Frankie confirmed to TMZ that Brody is indeed single. See video at around 17:27. Of course, some still believe that Brody and Jayde are playing some sort of Chuck and Blair Gossip Girl game with their real life relationship, going to extensive lengths to fake everyone out. You be the judge.

Either way, Frankie says he and Brody are abstaining from alcohol for three months to prepare for their bromantical boys trip in March (aka Spring Break). TMZ points out that Brody and Frankie are eternal frat boys; only they still take spring break trips long after their college years have expired.

I’ve finally caught up with the third season of Gossip Girl. The ending was such a cliffhanger. I want more !! The next episode is supposedly airing in March of 2010. As most fans would know, Serena and Nate are finally getting together in that episode. If you didn’t .. I’m sorry I just ruined it. Well, the last episode right now ended off pretty well. I know it’s making me curious to find out what happens next. Chuck might have just found his mother who he thought was dead all his life. Plus, Tripp left after Nate punched him on the face, so who knows what’s going on with Tripp and Maureen. Plus, Dan just told Vanessa he loved her. Vanessa’s response wasn’t exactly expected, so I don’t know how that’s going to turn out. Jenny is getting worse each episode, although even with her attitude, I love her character. I kind of wish that by the end of the show, Nate and Jenny are together. Here’s a clip that I liked:

Gossip Girl is not a show I watch, nor is it a show I’m interested in watching.

I don’t even know when it’s on, or what channel it’s on.

Actually, no, wait… I think it’s on the CW. Yes? No?

If I had a penny for every time I’ve watched the CW, I wouldn’t have any pennies.

Because — get it?!?!? — I don’t watch the CW.

But anyway, up until semi-recently, all I knew about the show was there was some character on it whose name was Chuck Bass.

For the longest time, I’d never heard it pronounced. I’d only read it. I thought it was Chuck Bass as in, like, Chuck BASE. Like “bass” as in “You can hear the bass in my ride rumbling all the way down the block.” And in so thinking, I was all like, “Chuck Bass??? Awww snap! Chuck Bass! That’s dope! I wish I were named Chuck Bass! Then I could be a rapper and not need a stage name!”

But then I learned Chuck Bass was actually Chuck Bass, as in, like, bass, the fish. And then I was all like, “Chuck Bass? What the eff? That’s a terrible name. Screw that.”

And then recently, an episode of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon introduced to me the aesthetically superior life force that is Blake Lively. And in so being introduced, I learned she was on Gossip Girl.

What I decided about Blake Lively within the first millisecond of seeing her is as follows — and I’ll recite it verbatim to how the thought formed in my head as it formed: “Oh… Wow. Now that is an attractive human being.”

Then I saw her on SNL a few weeks ago. And I got concerned; she looked kinda tall. Then I decided to ask my trusty friend, Internet, how tall she is. Internet sorta ruined it for me when he informed me she was 5′ 10″. But he also reminded me Blake Lively is still attractive at a level that makes you incapable of doing nothing more than nodding in agreement with a really serious look on your face and your chin on your fist with a finger curled over your mouth.

But I’d still felt it was ruined. Sorta. At the very least, I couldn’t undo knowing she was so tall.

It’s okay, though. Because then I remembered that Blake Lively, like everyone inside of the TV box, doesn’t exist in real life. So she can join Eva Mendes and Erin Andrews as my pretend TV world co-girlfriends.

And since I don’t watch Gossip Girl — despite the knowledge of Blake Lively’s existence inside of the TV box having made a strong argument for me to reconsider — I plan to dismiss the correct pronunciation of Chuck Bass’ name, and pronounce it from here on out as the hip hop friendly, and all-around better-sounding, ”Chuck BASE.”

I’m also considering taking up rapping — outside of screaming “IT’S THE THUGGISH RUGGISH BO-OOOOONE!!!!” in a crazy falsetto while driving around listening to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony — and opting for Chuck Bass as my emcee handle.

I apologise again for the absence, but this time my reason is more legit than FUCK MY LIFE I HAVE A HEADACHE AND AN AVERSION TO COURSEWORK. This time I was away because I was here:

And doing things I have never done before in my life, like singing with Spanish people and drinking German cocktails and visiting Stasi prisons. It was tiring and cold and snowy and hormonal but also generally one of the best trips I’ve been on, save the odd ill friend and laddered pair of tights.

And now I’m home, which was excellent for the first hour or so when it was like WILL! BED! INTERNET! CHICKEN PIE! GAVIN AND STACEY! GOOOSSIIIPPP GIIIRRRLLLLL!!!!!! and all was good with the world. But then I woke up to the cold and nobody in the house except for two builders and a suitcase full of unpacked clothes and no post, which is a bummer, because if these sequinned hotpants don’t come in the post tomorrow? I’M GOING TO BE ONE COLD-ASS MINNIE MOUSE.

So now begins the comedown.

But before I go miserable on you again, a word on Gossip Girl: I’m starting to worry that The Hottest Person Ever Called Chuck™ is starting to like Miss Epic Legs, and this is A TERRIBLE MOVE, not only because hello, Blair + Chuck = forever, but also because WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO WRITE ME IN AS HOT NEW NEIGHBOUR? Time is running out. Write Chuck with Jenny and when I arrive in the Presidential Suite of Chuck’s hotel HE WILL NOT EVEN FLINCH because hello, LEGS!

Nobody else seems to have picked up on this Chuck-Jenny thing so you know, maybe I’m wrong. I totally hope I am. Or maybe they’re just not picking up on it because they’ve just been mindfucked by the whole Dan-Vanessa-Olivia threesome, which may have been the best storyline so far this season (because it meant Hilary Duff finally got the message that LIZZIE MCGUIRE IS NOT COOL ENOUGH FOR THE UPPER EAST SIDE), but it was also weird and trippy and ew, Vanessa-Dan sex. Gross.

I love Gossip Girl so much.

I wish I could apply this love to Christmas shopping, because I hate it (I also hate people who talk about it incessantly, but you know, whatever. If you can’t beat them, join them). So much so that I haven’t given it any thought at all until now, when someone was all, when shall we exchange presents? And I was all, erm, WHEN MY BRAIN HAS PROCESSED THE IDEA THAT IT IS CHRISTMAS IN A WEEK. Which should happen in about a month. So maybe never?

Time is a cruel and manipulative thing.

Christmas makes me into a bad person: I hate deadlines and pressure and spending my money on other people because yes, bite me, I would rather I have that LBD from Topshop than you have this lame-ass novelty soap set. Because I know what you’re going to do with it. You’re going to smile and say thank you and then you’re going to put the little shampoo and conditioner and shower gel and body scrub bottles somewhere in your bathroom. And then they are going to stay there. And then they are going to stay there some more. And then your mother is going to find them at the back of a drawer in two years time and be all, do you want these? And you’ll be like, nah. And then it will all be flung in the bin, all £4.99 of it, and the same will be happening all across Basingstoke with little cosmetics sets and pairs of earrings and cheapy perfumes because NOBODY WANTS THEM. And my LBD from Topshop? Long gone.

Basically I hate it, but of course you can’t just be like, no presents this year guys! I want a new dress and to be able to have the extra shot in my next cocktail. Because life doesn’t work that way. You have to conform and be polite and pretend not to be selfish, even though you are. You have to listen to people’s little anecdotes and problems and jokes and smile and nod and assure and laugh and pretend desperately that you care, but really? You just want to indulge in your own anecdote and moan about your own life and tell your own joke.

But needs must, so I’m going shopping tomorrow, and by Sunday I will be poor and have nothing to show for it. If I could I would get you all the thing you wanted most in the world. I’d get people things they really needed, like rent, or life insurance, or deodorant*. And if I ever end up being rich I will do that. And then it won’t feel like a waste. But until then I hope you all enjoy not using your lame cosmetics kits.

I hope you don’t all think I’m a horrible person now. Because I’m not. I have a charming anecdote about me, a German tramp and a Diet Coke that I could tell you and which would blow that horrible person theory right out of the window, but I won’t, because you probably don’t want to hear it. And because my eyes are going all hot and blurry like they do when you’ve been in Germany for five days with next to no sleep and much too much alcohol for 7am wake up calls. So maybe next time.

A picture says a thousand words. You don’t even need sound or motion to see the chemistry these two amazing actors have on screen together. This image is from the 3.05 “Rufus Getting Married” episode which aired a couple of episodes ago, but I still maintain that it is probably one of their bests photos together to date. Hottness exudes from their pores. And while they may have finally admitted their feelings to each other and embarked on a relationship where they are actually loving and caring to each other; they still have their old qualities from their scheming ways and underneath it all, they are still the Chuck and Blair I fell in love with way back 1.06 “Victor/Victrola”.

But after the last epsiode, 3.12 “The Debarted” – I was reminded of why I am so in love with the idea of Chuck and Blair. Ed Westwick displayed acting abilities way beyond his years, as well as Leighton Meester, and it nearly moved me to tears. When I see these two together, I want them to get married and have lots of babies. I want to adopt one of those babies just so I can have a little bit of Ed and a little bit of Leighton with me forever.

I: Chuck Bass’s YOUNG – he’s only like, 20, which makes me uncomfy. But other than that, he’s good to go.

L: I think you should write a cradle-robbing fic about two fly chicks named Ivey and London who have bawdy, raucous, awesome sexytime with CB and Paolo Nutini. I want to use PN’s mouf as a trampoline, nawmean?

I: So do Ivey and London meet up with CB and PN in Europe? Are CB and PN frenz? They’re so wonderfully foreign. Our Euro vaycay would include a lot of wine and smoking and sexy lighting. And there must be a montage of CB and PN taking us around the city on their Vespas while they’re wearing skinny jeans and motorcycle jackets. And then there’s some sil moment where we can’t understand their wonky accents and we all have a good laff. So I don’t want to do it at the hostel we’re staying at… where do we go? A hotel? Do CB and PN have an apartment? I must know where the sexytime takes place!

L: I know! You’re too good to get done in a hostel. Put that on your resume. I think we should get laid all over Europe! The bathroom of a pub! Atop the Eiffel Tower! Sigh, but okay, back up. I want more seduction than that. I must feel something for these guys and really root for ourselves, like I did for us at Chili’s. Are there obstacles? Am I crying with my face in CB’s lap at the idea of having to go back to the States and you have to smack me and tell me we’re only in Europe for a week and not to ruin it for you? When I come home, I’m all distraught and emotional and I play my messages and there’s CB’s intense voice on my answering machine and I weep for him. But then he shows up at my sister’s wedding in a sweater vest, offering me birfdaie cake… Oh, dear. I’m combining too many fantasies.

L: Yes, you’re right — we need a plot. I like how you’re invested in your European romance, but I’m trying to shake it off like it means nothing. “It’s just doin’ it, plain and simple! And he’s too young for me!” I won’t let myself fall! And PN has to somehow step up to the plate to prove that he’s more than just a yummy mouf. I make himself express himself, hey hey hey hey.

I: TROO! These boys are too young for us so I shouldn’t attach myself. Oh, we’ll teach them so much! This’ll be sort of like that movie “Sideways” only less ugly and old. I scratch all the stuff about me pining for him. I won’t do it! We’re just two free-spirits on a vacation of love.

L: Maybe after the summer of love, it’ll cut to, like, 10 years later, when they’ve actually become men and have the emotional capacity to woo us. They’ve pined for a decade!

I: Will we have children and husbands when CB and PN come to woo us?

L: When PN and CB come to woo us, we’ll be married with children — howevs, the bebes look like them! And we’re like, “Please, please, understand! We’re in love with some other men! And what they couldn’t give us–whoa oh oh oh–was the one single thing that you ca-ah-ah-an-ah-ah-annnn!”

The Gossip Girl Review: Chuck Bass Sees Dead People

"The Island still needs you, Chuck."

So between planning the holiday party and the next glorious opportunity to shoot Serena’s boobs, the Gossip Girl producers asked the writers, “What was our biggest triumph last year?” The whole room said in unison, “Bart’s funeral,” and they were right. We got incredible performances out of Chuck and Blair, a really emotional ending, gripping and uncomfortable situations for pretty much all the characters, and a feeling that 2009 was going to be EPIC.

In short, the cake was a lie.

Bart Bass’ funeral episode was incredible because they just gave Chuck the damn ball and let him run roughshod over everyone. That’s it. This time around, I don’t know. The way they worked in Bart’s influcence over Chuck was just plain odd. For the Lost watching audience, there was no way to watch that and not think, “Did they just turn Bart into Christian Shepherd? What the hell is going on?”

I didn’t get it. Can’t we just throw Chuck the damn ball again and let him do what he does best? He didn’t need some ghost of fathers’ past last year and he certainly doesn’t need it now. It was too much, and sadly it took a lot of power out of what could have been a great Blair/Chuck episode, which we always enjoy.

For all of season three we’ve been watching Chuck come to Blair’s rescue, with maybe one or two exceptions. This episode was Blair’s chance to show us that she’s the strong one, to remind us that she IS a fierce force of good for those she loves…and they watered her down with the ghost of BART BASS? Get off my plane. On to the review!

SERENA: WHERE GUEST STARS GO TO DIE

"Seriously, what's with the giant countdown clock?"

Serena Van Der Woodsen Bass Humphrey is Gossip Girl’s relationship hurricane. Love interests spring up in her path, get thrown around and buffeted worse than a suicidal Weather Channel on-site reporter, and are thrown out to sea and never heard from again.

This starts an interesting conversation about which TV guest star roles would actors only be half-grateful for. I’ll take a stab at three: an enemy of Ben Linus, girlfriend of Tim Riggins, and Vanessa Abrams. You’re happy to be on the show, buuuuuut…

So the town of Tripp Van Der Bilt lies in Hurricane Serena’s path and suffers the same fate as the city of That Rose Kid No One Liked, the village of Carter Bazin, the principality of Con Artist Guy, the Dan Humphrey commune, and Nate Archibald outlet stores. I liked that this time none of it was Serena’s fault…except that fact that she exists for no other reason that to get in really uncomfortable immature situations. Because, you know, lots of girls get accidentally married in Spain and then have affairs with married politicians a few months afterwards!

I’m saying Serena’s an idiot, but this time it’s not totally her fault. For those of you who may not understand what Gossip Girl tried to do with Tripp’s accident, in 1969 Ted Kennedy drove off a bridge in Martha’s Vineyard with a 28 year old girl in the car. He fled the scene and she drowned. The only differences are GG couldn’t afford a bridge and Serena’s not dead…on the outside.

Just so we’re clear, if you’re missing the connections between the Van Der Bilts and the Kennedys in this series, you’re dead to me.

I don’t know if we’ll be seeing Tripp any time soon, which is a bit sad because I liked him a lot more than all the other guest stars who go on the Serena relationship trail of tears. That said, good guest stars do pop up from time to time (We need more Cyrus face time! Not enough!) A departing Tripp means the all-new reincarnation of Nate Archibald: Boyfriend, which makes me happy because Serena really has become the new Nate.

(Fine, let’s talk about Nate and Dan.)

Chace Crawford discovers too late that Penn refuses to wear pants for close ups.

Nate Archibald is the Vincent Chase of Gossip Girl. He just magically appears in helicopters with beautiful women, and if you think his dorm room doesn’t have a turnstile right by the door you lack imagination or a spec script for “How I Met Your Mother.” (I’m looking for agents.)

Nate also insists on giving love advice, which is also LOL-worthy. Great example: Archie telling Dan that he needs to go on the trip with Vanessa so he can fight for the girl he loves. Solid strategy, Nathan. How’d that go last week?

While I’m being vindictive, “Paul Hoffman’s a douche?” C’mon, Gossip Girl! Would it REALLY be that hard to put my name in there? My name’s delightfully pretentious! I deserve some name time!

So Dan totally takes Nate’s advice to stand up and fight for the girl he loves by watching Vanessa’s Wiccan friend in a porn flick. Actually, I give this move a thumbs up. Dan’s picking his battles and there’s nothing more college than avoiding love troubles with sex. Trust me.

For the two of you who are concerned about how Dan and Vanessa are going to end up, especially after Vanessa’s look of, “You…oh, you mean ‘I love you’ like THAT? Son of a bitch…” let me break it down for you:

-Dan and Vanessa go to the same college.
-They have the same friends.
-Their plot lines are fraught with guest stars, some of who are mentioned and never seen.
-They don’t have anything better to do.
-You don’t have to put any effort into mashing their names up. Danessa. Done.

While I feel comfortable calling Danessa a lock, I won’t yet call it a mortal lock. There’s still time for V to come to her senses, confess her love to Dan, and get smacked down for the 300th time.

Lily Van Der Woodsen Bass Humphrey for Commissioner of the Gold Digger League

"Mom, the doctors say you've got to leave. They're afraid I'll catch the S1UT."

Lily’s a slut. You know it, I know it, even freaking Maureen Van Der Bilt knows it. All of this stuff never occurs to Rufus because, well, he’s Rufus Humphrey. He’s good at stumbling across damning evidence, but he can’t really put the pieces of Lily’s deception together. At this point there’s an orgy of evidence that Lily hooked up with Serena’s dad recently, and while it’s probably a foregone conclusion that Lily did what Lily does best, I’m not convinced.

Right now I’m Colin Farrell in “Minority Report” at the scene of Leo Crow’s murder and I’m staring at all the pictures of kids on the bed. It’s all there, and this being Gossip Girl we should always conclude that the simplest answer IS the answer…but I’m still waiting to hear it from Lily.

The Jenny-Eric conflict is the worst Constance War ever.

(Yes, I’m counting Dan vs. Serena in season two.)

Readers, there was a time when a power struggle at St. Jude’s/Constance turned the courtyard into post-war Berlin. You couldn’t say anything without being documented. You couldn’t turn your back on someone at a party for fear of a Nair cocktail sailing in from the blind side. CHUCK BASS MADE UP A PERSON TO FORCE SERENA INTO SEIZING POWER.

So what do we have now in this brave new world? We get an arms race with designer handbags and the fiery rhetoric of Eric Van Der Woodsen Bass Humphrey.

Seize your blackberries and pitchforks! Once more into the courtyard! This! Is! Constance!

Chuck sees dead people

"Dad told me I should stop wearing belts. Interestingly his thoughts echo my own."

I just didn’t understand why they assumed we’d think Chuck could turn into a cold hearted Basstard in one episode just because his dead dad was brought back by The Island. We KNOW he’s got a heart! We’ve seen it! You can’t shake our faith, Gossip Girl.

I thought it was interesting that the hospital would bring back all those memories of Bart’s death. While it certainly wasn’t the tearful embrace from last year, I think it was entirely appropriate that Chuck and Blair talked through his issues like that and left the hospital immediately. I’ve spent about four pages talking about how Bart took the oomph out of Chuck/Blair, but that “Thank you” at the end was excellent. In these seasons, readers, you have to focus on the little great moments. It’s all we have now.

Finishing with sporadic thoughts and Chuck’s not so dead mom.

"No, Nate, I don't think they let you 'big spoon' here."

It’s the last episode of 2009, there had to be SOMETHING that makes you stay for 2010, and the shocking reveal of Chuck’s probably not dead mom was this episode’s, “Oh No They Didn’t” moment. While it’s totally possible that Bart didn’t want Chuck to know about his mom, I look back on the episode with the secret Eyes Wide Shut society and its ho-hum conclusion and can’t help but think this will go the same way.

If I had my way, I’d take Mrs. Bass in one of two directions. I’d either make her the real mom and give Chuck a parent character that he will eventually warm to, or I’d make her a machination of an evil alliance of G. Sparks and Carter to finally push Chuck over the edge.

The former is safer and probably better for Chuck’s character because Chuck’s mom is arguably the only adult that could affect him in a positive way. Combine that with the tearful reveal that she is actually his mom and you could have fireworks that approach last year’s funeral, and that’s something I think we all want again.

The latter is just plain awesome villainry that would push the boundaries of what the schemers in this series could do. Nothing would seem out of bounds, as absurd as it seems. That said, it’s a little too fantastical and maybe too dark…but isn’t that what Gossip Girl needs to get back? 2010 will answer that question.

Serena telling Nate she’s glad they still talk annoys me. I hate when girls say, “I’m glad we can still talk.” It’s basically a girl’s way of saying, “I beat you down and dragged you through the dirt and now you lack the conviction to hate me. I can’t believe I came out on top!”

As a Boston die hard, it takes a lot to really enjoy something from New York. That said, I really enjoy “Empire State of Mind,” but it was a waste of a great song, like when they threw away “Sex on Fire” with Serena and That Rose Kid I Refuse To Recognize. I can’t believe I’ve almost had to type his name twice. TWICE!

Promo for Gossip Girl 3.13 “Jenny, Full of Grace”

Looks amazing, right? And after what I would, without hesitation, call the best episode of GG ever (maybe behind 2.13); we now have to wait not only until 2010, but until SUMMER IS OVER ( well for me, that is. The rest of the world is in Winter, I guess) until we get a new episode. Episode 13 airs on March 8, 2010. Yes, you read right. March, 8, 2010. Holidays will be over, I will probably be starting university, I will be EIGHTEEN FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! I don’t know how I will survive.

So, first of all, Vampire Diaries goes on break, then my three best friends get tickets to Chicago, then Gossip Girl goes on break. Yes, this is going to be one extremely lonely Summer. What makes matters worse is that, like I mentioned before, my results are coming out on Monday and like in most situations, I usually over estimate my abilities and set my expectations a bit too high. I haven’t even got my ENTER score yet, but I know it’s probably not as good as I’d like it to be. I already know this, but I think having literal proof of this will still be pretty heartbreaking. I just feel like all my effort was wasted. No matter how well I personally do, I am being compared to others and my marks are relative to how well others in the state do. It sucks majorly.

Holy hell.
What. An. Episode!
I laughed (while Dan was forced to watch porn… that was a lot of moaning), I cried (Sigh. Chuck.) and I got very, very angry. Gah! They fit so much into that teeny, little hour and I just had to pause the show to take it all in…. and get a snack.

So here goes:

Tripp is so out, Nate is so in, and finally the world is back in order!

For those of who you who got caught up in the Tripp/Serena drama of last week and were still somehow pulling for this pathetic pushover, let me remind you of all the things he has done wrong since being introduced on Gossip Girl: He had an affair, he lied to Serena and left her in a house with no cable (but some really old pot), he agreed to an “open relationship” with his wife, he abandoned Serena in the midst of a car wreck and could have killed her by moving her, and he lets his psychotic bitch of a wife control him. Oh and did I mention the creepy factor that he’s dating 19-year-old? I mean, even though he’s a pretty hot congressman, that’s still pretty gross.

And the guy is just pathetic. He wants to give up his entire career for a teen socialite? Yeah, she’s got great hair but is that worth giving up your career?  Then he let’s his wife call all the shots, do crazy and illegal things and stands by her as she manipulates the entire UES for her own sick dream of being a politician’s wife (she’s certainly got the wardrobe down pat…). God, I thought Blair was evil, but this Maureen woman makes her look like Mother Theresa.

This entire situation is just one big lesson for all of us: don’t canoodle with a hot, young married politician who has a crazy wife who will bring down your family just so she can do a little wave outside of a helicopter behind the White House. Lesson learned, GG. Lesson learned.

Moving on.

While I was finally able to arouse some compassion for Serena (who wouldn’t when the poor girl’s head is bleeding in the front of an old Range Rover?), most of my heart went out to the one and only Chuck Bass. What? Homeboy looks good when he’s being haunted by his dead father. And we really got to see a side of Chuck that doesn’t come out often enough (much like his naked side…). I have no idea when Blair got to be so understanding and patient, but as Bart’s shadow haunted Chuck, she stuck around and showed her caring and compassionate side time and time again.  And while we all got flashes of Bart Bass, girls crowded around my little 13” TV just to see Chuck’s compassionate side grow.

And then we cried.

But not all of the “couples” on the show found such happiness.  Dan is still pining for Vanessa, but his “I love you” in the heat of the overbearing hospital fluorescent lights (where she was looking rather orange) was unrequited.  Jenny and Erik may have had a 5 second love session by the hospital coffee machine, but I’m pretty sure Drug-Dealin’-Jenny didn’t mean any of it.  And Lily and Rufus are headed for some tough times ahead…even though I STILL don’t know what is in that letter.  (What the hell could it be? I mean, the letter was written to Serena; what could be so bad?) All I can guess is that this isn’t the last we will be hearing from Dr. Van Der Woodsen.

Between Serena’s father and Chuck’s mother (assuming that the tabloids have it right and that was indeed Chuck’s mother), we are all in for a rude awakening come January. Yes, I said January. Because Gossip Girl won’t be back until then. What the hell am I going to do with my Mondays now!?

I guess I’m just gonna have to start back at Season 1…

i almost spelt daily like dayly. i have no idea how that would have worked. today mother dearest was fixed up, no more soreness. did nothingg, except watch a few eps of dollhouse and a ep of torchwood which i missed. but im sure the download is running out so i might wait a little before i watch gossip girl. cause im a good girl.

As the personalities of everybody’s favorite CW series “Gossip Girl” have matured, so have their fashion senses. Don’t get me wrong, their sense of style has always been upscale and charming but things have changed quite a bit for a few of them.

For instance, Jenny Humphrey is not the same little innocent Jenny from the block that followed the pack and tried unsuccessfully to be on top time and time again with her Blair-esque headbands and pleated skirts. Little J is not so little anymore. As her rebellion progressed, her actions weren’t the only thing that changed. Showing up to school suddenly with smokey eyes, red lipstick, bowler hats and crazy garments that she designed with her keen knowledge of sewing and fashion.


Even Blair Waldorf has progressed quite a bit. She’s always had very put together outfits that seem flawless and that hasn’t changed, but she certainly doesn’t look like a high schooler anymore. From headbands, Victorian-esque blouses and tights with every outfit, she’s blossomed into riskier attire like actually taking off her headband from time to time, and dressing a little bit older with brilliant coats, pencil skirts, and a whole lot more of black in her wardrobe.

Serena’s go-with-the-flow attitude has always been something I’ve admired, and her style seems to go hand in hand with that. She’s always had a great street-sense of fashion but knows how to be elegant when she needs to. I guess you could say her styles progressed in the sense that its more professional than it used to be, considering she actually has somewhat of responsibilities now with new jobs, appointments and of course affairs.

Vanessa, the true Brooklyn girl always prided herself on being different than all the Upper East siders and this season, she actually showed a lot of Upper East side qualities. Her fashion has stayed in the Urban realm, but tidied up a little bit and become more rich street-style looking.

Handsome Nate is known for his ultra preppy style. He has such an all American clean cut rugby-ish look. His style hasn’t changed too much over the seasons, but its advanced a little and become more mature and suave.

Now Dan, has this Brooklyn boy style that he’s always had, except that he’s learned to clean it up and make it appropriate for the elite functions he has to attend now that he’s a part of the Van Der Woodsen family. He’s managed to catch on to the Upper East side ways, both in his fashion sense and his life style.

Now, last but most definitely not least, my absolute favorite Gossip Girl boy, Chuck Bass. I’d marry him if I could. His bad ass persona has always been interesting and even though he’s matured as a character by getting over his womanizing ways and being responsible for a business, he still has that bad boy factor in him. He was all about the plaid scarves, button up shirts, khakis and pastels, but now his appearance has become more professional with suits, ties and bow-ties which look quite charming on him.
