It seems also to have a great faculty for healing: for it found the remedy for giving clear sight, and is said in a legend to know a certain plant which restores life.

But the fiery power of his revolving and circling motion, whereby he ripens the crops, is called Dionysus, not in the same sense as the power which produces the juicy fruits, but either from the sun’s rotation, or from his completing his orbit in the heaven. And whereas he revolves round the cosmical seasons and is the maker of “times and tides,” the sun is on this account called Horus.

Of his power over agriculture, whereon depend the gifts of wealth, the symbol is Pluto. He has, however, equally the power of destroying, on which account they make Sarapis share the temple of Pluto: and the purple tunic they make the symbol of the light that has sunk beneath the earth, and the sceptre broken at the top that of his power below, and the posture of the hand the symbol of his departure into the unseen world.

Cerberus is represented with three heads, because the positions of the sun above the earth are three-rising, midday, and setting.

The moon, conceived according to her brightness, they called Artemis, as it were, “cutting the air.” And Artemis, though herself a virgin, presides over childbirth, because the power of the new moon is helpful to parturition.

What Apollo is to the sun, that Athena is to the moon: for the moon is a symbol of wisdom, and so a kind of Athena.

But, again, the moon is Hecate, the symbol of her varying phases and of her power dependent on the phases. Wherefore her power appears in three forms, having as symbol of the new moon the figure in the white robe and golden sandals, and torches lighted: the basket, which she bears when she has mounted high, is the symbol of the cultivation of the crops, which she makes to grow up according to the increase of her light: and again the symbol of the full moon is the goddess of the brazen sandals.

Or even from the branch of olive one might infer her fiery nature, and from the poppy her productiveness, and the multitude of the souls who find an abode in her as in a city, for the poppy is an emblem of a city. She bears a bow, like Artemis, because of the sharpness of the pangs of labour.

And, again, the Fates are referred to her powers, Clotho to the generative, and Lachesis to the nutritive, and Atropos to the inexorable will of the deity.

Also, the power productive of corn-crops, which is Demeter, they associate with her, as producing power in her. The moon is also a supporter of Kore. They set Dionysus also beside her, both on account of their growth of horns, and because of the region of clouds lying beneath the lower world.

The power of Kronos they perceived to be sluggish and slow and cold, and therefore attributed to him the power of time: and they figure him standing, and grey-headed, to indicate that time is growing old.

The Curetes, attending on Chronos, are symbols of the seasons, because time journeys on through seasons.

Of the Hours, some are the Olympian, belonging to the sun, which also open the gates in the air: and others are earthly, belonging to Demeter, and hold a basket, one symbolic of the flowers of spring, and the other of the wheat-ears of summer.

The power of Ares they perceived to be fiery, and represented it as causing war and bloodshed, and capable both of harm and benefit.

The star of Aphrodite they observed as tending to fecundity, being the cause of desire and offspring, and represented it as a woman because of generation, and as beautiful, because it is also the evening star-

“Hesper, the fairest star that shines in heaven.” [Homer, Iliad 22:318]

And Eros they set by her because of desire. She veils her breasts and other parts, because their power is the source of generation and nourishment. She comes from the sea, a watery element, and warm, and in constant movement, and foaming because of its commotion, whereby they intimate the seminal power.

Hermes is the representative of reason and speech, which both accomplish and interpret all things. The phallic Hermes represents vigour, but also indicates the generative law that pervades all things.

Further, reason is composite: in the sun it is called Hermes; in the moon Hecate; and that which is in the All Hermopan, for the generative and creative reason extends over all things. Hermanubis also is composite, and as it were half Greek, being found among the Egyptians also. Since speech is also connected with the power of love, Eros represents this power: wherefore Eros is represented as the son of Hermes, but as an infant, because of his sudden impulses of desire.

They made Pan the symbol of the universe, and gave him his horns as symbols of sun and moon, and the fawn skin as emblem of the stars in heaven, or of the variety of the universe.’

It is small, but mighty. On a lsland not far from the mainland, Livan-drea occupies a tiny pocket but its heart is larger than many lives I know put together.

Some called it a fortress City yet it was more the size of a Village. It was mighty since the River anchored it and drove its industry, trade, animals and peoples. Impossibly large sailing vessels occupied its waterways, tightly packed boats with equipment treacherously set sail time after time, only a few to return from the fight to make a living to supply food from the ocean to the outer regions. Interestingly enough the Cattalin region was a sister city although thousands of miles away, its spirit and legend based on its land, now also as Livan-drea, in decline. Geography is important and until you are sent into an unknown land you do not realize the necessity and purpose of the geography you inhabit. I was fortunate to inhabit Livan-drea, to live in its fair walls.

I had requested natural resources, waterways and wide open space. I was granted all three. Time travel permitted that I wait at least one season before I go. The preparation required was longer that I imagined. It honed my patience further and whetted my appetite. One season meant a undetermined period until Chronos and Kairos overshadowed one another. All I could do was watch the celestial beings, the stars, the earth to await the bidding. I knew I was ready to meet her and whether she knew it or not, she was too. I was happy when I was sent to Livan-drea since its history was rich with animals, people and half breeds who selflessly had given their lives for the preservation of el futuro. In essence against all odds these ones struggled against natures cruel tempests, they were the true adventurers and soldiers of the land. Foreigners would come to benefit off of their labour and they would pay a high price for the red flesh of the surrounding sea.

“Kiera was being prepared for her eventuality, for her place in the story and to tell a pre-determined story that would weave an entire community together. The story stronger than the fiercest winds would direct her yet she in turn would affect the outcome of the story unbeknownst to her, it would be her own strength that would meet the wager. I live in the Monastery with a view of the Foundry, 8 minutes from the Foundry to be exact. Most days except one, play out to a rhythm. A pattern well familiar to us for centuries. We go to the pace of the seasons here. There is no other way. Best to submit to the natural world and it’s moods and temperaments. The natural world being the elements and all that it brings or takes away. We have discovered that fighting the rhythm is a waste of our precious time. Since the time we have is limited we cannot afford to squander it on efforts that are misdirected.

Kiera had travelled a long ways for far too long. It was her own choice to do so. She knew very little at the beginning, in fact her path was a moderately difficult one for she had to collect instruments and tools along the way and teach herself to use them without instruction. She was described to me as impetuous, full of folly like a child who is untaught. This roused my curiosity and I knew from the beginning that I had a natural affection for her. When I was told she was a Liger, I was honoured. For Liger’s—although half-breeds, were mixed with the blood of the Lion. Their dna long sought after for their imprints. The strands in their dna were a vanishing phenomenon. So it was upon me to receive her and bring her into the period of her journey that would reveal her true nature.

My part was to guide, to walk with her into and beyond Livan-drea. I was eager to meet her and whisper the ancient word to her that would give her the elixir, a preparation that was supposedly able to change metals into gold, sought by alchemists, universally….

I found the above quotation at the Vigilant Citizen  website and it describes perfectly the manipulation used in the Entertainment industry . In film , TV , music videos and computer games, symbols are being deliberately placed to mainpulate the subconcious of the public . I touched on this in two previous posts Swine Flu and the Hidden Persuaders  and Homer Simpson-Freemason ? and have now found another example of this in the latest song from The Black Eyed Peas -  Meet Me Halfway . I would ask you to watch their video first and then watch it one more time after after I have pointed out  the various symbols and images put into it so you will be able to see them with your concious mind . The video has been ‘ disabled by request ‘ , so here is a direct link to You Tube - Meet Me Halfway .

In no order of preference , these are the various symbols and images which are included in the video :

• Inverted Triangle ( worn by the man in the desert )
• Rotating pyramid
• Rotating cube
• Spiral ( in the desert sand )
• Sun
• Saturn

There may be more , but these are the ones I have spotted . The first four symbols are ‘ Sacred Geometry ‘ shapes which are meant to be the building blocks of the physical universe . To be honest , my brain freezes with this subject but for a better understanding , please go to Sacred Geometry .

The last two are more obvious . The Sun has been worshipped for milennium and may be the first ‘ God ‘ who mankind revered . It is one of Freemasonry’s main symbols and was also worshipped by the Aztecs and the ancient Egyptians and can also be found in mainstream religions like Hinduism and Christianity ( Christmas and Easter are ancient pagan Sun dates ) .

Saturn is the Roman equivalent of Chronos , the God of Time . For a long time , it was thought to be the furthest planet in the Solar system and this probably  explains its pre-eminence in occult circles . Saturday is named after Saturn and in Judaism it is a holy day . Like Christmas , this was originally a pagan day . More disturbingly, Satan has been identified with Saturn.  

These images are not put in the video by chance . They are deliberately placed there to alter our subconcious and thereby our concious thoughts and actions . They are mainly aimed at a young audience , as the subconcious of older people is less open and more difficult to manipulate . To impose these symbols into the subconcious is rape . I don’t know exactly what effects they have , but they must be very important for all this effort and money to be spent . Only the ‘ black ‘ magicians , who make these videos and films , know what they are , but the good news is it appears if you are conciously aware of the symbols , your concious mind can block them . I do not want to reduce your enjoyment (I really like the song) but be aware of what you are watching and the effect it may have on you .

Yesterday I forgot to mention Chronos another show I really enjoy. This show is basically a high-tech version of adult, team hide-and-go-seek. Each week the show takes place in a different setting with a different theme. It could be in the heart of Shinjuku or in a small Edo period of town. The contestants try to avoid being caught by Hunters–basically Agent Smith type sentinals. If a hunter touches the contestant he is out. For every minute the contestant stays alive, they gain a certain amount of money. Throughout the show there are various missions that the contestants are alerted to via cellphone. They must complete these missions to stay alive–or sometimes just to earn extra money, or to make the Hunter’s job more difficult.

also, to add to the experience here is the most annoying commercial in Japan as of late. Also, by annoying I mean it is always stuck in my head and it subconciously makes me want to be a modern day Beatle with a speech impediment (the joke of this commercial is that they can only say the sound the spray bottle makes.)
