Per combattere la corsa verso modelli di bellezza impossibili da raggiungere proprio perchè non esistono.

The company found the act embarrassing and degrading to the company reputation. And here’s the embarrassing part- the strongest accusation she could find was that the airlines today prefer to hire fat and ugly flight attendants. Now, why am I embarrassed? Well, why shouldn’t I? All along, some women are fighting to make men realize that a woman should not be hired in an office because she has good skills not because she has good boobs. But here’s this flight attendant making a strong conclusion that attractive women (what she meant by attractive women here are those who will willingly pull their skirts and show more skin just to get promoted and get accepted in a testosterone driven culture) should be the only ones to be hired as flight attendants. Well, what does she expect, loud gongs from all the women (what I mean women by women here are those women with calloused feet, skinny women, fat women, women with big glasses, women with scarred faces and finally women)?

American model Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber’s extortionist is said to have surrendered to the police following an international manhunt.

Edis Kayalar, 26, who has been accused of attempting to extort 62,500 pounds from the couple, walked into a police station in Stuttgart, south-west Germany late on November 16, reports the Daily Star.

Gerber had paid Kayalar, the acquaintance of a former nanny, 625 pounds to keep a controversial snap of their young daughter bound to a chair in revealing clothing away from the media and Internet.

But Kayalar threatened to sell the picture to the press for 312,500 pounds before he was deported to his native Germany in September this year.

He continued his threats to sell the picture earlier this month, and allegedly demanded 62,500 pounds from the couple to keep it private – prompting the model and her husband to call in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The model’s representatives insist the controversial photo at the centre of the extortion plot was taken by the nanny during a game of cops and robbers, without Crawford’s knowledge.

Kayalar, who had to appear before a judge on November 17, could face up to two years in prison

En este video en ESPN hablan sobre que Antonio sufría una malformación congénita en su corazón y que incluso le habían prohibido jugar Futbol.

Cambiando rapidamente de tema, resulta que Enrique Iglesias da de que hablar y ahora MTV se hace de la boca chiquita. En su nuevo video realiza una “masturbacion” mientras ve un canal de llamadas sexuales ademas de candentes escenas amorosas. ¡picoso!

Pero es de verdad algo molesto que te censure un canal que habla de Homosexualidad abierta y plena a las 4 pm con muestras claras de la falta de noción que tienen en este tema, que te muestre el lado negativo de la juventud disfrazada con un “viva la juventud” y que algo que es normal y que todo el mundo realiza sea “prohibido”.

El reciente puente me fui unos días al puerto de Acapulco, donde además del rico clima, fui al concierto de Magneto, sí, a ese, no pagué aclaro, me invitaron y acepté, reconozco que en otras circunstancias habría dicho que no, pero se prestaba el momento, y tenía curiosidad por ver como sonaban, y la verdad pues poca gente, mucha adrenalina y dieron un show corto, pero pasaron por sus éxitos, sí, por eso duró cerca de una hora.

No son para nada de mis tiempos, era yo muy peque, pero recuerdo muchas de sus canciones, Vuela vuela, A la puerta del colegio, Para siempre, Tu libertad, Malherido, entre otras.

Todos lucían obvio con los años encima, si acaso Alex era de los que lucía mejor, Alán con varios kilos de más, Tono que si no lo hubieran invitado no pasaba nada, Mauri pues un poco más arrugado, y Elías pues sigue sin cabello. Deleitaron a fans que en su mayoría eran mujeres de 30 años, unos cuantos grupos de jóvenes y unos cuantos perdidos que no se sabían ni vuela vuela.

Desde hace tiempo se maneja una posible adaptación, pero el nombre de Catalina Creel les hace ruido y sombra, y no se deciden por quién puede ser la actriz que logre por lo menos acercarse a ese gran papel. Ahora se manejan nombres como Jacqueline Andere, que es muy buena, y que es la que más suena.

Aunque se manejan nombres como Alma Muriel, que me topé en una obra de teatro y que luce bien, y que también es una buena villana, además de Silvia Pasquel, Rebeca Jones que sería bueno verla de nuevo, aunque no sea tan grande, y hasta Victoria Ruffo, que si no quiso o no pudo con el papel en En nombre del amor y se le quedó a Leticia Calderón, menos podrá con este papelón, toca esperar cuál de todas se queda.

Cindy Crawford has advised women to stop buying magazines featuring stick thin models because she believes they have the “power” to change the body image stereotypes that are currently being sold out to them.

The 43-year-old former supermodel had recently confessed that she wouldn’t have made it big in the world of glamour these days because she had too “normal” a body to succeed in today’s size zero obsessed fashion industry.

And now she has urged women to dump magazines promoting unhealthy lifestyles.

“We as the consumers, we as the women, have the power. If you don”t like something, don”t buy it. Don”t buy the magazine if you don”t like what it says. If you don”t like the image a brand is putting out, don”t buy it,” the Daily Express quoted Crawford, as saying.

She added: “What I really don”t agree with is people who complain about it but still support it. You”re giving your power away. If people don”t want skinny models, stop buying the magazine with the skinny model, and believe me those magazines will change fast. It’’s business.”

Let’s just be clear here—Girl T and I spend a LOT of time criticizing deserving celebrities. We are not obsessed with any particular one nor with Hollywood in general so this post isn’t blindly written as we salivate over copies of US Weekly.

There are many, many times that celebs open themselves up to public criticism—when they seem ungrateful for all the amazing opportunities they’ve been given, when they complain about their lack of privacy,  when they are downright rude in general, etc. But there are also times when celebs are humanized and find themselves in a situation that any one of us could—but it’s made even worse by the sheer fact that they ARE a celeb.

PerezHilton.com posted a blog today with more details regarding the Cindy Crawford extortion case. To make a long story short, a former nanny who worked for Cindy and her husband Rande Gerber took a picture of Cindy’s 8-year-old daughter Kaia “tied to a chair and bound in revealing clothing, which the nanny claims she took as part of a “cops and robbers” game.” The nanny then shared the picture with her boyfriend who later attempted to extort the family out of money by threatening to sell the photo to the tabloids.Cindy and her husband have now been working with the FBI in order to find this creep and prevent him from exploiting their young daughter. Unfortunately, the douche hasn’t been caught yet but authorities are on the look-out.

Anything that jeopardizes the safety of your children is horrific to any parent—celebrity or otherwise. And the idea that this started with someone the Crawford family supposedly trusted (their nanny) makes it all the worse.

But some people really aren’t able to muster up sympathy for anything when it comes to a “celebrity.” Case in point, “WinonaJohnson” who commented on the PerezHilton.com post with this gem:

I wonder what CIndy was doing that was more important than watching her own kids. Wow, this is sad. Sounds like some provacative photos that have already been sold in the underground. There is a market for that and now Cindy’s daughter is a part of it.

People who would not let strangers borrow their cars, let virtual strangers watch their children. This is so sad. It’s worse when people can afford to stay home and watch their kids!

Umm, virtual strangers? We’re sorry but were we suddenly transported to a parallel universe where daycare facilities and nannies don’t exist? We are not here to argue the pros/cons of stay-at-home moms vs working moms, nor would we pass judgment on any women who chooses either path. But the reality of the situation is that MOST parents these days have someone else, besides themselves, watching their children for most days out of the year—whether that’s because a couple can’t afford to have just one person bringing in income or because it’s a personal choice on behalf of both husband and wife.

So Cindy has (and can afford) a nanny. So what? Do you honestly think she haphazardly chose some illegitimate person to care for her kids? And let’s just say Cindy DID choose to stay home all day and watch her children—what about teachers at the kids’ schools or coaches or tutors? Are those not “virtual strangers” as well who also have the capacity to harm children? Oh and what about her husband? Is he not expected to keep watch over his children 24/7 as well?

The fact is that horrible things happen every day and some of them, unfortunately, happen to innocent children. Any true parent fights desperately against this in any way they can. This isn’t a celebrity issue or a “real person” issue—it’s a human issue.

So, “Winona Johnson,” not only did you manage to make a comment that was completely idiotic and irrational, you also managed to take women back a few years with your oversimplification of a MAJOR childcare issue. We hope that if you have children, you’re managing them well inside that bubble that you MUST have built for them seeing as any other option would be irresponsible and just “so sad.” Oh, and also, there’d be no time to comment on PerezHilton.com either with all of your child-watching. The horror!

Nach der Anklage in den USA fahndet jetzt auch die deutsche Polizei nach dem mutmaßlichen Erpresser des Topmodels Cindy Crawford. Der 26-jährige Deutsch-Türke sei zur Festnahme ausgeschrieben, sagte ein Sprecher der Polizei Esslingen am Montag. Die Staatsanwaltschaft Stuttgart wolle einen Haftbefehl beantragen. Jedoch sei der junge Mann vor kurzem in die Türkei gereist. Am Wochenende habe man eine Wohnung nach Beweismaterial durchsucht, sagte ein Sprecherin der Staatsanwaltschaft. Der junge Mann soll Crawford mit einem Foto ihrer Tochter erpresst haben. Die Staatsanwaltschaft im US-Bundesstaat Kalifornien hat Anklage gegen den 26-Jährigen erhoben. When we look at these photos, all we can think of is how ridiculous the comments from Self Magazine FAIL in every which way in regards to the Kelly Clarkson photoshoot.

Renowned Fashion Photographer Peter Lindbergh decided he had had enough of airbrushing and how it makes women in magazines look like “objects from Mars”. He says “that for years now it has taken a much too big part in how women are being visually defined today. Heartless retouching should not be the chosen tool to represent women in the beginning of this century.”
Lindbergh not being one to comment and stand idly by, photographed supermodels, including Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen, and Amber Valetta, without makeup or excessive retouching (think flyaway hair, a blemish, or a wrinkle in clothing) for the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar.

And they were GORGEOUS!

Women are too often forced to chase after impossible and unrealistic ideals that they themselves would never normally pursue if they had not had the initial notion planted into their minds in the first place with silly magazine covers depicting ”high-fashion” and the ”ideals of today”.
