Just finished the third season. It was a good season over all. Pretty much who started out bad was bad in the end and who started out good was good in the end. Shocking. But along the way it was twisty and highly entertaining. And Angela Petrelli stopped being so evil and started showing us some history so she went up on my list. Peter Petrelli is still my favorite despite the fact that he lost all his cool abilities (I’m hopping he recovers the ability to have more than one ability. niner) and he’s always been my favorite. Him and Claire. They pwn the show. Way too graphic with the violence. I wish Syler would just die already. Yeah, he’s an interesting character but he’s also repulsive and he’s just not cool enough to make up for that amount of violence. Kay. Starting the fourth season this week. For right now it’s bed time. G’night people.

Evil Butterfly Man? Momo dead? Sysy, Uncle Peter and Nathan in one room? Hiro Nakamura from ze future?

(Author wants you to know that this Review of Sorts isn’t in order of the show. It follows one set of people. Namely, her favourite character and whoever was around him to make him bad ass in last night’s episode. ^_^ For a SUMMARY of events, see the Heroes Wiki [heroeswiki.com/Main_Page])

Heroes’ 9th episode in season four starts with Hiro and Samuel arguing over Charlie, that Hiro will not get Charlie back unless Hiro goes back in time by 8 weeks and retrieves something Mohinder Suresh destroyed. The show takes us back to see Mohinder arguing with his girlfriend Mira about his father’s research (author says with Indian accent). He throws the box of research away and gets on with his life, until he is kept awake because of the intrigue his father’s work brings him. He gets out of bed, digs through the box and finds a film reel titled “Samuel” (Author wants you to know that she got super excited at this point). Mohinder hooks the reel up to a projector and sits back in the darkness to watch his a young Chandra Suresh, his father, proclaim to the camera about earthquakes and tremors and other earthly things coming from a pregnant woman. Well this woman is Samuel Sullivan’s mother and the video pretty much tells us that Samuel’s powers are really, really cool. Anyway, Mohinder uses some equations from his dad’s film to create a compass (which the audience knows has been used by Samuel) and he falls asleep. Mira wakes him up and tells him that if he goes on an adventure, she will not wait for him (beeotch!). Mohinder leaves for the Carnival and mets Joseph Sullivan (Author was really excited at this point too) who tells him that Samuel is his brother. They go to meet Samuel (Author wants to tell you that she was really excited when she saw Samuel as he looked VERY bad ass in black leather), tell him a bogus story about Mohinder writing a book about traveling carnies then Joseph sends Samuel to a fire (Samuel’s hot enough, Joseph!) and leads Mohinder inside the trailer. They speak of Samuel’s ability and Joseph pretty much says “No way in HELL am I going to let Samuel’s ability get more powerful” so Momo leaves (Author got tired of typing out his name so resorted to Revvie’s nickname for her secret lover). Little do Joseph and Momo know, Samuel was outside listening in! So, Momo is at his hotel room telling Mira’s answering machine to please forgive him. Then he takes out the reel, sets it in a trash can, lights a match and drops it. Hiro freezes time as the match is in midair. He switches the reels and time returns. Samuel barges into Momo’s room to watch the flames slowly eat the reel. Samuel argues with Momo over it, shows him a rock that he crushes with his terrakinesis then makes the rock bits plunge into Momo’s chest. Panicked, Samuel flees and Momo falls back and is apparently dead. Then, MIRACLE OF MIRACLES, Momo is ALIVE! Hiro pops out from behind the bed as Momo is wondering what the heck just happened. Hiro had put a Kevlar vest to protect Momo from the future Hiro saw ’cause his power messed up and was first brought to the hotel 10 minutes later. Hiro asks Momo to hide for 8 weeks and pretend he’s dead so Samuel doesn’t really kill him. Momo refuses so Hiro teleports him somewhere. We next see Hiro give present day Samuel the reel and ask for Charlie. Samuel doesn’t comply. Then we see Momo in a mental institution (which REALLY cracked the Author up!!!). *end Hiro/Mohinder*

The rest of the episode was hilarious, suspenseful, and AMAZING! The hospital scene with Peter, Nathan, and Sylar (and Parkman…) was HOT (except Parkman, sorry Grunny). Tracy freezing Claire cracked me UP! Samuel is MY evil butterfly man. And I really recommend that you save #Heroes and #WatchHeroesLive Mondays 9/8c on NBC.

So, Matt Parkman is truly a wise man!  He definitely gets the kudos of the week! But I have to tell you that I would be majorly upset if they killed off Detective Matt Parkman!  He is far to valuable of a character, and much beloved to us fans!

This week we got to see our characters in the current element, which seems far superior to last week’s dull HRG story.  Noah is back to his old self, on a mission to destroy heroes (excluding Claire Bear, of course),  and taking names!  He does so with a surprise visit (well, surprise to us anyways!) with the Haitian, Renee.  But explaining to Gretchen that our mysterious Haitian’s ability isn’t enough, and she leaves Claire to go home.  This led to some very akward moments between our cheerleader and her ro0mate/best friend/partner? 

It didn’t seem very clear to me their relationship, and it seemed like Claire was expecting a whole lot more out of it than we initially suspected.  Could Claire have been ready to experiment that way?  Would it have been beneficial to the story?  Absolutely not!  It’s trite, the writers seemed to have just added for shock and awe, and honestly Sylar and Parkman’s story is way more awe and shock inspiring.

Speaking of which, I have really got mad props to send to both Parkman and Sylar for this week’s episode!  That chess match or poker game that they were playing was definitely hardcore!  Yikes!  I see your tire iron, and I raise you a dead waitress!  One has to admit that the funniest moment was Sylar trying to tell the security guard at the airport “you don’t see a gun in my bag!”  And the security guard saying “yes I do!”  Parkman hiding his ability was fantastic!  But honestly how long can they keep that up? 

But as always, the snooze fest story line continued about Emma and Peter…  So, if you are following either of my Twitter feeds (@C_Go or @TVDuchess), you would know this complaint already…  What is up with Peter’s ability?  This section of the story has more holes than a sponge!  He can only have one power at a time, and if he touches you he gains your ability, I get it.  It’s a lame ability, I miss his old one, it made him a far better nemesis to Sylar.  But the problem I have is that he was touching Emma, she was touching him, and there was no transfer of her weak ability to the Petrelli.  What the heck??  Don’t try to give the excuse that he can pick and choose when he wants to take the abilities, because that is definitely not the case!  He accidently got Emma’s ability in the first place.

Someone needs to explain this!  Or give back his original ability!

THEORY:  Nathan runs into Peter right?  Nathan transfers Sylar’s abilities to Peter and he gains back his old power. *fingers crossed*

I would like to say a big thank you to the writers, thank you for finally giving Hiro a big story this season, and thank you so much for the big reveal at the end of the episode!  Matt Parkman (and I) have been wondering where Mohinder was hiding all season!  Thank you for making a truly valiant effort in saving this beloved series, because honestly, you’ve finally started picking up the slack!  KEEP IT UP!

I was resistant at first to see Hiro attempting to save Charlie again.  I seem to remember Mr. Nakamura trying that years ago, and consistantly failing.  But this time, he really did cover all of his bases, crossed all his “T’’s, and dotted all of his “I”’s!  He saved her, even going so far as to get Sylar to help her.  Very impressive!  Now if only he could get Sylar to help him.  All of the fans would be sorely ticked off if we lost our lovable Japanese hero!

But I think the most pointless storyline of the episode was that of Noah’s love interest.  Did it matter that he didn’t actually have an affair?  He never would have slept with that woman anyway, she honestly looked too much like Claire.  I think he would’ve thought that creepy, because I sure did!

And speaking of Claire, world’s worst faux ponytail ever?   Save the cheerleader, lose the wig!  Are they ever going to explain how she cuts her hair though?

But we have Samuel (the most interesting character by far this year) trying to enlist Hiro into his collective.  Is Samuel good?  Is he bad?  I have no idea yet, but I am actually guessing that he isn’t.  He is feeling far too much guilt over the loss of Mohinder Suresh and the kidnapping of Charlie Andrews. 

This episode brought it’s A-game and really knocked it out of the park!  I am loving this season!  Except for all of this nonsense with the deaf doctor, she can see colors, wow…  Unless they can show me how this is beneficial to the show, kill her off, or lose her like Micah.  I’m bored with her.

If you haven’t been keeping up with NBC’s Heroes then it’s time to jump on that metahuman band wagon! This season there are so many great story lines, but the most interesting to us here at MaD is the Is she or isn’t She? plot surrounding Claire Bennet’s sexuality. We smell a lez-bot, and are excited about the possibility. Do you think Miss Bennet is a shoe-in for scissoring?  

Noah and Claire talk about new career paths in "Heroes"

Last night’s episode of “Heroes” looks at another side of careers common in today’s job market- being forced out of your job and career and forced to find another calling. So how does one find their calling?

In “Acceptance” Noah Bennet (played by Jack Coleman) has left his job with the government hunting mutants and has turned down any opportunities to do so for anyone else. Noah’s daughter Claire (played by Hayden Panetierre) visits him in his spartan apartment where he lives also facing divorce. As Claire spends the day trying to get her father to look for normal work, Noah’s at a loss on what to do next in his career in light of his dark and secretive past. Claire imparts a sage idea:

“Life changes. We all change. Sometimes you, have to remember who you were, to figure out who you want to be.”

By the end of the episode, Noah realizes there’s no turning away from his life investigating and uncovering conspiracies regarding mutants.

Searching Your Soul for Your Career Path

There’s no easy way to look at yourself and finding your calling. It takes the slow working tools of life experience, pleasure, pain, triumph and tragedy to shape the passions that define your calling. An honest self examination of those passions and who you are as a whole can help you in your search. Alaina Love suggests identifying what kind of worker you are and evaluating opportunities as outlets for your passions in “Discover Your Passions to Find the Right Job“. Love has identified 10 archetypes to categorize what type of worker you are to figure out what kind of work you’d be happy doing.

Hard Looks (and Feedback) at Yourself and From Others

Emotion and stressful circumstances can make it difficult to get an honest look at who you are and who you want to be, which is why it’s important to do as much of it outside your head as possible:

1. Keep a Journal- get it on paper and look at it after you’ve gotten some distance from it. See if you gain any insight from what you’ve put down.

2. Ask “Trusted” Associates for Feedback- Notice I didn’t say friends or loved ones. While you need them for moral support, you need someone who’s going to be impartial about their impressions of you and your past work.

3. Revisit Things (and Find Things) That Inspire You- see if they’re still meaningful. See where they take you.

4. Make a Plan- once you’ve found a calling, make a plan to pursue it to include timelines and exit strategies. Point is not to get stuck or flounder if it doesn’t work out.

There’s no shame in finding yourself with out a path. Trick is not to beat yourself up, and to listen closely to yourself for the new path to who you want to be.

In meiner Recherche zur Heroes Serie stach mir sofort eine Meldung in Auge: “Heroes war dieses Jahr der am meisten illegal beschaffte TV Download im Internet” – noch vor Lost. Einen heftigeren gleichzeitig besseren und schlechteren Superlativ kann man für eine Serie eigentlich in diesen Zeiten nicht finden. Die von Universal produzierte und von NBC in den USA bzw. RTL2 in Deutschland ausgestrahlte Staffel ist ein weltweites Phänomen. Einerseits kosten die illegalen Downloads Milliarden, andererseits sind sie verantwortlich für die unbezahlbare Mund zu Mund Propaganda, mit der erst ein weltweites Phänomen möglich wird.

Leute, wie ich, hören dann aus 10 Quellen, dass die Serie toll ist. Vielleicht waren nur 3 oder 4 davon Käufer der DVD’s oder echte Fernsehzuschauer, vielleicht sogar noch weniger. Fakt ist, ich habe trotzdem sehr lange und preisbewusst gewartet, bis ich mir die geteilten Boxen der Staffeln 1.1 und 1.2 mit insgesamt fantastischen 23 Folgen gekauft habe. Aber ich habe sie wahrscheinlich nur wegen eben dieser Empfehlungen gekauft, die mir ein ums andere Mal im Netz und im persönlichen Umfeld begegneten.

Vorweg schließe ich mich der großen Mehrheit der Kritiker an und empfehle die Serie jedem Leser mit der Einschränkung, sich die Serie besser nicht im Fernsehen anzuschauen. Werbeblöcke, eine Woche Wartezeit und ggf. das Verpassen von einzelnen Folgen, sorgen dafür, dass man der Story – besser den verschiedenen Stories – aufgrund diverser Einzelgeschichten, sowie räumlichen und zeitlichen Sprüngen nicht mehr richtig folgen kann.

Vorsicht ist ansonsten beim DVD Konsum geboten, weil man schnell Blöcke von 3-4 Folgen hintereinander weg schaut und sich trotz Arbeit am nächsten Morgen um 2 Uhr nachts ernsthaft überlegt, noch eine Episode dranzuhängen.

Um nicht zuviel zu verraten, reiße ich die Story nur kurz an. Die Evolution der Menschheit bringt schon heute Individuen mit außergewöhnlichen Fähigkeiten hervor – Usain Bolt kann nunmal, ob gedopt oder nicht, schneller laufen als seine Doping Kollegen. In der Serie Heroes sind diese Fähigkeiten etwas phantasievoller ausgeprägt. Manche Menschen können fliegen, durch Wände gehen, heilen durch Handauflegen – sie übersteigen in der Summe das Repertoire von David Copperfield (oder Tiger Woods) knapp.

Manche dieser Fähigkeiten sind aggressiv, manche Inhaber dieser Fähigkeiten agieren aggressiv. Manche Menschen mit aggressiven Fähigkeiten sind hilflos und wollen sie gar nicht, sie verstecken sie so gut es geht. Andere Menschen fühlen sich durch ihre Fähigkeiten zu etwas Höherem berufen. Die Charaktere, die uns gezeigt werden versuchen auf menschliche Weise, damit fertig zu werden. Eine klare schwarz-weiße Grenze existiert nicht. Wenn man beispielsweise Highlander geschaut hat, weiß man um den Unterschied.

Wie in der Realität gibt es radikale Charaktere, die das Geschehen in der Serie polarisieren. Es entsteht eine Haupthandlung, in der ein sehr negatives Ereignis durch eine Reihe von Idealisten verhindert werden soll. Allerdings ist bis zum Ende der Staffel nicht klar, ob dieses Ereignis von einem guten, einem neutralen oder einem bösen Charakter ausgelöst wird.

Das klingt geheimnisvoll, zeigt aber, wie vielschichtig jede einzelne Episode durchdacht ist. Selten handeln die Hauptpersonen unverständlich oder konstruiert. Die Serie gefällt mir einfach sehr gut und bleibt jederzeit spannend. Es gab eine Serie, die praktisch das gleiche oder sogar bessere Rüstzeug hatte, wie Heroes. Die Serie hieß “Das verschwundene Zimmer” (Trailer). Die Fähigkeiten waren hier an Gegenstände gebunden, die weitergereicht werden konnten, das Grundprinzip war aber gleich. Schade, dass diese Serie nicht ebenso zum Welterfolg wurde. Vielleicht hätte man in diesem Fall mehr illegale Versionen über eine Agentur in Tauschbörsen hochladen sollen.

Dear Heroes -

I know I said it last year, but I’m serious this time. You and me, we’re done if you let me down this season. I keep holding on to hope, but if I have to sit through another implausible storyline where all the characters I love act like crazy people I don’t even recognize, I will go mad myself. So you’ve had your 100 millionth chance, and I’m not going to just sit around forever.

Phew! Now, I don’t mean to be mean but that just had to be said. However with the season premiere behind us now, I can vouch that things are definitely on the ups in Heroes-verse. As Peter said, “There’s a lot of change going on with me.” Volume Five is title “Redemption,” and could they have picked something more fitting? The tone of this season is very similar to the first season that made it a breakout hit. It’s dark and mysterious, as if each week we’ll be ripping off layer after layer until we’re finally illuminated.

The focus has returned to the show’s characters and how they balance being normal and extraordinary at the same time. It’s about their thoughts and emotions, and not so much about throwing as many battles as humanly possible into an hour or two in this instance. It’s a thin line to tread, being too character driven or acting like you’re making a live action comic book. The truth is we want both, but not if one is a detriment to the other.

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK
“Redemption” will focus on a band of circus folks who actually have REAL powers. Robert Knepper (aka T-Bag from Prison Break) joins the cast as the carnies’ leader Sam, a man with a power I still don’t get but has to do with a compass. Not much has been revealed yet about their motives, but it’s clear they’re about sticking with their own. The things we have learned are that Sam wants to travel back, possibly to change his brother’s death, who’s buried during the show’s opening. I’m sure you can guess who he turns to, but how finding our other Heroes will help his plan is still to be determined.

Sam has the ability to control earth, but he can also create powerful tattoos. He uses another carnival worker Lydia’s ability to discern information from these tattoos when they’re put on her body, and he also uses a tattoo to choke Edgar when he gets a little mouthy for his liking. Edgar is another carnie with lightning fast speed and some sweet knife-wielding abilities. When Sam sent him out to find a compass, that’s important for some reason I’m sure they’ll clue us into later, he’s a little doubtful about following Sam’s lead. Maybe another hero with a conscience?

IT’S 9 O’CLOCK. DO YOU KNOW WHERE OUR HEROES ARE?
Peter is still Mr. I Need to Save the World, but he’s doing it on a much smaller scale nowadays. He’s working as a paramedic using his powers to help people who would most likely be goners if the man attempting to save them didn’t have super strength and super powers. Sadly, he’s regressed socially, ignoring calls from both his mother and Nathan.

Claire starts college but quickly becomes the odd frosh out when her roommate seemingly leaps to her death from their dorm room window. She also meets a new friend who finds out Claire’s abilities when she sees her bloodied and broken after jumping from the aforementioned window in a forensic experiment. Her friend Gretchen is played by Madeline Zima (Californication), and she was such a naughty girl on that show, I can’t really trust her just yet.

Tracy has been murdering people left and right, seeking revenge on those who tried to hunt her down and kill her last season. Danko’s still holding a grudge, but can you really blame her. It’s a kill or be killed world. A perfect example of how the show’s direction is changing, and hopefully will continue to do so, is the fact that the focus isn’t about the chase in this case. It’s about how Tracy reconciles what she’s done with what she knows is right. And the fact that Noah offers her a helping hand (even after she tried to kill him), and erased Danko’s mind to forget her and give up his hunt, gives her a second chance. Unfortunately, it’s the last chance for Danko since Edgar takes him out.

Noah, on the other hand, is getting the second chance that I think he deserves. As the poster boy for everything the Company did wrong, he’s gotten the short end of the stick. His wife still isn’t speaking to him, so he’s living a sad and lonely life. He gets a smack in the face when he calls her and a man picks up. Ouchie! All Angela wants to do is pull him back in though all he wants is his family back. And when he does get involved by finding the compass, Peter acts as his bodyguard but only for a short time, rescuing him from Edgar but leaving him with the compass. Since Edgar won’t give up, in the end Noah ends up without the goods and in the hospital. Poor HRG.

But there are two in an even worse state. Nathan, who we know is really Sylar without Sylar’s consciousness and with all of Nathan’s memories, has begun to realize that something is off. Powers he never had are starting to emerge. And when he turns to Peter, who went through a similar abilities transition, he gets no love back. Good thing he doesn’t notice how warily Angela regards him since she sees Nathan acting as Nathan but looking like Sylar in her visions.

It’s actually so burdensome that she turns to Matt, the one who locked Sylar away, to help straighten Nathan out once more. But like so many other Heroes, Matt just wants to spend time with the family he neglected and almost lost. What he did last season, though, haunts him quite figuratively. Sylar taunts at him saying what he did left a piece of him in Matt, and he wants his body back.

And across the world, Hiro is still not doing so hot since he still has the nosebleeds.  Taking it easy, he’s not doing the grand version of saving the world anymore without his time traveling powers, so he starts a cute little business with Ando called Dial-A-Hero. During  his first and only assignment so far, he freezes time but then ends up freezing himself. While he and Ando try to figure out what’s going on, he ends up going back in time and meeting Sam. He pushes Hiro to use his powers to help other people by rewriting the past. But having always thought you shouldn’t change time because of the butterfly effect, he’s hard to convince. But when he does something so small as to prevent Ando from spilling a slushy on his sister Kimiko’s favorite dress when they were kids and when he returns to the present, Ando and Kimiko are in love. Is he a fairy godfather or playing with fire?

WRAP IT UP
Just know that things are looking more and more like the Heroes so many of us loved before they went off the deep end and stated writing like they were writing fan fiction. This season is off to a promising start, but it’s happened before, and I will not get my hopes up this early on. So far so good though. Heroes, you can still take me out on that date next Monday if I didn’t hurt you too bad earlier. I can’t promise you any more than that.

Good morning!! And yeah, it’s a good morning!!

I’m sitting here listening to P!nk’s “I’m Not Dead” album and I sometimes forget how AMAZING this album is!!

But onto business!! P!nk’s making a new music video! Mickie James returned from her Implant rupture last night, only to lose to Beth Phoenix in like 1 1/2 Minutes. (But it was still a good match!) TNA made history on Sunday Night at their PPV ‘No Surrender’. The first ever TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions were crowned. ODB Reigns at TNA Knockouts Champion now. Heroes returned last (Monday) night and I think it’s off to a great start!!

P!nk announced on her Twitter that she was shooting a music video, she still has a bad left arm, but fought through the pain anyway. I’m thinking it’s for either “Bad Influence” or “I Dont Believe You” which are both set to be released as Australian singles this fall and next Spring. “Funhouse” the song is the last single from “Funhouse” the album here in the United States. I can’t wait to see what happens with the video!! And I hope it’s amazing, as P!nk has an unhealthy k for either Hitting of Missing with her music videos! Greats include “Stupid Girls” “So What” “Please Don’t Leave Me” and “Just Like a Pill” but other big misses include “Sober” “U+Ur Hand” and “Who Knew” it’s funny to me, because all three of the missed Music Videos are three of my favorite P!nk songs! I was hoping for “It’s Al Your Fault” as the next Australian single, as I love the song and find it HILLIARIOUS but I also love “Bad Influence” and hope that the music video is more of a story (like “Please Don’t Leave Me”) instead of randomness (like “Sober”). Mickie James returned to the ring (after it was reported a couple weeks ago that she had ruptured an Implant). Mickie returned and had a (not to me, but supposedly other people see it) visibly smaller chest area. I don’t see it, but I also didn’t think Mickie had had work done before. Before the match starts Lillian Garcia(on her last announcing Raw [:'(]) announces that Alicia Fox, current #1 Contender, is at ringside. The fans cheer and boo, kinda at the same time, leading that Alicia has fans and haters (Which is a really really good thing for Heels). Mickie comes down, bouncing and jumping all over and looking quite nice. Next out is Beth Phoenix. Phoenix sported a new ring attire, however it was red instead of black and made her look frumpy (In other words LOVED the outfit HATED the color). Beth starts off immediately, pushing Mickie James backwards and following up with some nice punches to the back of the head. She goes for a Springboard Suplex (a Suplex done using the ropes) only to have Mickie (really cool) flip out of it. Phoenix turns around and Mickie hits a nice neckbreaker. Mickie follows up with a low drop kick(slightly botched by both women[Mickie is a little to fast for the dropkick and Phoenix slightly over-sells it(Did to much when she got it by the dropkick)]). Mickie climbs the ring post  and DIVES onto Phoenix on the outside (THAT WAS THE COOLEST MOVE OF THE MATCH)  and then jumps to her feet screaming ‘That’s how its done!!’ and pounding on the announcers table. Alicia stands, Mickie looks ready to KILL her and she runs away. Beth however regains her senses, picks Mickie up and runs right into the ring post, squashing Mickie in between herself and the pole. Phoenix throws Mickie into the ring and hits her Glam Slam (a really really cool looking finisher where Phoenix lifts her opponent from behind and the drops them on their face) Mickie sells it perfectly (though I was SOOOO worried Mickie would re-injure her breasts [Lol that sounded Funny saying/Writing it down]). Beth leaves and Alicia takes the Divas title into the ring, waits for Mickie to stand up and kicks her in the back of the head, laying Mickie out in the middle of the ring. Alicia receives a HUGE Boo from the audience as she lays the title down at Mickie’s hands and exits the arena.

Overall it was a great match, but at only 1 1/2 Minutes it was far too short! Both Mickie and Phoenix have proved to be able to deliver longer matches in the past and it was slightly upsetting to see these two AWESOME women having to do a >5 Minute match.

In other WWE news Kelly Kelly is going to be out for about 3 Months, but stated on her Twitter that she will take that time off to improve in the ring and when she returns she will be a different and better wrestler. Let’s hope that’s true. Kelly is an ok wrestler. She’s not the best, but she’s not the worst either (that spot is held by Maria). Kelly has only like 3 moves in her arsenal (which in WWE isn’t a bad thing as the women only get like 3 to 4 Minutes to put on matches). Kelly has her K2 (a move where she doubles a person over then puts her leg on top of the neck and jumps down, slamming her opponents face into the mat), a back hand-spring elbow to an opponent in the corner, a jumping dropkick and a Hurricarranna Takeover (where she jumps onto her oponet, wrapping her legs around their neck and flipping backwards putting her oponet on their back and pinning them). None of the moves are original, however Kelly’s seem to have a nice snap to them. She also lacks personality having the same (EXTREMELY fake) smile in ever WWE Photoshoot.

Also in more WWE news. Maryse has yet to confirm how her knee is doing an dis she is doing any in-ring work to re-prepare herself for the WWE. I think she may actually be done (which would be fine with me, as I consider her boring and she only[like Kelly] has like 3 moves and her Finisher is very botchy looking).

And in 2 weeks WWE hosts another PPV! Good lord WWE!?! YOU JUST HAD ONE LAST SUNDAY!! HOW ABOUT GIVING YOUR TALENT A BREAK??!!?? The PPV is schedualed as ‘Hell in a Cell’ with all the matches being booked in the Hell in a Cell cage. I think this will take away from the Hell in a Cell match up and KNOW that no WWE Divas will be on the card.

Onto better Wrestling news: TNA makes history on Sunday night! At ‘No Surrender’ TNA crowned it’s first TNA Knockout’s Tag Team Champions.Sarita (the high flying Luchadora) and Taylor Wilde (The high flying Under-Dog) beat out The (Angelina Love-less) Beautiful People. For me the match was a slot filler. Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne are NOT good wrestlers. I have never, and most likely never will be, fans (They look like Slutty Barbie Dolls and prance around the ring in their underwear and ’sexy’ lingerie). Taylor and Sairta (however) are good wrestlers and were able to make a bad situation a little bit better. I’m glad SariTaylor (as they’re known on the web as) won, but had Angelina Love not een released I would have preferred to see The Beautiful People win.

Also on the ‘No Surrender’ card was ODB vs (Former) BoyToy Cody Deaner (and yes he’s a man). The match had very very low expectations for me and I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be pretty good. The match was about 9 minutes long and both wrestlers got time (and used it wisely) to show off some nice moves. The match came to an end with ODB hitting her new finisher (a move where she puts her opponent up on her shoulder, grabs under their neck and swings then around, driving their jaw into her biceps [it's technically called a Fireman's Carry Swinging Cutter ($or TKO) but her name for the move is yet unknown]) which looked AWESOME!! I’m glad ODB finally gets to be Knockouts Champion. And I hope their Deaner fiasco and storyline are OVER (for good)!

I’m still in between about this tag team titles. I’m not a fan of Tag Team action and TNA desn’t have any really really strong teams left anymore. With Angelina Love gone and Awesome Kong and Rasiha Saeed (kinda) angry with each other I don’t see the belts remaining for very long. With the Knockout belt I’d love to see ODB hold it for a while before eventually dropping it to Awesome Kong or Tara. I want both belts to be represented with pride and to have their holders be poised and powerful in the ring. In other words I want The Knockouts to make people start noticing them again!

And finally Heroes started again last night!! It was a pretty decent start for the show.

Character Movements: (This will probably become a full time thing as I love HEROES and will love keeping track of who does what)

Claire:

Rapid Regeneration (A really really fast Healing factor[I.E. Wolverine minus the claws])

Claire starts school. She has distanced herself from the ‘other’ people like her and is going to try and live a ‘normal’ life. She meets her new roommate (who I hated in the first two minutes) and a fun new stalker-ish friend (this could lead to some really really fun Akward-Turtle moments). Towards the end Claire’s roommate kills herself (YES) and as Claire (completely indestructible) throws herself out the window her new friend watches, clearly horrified.

Peter:

Able to absorb abilities from those around him, can only use one power at a time.

Is being a real ‘Hero’ he’s using Suresh’s spider-like abilities to save people, to try and make up for the things his parents have done in the past. He helps Noah Bennet (Claire’s adopted Dad) stop a seedy killer and gains that quick ability (and then decides he’s going to keep it and save even MORE people).

Nathan (in Syler’s Body):

Flight.

Begins to discover there’s something wrong.

Matt Parkman

Telepathy (the ability to read, communicate and influence another living mind)

Is now seeing Sylar all the time (after making Syler’s body think it was Natahn). He’s trying not to use his abilities, but int he end Sylar forces him to.

Mrs Angela Petrellia:

Cognitive Sight while in a slumbered state (Able to see the future while asleep).

Still layed by the EXTREMELY cool Cristine Rose. She is trying to start up another company, and is using Nathan’s political power and Noah’s tough, savvy, street cred, know-how. She is horrified to learn that Syler is starting to resurface in her son, and is clearly still mourning her child’s death. (She’s gonna be another one to watch after the last two parts made her into a wickedly awesome character.)

Hiro and And

Hiro-Able to freeze time.

Ando-Red concussive energy blasts (red lightning)

Hiro and Ando are still running around being dumb. I have not (and as with Madison and Velvet) and most likely never will like them. There is something about Hiro that tics me off. Hir and Ando are trying to play Heroes-for-hire. They save a cat and Hiro get’s stuck in a frozen time state. He unfreezes and announces to Ando that he is dying (YES) Ando is obviously sad and asks if there is anyway to save him (Please say no). Hiro goes back into the past and, while not affecting himself completely, builds a beautiful relationship between best friend Ando and sister Kimiko.

Noah

No powers (Other than Bad-assery!!).

Noah is trying to find Tracy Strauss (Nikki’s twin sister and Ice Queen). He finds her, offers to help her, and has his Haitian friend wipe Volume 4’s Baddy  (Danko) mind wiped. He goes with Peter to find a compass Danko died to protect and is almost killed by Danko’s speedy killer. In the end he is dealing with his wife’s ability to move on from the life they built together and turns to the woman he was hunting: Tracy.

Tracy Strauss

Ice/Water Manipulation

Tracy is killing off the people who tortured her during Volume Four. She goes after Noah, who is saved by Danko, and when she goes after him she sees him killed by a speedy knife wielding super baddy! Tracy and Noah share a nice tender moment as the episode closes (Leading me to wonder is they’ll form a nice tough-as-nails couple).

The Circus Freaks

So far we’ve only met like three of them: Samuel, the ringleader, the Speedy Knife Slinger and a woman who’s tattoos are able to change and reveal special things about people.

So far so good. I’m looking for ward to the rest of this season, and unlike seemingly everyone else, I liked the last two volumes (Villains and Fugitives).

So in conclusion: P!nk’s Awesome. Lol. WWE is starting to get SLIGHTLY impressive. TNA has made history and will hopefully start getting their writers back in sync and kicking ass again. HEROES is back…and looks set to take on all TV Shows this season.

Hayden (Claire):

- Não tem cenas filmadas com Zachary (Sylar) ainda, mas sabemos que esses dois não podem ser mantidos longe umas das outras e mais tendo em conta as conseqüências do que aconteceu no final da terceira temporada.
- Não tiro muitas cenas que estão relacionados com o divórcio de seus pais na ficção, Sandra e Noah Bennet.
- O episódio 9 será um episódio muito pesado de Claire.
- Vamos ver mais de seus poderes.

Masi (Hiro):

- Ando vai se casar com Kimiko, irmã de Hiro no episódio 4×01!
- O episódio 8 vai ser the”heavy”  a história do Hiro / Charlie.
- Não tem certeza sobre o destino de Hiro. Será que ele vai morrer ou ser salva no fim?

A finales de Septiembre (el 21 para ser más exactos), se empezará a emitir en la televisión americana el quinto volumen de Héroes, Redención (es decir, la cuarta temporada), y visto lo visto, no pinta nada mal. Nuevas incorporaciones en el reparto tal y como viene siendo habitual, en este quinto volumen serán Madeline Zima (Mia en Californication) y Robert Knepper (Prison Break o Transporter 3).

Pero ¿se resolveran finalmente todas las dudas que se plantearon durante la tercera temporada? ¿Retomaran ciertos hilos que al principio del volumen 3 parecían muy importantes y a lo largo del 4º volumen se diluyeron para dejar paso a otras subtramas?

Nosotros aún tendremos que esperar hasta 2010 seguramente para ver que ocurre con todos estos héroes y villanos, que si bien siempre tienen un buen arranque, a mitad de los volumenes pierden fuelle para acabar con un buen final pero que deja un sabor agridulce por la rapidez de los desenlaces que muestran.

If there’s one problem I’ve had with my beloved NBC hit, Heroes, it’s not that it’s lacking a stellar premise, nor is it at a loss for good actors or strong ideas. Rather, it’s that the folks behind Heroes don’t seem to have it together when it comes to keeping their plot arcs together and not crowding the show with new characters season after season. They tend to forget about their core cast and fail to flesh out the characters we know and love, instead spreading themselves thin and making it more and more difficult to care about what’s happening. Not to mention that their favourite stunt seems to be killing off (or UN-killing off) anyone giving them trouble plot-wise. There’s no doubt they’ve fallen from grace since their incredible first season, but maybe there’s hope. Or…maybe there isn’t: At MTV.com, Hayden Pannetiere indicates that we might just get more of the same:

Though season four of NBC’s “Heroes” won’t start for a few more months, Hayden Panettiere told MTV News that there’s a new mysterious group that fans can look forward to in September: The Carnival.

Panettierre, who plays the title role in July 10th’s “I Love You, Beth Cooper”, is already preparing for more adventures as super-powered cheerleader Claire Bennet.

“The next season of ‘Heroes’ has a lot of characters that are coming in,” says Panettierre, “There’s something called The Carnival… which is kind of the opposite of what The Company was. There’s a lot of new, cool characters.”

The Carnival, judging from leaked casting sheets that appeared on “Heroes” fansites will be represented literally. That means barkers, freaks and –- mostly likely -– more than a fair share of cotton candy. (spoiler warning there)

In the meantime, “Heroes” fans should be getting a healthy dose of their favorites actors on the big screen. Between Zachary Quinto in “Star Trek”, Ali Larter in “Obsessed”, Milo Ventimiglia in “Gamer” and Panettierre in “Beth Cooper,” there’s no shortage of the core cast in Hollywood’s overlapping circle. It does, however, lead one to ask when we’re going to get a decent Masi Oka vehicle blockbuster. Oh wait, we are.

But fortunately, Heroes fans who miss the days of Nathan’s political career, Isaac’s paintings and only one variation on Jessica can check out the original Mezco Heroes action figures over at our online store.

So I just came across this bit of Heroes news for season four. To wit: Claire’s gonna be a little gay with her college roommate, more gay if the fans like it.

Let’s start with the second part, with more if the fans go for it. Apparently Kring and company didn’t learn from their sucky-ass third volume to not always listen to the fans. Sure, being aware of your audience and crafting your show to appeal to them is part of the job of showrunning, but don’t try and do everything the fans want you to do! For one thing, sucky-ass, and for another the fans often don’t actually want what they want to happen to happen. We want to watch things play out how you’ve planned them, while wishing they went the way we wanted. And we’ll praise some things and bitch about others. It’s how we do. I really don’t understand how you aren’t getting this, maybe you should talk to other showrunners or something, learn from your peers. Why am I writing this as if Kring is reading it?

Anyway, on to the gay part of this rant. I actually don’t mind this. Has there been any remote indication of Claire being less than completely straight? Unless you count holding hands with a power-malfunctioning KBell on a plane (and I know some of you do), then nope, nuthin’. But on the other hand Claire’s relationships are always super-lame and go nowhere. There was West in season two, who… I don’t know, no explanation of what the hell happened to him post-s2 was ever given. Then there was… Comic Store Gill Guy, I don’t even remember his name, who lasted for about 4 episodes and I can guarantee we won’t see again. I’m willing to bet Madeline Zima will just be more of the same.

I have a theory that all of Claire’s relationships aren’t sexual or romantic, they stem completely from the show needing to have her onscreen and having no idea what to do, so they just throw in a person for her to kiss until the next time Sylar shows up or she disobeys HRG or whatever. So the next plot device relationship being a girl? Sure, I guess. I mean the only meaningful relationship Claire’s had on the show was with her gay/un-gay best friend John Connor in season one. Maybe what they need to do is give her a friend again. Or kill her off.

Besides, everyone knows Heroes gay couples are Parkman/Mohinder and Nathan/Hiro.

I really like superheroes. I like comic books and the movies based on them. While these adaptations seldom live up to the the source material, they are almost always at the very least entertaining. I’m up for anything that involves people having powers. So, then, it shouldn’t really come as a surprise that I tuned into the NBC show Heroes. It was interesting. I was actually in the midst of putting together a comic book myself. Well, I can’t draw to save my life, but I had entirely put together the back story and had all my characters and powers and everything straight. And then, Heroes came along and did basically did I was doing. It pissed me off a little, but I never expected my idea to take off at all. My main character was a time-bender, so of course Heroes had to have the chronokinetic Hiro Nakamura. The thing that pissed me off the most though, was (from now on, I’m going to put spoilers in white font. If you want to see it, just highlight it.) *spoiler*I had my character accidentally travel back in time to Feudal Japan. Lo and behold, at the end of the first season, Hiro accidentally traveled back to Feudal Japan. I couldn’t believe it. Oh well.*end spoiler.*

So, anyway, I rather enjoyed the first season of Heroes. It had some annoying characters and some inane plot points, as well as a rather disappointing climax. Poor writing has always been a problem with this show. So many characters just seem to flip flop sides over and over again. Sylar literally switches sides every single episode. Throughout the abbreviated second season, in light of the writer’s strike and a decline in quality, I found myself growing disinterested in the show. I continued to watch it, but the damage had been done. I didn’t bother watching much of the third season, but I tuned in occasionally. The show seemed to be experiencing the same problems. All across the Internet, the general consensus is that the show has declined in quality beyond repair and has jumped the fated shark.

As I did in my previous blog, I tend to assume that everyone spends their days on the Internet like I do. Well, I must realize that people, unlike myself, actually have lives, so I can’t make some assumptions that I tend to make. I would assume that most people know what the expression jump the shark means, but I suppose I owe an explanation. The term originates from an episode of Happy Days when Fonzie literally jumps over a shark. Since then, the phrase has come to designate a point in time when a show has declined in popularity and will seemingly do anything to draw in more viewers . It could also mean a point in time where a show starts such a decrease in quality. So, many claim that Heroes has already jumped the shark. If it in fact has not as of yet, it’s damn close and a rumored plot point for the upcoming fourth season may just be the nail in the closet.

One of the most prominent characters in the series is Claire Bennet, played by Hayden Panettiere, a last name I will never remember how to spell or pronounce. You’re probably heard that catchphrase from the first season, “Save the cheerleader. Save the World.” Or maybe you haven’t. You probably have, though. Anyway, Claire is a rather large part of the show. And, now with the show suffering in the ratings and the obvious truth that it’s not as good as it used to be, Heroes is going for broke.

Claire is going gay. Yep, so goes the rumor mill, at least. I was on IGN the other day and saw an article titled “Heroes: Lesbian Storyline?” Naturally, I clicked on it. Apparently, it was reported that when Claire is going away to college, she will “share sleeping quarters (and maybe more)” with her roommate. Now,the part in parenthesis is what we have in question. Maybe more? What the hell does that mean? That alone doesn’t necessarily confirm a lesbian plot line, but I think it’s going to happen regardless. According to Entertainment Weekly ’s Michael Ausiello, we’re at least going to see a lesbian kiss. This is what he had to say: “I’m not sure about a full-blown relationship, but I can confirm that the college roomies will engage in a little sapphic experimentation. At least that’s the plan.”

So, Heroes is desperate for ratings and now they’re going to try to pull in viewers with some hot college girl on girl action. Sigh….. this is not going to work. I cannot imagine this being done well at all. The Heroes writers have many times over proven to be rather incompetent and they don’t have what it takes to pull off a storyline like this. Honestly, it’s probably impossible to make something like this seem feasible. Claire has never been before been implied in any way to be gay or even bi. Now, I know that college is a time of experimentations and such, but there is no way this is going to feel natural. Buffy the Vampire Slayer managed to pull this plot off, but that show had very capable writers and Joss Whedon, a guy who really knows what he’s doing. They way they went about it and taking their time with the whole lesbian development of Willow was well done. I cannot imagine Heroes coming close to that. I’m sorry, but that’s just my opinion. This seems rather like a last ditch effort to ensnare viewers.

I think Hayden Panettiere is hot. The actress to play her roommate, Madeline Zima, is also somewhat attractive. I haven’t watched Heroes in quite some time. I’m going to be completely honest. If there really is going to be some kind of lesbian action on Heroes, then I will almost certainly start watching the show again. Call me pathetic or what you will; I can’t fight what type of guy I really am. I cannot resist lesbians. I never watched one episode of The O.C., but I watched the episode with a lesbian kiss. I know I’m a rather shallow and ridiculous human being, but I at least admit it. I do not think this will save Heroes at all. Sure, they may get a few pathetic horndogs (like myself) to tune in, but the show will never be able to return to its former glory. I do have to say, though, that on that one episode with Claire and Elle on the plane, I did feel like those two had a bit of a connection. If it was those two who engaged in a lesbian relationship, (I am absolutely infatuated with Elle’s actress, Kristen Bell) then my life would basically be complete. So, those are my thoughts. Heroes – interest + lesbians = shark jump! Regardless of all that I’ve said about declining quality and the fact that is an obvious probably futile attempt to get more ratings, I’m still going to watch the show if this actually happens. As I’ve said, I’m a rather pathetic human being who’s gone his nearly twenty years without so much as a single girlfriend or even kiss. Heroes is going to get people like me to tune in, but they sure as hell aren’t getting any more than that.

Aunque las informaciones llegarán con cuentagotas a lo largo del verano “Héroes” la semana pasada comenzó con las grabaciones de sus primeros capítulos y al respecto tenemos varias noticias.

Os presento a otro nuevo personaje que se une al cast de “Héroes”. Su nombre es Rick Worthy, actor al que hemos podido ver no hace mucho tiempo en la serie “Battlestar Galactica” interpretando a Simon.

En la serie será el nuevo compañero de batalla de Matt Parkman, lo que hace suponer que volveremos a verle vestido con el traje de policía intentando llevar una vida lo más normal posible.

Finalmente se ha confirmado que “Héroes” tendrá un papel especial en la Comic Con de San Diego que tan promete. En los últimos años, la serie ha presentado en esta convención un delante de la nueva temporada, y ante las distintas declaraciones que afirmaban que “Héroes” quedaría fuera de este acto Tim Kring ha tenido que confirmar que tendrá un papel especialmente para ello, donde presentará un avance de la nueva temporada, como va siendo habitual.

Además también han empezado a salir las primeras imágenes del rodaje, que como he dicho ya ha dado comienzo, y la verdad es que se estaban retrasando mucho ya. En estas imágenes se centran únicamente en la eterna animadora Claire Bennet, a la que observamos ahora en un ambiente más universitario. Atrás quedan sus días como animadora o ese famoso “Salva a la animadora, salva al mundo” y ahora sus problemas serán universitarios.

El ambiente donde se rueda es la universidad de UCLA y como curiosidad decir que ya podemos ver a Zima (en la parte de atrás de la foto). Habrá nuevas experiencias para Claire ya que se rumorea que podría tener una relación lésbicas alguna de sus compañeras, y es que viendo lo mal que le ha ido con los hombres en la serie, no sería de extrañar.

Some are no-brainers such as Ripley (#1) and Uhura (#9), but some selections are real head-scratchers like Claire Bennet (#11) of Heroes and Pris (#13) of Blade Runner.

The list earns serious coolness points for including Marina (#25) of Stingray. However, there’s no place for Mikaela Banes (#17) of TransFormers in a group like this – especialy ahead of Wonder Woman (#22).

Total Sci-Fi limited themselves to TV and film, but apparently “film” doesn’t include web-based video, or they would have included Penny (Felicia Day) of Dr. Horrible and Anna Diaz (Rosario Dawson) of Gemini Division .

Os traigo ahora las buenas nuevas sobre la nueva temporada de “Héroes” que ya ha comenzado el rodaje de la que será su cuarta temporada.

Primero que ya se han dado a conocer los primeros títulos de los episodios 1 y 2 de la temporada nueva. Estos son: 4×01 Orientation (como el tercer episodio de la segunda temporada de “Perdidos”) y 4×02 Jump, Push, Fall… ¿os sugieren algo?

A los fichajes que  ya se conocían de Robert Knepper y Madeline Zima que ya os anunciábamos semanas atrás se ha conocido el nuevo de Rachel Melvin, que interpretará a la nueva compañera de universidad de Claire, Annie, la que sería ya la segunda. Aunque parece ser que está sí que tendrá poderes y además se rumorea que conocerá los de Claire, lo que no sabemos cómo influirá en la trama de la temporada. A esta actriz la hemos podido ver en “Los mejores días de nuestras vidas”.

Por otra parte hay que destacar que “Héroes” ha sido nominado en 7 categorías a los Saturn Awards. Entre ellos destacar especialmente la mejor edición de una serie en DVD (para la segunda temporada), mejor serie, mejor actor secundario para Adrian Pasdar (Nathan Petrelli) y Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli), mejor actriz secundaria para Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet), mejor aparición estelar para Kristen Bell (Elle Bishop) y Robert Forster (Arthur Petrelli). Parece ser que nuestros héroes particulares podrían triunfar en estos premios ya que estas abundantes nominaciones dicen bastante de la calidad que la serie está llevando.

¿Qué os parecen todas las informaciones? Es posible que tengamos un veranito cargado de spoilers y rumores antes de que empiece la nueva temporada.

Si creíamos que no íbamos a saber cosas de “Héroes” hasta el estreno de la nueva temporada, estábamos bien equivocados. Tim Kring, creador de la serie, ha dado a grandes rasgos las que serán las líneas argumentales aunque sin avanzar demasiado para no romper el encanto. Y es que pensar que a la semana que viene ya se empieza a rodar por lo que deben tener bastante clara como será parte de la trama. (Posibles spoilers)

Temas a destacar de la nueva temporada: la trama girará en torno a cómo las personas con habilidades viven su vida ajenos a todo ¿ocultarán sus habilidades a los demás? No se ha dejado claro.

Los hermanos Petrelli intentarán llevar sus vidas a la normalidad. Peter tratará de recobrar el sentido de héroes, salvando vidas ¿volverá otra vez a ser el enfermero perpetuo? Tendrá relación con una poderosa mujer que tiene muchas cosas que ofrecerle, mientras que Nathan comenzará a descubrir cosas sobre sí mismo, que mira que es complicado ya que en realidad no es Nathan sino Sylar. Matt por su parte se sentirá culpable de lo ocurrido con Nathan ya que él es el artífice de todo, e intentará recobrar a su familia (se ha confirmado la presencia de Matt Jr.).

Se intentará crear otra nueva compañía en parte gracias a Angela Petrelli, Tracy Strauss y Noah, aunque reflejara otra nueva línea centrándose en las personas. Y se rumorea ya la posible muerte de uno de los personajes, en especial el personaje que se baraja es Hiro, que seguirá con sus dolores de cabeza y sangrando a causa de usar sus poderes.

En cuanto a las nuevas incorporaciones tenemos en primer lugar a Madelina Zima (de “Californication”) que interpretará a Gretchen, la compañera de habitación en la universidad donde estudiara Claire. La eterna animadora tendrá que aprender a llevar una vida normal, aunque el tortuoso divorcio de sus padres y un suicidio en el campus universitario compliquen las cosas. Además también llegará Robert Knepper (de “Prison Break”) que dará vida a Samuel, un personaje bastante retorcido aunque estará en el bando contrario, papel que le pega a las mil maravillas.

También se pueden añadir a estos dos fichajes (que vemos en la fotografía) el de Ray Park, un especialista del cine que ha sido conocido por interpretar a Darth Maul en “Star Wars: Episodio I: La Amenaza Fantasma”. Seguramente será uno de los personajes viviendo en el circo que dará mucho juego en la nueva temporada. Y también entra a formar parte del cast de la nueva temporada Deanne Bray que supuestamente vendría a interpretar el nuevo interés amoroso de Peter Petrelli.

¿Qué os parece lo que está por llegar? Tiene buena pinta… aunque es mejor no aventurar nada ya que eso parecía la 3ª temporada y después fue una gran decepción.
