Yes, it’s potato on your skin! Do that if you want:

• a lighter skin tone
• a clearer complexion (reduces blemishes and other marks)
• to remove unwanted tan
• to lighten dark circles under eyes

Why potato?

Potato contained one of the highest bleaching agent; so actually, potato naturally bleached your skin (when you apply it externally; I’m not sure if consuming potato would have the same bleaching effect — but, to be honest, I doubt that it would)

A very dark skin tone CANNOT be bleached to a totally fair skin tone; however, there will be a noticeable change.

[FYI, there are many other natural goodness out there that contain bleaching properties. But, I only put "products" that I have tried myself and have seen the effects/results on my blog --- and that is POTATO! ^^]

How to naturally bleach your skin with potato?

It’s actually pretty simple!

1. Soak raw potato slices in cold water for 10 minutes. Rub these slices over face, neck and hands;
2. Extract potato juice and make a paste out of it;
3. Grate your potatoes and use it as face mask;

OR…

if you are too lazy to do all those things…

There you go!

Just slice the potatoes and put it on your face right away! (remember to WASH it)

That’s what I do

I always do this in the morning, so I’m too lazy to do all those preparations.

[But, to tell you the truth, those other three ways listed above would actually give BETTER results - I haven't tried any, but I'm pretty sure it would, because it is a more proper way.]

Let it stay for long; but no longer that 2 hours.

(some people use it overnight, but I haven’t tried it)

Then, remember to wash your face as well just like after you used other face masks.

Easy, don’t you think?

Some precaution and notes:

I do NOT guarantee that this will suit ALL skin types

so it will be safer if you don’t put it on your face for too long if it is your first time.

The potato juice will slightly hurt your eyes if it gets inside, so it will be better to put a potato with not-too-much juices for the area around your eyes.

If you want to see BETTER results, follow this with a healthy diet

I personally see noticeable results in less that a week. (four or five days, if I’m not mistaken. But one thing for sure is that it is less than a week.)

The letters supposedly spell out the usual “the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog,” but for some, I just can’t see it. Cool looking font regardless.

I can barely say, what has gone through my heart and mind today.  It feels like an entire week and yet only a day.  I went looking around at different things about people who are contacted by ET’s.  I sent my last video to someone, that I never wanted to lose, but never really gained to begin with.

And I tried very hard to stay up.  But when someone pushes you out, then, time to flee.

What’s odd, is, I now feel lighter.  Like a huge burden has just been lifted from me.  Just weighted me down.

I had seen a vision of letting two people go.  I imagined that I let these two birds go.  Except one just flew in circles and the other was so weighted that it couldn’t fly.

Little did I realize till just now actually, that those birds were me.  I literally did not know what to do.  But now that I made my choice for the last time, I understand what the birds were saying to me.  How I spent 1 and a half years going in circles with these people and in the end, I was just completely weighted down.  Couldn’t fly.

I’m a balloon now.

Okay, so I have allowed one week for myself to feel bad about the whole letting go thing. Now, it’s back to work for me. SRSLY.

Yesterday though, I was able to eat 3 times in one day for the first time since the whole problem happened over a week ago. Although, it still cannot be compared to my usual eating habits and how much I eat. I know I love food and I have to eat to survive, but I just can’t put something on my mouth without looking over the seat right next to me or across me, imagining that HE used to be right there. But I have to stop those thoughts or else they will only break me more.

And to my success, I have been able to survive a whole 24 hour period without having a tear escape from my eyes. Although there was one moment where I was having a flashback. But it didn’t hurt that much anymore. I just keep reminding myself of the things he told me the last time we saw each other.

Anyway! I had a really good day yesterday. I felt much better after the whole mess. And it probably had something to do with the fact that I was feeling like more of my old “fashionista” self. I went with my sister and her boyfriend to Greenbelt and first we had lunch at Recipes. I missed their Adobo Flakes! so I ordered them [unable to finish it though].

Then my sister took me to a hidden nail haven in Greenbelt 5 [not a secret now] called Dashing Diva which is located inside the Beauty Bar. They will truly treat you like a diva! And they even have the very first nail dryer in the country. You no longer have to sit around and wait for your nails to dry!

Then I went to Coffee Bean & Tea Room to work while my sister finished up her pedicure. All the while I was thinking, getting the Swirl card has been so beneficial to me! Even though I am more of a Seattle’s Best Coffee girl, I am now enjoying Coffee Bean & Tea Room since they have unlimited free Wi-Fi if you have their Swirl card. Whereas with SBC, they will only give you a free one hour access if you reach the minimum of P150.

When my sister finished, we were deciding where to go: either Manila Peninsula or Shangri La Makati. We decided to try Shang since we have just been to Manila Pen.

This week’s chapter in The Joy Diet by Martha Beck is on Connection. Only one more week for this online book circle. Sometimes I’ve connected with Martha, and sometimes I haven’t.

My overall intention has been to focus on what I do like and, therefore, connect with. Martha says, “My true self wants a broader sense of connection.” One thing I’ve learned that really works is to focus more on the positive aspects of a relationship. Don’t you feel more connected to someone who tells you what they appreciate about you?

Another quote from the book that I like is: “How in the world do you expect to get what you want out of a relationship if you never define it? You are responsible for identifying and expressing your heart’s desires in every relationship, from your marriage to your daily chat with your office manager. Being able to specificy is the key to eliminating the insane expection that the other person will read your mind and figure out how to meet your desires before you do.” Exactly!

Martha asks a two very pertinent questions: Is my story working? Can I think of another story that might work better? We can’t possibly know the inner workings of why someone does what they do that may come across as negative, insensitive or hurtful. How empowering it is to ask for clarity rather than let unchecked out assumptions fester?

I also like her closing thoughts of the chapter: “…when we go into the stillness of our real selves, learn what is truest for us, let ourselves feel what we want to do about it, and risk communicating openly in any relationship. Those four steps forge connections between each of us and the rest of the human race, the precious links that join us to health, to happiness, and to each other.”

Today is also Day 20 of the Art Every Day Challenge. I revisited a painting I did a few days ago. I played around with putting ink on it. But, I wasn’t feeling connected to it. I covered the ink spots in question with some gesso.

Today, I came back to it since there were circles on it which could represent “connection.” I futzed around with it some more. My true confession is I still don’t feel completely connected to it, but I’m posting it anyway.

Like with some relationships, I’m making peace with it, appreciating the positive aspects (colors and the dark violet circles at the top), taking lessons learned from the experience, and going on my way to a connection that feels REALLY good!

Things are just going in circles. They never stop for a change.

No matter how I tried, it’s still the same, old, repeated outcome.

Maybe I’m happy for a while, just that short while. But things will just rewind back to the same sad moments.

Circles never end. They just continue repeating the same old things.

I’m just strange. I don’t understand alot of things, not even myself.

I just kept thinking of reasons, enough to deceive myself.

No one will ever understand me or even try to. People just don’t give a damn.

Remember when I used to do that fun Truth Tuesday thing? And, more specifically, do you remember this one?

One of the TRUE things that week was the following statement:

Sometimes when I’m feeling creative in a non-writing way, I grab a bunch of different-sized circular objects and trace overlapping circles onto a blank piece of paper. Then I pull out a set of crayons or colored pencils and fill in all of the spaces, being sure to use every color at least once and if I use them twice, to space them apart sufficiently.

Today is that day.

I started reading a new book this week (two, actually), and I wanted some kind of bookmark so I randomly grabbed ANOTHER book I’d started reading awhile back (but ditched temporarily) to see if there was one in it. And lo and behold, I found this:

I made it in August of 2006, and I remember it was during a week in Huntington Beach with a family I babysat for. I was settling into my fancy schmancy bed in their fancy schmancy beach house and remembered I’d brought a pack of colored pencils with me (for the kids, I swear…). I had been trying to get back into the habit of journaling (aren’t I always TRYING to make it a habit?) but I happened to glance at a couple of random circular objects near me — I don’t remember what, exactly — and I thought, “It’s been awhile!”

So, there it is. In the past, I’ve used more than just two different sized circles, but it was all I had that day.

Oh, and the “42″ in the bottom left corner? Is the number of spaces that all the overlapping circles created. (It’s also the answer to the question, “What is the meaning of life?” according to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, if I’m not mistaken.)

Yes. I am a nerd.

I was on Facebook about five minutes ago when my friend posted to me a trick about how to get magic circles appearing every time you left click on Facebook… it was pretty awesome. Whatevs.

ANYWAYS, I failed at Jeopardy tonight, it was tragic. Normally I am all over that Professor Plums, and getting everything right… oh, and that was a reference to Clue – but tonight… it was FAIL. F-A-I-L. Kind of like my result on my History quiz… 3/10. No big deal guys. Pretty sure that it’s not my fault that I had to miss almost all the presentations during history class today. Oh right, it wasn’t my fault. I was held against my will doing MATH. The most horrid subject matter on the planet. Sorry Math people, but it had to be said.

Basically, I have to get my Math average up to about 85% before I can even think about History ever again. But little do they know… I still have the textbook! HAH, YOU CANNOT FOOL ME, Mr. _____!!! (Due to privacy and courtesy, I can’t say the teacher’s name.) GRRR, and the only way to do well in math is to do lots of practice. So I did 2.5 hours yesterday and about 45 minutes today. We are off to a good start, yes?

OH – and Elmo was on Jeopardy today, it made me SOOOO happy. I love that guy, he is always so cheerful. In fact, I am going to put a little link to something on Youtube about Elmo… because I love him in an entirely appropriate way. YEP.
