds article about your discovery says you look like Nathan Lane.  While all that sucks, at least you can rest assured that your pop technically isn’t a serial killer like it states in the same article.  He just had his followers do all that dirty work.

LOS ANGELES, CA – When Matthew Roberts set out to find his biological parents, he never expected the discovery to shake him to his very core.

Matthew Roberts discovered at the age of 10 that he was adopted, but did not begin tracking down his biological parents until 12 years ago.

An agency first found his mother, Terry, living in Wisconsin. She confirmed that she had given him up for adoption, but would not reveal why or who the father was.

Over the course of a chain of letters, Terry finally revealed that his father was in fact Charles Manson!

She explained that she had met him in 1967, and she was charmed, just like the rest of his followers had been. She decided to head to San Francisco with the Family.

However, she said she was raped by Manson at a drug-fueled orgy. She soon returned home to her parents and gave birth to Matthew in March 1968.

Upon seeing Matthew, Terry couldn’t believe how much he resembled his father. But Matthew was devastated by the revelation, saying he sunk into a depression.

Five years later, he decided to contact Manson, who is in Corcoran State Prison for life. Manson replied, and has since sent him ten handwritten notes, all signed with his signature swastika symbol.

Manson said he knew Terry, writing: “I remember her. We came back to LA on the super-cheap train.”

He sent Matthew his phone number, but Matthew has never called. “What I’m worried about is that you think you’re going to meet your birth mother or father and they’re going to love you and welcome you with open arms. But he’s not that kind of person.”

He explained, “If I did talk to Charlie on the phone, I would say, ‘I truly understand what it’s like to be you, more than anyone could ever imagine on so many levels’.

“He’s my biological father – I can’t help but have some kind of emotional connection. That’s the hardest thing of all – feeling love for a monster who raped my mother.”

Manson had three verified children, one of whom committed suicide in 1993. There is a list of children born from the Family that are also potentially his, but none have asked to confirm paternity.

It is with pure joy that I am able to confirm that the father of my daughter is NOT Charles Manson.  I gave my daughter up for adoption also, but, as far as I know, that is where the similarity between my story and the one in the post ends.

My daughter’s biological father shares a name with a VERY famous sports figure, but as far as I know, he has done nothing worse than get me pregnant when I was 17.

I can’t imagine trying to tell her something like that when I met her when she turned 18.  “Yeah, good to meet you.  Umm, your father…Ooo, look! Shiney!!!”

Matthew Roberts, now 41, was given up for adoption as a baby. Growing up in Rockford, Ill., he didn’t know he was adopted until his sister told him in fifth grade and it shocked him.

Like many adopted children, Matthew embarked on a mission to find his biological parents. He wanted to know, most especially, his father and see if there is any identity of him in what the son has become today.

Matthew, who now lives in Los Angeles, started his search 12 years ago when he contacted the Lutheran Social Services agency that located his mother, Terry, in Wisconsin.

He wrote to her immediately and got back an answer from her confirming she is his mother.

“She said she named me Lawrence Alexander and told me she’d tell me my last name some other time in person,” Matthew remembers.

Curious and confused, he pressed his mother for more information until she finally revealed the awful truth in a series of letters. She admitted having been raped by his father in a drug-fueled orgy in 1967.

Matthew, who is the spitting image of his serial killer-father, Charles Manson, is said to have fallen into depression after discovering his identity.

“He’s my biological father – I can’t help but have some kind of emotional connection. That’s the hardest thing of all – feeling love for a monster who raped my mother,” Matthew said.

As conversas vão desde pequenos papos sobre a vida na prisão até questões relacionadas com ATWA – um acrônimo para ar, árvores, água, animais – a filosofia ecológica defendida por Manson e seus seguidores.

O que é realmente criminoso, eles dizem, é a maneira com que o meio-ambiente está sendo envenenado.

Em uma recente conversa gravada com Star, Manson discutia as inundações na Malásia:

“Eles tiveram muitas chuvas e inundações, e um monte de gente está com problemas por lá, por isso estamos enviando pacotes para ajudar a cuidar deles. Eles são meio muçulmanos e meio cristãos, e por isso temos de manter um equilíbrio”, disse ele em uma conversa gravada. “A maneira como vivemos é a liberdade de religião de modo que nós não queremos [qualquer guerra] contra o povo. Nós queremos uma guerra contra a poluição. A guerra contra o povo não vai ajudar ninguém, mas uma guerra contra a poluição vai ajudar a todos”.

Star diz que ela foi atraída para o homem que ela descreveu como “um monge em um mosteiro” pelo seu ponto de vista sobre o meio-ambiente.

Mas Bugliosi diz que há uma atração mais obscura por Manson que vai além do seu movimento verde.

Charles Milles Manson nasceu em 11 de novembro de 1934, há 75 anos. Filho de Ada Kathleen Maddox e William Manson. Afirma-se freqüentemente que Manson nasceu como “Sem Nome Maddox”. Charles Manson é neto de Charles Milles Maddox, maquinista da B&O Railroad, e Loraine Nancy Ingram Maddox, uma devota cristã Nazarena, ambos de Morehead, em Kentucky. CNN 75th birthday video

On November 12th Charles Manson, charismatic leader of the “Manson Family,” turned 75. Manson has been a resident of the California Department of Prisons since being convicted of Conspiracy to Commit Murder in 1971.

It seems that Manson still has quite a following despite his years of incarceration. The CNN video shows a 21 year old Manson follower who sounds just like the girls he brainwashed back in the Manson Family/Spahn Ranch days.

After watching the CNN clip and giving his newest webpage a look, I was amazed that his current rants seem to be about the environment, but after viewing the 1976 “Manson Follower” video below, I realized he had been saying this all along. Just not saying it in a very
coherent fashion.

Corcoran, California (CNN) — At 75, Charles Manson has spent more than half his life in prison for masterminding the notorious Helter Skelter killing spree that left actress Sharon Tate and six others dead in Los Angeles during the summer of 1969.

2009 ต้นปี อลบัม The High End of Low ออกมาโดยความช่วยเหลือส่วนใหญ่เป็นของ Twiggy Ramirez หรือ Jeordie White แม้เขาจะเสียเวลามากกับวง Marilyn Manson เขาก็ยังไม่ทิ้งวง Goon Moon ที่เขาอยู่หลังจาก NIN (Nine Inch Nails) และ A Perfect Circle ระหว่างที่ห่างไกลจาก Manson นั่นเอง แฟนเพลงคาดหวังจะได้ฟัง Anti-Christ style อีก แต่ Twiggy บอกว่าเมื่อก่อนเขายังเด็ก เขาเลยทำมัน

“A opinião de um círculo de pessoas que mentem é apenas um monte de rostos vazios. Houve uma época em que as pessoas morriam antes de mentir, mas hoje em dia qualquer pessoa que é verdadeira é vista como um estúpido, um palhaço tolo, até mesmo pelos olhos das crianças. Mentir é o modo americano de vida, e em poucos anos tudo se tornou amargo. Nós esperamos que os criminosos mintam, mas apenas um criminoso honesto, que não mente, é capaz de fazer parte do crime. Em negócios com drogas e coisas assim, a sua palavra precisa ser boa, ou você morre. Por outro lado, para se tornar grande no governo e na política você precisa mentir. A coisa toda na política é enganar o público. Eu sabia quando Nixon disse ‘Eu não sou um criminoso’ que ele iria se esconder e jogar a culpa sobre os criminosos.

A justiça de Deus, a justiça do homem, e a justiça do dinheiro. As pessoas que fazem as regras as fazem porque elas passam as suas vidas correndo em círculos, quebrando essas leis. Elas quebram todas as leis que elas fazem, elas contam mentiras, enganações, e depois elas fazem tudo de novo e assim o vórtex continua. Se eu pudesse descobrir como as leis de visitação são, seria um truque interessante. Eu vejo alguns policiais por aí, mas é difícil achar um que me olhe nos olhos, e muito menos que converse comigo mais de 30 segundos. Medo e culpa nesse nível são muito altos. Eles me fazem parecer ruim para que eles possam parecer bons. Quantos mais erros eles cometem contra mim, mais eles acobertam tudo.

A justiça de Deus entra em cena, e eles tem acidentes com carros, pernas quebradas, ataques cardíacos, mas o dinheiro recruta mais uma leva de lavadores de prato e pessoas que são incapazes de fazer mais do que isso, e se eu lhe contasse as regras, até você chegar aqui eles já teriam mudado elas de novo, se eles não gostassem do seu chapéu, ou se os seus tênis fossem engraçados, ou qualquer outra besteira assim. Mas se você viesse, eu seria colocado em correntes, e passaria por onde os outros andam desacorrentados, levado por uma mocinha de um metro e meio que trabalha aqui há somente duas semanas, ou algo assim. A minha vida seria colocada na linha, levado em meio aos corredores abertos algemado. Ao mesmo tempo, eu sou mantido longe dos corredores abertos, e eles dizem que é porque eles temem pela minha segurança. Eles não esperam que todos se comportem de acordo com as leis – isso os deixaria sem emprego. Eles precisam de medo e crimes para oferecer proteção ao público. É você quem paga e precisa de proteção. E depois que eles mentem para vocês, e dizem o quão ruim eu sou, eles se sentem culpados, e pensam que eu estou indo atrás deles, e aí são eles quem precisam de proteção. Aí eu fico nervoso com as pessoas que pagam para os policiais me matarem para que elas possam se sentir seguras em suas próprias mentiras.

E isso continua em um ciclo até que eu seja morto, e aí todos vão para a igreja e dizem que Deus deu o seu único filho. Eles dizem que eles não mataram CM, porque foi o juiz quem fodeu com tudo em algumas regrinhas. Eu teria saído andando daquele tribunal, mas havia muito dinheiro para ser feito. E para condenar um babaca por 900 milhões de dólares eles venderam ao público esse homem louco, e me fizeram ser isso, e me destruíram. E na justiça de Deus isso retorna no círculo em que todos correm. As notícias têm todos me odiando e tentando me matar. Eu tenho sido a última galinha na fila, e toda vez que o círculo passa por mim, ele produz mais medo, mais culpa, e todas as regras são quebradas. Quando eu morrer, uma nova religião existirá, e o balanço da justiça não permitirá sobrar muita carne. A justiça dos homens foi perdida em troca da justiça do dinheiro, e quem não mentiria por 400 milhões de dólares? Um livro fez 12,50 dólares por cópia vendida, e vendeu 27 milhões de cópias, sem contar os filmes, etc. Se eu tivesse algum dinheiro, eu não estaria em uma jaula agora. Mas eles até fizeram leis falando que eu não posso fazer dinheiro.
