Stop Pinning and Start Doing!

this weekend I decided to finally do a yarn wreath.

There’s even a tutorial on how to make those awesome felt rosettes that I just LOVE!

and here’s my interpretation:

One rose for each one in our little family: Jon, Me, Christen and of course, Brandi and Beckham!  :)

I also made boo-coodles of felt carnations.

I made the one necklace in the middle there and I made 11 of the necklaces you see on the left and right.

You’ll remember my niece Jessica wearing it from her photo shoot:

The other 11 went into goody bags for the choir kids.  :)

Well ladies, Christmas is fast approaching!

I pray today that everyone is getting their minds and hearts set on the true reason for this Christmas season.

Make sure you play Christmas Carols while you’re “doing” all your Christmas traditions, and include your kiddos.  You’re making great memories!

Now, on to the craftin!

This weeks craftin’ is a little sparce.  I got a mini wreath done and a hair clippy.

I started on a yarn, frame wreath, but I’m waiting on a package to arrive to finish it.

This cute little mini wreath was super easy!

Here’s the pin:

For this mini wreath you will need:

one mason jar ring, a ribbon, and pretty garland.

Start with your mason jar ring

(the socks and Christmas PJs are optional, but highly recommended)

and tie the garland in a knot around it.

Then just wrap the garland around the ring until the whole thing is covered.  Cut the remaining bit of garland.

Tie the ribbon around the the last part of garland so it doesn’t unravel and also use the ribbon to hang it on your tree!

Or your cabinet door, or your front door, or..  well, you get the picture..

I think with my next one, I’ll trim the garland a little bit.

I’m sorry, I didn’t take pictures of this process.  But believe me, it was the easiest flower I’ve EVER made.  And I’m obsessed with fabric flowers.

For this flower craft I used felt, hot glue and a covered clippy.

I can’t wait to branch out and use other material for this craft.

I hot glued the rose to the clippy I covered with red ribbon and this was my awesome result:

Little Sophie will be the recipient of this cute clippy.
