Clarks Originals have recently celebrated the 60th anniversary of its Desert Boot, by creating six new and unique designs that represent every decade since its launch in the 1950’s. Our favourite one has got to be the 1990’s model, a blue suede shoe covered with the Union Jack, reminding us of the Britpop years and Noel Gallagher’s epiphone guitar.

We’ve also seen quite a few collaborations launching. The Peter McKee x Clarks desert boots at Modculture, features a Mod-style look , which isn’t suprising considering Peter McKee has done some artwork for Oasis. We havent heard of anyone stocking the shoes though…

The Clarks Wallabee is also source of interest through its non production sample model that has been made from Barbour fabrics. Unfortunately, according to Selectism, there are no plans for it to be stocked in the near future.

Meine Begegnung mit Latigo meine Clarks Women's Sandal war sehr spontan noch Glück gehabt. Ich war in einer der Outlet Malls, die Suche nach einem guten Paar Sandalen. Ich brauchte etwas, das mit Stil Krempe und zur gleichen Zeit hatte das Wesen des Komforts. Ich ging sofort von einem Schuhgeschäft und sah sofort, dieses Paares. Leider hat das Geschäft nicht meine Größe. Alles, was sie hatten, Sandalen Weise größer als meine Größe. Dennoch schaffte ich es, auf einem von ihnen zu versuchen. Es war weich, die Fußsohlen undsie fühlte sich großartig an. Damit fühlte ich mich enttäuscht. Der Schreiber dann vorgeschlagen, dass ich versuche, es online.

Ich tat es und für meine Größe nach geordnet. Als ich ihn bekam, wurde mir klar, dass es ein bisschen größer als ich erwartet hatte. Ich war fast am Boden zerstört, aber dank der verstellbaren Riemen, konnte ich reibungslos laufen und keine Unruhe Erfahrung. Wie das erste Mal, dass ich sie trug, fühlte es sich so bequem zu Fuß in ihnen! Er bewegte sich mit meinen Füßen, und ich sah, wie flexibel es war. Das Gefühl war anders im Vergleich zu meiner altendaheim. Ich war so froh, dass sie Schuhe, wie diese gemacht.

Bisher habe ich trage sie an verschiedene Orte und Dinge. Obwohl ich mich zu Fuß oder im Stehen stundenlang in dieser Ereignisse, die ich nicht das Gefühl, keine Beschwerden. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Sandalen habe ich gekauft, behält er seine weiche Kissen ist auch bis zum Ende des Tages. Aufgrund der Tatsache, dass es offen zu tun, meine Füße nicht das Gefühl, zu müde. Und mit meinem Wunsch zu sehen gut aus, ich bin in der Lage, um es entweder mit Jeans oder Röcke tragen. Mit allendass würde, muss ich sagen, dass ich verliebt bin mit meinem Paar. Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass Frauen, die diese Clarks Women's Latigo Sandal versuchen würde, würde auch aus den gleichen Gedanken haben.

Normally, I tend to shy away from trends.  I usually prefer classic styles, and trends come and go so quickly, that it seems pointless to spend too much time worrying about them.  However, sometimes a certain trend will really resonate with me.  When that happens, I will wear, even after it’s gone out of fashion.  Today’s outfit embraces two current trends: belted cardigans and layered chain necklaces.

I. loved. this. outfit. so. much.  I felt amazing all day.  The combination of wearing my new favorite belt, my beautiful new necklace, and my pencil skirt which always looks awesome, was the perfect storm.  Not to mention my beautiful new $2 Ann Taylor tank.

All this has made me realize something.  I MUST buy more pencil skirts.  In good fabrics with quality tailoring.  I think I will be spending my Christmas money next month at J. Crew.

Apparently a couple leaked photos of non-production samples of Wallabees made from Barbour fabrics — something that as Selectism puts it, “is pipe dream status with the interior patterned check, leather piping, and leather heel appliqué”, but “will most likely never see the light of day”. Seriously, this shoe is sick. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

As far as I’m concerned; I need these in my life.
Clarks shoes arn’t usually the most fashionable of shoes but they’re always damn comfortable and worth every penny. So when a can’t-live-without pair come along, they really are can’t-live-without. But apparantly the rest of the world agrees with me and as a result they’re sold out. Gutted!

I guess the original plan of Docs will have to do. Despite their lack of wooly lining.
 
 

Yes, uber original title, I know.  I wore this outfit when there was a big principal’s meeting at the school I work at.  It was hosted in the media center, so I wanted a polished, professional appearance.

I think this black and white blouse is quickly becoming one of my favorite thrifting finds.  The material is so soft, the print so modern and versatile.  It’s definitely becoming a staple piece for me.

Whenever I need to look really professional, I always reach for my pearl necklace.  To me, no other jewelry looks quite as polished and sophisticated.

Inspired by Kimberly’s Inspiration Calendar, I decided to try a color combo that I’ve never ventured into before: navy, black and brown.  I usually shy away from all-neutral combos, because I really love color.  But I still found this a fun experiment.

The funny thing is, the entire day, I kept thinking about a character I performed in a play in high school.  She was Estelle, leader of the popular clique.  My main line was this: “Oh my God, did you see what Becky was wearing at the party last night? A brown belt and black shoes.  Ugh.  That is such a social no-no”.  This made me smile, since I was totally breaking that rule today.

I think that this look might have worked better with a short black cardigan, but since my only black cardigan didn’t really work with this dress (because it’s a crew neck) I had to improvise.  I think it would have looked fantastic with a cropped black blazer as well.

It’s Monday and I’m trying not to have the blues. 5 more minutes till the end of the work day. Need to cobble some money together for a new camera soon… Crappy pictures, bleagh! Oh and I tried to colour the pink out by going over it with a $6 box of dye at home. My bangs turned out red instead of brown like it was supposed to (see colour of the entire head for reference). Not too shabby though.

1. Red Wing’s:
   In 1905, Charles H. Beckman started the Red Wing Shoe Company in Red Wing, Minnesota. The first boot sold for $1.75. With the trend reverting back towards American workwear/footwear, consumers have been looking for timeless staples that will remain in their closet for years to come ( Sorry flourescent colored shoes ) While, they borrowed from the classic silhouettes we have featured above (desert boot) there are many subtleties and details that make them unique in their own respect.  With Canadian retailer Ransom at the helm, you know these will stand up to the harsh Canadian winter. And they’re Adidas, show some love mmkay?

So that about wraps out our first installment for this winter season. I’m personally waiting for a pair of clarks to arrive, while Justin beat me to the punch and has been rocking these to keep his feet warm. Beautiful eh?

Anyone want to send some cold weather down to Florida?  There’s so many fall looks that I’m itching to wear, but ever since our one cold spat, it’s been in the eighties most days.  So I’ve decided that if the fall weather won’t come to us, then I’ll make fall looks work for warm weather.

Today’s look is very similar to what I wore on the one cold day so far, except with this version, I’m wearing a summer scarf, a light cotton cardigan, cotton leggings and sandals.  I had to remove a few layers during the hottest part of the day, but otherwise this worked fine.  Take that Florida heat!

I’m not sure how I managed to take so few photos of this outfit, because I absolutely loved it.  I felt kind like a secretary on Mad Men all day, although this outfit still pales in comparison with Joan Holloway.  I just recently got this skirt altered.  The fit just wasn’t right before. I got the waist taken in and the hips let out, and it looks much better now.

I love how the amethyst necklace made the cardigan look more plum than burgandy.  And you better believe that’s cashmere.  One day I hope to own lots of cashmere.

SS10 press days are in full swing at the moment…I headed down to Clarks the other day and was amazed at how gorgeous the handbags were!
Tactile leathers, tan suede and contrasting colours are combined with buckles, tarnished fittings and stitched detailing to create some gorgeous handbags for spring.
You can buy the range online from early next year at www.clarks.co.uk. Clogs are also back for ss10 and Clarks showcased a great range in black, stone and tan leather, along with some fab wooden wedge heels.

I’ll be completely honest in saying that this outfit didn’t exactly wow me.  I like the magenta and navy color combo, but I’m just not sure about how the whole outfit came together.  Maybe it would have looked better with a magenta skinny belt?  Or with a skirt instead of grey pants? (Which are looking much better since I got the legs tapered a bit).  Or maybe it was just that the fact that the blouse is a poly-cotton blend was staying in my subconscious all day.  And while I love this purse (thanks Mary!) I’m not sure that it works with this outfit.  How would you re-style this outfit?  Or do you think it’s just fine like this?
