When you assume, you make an ass out of you and me. (Literally: ass-u-me.) I have always greatly appreciated this little saying. It’s perfectly witty and clever, and as an extra bonus, it’s perfectly true.

These days, I’m sick of people assuming when it concerns me. Not only are they making an ass out of themselves, but they’re dragging me along with them into the ass-y pool.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have received so many comments from people I love about how I “must hate the world.” I like to share my opinions, and though they aren’t always positive, I like to throw them out there. The problem is, nobody ever bites my bait. Everyone just seems to think that I abhor the world. Everything I say and everything I do supports this theory, apparently.  I will admit that I’m a little cynical and extremely critical, but that doesn’t mean I hate everything. People should just stop assuming that hating is all I do. I’m very opinionated and I can’t help but express those opinions, no matter how negative they may be.

I love life, I just don’t always like the people involved in mine. So, sometimes people should just stop assuming, because when they do about me, they are almost always wrong. They just make asses out of themselves and me when I sputter and try to defend my poor, “negative” little self. The people that assume are the people that only see me as the Emily I portray in school. Of course she’s going to be miserable; it’s school.

I guess this just goes to show who knows me and who really and truly does not.

Ok look. We obviously have to come to an agreement. Swearing at each other won’t get us anywhere. Neither will arguing about who won. So I suggest that we give you Walrus and we keep Icicle. But at least we got back into the CP Warfare spirit. Nice battles, it was fun – even the arguing. So yeah, I agree with Ads. Let’s see what Sergie says now…

I agree, this was good battle. But I think since you didn’t give us Yeti with Walrus, but only Walrus, then we will have 1 more thing before we agree. You either declare RPF as the best medium army, and become close allies or fight again and see who earns it, and probably have more arguments again. -.-

If you choose the first option, the RPF will announce you as the 2nd best medium army due to sportsmanship and active, reasonable leaders. We will also present an “close-brother allie treaty” which will make RPF and MFW a brother army, also making RPF help MFW at any battle they wish us to attend. If RPF is in trouble, MFW also could help if they have time. Sounds like a good deal unless you want the same thing over again with Option 2.

my first suck uk crush came via the wood clock.  i couldn’t rationalize the price tag so i bought some $25 *less-than* version, which flashes time + date with no option to sit still.  the cheap knock off left me pretty unsatisfied.

Finally got to watch Zombieland and I must say it was splendid! Simply lovely! I was throughly entertained and laughed my ass off. This movie has restored my faith in Woody H. and anytime your debraining zombies I am amused. I have no clue why you would choose to go to an amusement park to avoid zombies, like at the end of the movie, but it was very enjoyable to see the zombie clown get killed, to quote Murderface “his face was smashed!!” This is a must see for any Zombie/horror fan

Today I completed My degree in Computer Networking and Securities!!!!

AMAZING

So very loyal.   I see the herder in this one for sure. I have two other dogs that have been a part of my family for  several years. The other two dogs are a lab mix we rescued and the American Pitt Bull terrier. The Sheltie keeps watch over the lab and the terrier.  I gave the sheltie a job of checking the birds.  They get chased and barked at  as they fly away.  Not to worry they never get even close to each other.  Always wanting to please.  We talk to each other, only Sheltie’s lingo is ER, Huh, AH. This is the sweetest little baby. When it’s time to retire for the evening she goes over and barks at the lab it’s a ritual. The terrier has already retired  on her own ahead of everyone else.  Always up and ready to be my loyal companion. This baby is three and I have never heard a growl out of her mouth. It has to be just her demeanor not a mean bone in her body. LOL,  It would be neat if we could discern people that way.  She gets along great with the other breeds. From time to time I see her sleeping side by side with either of the other two.  

Since Fiasco ruined our first invasion, we will make them suffer.. Now we will fight and not leave the battle. Pack your bags boys.

Fiasco121’s Forever Banned Status: Now Active

I do not know why in the world did Fiasco change our chat’s pass, and ran away to MFW. That is treason, probably one of the worst things you could do in the army.. their was a fair amount of people on RPF chat. There was friend’s of Fiasco, and people who didn’t know him. I told RPF the reason of why he should be banned forever from RPF. 1) He changed xat password. 2) He ran off to MFW. 3) He showed one of the worst leadership moves ever, retreating. 100% of the RPF chat voted on “Yes”. Fiasco, you are now officially fired from RPF permenatly. Have a nice life.

During a conversation with a Trainer/Coach associate, our conversation stumbled onto the topic of confidence and the reason for repetitive role playing or practicing, as it was called way back when. We were discussing what confidence does. What was the main purpose of practice besides the obvious need to do something well. I presented the idea that confidence was a tool to shift the thinking process from attempting to focus on the process and switch your focus on the external conditions. I used the phrase…

Being in the now, not in the how.

We quickly acknowledged the statement to be true. Practice builds confidence in the action or performance. This confidence factor allows the performer to focus on the events surrounding them rather then focusing on the process or method in the delivery.

Here is the analogy I used.. imagine an actor who is given a script, but before he or she is allowed to read the dialog, they are asked when reading to add emotion that would make it believable. This will not happen by any measure. The actor has no idea how the writer has intended the words to be spoken, the cadence of the delivery of the moment in which the story will peak. None of this will happen unless the actor has time to review the script, read and practice the part numerous times until he or she feels confident enough to add the emotion at the proper cadence to make it believable.

Being confident in anything we do requires the same approach no matter what it is. To build confidence we need to practice over and over until the confidence is strong enough to shift the performer from being in the moment of how, to the moment of now.

I dont know how much of this is real or not but i think they are pretty bad ass regardless!
