Click edit above to add content to this empty capsule.

This is the hottest new thing in social media and is excellent news for media companies, corporations, charities and you! You can now have something collected from your house and delivered to someone you are following on Twitter if they agree to accept it. You never find out their address, so there is no fear of privacy issues.

Sendsocial have just taken social media to a completely different level. They launched just a few days ago and already the phones are red hot.
Glen Richardson, CEO is offering FREE iphone to the first person to get Chris Moyles, radio 1 presenter to accept a gift! Could it be you? The race is on.

This is how it works

SendSocial makes sending things to your friends and relatives easy – you don’t even need to know where they live.

You can send an item knowing only your recipient’s Twitter ID or email address. We’ll send your request to the individual, and – if they choose to accept – will take their address details from them.

You’ll then receive a notification that they’re happy to hear from you, and will be asked to confirm the collection address and pay by credit or debit card. Once this is complete, we’ll provide you with an address-less label to stick to your package, which will be collected by myHermes, our delivery partners, and delivered in 3-5 working days.

The barcode contains all the important delivery information. myHermes have upgraded their systems to be able to read these: this means that items can travel safely from A to B quickly and easily, whilst giving you the peace of mind that your privacy is guaranteed.

This means that with a bit of a brainstorm, you could come up with a really hot fundraising/moneymaking campaign before Christmas….think of joint partnerships here. Do you have any corporations supporting your cause who might be able to benefit from PR injection? Secret Santa? Competitions?

They have kept their pricing structure simple, charging one of three rates depending on the weight of your package. They don’t have any hidden charges, either – what you see is what you pay. The prices for optional extras, such as a signature on delivery, are explained below.
Parcel weight Price
0-2kg £3.99

Viral game company Koko Digital is to produce an online game for Sony Music to promote Chris Moyles’s new album.

The company, which is based on Keele University Science and Business Park, will create the “advergame” to publicise the Radio One DJ’s upcoming release The Parody Album, due to hit the shops on November 23.

A still from the Parody Island game

The Parody Island game, which will see the DJ starring as the main character, will be released in early November. Previous Koko Digital campaigns have boasted more than 10 million unique users in less than 12 weeks.

Koko Digital was established in 2006 and clients include Red Bull, Curry’s, Historic Royal Palaces and Cancer Research. Their viral campaigns are in the running in a number of categories in several leading industry awards and the company has signed up to be the official viral partner for five high profile exhibitions in 2010.

Koko Digital director Chris Steele said: “We are delighted to be appointed by Sony Music to create a viral game aimed to promote the upcoming parody album from Chris Moyles. We’re sure that the viral will be a huge success and also hopeful that the project could lead us to developing further viral games for other upcoming albums from other artists.”

A spokesperson for Sony Music said: “We chose viral marketing for Chris Moyles’s The Parody Album as an effective way of allowing more dynamic consumer interaction with our album. Koko Digital’s online platform game Parody Island won the pitch because their idea was simple and entertaining while acting as an immersive and fun way of reaching our target market.”

When Alexandra Burke swept to victory in the X Factor final last year, it was her mentor Cheryl Cole who was by her side to support her, as she had been at every step of the competition.

Fast forward a year and Cheryl’s protégée is riding high in the charts with Bad Boys, and her debut album, Overcome, is set for release on Monday, October 19.

Now Cheryl, who has enjoyed huge success with Girls Aloud, is launching her own solo career with her first single, Fight For This Love, which will be released on the same day as Alexandra’s album.

The gorgeous singer will step out from behind the judges’ table on The X Factor this Saturday to perform the track.

Cheryl spoke about the upcoming performance to DJ Chris Moyles on his Radio 1 show yesterday: “I’m absolutely terrified. The nerves started weeks ago. I love performing but I’ve sat for weeks judging people, and then I’m putting myself out there to be judged and it’s a weird feeling.”

Who’s going to come out on top? Tell us which track you prefer – Alexandra’s feisty Bad Boys, or Cheryl’s soulful Fight For This Love?

CHERYL COLE is set to switch places with her X Factor hopefuls and take the stage to perform her solo single.

The 26-year-old, who was mobbed by fans as she left BBC Radio 1’s studios yesterday in a bizarre ensemble including paint-spattered jeans and a fedora hat, will sing Fight For This Love during Saturday’s episode of the hit talent show.

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has defended the celebrity guests on this weekend’s X Factor saying that Robbie Williams was just nervous and Alexandra Burke didn’t mime.

The Girls Aloud star also told Chris Moyles on his Radio 1 show this morning that she’s never watched rival reality show Strictly Come Dancing.

Talking about Robbie’s TV comeback with a performance of his new single Bodies, Cheryl said: “This is his first thing he’s done in ages, can you imagine, your first thing coming back is X Factor. I thought he looked a bit nervous, I genuinely felt like he was thinking, ‘wow, I’m back, this is it’. It must be scary, he’s been through a lot, and I honestly felt like he was nervous.”

Last year’s X Factor winner Alexandra Burke also sang her new single on the show this weekend and Cheryl argued that critics who claimed that the singer was miming were wrong.

She said: “I didn’t think she was miming… It wasn’t a Britney case, definitely not, Britney mimed to her record… I was just so caught up in the whole production and performance… I was like having a whirl of a time that I wasn’t even thinking about is she miming or is she not, I was just thoroughly enjoying her entertainment.”

Cheryl Cole claims she’s ‘absolutely terrified’ about making her solo singing debut on The X Factor this Sunday.

But while her contestants will be singing live to millions of viewers, Cheryl’s performance of Fight For This Love won’t be quite so ‘in the moment’.

Producers have confirmed the 26-year-old singer will be pre-recording her set so it wouldn’t ‘interfere’ with her judging capabilities.

A spokesperson said: ‘Cheryl will be recording her music performance earlier in the day with a live studio audience to ensure she can fully continue with her judging commitments on The X Factor later that evening.’

However, there were no such concerns when Cheryl performed The Promise with her Girls Aloud bandmates last year.

TV critics failed to warm to the five-piece’s live performance of their song and Cheryl’s fellow judge Simon Cowell said her vocals were a bit ‘pitchy’.

Appearing on Radio 1 today, the singer admitted she was feeling very nervous ahead of her performance.

She said she was ‘absolutely terrified’ and told Moyles: ‘I’m going to have a camomile tea… the nerves started weeks ago. Oh God, it’s here, it’s really here, it’s starting on Saturday.

‘Do you know what, I love performing, but it’s like exactly what you just said, I’ve sat for weeks judging people, months, a year now, and then I’m putting myself out there to be judged.

‘It’s a weird feeling… And I’m on my own, like I haven’t even got my cotton wool anymore.’

Meanwhile, her much-vaunted makeover appears to have taken inspiration from a more down-to-earth source – the humble painter and decorator.

The Girls Aloud star looked like she’d been doing a spot of decorating in her jeans as she turned up to the Radio 1 studios this morning.

It is a look easily emulated by her legions of fans – and lots of them were waiting to greet her, including some with a poster saying ‘We heart Chezza’.

All that is needed is a pair of dark denim jeans and a pot of white paint. But of course Cheryl’s probably come with a price tag of hundreds.

Add to that the big grey Fedora and zebra print leather bag and hide bag she carried, and this was one casual look that would break the bank.

The singer was at Radio 1 to promote her new single but she had to face the music over X Factor winner Alexandra Burke’s performance.

She was put on the spot by Comedy Dave on Chris Moyles’ breakfast show, when he accused Alexandra of miming on Sunday’s results show.

When pressed, Cheryl said: ‘So maybe there was parts of it that she had to [mime].

‘Humanly, you go and run on a treadmill and try and sing a song, it’s not possible.

Cheryl’s fellow judge Louis Walsh will return to X Factor this weekend after grieving the loss of close friend Stephen Gately, according to Simon Cowell’s sidekick Sinitta.

The Irish pop mogul missed Sunday’s results show to fly to Majorca following the death of the Boyzone singer, who Louis counted as a close friend.

But Sinitta expects he won’t let down his two remaining acts – John and Edward and Miss Frank – and will be back to lead them into Saturday’s live show.

Speaking at the Yahoo! Yodel launch in Covent Garden today, she said: ‘It was very hard on Sunday. It was very quiet.

‘People were worried about Louis and sad about Stephen.

‘There was no way he could have come, but the show had to go on. I spoke to Louis on Sunday night. He was still very much trying to come to terms with this. It’s going to be hard.

‘He knew and mentored Stephen from when he was a young boy. They were great friends.’

About Louis’ X Factor acts, she said: ‘They are really going to prop him up but it will be very hard for him.’

Meanwhile Cheryl’s elder brother got a slap on the wrist from a judge today after turning up to court – a day late.

Andrew Tweedy, 29, was due at Newcastle Crown Court yesterday for breaching the terms of the suspended prison sentence he was given for squirting pepper spray in a stranger’s face.

But he failed to turn up and a judge issued a warrant for his arrest.

At 9am today Tweedy, who was accompanied by a friend, arrived at court having heard about his case on a local radio station.

Judge Faulks ordered Tweedy to pay £100 prosecution costs – at £5 a fortnight – and warned him that if did not comply with the probation order, he faced going to prison.

NERVOUS Cheryl Cole has admitted she’s TERRIFIED about flopping on Sunday’s episode of The X Factor.
The judge – who has sung in front of thousands during the Girls Aloud tours – says she’s not looking forward to the tables turning on her when she belts out her solo track on the show.

The Geordie told Radio 1’s Breakfast Show today: “I’m absolutely terrified. The nerves started weeks ago.

“It’s really here and happening on Saturday. I love performing but I’ve sat for weeks judging people and now I’m putting myself out there to be judged.

“And I’m on my own now, I won’t even have my cotton wool anymore.”

She added to DJ Chris Moyles: “There’s part of us where I can’t wait and I’m excited to get out there and the other half is saying, ‘what are you doing?’”

Meanwhile, Cheryl, 26, said she wants to help new artists develop their own acts full time once her own pop career has dried up.

She said she made the decision after watching last year’s champ and her own protégée Alexandra Burke go from strength to strength after winning the show.

Cheryl added: “The buzz of it is such a rush.”

CHERYL Cole was mobbed by fans as she arrived at the Radio 1 studios this morning.

The singer, who was giving an interview to Chris Moyles about her single Fight For This Love, was shocked when a crowd gathered outside to greet her.

Cheryl – who dressed down in paint-splattered jeans, a grey tshirt with anchor motif and a matching trilby hat – looked stunned as she fought her way through photographers and fans.

And things didn’t get easier when she got inside the studio. There was an awkward silence from the star when Chris asked her whether Alexandra Burke had mimed on The X Factor live show over the weekend.

After a brief pause, she responded: “So maybe there was parts of it that she had to [mime]. Humanly, you go and run on a treadmill and try and sing a song, it’s not possible.”

Cheryl stopped and signed autographs for some very happy fans as she left the building.

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has confessed she’s never watched rival show Strictly – even

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has confessed she’s never watched rival show Strictly – even though she could watch it on Sky Plus after her live Saturday night stint on ITV.

The Girls Aloud star was talking live to Chris Moyles on his Radio 1 breakfast show this morning when he asked her if she ever watched the other side.

“No, because I’m on!” Cheryl claimed at first. But when Chris pointed out modern technology meant you didn’t ever have to miss any telly shows, Cheryl admitted: “I’ve never seen it, no. I know what it’s about though!”

However, Cheryl took Chris to task when he criticised the singing of one of her wannabe charges on the show, fellow Geordie Joe.

Chris said he hadn’t been convinced by his vocals when he covered Robbie Williams’ No Regrets, but Cheryl countered: “You’ve got to be joking! I didn’t want him to be like a rip-off of Robbie and instead to show what he can do with his voice.”

On Robbie’s live and rather wide-eyed live comeback on X Factor at the weekend meanwhile, Cheryl dismissed speculation that Rob was on anything and said it was just nerves.

She insisted: “This is his first thing he’s done in ages, can you imagine, your first thing coming back is X Factor. I thought he looked a bit nervous, I genuinely felt like he was thinking ‘wow, I’m back, this is it’. It must be scary, he’s been through a lot, and I honestly felt like he was nervous.”

As for her former charge Alexandra Burke’s performance on the same show however, she defended her against accusations she was miming.

Cheryl said: “I didn’t think she was miming… It wasn’t a Britney case, definaetly not, Britney mimed to her record…I was just so caught up in the whole production and performance…… I was like having a whirl of a time that I wasn’t even thinking about is she miming or is she not, I was just thoroughly enjoying her entertainment.

She also said she was “absolutely terrified” of doing her own live performance this weekend.

Cheryl confessed: “I’m going to have a camomile tea….the nerves started weeks ago. Oh god, it’s here, it’s really here, it’s starting on Saturday.”

“Do you know what, I love performing, but it’s like exactly what you just said, I’ve sat for weeks judging people, months, a year now, and then I’m putting myself out there to be judged. It’s a weird feeling…And I’m on my own, like I haven’t even got my cotton wool anymore.”

As well as talking about their joint effort to conquer Kilimanjaro earlier this year for Comic Relief, Cheryl also chatted about her debut solo album 3 Words, and debut solo single Fight For This Love.

She said her England footballer husband Ashley had heard all of her album and loved it.

Meanwhile, it appears that though relations are warm enough on screen, it seems there’s still no real friendship between Cheryl and fellow X Factor judge Dannii Minogue.

Talking to this week’s Star magazine, Dannii said: “I don’t have her phone number. I don’t speak to her outside of work but she’s really genuine and a nice person. She’s the person who you see on TV. I’ve got Louis’ number and Simon’s number but I also don’t see them outside of work.”

As adults we can choose to act childishly.

Amongst ourselves, behaving unreasonably and being found adorable for doing so is a privilege to be judiciously enjoyed.

Children rob you blind of this perk, sprawling greedily all over the territory, like Chris Moyles on a picnic blanket.

If you spend a lot of time with them the injustice mounts until every now and then you stamp your foot and decide that enough is enough and you want your own way and you shall have it.

Bruno has a new book called This rabbit belongs to Emily Brown.

It’s about a well-loved rabbit who is coveted by the Queen but whom Emily will not part with. Eventually, the naughty silly Queen steals Stanley and re-names him Bunnywunny. Emily storms the palace, re-claiming Stanley and his rightful name and leaving the Queen with a teddy bear who (she advises) will also become special once the Queen has loved him well.

The other day I read it to him before his nap and settled him into bed.

But not without the following unpleasant incident intervening:

Me: You see, Stanley is like your Bear and Piggy and Monkey and Dear, isn’t he?

B: Yes, but I haven’t got a rabbit.

Me: Yes, you have. You have this rabbit here, who sits on your bookcase.

This is a very special rabbit called ‘Skinny Bunny’, who used to be Mummy’s when she was a little girl.

Granny used to make clothes for him and Auntie Adele even made him a passport when we went to America.

B: But that rabbit’s called Tom and I want to sleep with him.

Me: No, darling. You’ve got enough animals in your bed now.

And he’s not called Tom, he’s called ‘Skinny Bunny.’

B: No, he’s not, he’s called Tom and I want to sleep with him.

Me: He’s going to sit on the bookcase for now.

And he’s called Skinny Bunny.

B: (starting to cry) He’s not called Skinny Bunny, he’s called Tom and I’m going to get him to sleep with!

Me: (peeling back the Mummy mask) No, you’re not because I’m going to take him next door with me.

Come on, Skinny Bun.

B: No, leave him in here! I want him on the bookcase!

Put Tom back on the bookcase!

Me: He’s coming with me.

HE’S NOT CALLED TOM. HE’S CALLED SKINNY BUNNY.

Look, he’s very skinny! [wrenching up the miniature knitted jumper]

And it says so on his passport!

*

And off I marched, like the naughty silly Queen, to the fading soundtrack of over-tired sobs.

Two minutes later, cross and petulant with Skinny Bunny on my lap, I took a deep breath and felt the adult returning.

So I picked up my rabbit round the waist, like I used to, and headed back to the little man.

Me: Don’t cry, darling.

You can call him Tom if you like and I’ll put him back on the bookshelf.

*

We had a kiss and a cuddle and I walked out of his bedroom, leaving my beloved rabbit with his new owner.

But he is called Skinny Bunny.

The host, who took charge of the show in 2004, has overtaken a record set by Tony Blackburn more than 30 years ago.

Moyles has now clocked up 2,073 days in the job. He has also revealed that he took a 20% pay cut three months ago as a result of cost-cutting at the BBC.

“No-one likes to take a pay cut,” he told BBC News. “But I want to work at the BBC, which is trying to save some of its gazillions.”

Moyles and his team are celebrating the milestone in Plymouth, at the start of a tour of Britain. They will travel to Cardiff, Leeds and Glasgow before returning to London.

The 35-year-old joined the station in 1997, initially working in the 0400 slot.

But the self-styled “saviour of Radio 1″ never hid his ambition of landing what he considered to be the top job in radio.

Since taking over the breakfast slot from Sara Cox, Moyles’s time on air has been extended twice and he has boosted the show’s audience from 5.5 million listeners a week to the current level of 7.3 million.

His zoo-style format has won him a loyal audience, and his core team – co-presenter “Comedy” Dave Vitty, producers Rachel Jones and Aled Jones and newsreader Dominic Byrne – have been with him since the show started.

Sports reporter Carrie Davis replaced Juliette Ferrington in October 2004.

But Moyles’s career on the station has not been without controversy, and he has previously drawn fire for jokes about Auschwitz and gay singer Will Young.

In July, the DJ hit out at BBC red tape and the lengths that the corporation goes to not to cause upset.

Some critics have also questioned whether Moyles can keep in touch with the young listeners the Radio 1 aims to attract.

Tony Blackburn gave up the breakfast show up when 29, saying at the time he was married and “didn’t fit the image any more”.

Earlier this year BBC Radio 1 denied that it was preparing to replace Moyles.

“He has a hugely successful show with over seven million listeners,” a spokesman said at the time.

Lyrics include: “Anything that’s worth having is sure enough worth fighting for. Quitting is out of the question, when it gets tough we got to fight for more. We got to fight for this love.”

Singing from experience we think…

Not happy with her already extensive CV, Cheryl has plans for a fashion line in the pipe line for next year; we just hope it includes some fab footwear!

CHERYL Cole has premiered her new solo single Fight For This Love on Radio 1 this morning and fans are already hailing it as a top tune.

The Geordie icon played the tune on the Chris Moyles show, sparking rave reviews from people on Twitter.

Mark_Byron said: “The new Cheryl Cole single is amazing, if it’s worth having it’s worth fighting for. Go girl!”

DerekBarron added: “Cheryl Cole’s debut solo single was fantastic! Congrats Cheryl!”

ShawnShamrock said: “So the new Cheryl Cole Song is awesome. Sounds like Mel C, Jordan Sparks, Mary J Blige, Rhianna, and Leona Lewis in a blender.”

And JaydyGaga said: “I don’t wanna go on and on and on about it but seriously, with every listen Cheryl Cole’s single gets better and better and better.”

But FluffyRona said: “Not sure about the new Cheryl Cole single – is it a grower?”

Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole has become a Geordie icon after her exploits with the band and her appearances as a judge on the X Factor TV show. Here we take a look back at how Cheryl has grown up in the spotlight.

Cheryl’s debut solo album will reportedly feature the singer in collaboration with Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am, Xenomania and Taio Cruz.

It has also been claimed the 26-year-old will perform her new single on the X Factor live shows later in the series.

One person who will definitely be rushing out to buy her new material is fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh.

Walsh has been singing the star’s praises saying he predicts big things for Cheryl as she prepares to go it alone.

He said: “I actually think she’s the new Kylie. There’s no doubt about it, Cheryl will be a huge popstar when she releases her solo album.”

Walsh added: “Her career is only just starting and she will be the most successful member of Girls Aloud.”

It was introduced by a pre-recorded phone clip of Cheryl congratulating Moyles on being the longest-serving Breakfast DJ in the history of all time (or something..?)… she couldn’t have sounded less enthusiastic if she tried her darndest, but bless her for having a go.

Anyway, enough ‘beating round the bush’. ‘Fight For This Love’ is not nearly as average as everyone was expecting. Actually, it’s really, really good.

It is nothing at all like a Girls Aloud single, i.e. it doesn’t sound like a stereotypical Xenomania-produced Girls Aloud track but with Sarah, Nadine, Nicola and Kimberley at home with their feet up. Hardcore Girls Aloud fans will say they love this record in support of Cheryl, but deep down it may take them a while to adapt to it, like Cheryl is their mum and ‘Fight For This Love’ is mum’s new boyfriend (Metaphor Points = 0).

It’s also not as ‘pop’ as you might have expected. It does have a ‘pop heart’, but this is quite R’n'B as well. Perhaps with a smidgeon of dance. If ‘Fight For This Love’ were a cake, R’n'B would be the main cakey-bit, pop would be the icing, and dance would be the few dolly mixtures carefully placed on top (Metaphor Points remain at 0).

Here’s the good news – CHERYL’S VOICE IS REALLY GOOD. She sounds really fragile and pitchy in Girls Aloud’s live performances, which could of course always be nerves, but on this single she sounds surprisingly powerful. The first verse is a bit “OK, don’t show off, just sing the notes yeah?” but then the chorus kicks in and it’s pleasantly surprising how good she sounds.

The bridge is awesome, the middle-8 is fantastic, and the chorus is ridiculously addictive. It’s quite an optimistic song actually; it’s refreshing to not hear a “FUCK YOU I CAN DO JUST FINE ON MY OWN” break-up song (sorry Leona), but a song that’s like “We gotta fight (fight) fight (fight) fight for this love”. Actually, whadyaknow, that’s the main lyric in the chorus.

You know what the really cool thing is? There have been premieres of new songs by Robbie Williams, Leona Lewis, Sugababes and a ridiculous amount of others in the past week, and even though if we were to be professional we would say they were “technically better songs”, this is the one that lodges itself in your head the most. Hands up who was expecting that..?

Details for Cheryl Cole’s solo album have finally been revealed – it’s called

Details for Cheryl Cole’s solo album have finally been revealed – it’s called ‘Three Words’ and is exactly 7 weeks and 2 days away from release. FACT.

An official statement reveals that “Cheryl has written most of the album herself” (presumably meaning she’s had input on most of the songs, as opposed to literally written the full music and lyrics to the songs on her own), with co-writers including Will.I.Am, Syence (who’s worked with Beyonce), Soulshock and Karlin (Kelly Rowland), and, slightly oddly when put next to those three, Fraser T Smith (James Morrison). The lead single is called ‘Fight For This Love’, it’s out on October 19th, and gets its premiere on Chris Moyles’ Radio 1 breakfast show this Monday.

Looks like we’ll be getting quite an urban album then, although the inclusion of a writer/producer whose biggest credit is James Morrison could be interesting considering the other named collaborators.

It does warrant a mention however that her official website desperatley needs to look better than this. The fonts, the lack of anything remotely interesting… EVEN THE LOGO IS BORING.

If getting up at 8am on Monday to hear ‘Fight For This Love’ sounds like too much effort, fear not – we of course will have everything you need right here.

DETAILS of Cheryl Cole’s debut solo single have been released – and theBuzz has had a sneak peek at one of the track’s earliest demos.

Fight For This Love will be the first release from Cheryl’s eagerly awaited solo album, which features collaborations with the Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am and Taio Cruz.

We can exclusively reveal that this track has been co-written with hit songwriter Andre Merritt, who boasts Rihanna and Chris Brown among his clients. He also posted an early version of Cheryl’s tune online.

It sounds like the lyrics come straight from Cheryl’s heart, following a turbulent few years being married to Ashley, as the chorus goes: “Anything that’s worth having /Is sure enough worth fighting for/Quit is out of the question/We make a stop, gotta fight some more.”

Cheryl’s version will get its first play on Radio 1 at 8am on Monday.
