I could not find a support group to fill my needs, so I started this blog to chronicle my successes, journal about my failures, and gain community support for my baby steps.

Already, by photographing my clutter, I’ve realized the problem wasn’t as enormous as I had feared. My photos don’t even come close to photos taken of true hoarding.

Tonight, as I was working my way through still another window full of Hatchlings tabs, my Mac had a kernel panic. Not incredibly unusual lately, as I’ve known she’s been in need of “professional attention,” but my heart sank when she shut down mid-boot. Tried again (and again (and again)) with no luck. Sigh. Off she goes to California tomorrow, with me hoping I haven’t lost the contents of the drive. Me? Back up? Why?

Now, I’d love to at least do a *little* troubleshooting before I send her off, but that would require a disk … a disk I *own* but cannot seem to locate. If my house was of the clean and organized variety, this would be a sign of trouble. As it is, though, a missing disc turns my eyes to the piles of boxes strewn about the house and makes me rack my brain for the last place I may have seen said disc, which was close to a year ago. Awesome.

The somewhat amusing part of this story is that I have two PC towers here. One isn’t in fabulous shape, the other is in questionable shape. I find some humor in the fact that I feel more motivated to rip through piles of boxes like a crackhead looking for a fix rather than just heft some equipment and set up a PC. Mac love, I has it. LOL.

Also good is that my somewhat unnecessary acquisition of the BlackBerry is now “justified.” I can post and mail and chat at the time and place of my choosing, but I’ll need to sit at a desk to game. For the short-term best? I’ll grudgingly say “maybe,” especially if it gets me to sift through some boxes.

I actually cleaned today. I cleaned some of my apartment. I cleaned the bathroom and did some vacuuming too. For some reason, I always feel as if I accomplished something whenever I clean. It makes me feel good, weird.

I made a trip to Big Lots too. After my brother called and talked with me this morning. I got a new antenna for my t.v. and found some Chantilly perfume and lotion and just had to have that for myself. I saw a few toys I’d love to have too. But I had to put them back.

I put in one of my DVD’s, “There Will Be Blood”. It’s got Daniel Day Lewis as the main actor. So I brought Pinkie into the bedroom with me and put the big blue comfy blanket on the bed. She spent the movie with me, cuddling. She’s such a cuddler that bunny. She even made little squeeky noises before she fell asleep, all cute. I’ve never heard a bunny do that. I petted her a lot, and every time I’d stop petting her for even a second, she’d look at me as if to say “hey”. And I’d have to keep my hand on her. She grinds her teeth when she’s content. It was funny when Nala came into the bedroom to see what we were doing. She stood in the doorway and mewed a little. Pinkie sat up and looked at her. And the went back to cuddling. And Nala seemed okay with it all, laying down in the doorway until the movie was over.

My mother just called me too. She made a big meal over at her place. My brother and his kids and family went over there and had a dinner. I miss that about my mother, her great cooking.

It was hot today, the weather that is. I even put on my air conditioner for a little while. And I just realized that I’m hungry. I haven’t eaten but a salad and some coffee cake today. But I haven’t got much food.

I’m thinking about going to Bethany this Saturday for dinner. Since Sharon told me that Bernie is having a Thanksgiving dinner there on Saturday. I’ll make something or bring some chips. Ah, now I am craving chips.

I know I haven’t updated for a while so here it goes:
Wednesday aka. PAYDAY
Went down into the city with Anna, Caroline and Kalle and did some shopping for Sex and the City night (Friday). I didn’t find all that fun stuff to write about except for really nice curtains from Indiska. Silver with some black oriental print on it. (picture will come later) but I needed to try and see if I liked it in my apartment so I just bought one, I hate that they only have a set of one curtain so you need to buy two. SUCKS.
Headed to ICA for some major grocery shopping. The second one I did since I moved in to the new apartment. Came home and saw the third Underworld movie and then went to sleep.

Thursday
Had class today but for some strange reason I got stomach pain from the breakfast so I was home. Went into town and bought the second curtain which ended up being just one left *phew*. Went home and started cleaning. So now I’ve been power cleaning and still not 100% done. But my back hurts and I should make dinner but I just finished cleaning all the dishes. Well we will see…might just end up being a cup of Green Chai tea or something.

Who ever said cleaning is boring?! I love wearing kinky and sexy outfits, or just nothing at all to tidy up my house. Basically the only thing I need are a pair of good rubber gloves and I am all ready to go. Household gloves that smell sweet, rubbery and some even smell like candy. Some with a smooth surface or a ribbed one, I like em all. Whenever I travel, the first thing I do, is go to the local supermarkets and buy loads of new pairs. It is amazing how different gloves are all over the world, I love to collect them in all kinds of colors. Some of my fans are even so nice to send me some, thanks guys!

I wear them to protect my hands and nails against chemicals and dirt, or even in the bedroom, kitchen, outdoors…I don’t need an excuse to put them on hehe. My partner adores them, he loves the ribbed ones best…The way my gloved hand grips his hard dick blows his mind, and he does alot of blowing…blowing his load of cum that is.

Orgasms come fast when rubbing my pussy with rubber gloves, the combination of smell and friction does the trick for me. Hence why I love leather and latex too…that could possibly explain my love for gloves, the combos: feminine, dominant, great smell, great friction and the way I look wearing them.

Hard to explain, I never was good with words, let’s keep it too…It feels great…let’s keep cleaning in gloves and just tidy up the sticky mess afterwards lol!

Ok, so I didnt take very long between posts today. My lunch got cancelled when I saw the state my housemates had left the kitchen in, so I settled for Crumpets with peanut butter on. WORST. MISTAKE. EVER. Don’t try it at home is all I can say. It felt like I had a mouth full of industrial strength glue. Couldnt chew for shit!

My flatmate (the one I dont like) has developed a last minute life and has gone out so I have the house to myself to chillax. And I am doing it in the best possible way. Updating my blogs, listening to the Buffy, Once More, With Feeling Soundtrack (and singing along quite loudly).

It looks like once I am done procrastinating, I will have to clean up the shithole I am forced to live in, because the rest of the people here are incapable it would seem. I usually love cleaning, but I don’t love having to pick up after a group of twenty somethings. I aint their mother.

Just to add, I wish all my American and Canadian readers a happy Thanksgiving. I saw a bit of the parade on the news here earlier. At least I think it was part of the parade. Some guy was being interviewed and a load of clowns went past him in the background. Could have just been a clown convention I guess.

I know I have you all a little stressed too about our living situation, and I am truly sorry about that. Sometimes I forget that I’m writing to other people. I get in daydream mode (or crazy annoyed and blinded mode as the last post showed) and I just forget.

You’re all so sweet for your replies and for caring. Thankyou!

Today was a different day. I woke up relatively unstressed, and it continued that way as I meandered through cleaning chores and played with the girls, squeezing their little bodies till I thought I might “kill them with kindness”.

Today felt really different. I think once I ascertain the root of my frustrations (realising I actually wasn’t trusting in God) and set some course of action (actually trust in God), then my thoughts fall in line. Whoever said “go with your heart” obviously had no idea how deceitful a heart can be. Mine almost always leads me in the opposite direction to truth.

My day was filled with conversations with my Mum over tea and then a spot of cleaning (delightful), conversations with the carpet cleaning man (also delightful even though it cost me $120), conversations with my church friend Elise (continuing the delight), and then ending with a final delightful dinner with some old friends, Sally and Sammy (they’re not old, but the friendship is…) And I’ve got to say that I think a “spaz out” every now and again may be good for me. As some of you know, I’m not a fan of physical exertion, so the energy occasionally peaks in stress and finds a vent to break free. Fortunately, the vent is now sealed again, and the steam will hopefully turn to water soon if God can help me along a little more with the trust issue. Plus, doing some intensive exercise every now and again wouldn’t go astray…

Many things. Below, you will see the list from my last post, with the completed tasks appropriately marked. I have to say, I’m pretty proud of how well I’ve done, at least when it comes to the house! I’m working on the things for class too, but have not made the progress I’d LIKE. But I have made some, and that’s better than nothing.

Wash clothes – done. And brought them to the laundromat because the clothes HAD to be washed like NOW because of a small mishap with thawing the turkey, and the clothes in Mt. Washmore were the only things to soak all the water up (the towels too, but the clothes helped A LOT!).
Pick up floor – done
Pick up garbage – done
Vacuum – done
Sort P’s toys – done (I’m proud of this, it’s usually the kind of thing I DON’T get around to!)
Sort and bring down old toys for my nephew (to be) – done (same as above)
Fold clothes – done! I swear, I’ve never folded clothes faster than I did at the laundromat!
Get rid of game consoles
Dishes, dishes and more dishes – down to a few things from today, plus the glasses!
Weave in ends of baby blanket
Work on response paper – some—a start on part 1, not sure WHAT I’m going to do for the rest. I’ve got to find a way to watch the movie!
Research for debate on torturing terrorists – started! yay!
Do Social Statistics exercise

Also, I managed to:

Make a good grocery list for food
Go get groceries
Bring paper to be recycled
Bring sorted toys not to be handed down to Salvation Army
Make up the brine for the turkey
Make 2 apple pies

I think that’s it. I’ve been busy. I think my house looks pretty good I plan on taking the rest of vacation, after Thanksgiving, doing work for class.

I haven’t written anything since Monday night. It makes me sad. I hit a wall, which makes me feel real sad. But I’ll get through it. Sometime soon I’ll be able to make up all those words! I know I will!

Annie is home from school today, she had a bad cough yesterday and this morning but it has settled down by this afternoon and she moved from sick and happy to play quietly to bored and aggravating.

So I gave her two options
1. do your speech therapy homework
2. clean out your bedroom.

Guess which she chose?

Yes that is all of Annie’s belongings from her bedroom tipped out on my loungeroom floor.

Now Annie had helped me do the same thing to Heidi’s room earlier in the week so she had a fair idea what was about to happen. Toys were going to be sorted and culled, so were books and clothing.

Things were complicated by Annie’s tendency to hoard everything and anything, from empty wrappers saved for the precious barcode to old boxes holding a single piece of paper which embodies some precious memory, everything is kept. I tried to involve Annie in the sorting and culling process but she keeps wandering off, I’ve gotten to the stage now where I am just ruthlessly going through and doing it by myself. If nothing else Annie will learn that when Mummy says it is time to clean your room you damn well better be involved if you care about the end result.

And as friends who I have helped move house will attest, I am ruthless when it comes to cleaning, sorting and culling. Annie should know this by know as each year we do a big clean out and cull of our toys just before the madness of Christmas sees and influx of new toys.

Things I have noticed from cleaning Annie’s room, so far I have filled double the amount of rubbish bags that I did with Heidi’s room and I’m still only half way through. However I’m giving away far less of Annie’s clothing, toys and books because they can all be handed on to Heidi.

It was back in May that we turned our study into a bedroom for Annie and my husband, who it must be noted is a hoarder also, said he would finish cleaning out the wardrobe another day. That day never happened, so now I am cleaning all his things out and he will learn the same lesson as Annie is learning, if you leave it to me, I am ruthless.

I’ve also found dead (thankfully) cockroaches in Annie’s room. Something I did not find at all in Heidi’s room. I think this may relate to Annie’s hoarding of food wrappers.

And in good news we found her iPod which has been missing these many months. It was stuck between her wardrobe doors and could only be seen if you stood inside the empty wardrobe and closed the doors. So that will hopefully be a silver lining to the shock of mummy’s ruthless culling of stuff from the bedroom.

Now does anyone have some spare underbed storage boxes I could steal? Or does anyone want some pre-loved cloth pullups?

Wake up, coffee, internet round-up and check. Go to to start iTouch for cleaning rampage music, is dead. Say bad words, charge.Prepare to clean in monk-like silence.

Awful gingham curtains removed from dining room.

Go out, apologize to neighbor’s for ex-wife’s dog incessantly barking. Explain dog needs to be out while I clean. Neighbor is very nice, offers to bring EWD over to play with son’s GIANT Lab puppy. EWD goes over fence, promptly starts trying to hump giant Lab puppy’s face. I go inside.

Dining room dusted, lemon oiled, window seat hastily cleaned and decorated with items pilfered from screened in porch room, de-cat boxed, de- cat fooded, de- pethair and de-cat condoed

Dining room swiffered, swept (yes, I have to do it twice, fucking 5 pets, OMGWHY?) mopped.

Dining room chairs brought in, not polished yet.

OMG, I forgot I have to cook a turkey breast too! Check turkey breast — does not need to be defrosted. Cancel plans for evening, as this means I have to cook the ham tonight.

Put ham out.

Go get cigarettes. It’s cold. I’m wearing a short cotton skort.

Get nicotine. Pay in $10.77 worth of change.

Get home, smoke cigarette. Get up, spray overn cleaner in oven, as it was producing large amounts of smoke when I baked a pizza last night (from last time I broiled chicken breasts with shittons of butter.)

Dust and polish almost all furniture in foyer, living room and office, except stuff that will just have to be done again after the de-hairing of the furniture tonight.

Swiffer and sweep living room and office. Mop living room while hollering as cats traipse across wet floor — “Wait till I’m done cleaning it before you get it dirty!”

Take internet and cigarette break.

Did you know that you can lose significant amounts of power and fuel economy your truck once had just because you may have neglected your intake filter? A simple cleaning and re-oiling of your intake filter can make a world of difference. Let OCDiesel.com explain why this happens…

Your engine needs airflow. It’s one of the most important things that an engine needs. This is especially true in a Diesel engine. It needs oxygen rich, cool, clean air to run at peak performance. If you have an intake filter you have not looked at in 3 years then chances are you have been robbing your engine of this. Because better combustion from better airflow directly reflects how much power and fuel economy your engine will be getting. It should be important to make sure you have a clean filter.

OCDiesel.com carries aFe’s whole line of filter restoration products. This is one of the simplest and most inexpensive ways to bring more airflow to your engine.

Not all oil is created equal. Highly refined oil from aFe will not harm MAF sensors and cause engine light warnings. It works great with aFe filters and is a great way to upgrade competitors oiled filters. The cleaner is specially formulated to release dirt without harming the microfibers critical to efficient filtration and airflow

Every household has many, many manuals for everything we own (washer/dryer, Xbox 360, TV’s, electron

Every household has many, many manuals for everything we own (washer/dryer, Xbox 360, TV’s, electronic devices). Put every manual in alphabetical order filed by what you call it. If you call your TV a television or a SONY television, file it by what the first thing that comes to mind when you think of that item. The reason behind this theory is: when the dishwasher is flooding the kitchen floor, you don’t want to have to search for the name of the (Kenmore) dishwasher, you need that manual fast! I keep the receipt attached to the manual, for big ticket items. You will have it available to prove your purchase date.

I have a wonderful story to tell you about manuals and receipts. I had bought a recliner with a 10 year spot warranty included with it. The recliner was 9 1/2 years old when it got a spot that I could not remove. I knew that the warrantee and the receipt for this recliner were in my manual folder, filed under the name recliner. I went to my file, retrieved the paperwork, and called the company. Since I had the receipt, the proof of purchase and the warrantee, I was given a brand-new recliner to replace my 9 1/2-year-old recliner. It was as easy as that.

The one thing you do need to remember about your manual folders is that they need to be gone through and old manuals for items you no longer own, should be purged. I normally go through mine once a year, just to keep it current.
