<title><![CDATA[My Holiday Showdown]]></title>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>It&#8217;s the time of year when giving thanks sounds natural. But when it comes to observing the rituals myself, everything seems to boil down to the sheer act of shelving the relics of my delicate embarrassment emanated from the womb and doing it for real. I know it&#8217;s probably hard to imagine? lol </p>
<p>Anyways, the holiday season has finally come. The truth with me is that I have not been wishing for a holiday like this one for a long time. Because for quite a while, my poor holiday spirits had been intended for some loosely weaved imaginations. However, since things have been straightened out inadvertently, what comes next is beyond wonderful, i.e., my chance to grab the essence of a holiday break, revisiting the things I have lived for. I have to admit that filling out the checklist after careful planning can bring out feeling of real accomplishment. That is human nature, although sometimes it does make me feel at lost. </p>
<p>The true holiday spirit? I painted my fingernails with a bottle of &#8220;tippex&#8221;, and put on the five-dollar yellow tee that I bought at Target during the Black Friday Holiday sale. Everything looks so happy and real. Excuse me, but I live for my checklist now. I will keep you posted on how that goes <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p><strong><span style="color:#339966;">Abstract:</span></strong></p>
<p><span style="color:#339966;">This programme commenced in September 2002 following the launch of the Suicide Prevention Strategy for England to support the target to reduce the death rate from suicide and undetermined injury by at least 20 per cent by 2010. The strategy sets out a coordinated set of activities that continue to be taken forward and has evolved as new priorities and new evidence on prevention emerge. Implementation of the strategy is being taken forward by the National Mental Health Development Unit (NMHDU) in collaboration with a wide range of organisations and individuals.</span></p>

</span>Un plan de trading, lo deberíamos tener preparado, con unas condiciones que deberían cumplirse rigurosamente antes de entrar en el mercado y durante todo el tiempo que dure la operativa, también deberán cumplirse unas condiciones para salir del mercado.</p>
<p>Y es que lo peor que podemos hacer es actuar por impulsos, bien dominados por un estado de euforia o pánico. En el momento que nuestro estado emocional nos domine, seguramente nos equivocaremos. Unas cuantas operaciones dominados por el pánico o por una euforia desmesurada pueden sacarnos del mercado para siempre.</p>
<p>Deberemos tener un plan de actuación que nos diga que hacer en cada momento, si este está bien confeccionado, nos llevará irremediablemente hacia el éxito. Esto combinado con la gestión de nuestro dinero, lo que se llama <em>Money &#38; Risk Management</em> .</p>
<p>Nuestro checklist deberá adecuarse a nuestro estilo de trading, no todo los traders somos iguales, hay estilos de operativa muy agresivos, como estar en el mercado unos segundos o minutos hasta inversores de largo plazo. Con lo cual, ni los objetivos, ni los parámetros a evaluar, ni la forma de operar, ni el tiempo, serán iguales.</p>
<p><strong>Qué aspectos deberíamos tener en cuenta en una sesión?</p>

</strong></p>
<p><strong>ASPECTOS TÉCNICOS</strong>, cómo solucionaremos si nos quedamos sin luz, sin ADSL, problemas con el ordenador? hay que tener alternativas por si tenemos que cerrar alguna posición o alguna que interese abrir.</p>
<p><strong>NOSOTROS</strong>, hay que evaluar si nuestro estado físico y psicológico son adecuados para hacer trading de lo contrario no estamos obligados a entrar en el mercado.</p>
<p><strong>PRE-APERTURA DE LOS MERCADOS</strong>, hay que conocer como vienen los que han cerrado antes que nosotros y la agenda del día, dato esperado, consenso del mercado, dividendos, OPAs, ampliaciones de capital&#8230; todo afectará a la sesión.</p>
<p><strong>LOS MERCADOS Y SUS COMPONENTES</strong>, entrar en valores cuyas características por rangos de volatilidad, moneda, gaps y demás queden dentro de nuestro estilo de trading para no tener pérdidas sobredimensionadas ni el estrés que puede provocar estar en un valor con el cual no nos sintamos cómodos.</p>
<p><strong>GESTION DEL CAPITAL Y RIESGO</strong>, lo que llaman en inglés <em>Money &#38; Risk Management</em>, ante todo hay que preservar nuestro capital ya que es nuestra <em>materia prima</em> para poder seguir operando, sin capital, se acabó todo. Las estadísticas son claras: el 90% de los traders pierden todo su capital en el primer año! Antes de pensar en cuanto vamos a ganar, calcular cuanto nos podemos permitir perder y siempre poner stops.</p>
<p><strong>ANALISIS</strong>, ver la tendencia, tener marcados soportes y resistencias, formaciones, candlesticks, osciladores, indicadores, niveles de retroceso&#8230; Ajustar los parámetros para que se adecuen a nuestro estilo de trading, cuanto más cortoplacistas seamos, más sensibles deberán ser estos. Podemos probarlos en gráficos hasta que veamos que las señales obtenidas para entrar y salir se adecuan por temporalidad, niveles de stops, objetivos&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>ENTRADA Y SALIDA DEL MERCADO</strong>, tiene que ser algo meditado como también que hacer en caso de que el mercado se de la vuelta. Hay que tener previamente analizados los mercados, entrar en un valor nunca puede ser un acto impulsivo. Hay que fijarse un precio para entrar, tener claros los objetivos. Donde poner stops, conocer las órdenes que podemos realizar con nuestro broker</p>
<p><strong>HERRAMIENTAS</strong>, tenemos que ver con que herramientas contamos para hacer un análisis, cuales nos son más útiles, conocer perfectamente la plataforma que nos proporciona nuestro broker y tener soltura en su utilización, ver de que fuentes podemos proveernos de datos, noticias, formación, sistemas&#8230;</p>

<p><strong>Communicate the message</strong> &#8211; It all starts at the top. Communicate the green vision and actions plans to all in the organization.  Have a clear public relations agenda and don’t shy away from your critics. Work with all stakeholders.</p>
<p><strong>Look at the whole supply chain</strong> &#8211; talk to your partners and suppliers and get an understanding of their processes and systems. What are they doing better or worse than you?  What can you learn from them and how can you help?</p>
<p><strong>Understand the returns</strong> &#8211; have a look at packaging, equipment, waste, and product returns. What happens to all of this?  What can your organization do to make the reverse logistics greener?</p>
<p><strong>Reward ideas </strong>- focus on employees, suppliers and other partners. Develop clear plans to implement and reward new initiatives.</p>
<p><strong>Take action</strong> &#8211; when things go wrong take action. Remember it is a process and don’t expect immediate results. Don’t focus too much on short term gain and keep the bigger picture in mind.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p> A successful mediation is one in which the parties resolve all their disputes, and provide <b>hearing contested divorce.</b> Advantages of a <b>divorce settlement</b> in mediation include reducing the emotional and financial distress, and the agreement of both parties can live for I am the one who has chosen the solution of their problems. </p>
<p> This list may help the parties not to forget the questions and important information during the mediation. Ideally,met or spoken with the family mediator before the mediation and that some of this basic information. Regardless, it&#39;s always a good idea for you to have with you, even if this mediation with your lawyer and have already provided these items to him or her: </p>
<p> 1. Having basic information with you, including the date of marriage, and the following documentation to facilitate the consultation during the mediation: <br />
 a list of real and personal property andwhat you think is the fair market value thereof;<br />
 debt, including credit cards, mortgage statements, etc., and the balances in each;<br />
 investment accounts, including retirement pensions, severance pay, and regular investments, and balance of each<br />
 bank account (checking and savings If you and your spouse have children, accounts of the college, doctors&#39; bills, etc.<br />
 (Note: the calculation of child support payments are made based on hidden income recent pay stub, it is a good idea to bring at leastLast 3 months worth of his pay stubs); </p>
<p> health insurance information, including costs for one, and the cost of health insurance for children only if your spouse and children of the marriage;<br />
 any other document which is important for you and wants to talk with your spouse. </p>
<p> 2. A list of things and issues that are important for you to talk and resolve. </p>
<p> 3. An open mind. Regardless of what happened before this point, nobody can changethe past, including the mediator. It is better to look ahead and what you want from mediation to evaluate the alternatives discussed during the mediation. </p>
<p> 4. Be on time for mediation. Even if your <b>divorce,</b> mediation has been scheduled for the day, time allows you to enjoy every minute. </p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Today&#8217;s the day. We thought it might never come but now it&#8217;s finally here. Today Zelda and I are going to see New Moon. Wow, just writing it down makes me almost go completely fangirl-crazy&#8230; But of course this is a special occasion and you cannot simply walk into the theatre, sit down, watch the movie and then leave again. For something this huge you need to be prepared properly! So this is why we came up with a “ten things we absolutely need for the New Moon premiere” checklist. We tried to pick only stuff you can hide away in your handbag easily so no one will envy you because you thought it all out so well&#8230; uhm, actually <em>we</em> thought it out so well, but whatever. So now we proudly present the ultimate New Moon premiere survival package aka everything Zelda and I are trying to stuff in our handbags before we leave tonight.</p>

Because if we forget them we&#8217;re going to get into <em>huge</em> trouble when we try to sneak in undetected&#8230; I got them four weeks ago just to make sure we get the best places, the VIP-seats so to speak.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>2.</strong> A camera so we can take pictures of <span style="text-decoration:line-through;">ourselves kissing the Edward and Jacob cutouts</span> all the crazy fangirls, wearing their best Twilight-outfits, which are <em>sure</em> to be there.</p>
<p><strong>3.</strong> A paper-bag in case we&#8217;re going to hyperventilate because of all the half-naked smoking hot guys in New Moon aka the wolfpack. Okay, and maybe also because of Edward in the Volterra “I wanna get killed because I sparkle” scene.</p>

<p><strong>5.</strong> A note block so we can write everything important down in order to write an amazing post tomorrow with at least 100 details you couldn&#8217;t remember after seeing the movie for the first time. But in reality we will write <em>zero</em> stuff in it, absolutely nothing at all. Because we will be so occupied watching Chris Weitz&#8217; masterpiece that we will completely forget about the awesome note blocks we brought. And then we will have to write a typical “What we thought while seeing the movie for the first time” post and go to the cinema again to catch up on all the details&#8230; which we will, trust!<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>6.</strong> Our Team Edward (probably Zelda) and Team Jacob (probably Soul) hankies in case we have to cry during the whole breakup scene (*false, we don&#8217;t have special hankies but I bet if you search through the internet you&#8217;re <em>sure</em> to find <em>someone</em> who will sell them*)<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>7.</strong> Our special Tayrob tribute movie meal consisting of a bottle of Heineken (for Rob) and a bag full of meat-patties (for Taylor). Yeah, who wants popcorn if one can have this?<strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>8.</strong> A pillow to muffle up a.) your sobs during the breakup scene and the “Bella&#8217;s a zombie now&#8221; part b.) your screams during the birthday / jasper&#8217;s hungry scene, the Volterra scene and everytime Taylor Lautner or any other member of the wolfpack (ahem&#8230;Alex Meraz&#8230;ahem) takes off his shirt and shows us his awesome abs for basically <em>no</em> reason. Hey, you don&#8217;t hear me complaining&#8230;</p>

Just in case ,plaid earmuffs,Rob Pattinson collectioneveryone goes completely fangirl-crazy about the huge amount of abs shown in the movie and you can&#8217;t bear it any longer without becoming deaf. Simply put your earmuffs on and enjoy the picture on the big screen. Best get them out every time as soon as Taylor / Jacob&#8217;s hands go anywhere <em>near</em> the rim of his shirt&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>10.</strong> Okay, this one does definitely not fit into our handbags but I got to mention it anyway: my mom! Yes, my mom will come with us to watch the movie. And since she&#8217;s one of those people who absolutely hate spoilers, she hasn&#8217;t even seen the trailer yet. And didn&#8217;t have time to read the book. And therefor has <em>zero</em> idea what&#8217;s going to happen. Another reason why I absolutely need number one, the camera. So that I can take super sneaky pics of her anytime something unsuspected (well, for her at least&#8230;) happens. Like Jasper trying to eat Bella. Or Edward leaving. Or Jacob taking his shirt off (probably not so unsuspected after the 5th time&#8230;). Or like Paul and Jacob transforming into wolves. That&#8217;s probably my favorite, cause she doesn&#8217;t even know there are wolves at all in that movie&#8230; This is gonna be great! I will write a post about that for sure! Souls mum freaking out during New Moon, coming soon&#8230; <em>for sure</em>!</p>

They gave a brief talk on how important it was to be prepared. The speaker at hand was Dr. Sheldon Marks, and he handed out a book to go with the seminar:</p>
<blockquote><p><span style="color:#ff0000;">Preparedness Checklist</span>. Tools for Survival In a <span style="color:#ff0000;">Natural Disaster </span>or <span style="color:#ff0000;">Terrorism Emergency. </span></p>
<p>An action list for everyone that wants to be prepared to fight back and survive all manner of natural and man-made disasters &#8212; including bioterrorism, nuclear attacks and chemical warfare</p></blockquote>
<p>The pamphlet while at once awesome and brief, the title is truly of epic proportions.</p>
<p>Over the years I&#8217;ve read this 50-page revelation cover to cover several times. I&#8217;ll be sharing snippets and passages from the book as we go forward, and as they pertain to our topics.</p>

It might even give you time to raise some extra funds if you think your budget will be too tight. Shop around, do your math and begin to enjoy your summer vacation right now. </p>
<p>Get All The Family Involved</p>
<p>Play a game, pinpointing possible places on a map and reach an agreement. It is ideal for a cold, windy weekend in front of a fireplace or around the breakfast table. Once you know where you want to go, or can afford to go, think of the cost and do not be conservative just yet. There will be time to adjust the budget later on, if it gets too tight. So make your checklist, asking everybody to remember what you did and what expenses you had on previous vacations. This is another little game… </p>
<p>Three Definite Lines Of Expenses</p>
<p>First of all, consider traveling expenses. Whether you will be going by car or by plane there is a certain expense. Probably your air tickets for all the family can be financed with your credit card, but we do not want to overload it. There usually are installment plans given by the airline, which can be more convenient and will leave room on the card for extras and unforeseen events. Gas expenses mean you are going nearer, in your car and that will be a smaller sum, but no credit there, I am afraid. </p>
<p>Lodging</p>
<p>Unless you are planning to spend some time at a friend’s house or maybe your old folks’ place, you will have lodging expenses: Hotel, a mountain cabin, hostel, a beach condo, whatever. This will be your largest expense, naturally depending on how long you are staying, but it is normally an important sum. </p>
<p>Extras</p>
<p>Extras comprise extra meals, day tours, drinks, cocktails, evening entertainment and awanna. Awanna buy this, awanna buy that. Well, it is supposed to be fun, is not it? You do not want to start saying “no this, no that” to your kids. Sounds funny, but it is all too true. </p>
<p>Add Up</p>
<p>So, once you have got everything on your checklist, add everything up and then think where you can get the cash from. There are special loans with a grace period, so that you can start paying when you get back. You have plenty of time to start shopping around for all you need. You may want to get some new clothing or footwear for everyone and that needs time to prepare. You could even start paying now for some of the items and gain time. </p>
<p>Now Keep The Family Involved</p>
<p>Everybody should have a little chore, like making their own checklist of things they want to take, finding out the cost of entertainments, so as to help with the building of the vacation budget. It will surely be a beautiful holiday and everyone will be looking forward to it and contribute to the planning and preparations with enthusiasm. This will keep the younger ones away from too much TV or internet and make them feel they are useful to each other.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p><a href="http://www.serco.com/markets/consulting/whoweare/peoplesay/jbrinkworth.asp">John Brinkworth</a> of <a href="http://www.serco.com/">Serco Consulting</a> wrote a useful article in the rather patchy magazine <a href="http://www.pmtoday.co.uk">Project Management Today</a>. Most of the articles there are fairly superficial, or thinly disguised advertising for business tools or consultancy firms, but that doesn&#8217;t make them useless.</p>
<p>John&#8217;s article dresses up ten basic rules for managing your project well, at least technically, and I think they make a good checklist. Here&#8217;s my own slightly modified and heavily cut down version:</p>
<p><strong>Objectives:</strong> Make sure you know what you&#8217;re doing, unambiguously, <em>and measurably</em> which means making sure they are specific enough to do so. Prioritise. Make sure everyone knows what they are.</p>
<p><strong>Stakeholders:</strong> Engage with external experts, buyers, end users &#38; their managers, maintainance staff &#38; their managers, and suppliers.</p>
<p><strong>Resources:</strong> What have you got for staff, budget, space, equipment, training? For how long?</p>
<p><strong>Deliverables:</strong> Related but not quite the same as objectives, know what you actually have to deliver and why, and which are more important than others.</p>
<p><strong>Schedule</strong>*: Plan the work in short enough pieces that establish a tempo, that keep people&#8217;s eyes on targets that are close enough to be felt, to give feedback as they are reached, to let everyone understand that progress is being made, and to correct for problems early rather than late.</p>
<p><strong>Quality: </strong>The engineer&#8217;s usual prime focus, so I won&#8217;t expand here.</p>
<p><strong>Change:</strong> Stakeholders will change their mind and need new things, different things. Your team will find some things harder than expected, some easier. <em>Track</em> change requests and their acceptance (or not) so you know what the new changed status is of all the other factors, such as deliverables and acceptance criteria.</p>
<p><strong>Pragmatism: </strong>Work in the real world. Wishful thinking is fine but don&#8217;t let it affect the tasks. Hedge optimism. Mitigate pessimism.</p>
<p><strong>Acceptance:</strong> Stay close to your stakeholders, particularly the ones with the cash. Know what&#8217;s acceptable and make sure it&#8217;s measurable. Understand what&#8217;s good enough: you may well &#8211; and should &#8211; aim for higher than this, but you need to know what will be &#8216;all right&#8217; to fall back on.</p>
<p><strong>Clean Finish:</strong> When it&#8217;s all over, tidy up. Give the team a finish marker (a party, gifts if they deserve them, a short speech thanking them). Feed the lessons learned sensibly into company doctrine. If it&#8217;s successful, make sure all concerned are aware of it, make sure it&#8217;s written up well and appropriately in staff CVs and their appraisals, in the company newsletter, in customer publications, in press releases.</p>

Managers tend to concentrate on cost, engineers on quality. <p>In terms of preventing falls, you&#8217;ll want to look over the <a href="http://www.mnhomecare.org/associations/215/files/CQFalls-Risk-Assesment.pdf">Falls Risk Assessment</a>. </p>

<p>And for the seniors in your family, you&#8217;ll want to print out the <a href="http://www.mnhomecare.org/associations/215/files/Checklist%20for%20Seniors.pdf">Checklist for Seniors</a> that will tell seniors what they can do to prevent falls in their own homes. Remember, preventing falls saves a lot of money. One fall can incur the costs of one ambulance ride, one hospitalization, and about thirty days in a TCU. </p>

<title><![CDATA[Our Family's Homestead Checklist, Thusfar]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[We are new to this transition toward a homestead life. We&#8217;re in the suburbs, with a small back]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>We are new to this transition toward a homestead life. We&#8217;re in the suburbs, with a small backyard. I work at a desk, instead of on the farm. Still, we are making little changes here and there. To my mind, the going homestead mentality is more than just moving to a farm, though that would be nice. I seek an independence from the corporate/retail/marketing-oriented world. Sure, I still enjoy some of the fruits of such a setup. I go to the bookstores. I like my collection of manufactured tools, and so on. But, the more we do for ourselves &#8211; grow our own food, make our own toys and home decor, research our own health concerns, schedule our own lives &#8211; the happier we are. Though we have miles to go, incrementally, we are going homestead.</p>
<p>Thusfar&#8230;</p>
<ul>
<li>We have a small garden at home and a large garden at the family acres. I am beginning to harvest a measureable amount of food from the latter, even storing some in the freezer. This Spring the garden production will increase by two-thirds over what we have going now. Until we have a larger plot at home, this arrangement is a nice alternative. I garden at lunch.</li>
<li>My wife and I each enjoy hobbies that help to fulfill our family&#8217;s need for &#8216;things&#8217; without relying completely on purchases from stores, not that stores are bad. However, as I make wooden toys for my kids and my wife makes sewn crafts for kids&#8217; toys, gifts, and home decor, we benefit. We save money. We know the items are free of toxins. Our lives are enriched. As we have more time to pursue these hobbies, we will bring in a little extra money too. In fact, I just sold my first item on Etsy.</li>
<li>Our family&#8217;s health has improved over the last few years. Since our first son was born, we have moved to a mostly organic diet, probably about 75% of what we consume. We have offset the added cost of buying organics by preparing more meals at home and beginning our gardens, both of which have made us a happier family.</li>
<li>As we had kids, we started paying more attention to medical and dental concerns. We are blessed to have found a wonderful family physician and an equally wonderful family dentist. Both are very holistic in their approach, yet well versed in traditional practice too. Our family physician is supportive in our decision not to inject our children with toxic vaccines. This too has been a blessing, especially in light of the current flu hysteria. I am thankful we made the decision to keep looking for over a year; otherwise, we would have settled, and our family would have suffered as a result.</li>
<li>We looked into a homeschooling cooperative nearby. It is promising. We are thankful that we have it as a resource should we need it. We have decided to enroll our first school-age child into a classical Christian private school. It is small and not too expensive. We enjoy the close interaction with the school&#8217;s staff. We truly know what is going on at school and how our child is doing, daily. Additionally, we know that our child is receiving instruction in moral behavior and religious practice, which is a good thing. No gangs, drugs, or sex at his school.</li>
<li>Energy? We made barely any headway. We keep the thermostat at a more reasonable temperature. I keep the lights off when they&#8217;re not in use. Our microwave died, and we thought it was a good thing. I suggested line-drying to my wife. She has not agreed yet. We do buy local occasionally. So, if you are save-the-planet-minded, I suppose that&#8217;s good. I&#8217;m more focused on decreasing our total need for money. I&#8217;ve plans to improve our home insulation dramatically within the next year. Other than that, there is nothing in the works on the energy front just yet.</li>
<li>HOA&#8217;s make me angry. Of course, I agreed to move into a neighborhood with an HOA. So, I suppose I am mad at myself. Our HOA won&#8217;t allow us to keep backyard chickens. Neither will our city. This step will have to wait until we move. Next year? I could get goats then too. hmmm..</li>
<li>Canning? Starting with the coming Spring harvest.</li>
<li>Composting? I&#8217;ve got a haphazard pile at home. I soon will be setting up a larger better run pile at the family acres.</li>
<li>There&#8217;s so much more to do.</li>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>I think it&#8217;s been well over a month since I thought of starting my own bike project, and my status now? Haha.. just around 2%. I still don&#8217;t have any parts or whatsoever. All I have are tons of websites about bike building, frame sizing, gear ratios and all that. Actually, the 2% comes only from the little facts that I&#8217;ve read about! Haha. </p>
<p>I went to the Quiapo bike shops the other day. I was so excited to go there since I&#8217;ve read in those bike forums that you could get almost any part your looking for. I wanted to start with the basics first. My mission that day was to look for my basic road bike frame. So on I went, going around like a little boy in a candy store but leaving with a disappointed face because I left empty handed- I didn&#8217;t find any road bike frame. They were all frames for mountain bikes and what not. Haha. But at least I got to see how much the saddles were and some hubs. My next place to visit is Cartimar in Pasay. This time, I think a lot of road bikes get fixed here. (Well, based on what I read on the forums I had to sign up to!)</p>
<p>Well, at least now, I have this checklist to guide me on the parts I have to look for. Got this from a blog from someone who wanted to build a fixie as well. <img src='http://s.wordpress.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  Here&#8217;s my 1% haha!</p>

<p>The first question I ask all NYCA candidates in all departments is this question, right after what they are passionate about. Makes for a good conversation and lets them know two things: that they are responsible for being creative and the answer “something cool” will get them a job next door. Not here.</p>
<p>For us the answer is simple. Not easy mind you. It’s what the agency is built on.</p>
<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-723" title="NYCA strategy" src="http://nycagrow.wordpress.com/files/2009/11/nyca-strategy.jpg" alt="NYCA strategy" width="171" height="648" />We create growth in the marketplace. So any idea or execution that is powerful enough to help that to happen is creative.  It’s not about pretty pictures, not about engagement, or the plan, or the insight or even if we like it or the client thinks it great. All those are roads to getting to the destination for sure. But it’s about the growth.</p>
<p>Now much as we think and sweat over them not every idea is what we call a grow! idea. The odds are stacked against each one as it struggles for life. Compassionate as we are with each other – you have to be if you’re going to be so tough on ideas &#8211; we are merciless when it comes to a grow! idea. </p>
<p>Here’s a check list to see if you have the makings of one:</p>
<p>To be grow! work it must be powered by a message that is highly relevant to the target.</p>
<p>It must be true to the core values of the brand/product/service.</p>
<p>It must be executionally inspired.</p>
<p>If you get all yeses you have a well intentioned grow! idea. And once it performs dramatically well in the marketplace then you have creative. </p>
<p>Simple. Impossible. It’s what we do.</p>
