My new found love of crochet owls.. apologies for the absense, still working on best way and find a little quiet time to do my tutorial. Not easy with kiddies at home as i dont have much freetime during the day,  but determined to find time this week.

Hi all, i have been absent lately mainly because i had a killer migrane at the beginning of the week and crochet was the most brain melting thing i could do, but i have also been working on a tutorial for you all.
As this is my first ever tutorial i wanted it to be right. Above is a picture of something i will be making in the video. Its going to be a freeform necklace and will look unique for everyone who wears it.
I also want to say a big, big thank u to all the followers new and old who have sent lovely messages on the work i post. You dont know how much it means to me to have u follow my little blog.xx

I ve had  a small break this weekend but came up with this little creation. It is a freeform tube with large orange beads set into it. It looks very strange but i love it and will be doing a tutorial on it later this week.

I was having a mess about last night with my hats and came up with this little fella.

           He needs some adjusting as the stitches are too far apart and i have a bit of bunching. But overall My lillt man was very pleased.

The likes of Alisa Burke, Kim’s Knots, Deadlyknitshade and Crochetmomma3 light all their pictures beautifully. So i have been looking for natural light. I have taken a few pictures at home today where natural light is most prevalent,and it makes a big difference.

As you can see the one on the left is dark and the one in

natural light brings out the colours of the hat more.

Next week with the help of my other half, we are making

a light box, which will hopefully be even better than this.

I will also be getting a better backdrop as my old crumpled curtain was the first thing on hand!.

I get so excited when an idea pops into my head that i have to do it there and then, so please forgive me!

I am hoping that in the future i can get donations made to my Cancer reserch charity page. In turn i will donate ten hats a month to the Lilac centre which deals with chemotherapy.

It’s such a worthwhile cause and one that needs a cure as it takes people too soon and too young.

The hats where positioned by my two daughters who used a table runner for a background as they said it was ‘shiney’. I love how they enjoy getting involved.

She was an absolute bargain of £3.00 and i am sure you’ll agree she looks lovely !

I have recently been preoccupied as of late and as a result have neglected my blogging and Crochet.  Above is a picture of my first item i am planning to sell in my online shop. It’s a freeform crochet baby girl hat , and i have decided to call her Strawberries and cream.

I am planning for my niece Mia to model it for me as she has the cutest little face around and i am sure she will help me to sell some LOL !!!

I have only been doing crochet for about six months with a three-month gap in-between but i LOVE it. I would however appreciate your feedback fellow bloggers and crochet queens , as to how well you think it’s turned out. I have a very thick skin so don’t be worried about upsetting me if you think it’s whack !! I would hate to send one to a customer and they are not 100 % happy with it.

Summer loves flowers and pink, she is a real girly girl . I came up with this simple beanie for her with bright flowers sewn on to it.

springtime yarnbomb

Getting ready to do my 2nd yarnbomb. This time its a spring one. Snails and flowers to dangle and delight. Excuse the half finnished snail !!! Need to make lots . Thinking of a tree somewhere ??

The first one I made I dubbed my hippy hat as it was slouchie and cool . It took me about an hour to make up. But this one took only half hour , so anyone who is a whizz with the old 10mm crochet hook should be able to do one in half the time.

It does take two balls of yarn to make one and is priced at £3.89 per ball, but it’s just cool to work with.

I simply made a magic ring and double crochet all round (only been at this for 6 months so forgive me the lack of detail)

I added two flowers one on top of each other because all little girls love flowers.

2. Cut card into a spiral (come on weve all made curly snakes at some point. Don’t lie !)

3.Curl them a bit so they look like flowers.

4. Add some leaves. I love drawing on old pages of books .Think mills and boon Or Jackie Collins if your feeling fruity !     5. Decorate a nice shaped bottle and VOILA !! pretty valentines roses for your loved one.
