When you plan a South Asian Christian wedding there are some elements you wish to keep traditional. It can be difficult to figure out how you can add culture while keeping it modern or ‘western’. If the bride still hasn’t ironed out the details of the attire we have a suggestion on how you can add a little  ‘zaa zaa zoom’ into your wedding. We see the dresses often so why not try a white sari. Now, it doesn’t have to  be so boring…sarees have evolved and there is so much out there…..

Remeka & George had a truly magnificent wedding. From the first time we met it was obvious how much of a dynamic and interesting couple they were. 125 guests joined in celebrating their late September wedding. Late Summer is such a great time of the year to plan a wedding. Having an outside ceremony at The Carltun is really the icing on the cake (incidentally, check out their cake below. It tasted as good as it looks!). We started videotaping Remeka’s preparations at her home at about 10:30am. Remeka & George decided to see each other for the first time at the photo / video session at The Planting Fields Arboretum.  We arrived back at The Carltun at approximately 3:00pm which allowed us time to utilize The Carltun’s beautiful grounds to continue shooting.  The Ceremony was set for 6:00pm and was officiated by Pastor Rob Cameron. Cocktail Hour followed from 6:30 – 7:30pm. Classie Sounds Entertainment rocked the house all night. The Bride & Groom chose Michael Buble’s “Everything” as their First Dance Song. As a tribute to Remeka’s ancestry, four bellydancers performed at the Reception to a VERY delighted crowd. The vivid colors look amazing on their completed video production. We at DMS Video Productions were honored to have the opportunity to work with such a fun couple. We wish Remeka & George all the best. Suzanne & Jeremiah met while attending college in North Carolina. Suzanne is originally from New York so what better location to have her dream wedding but at the beautiful  Oheka Castle. 180 guests traveled from all over the United States to help celebrate their special day. Suzanne is in Law school and Jeremiah is in Medical school so trying to plan a wedding while “hitting the books” (so to speak) kept them very busy. Their efforts certainly paid-off. Suzanne contacted DMS Video Productions (that’s us) very late one night. Ironically we just happened to be in the studio and after a very long conversation we both realized we were the perfect match to work together. There were 16 members in bridal party at this early July outside ceremony. The weather was a little threatening that day but ultimately cleared. The Ceremony was scheduled for 6:30pm. Cocktail Hour was 7:00 – 8:00 and the Reception was 8:00 – 12:00. Heart & Soul provided the night’s entertainment and performed a very emotional version of the Etta James classic, “At Last” as Suzanne & Jeremiah’s first dance song. We can’t say enough about Suzanne & Jeremiah. They are two very beautiful people both inside and out. We are honored to have been chosen to produce their video production.
