It was a great three days at TechCrunch50. We met some great people doing very innovative work, and got a lot of positive feedback on Givvy. Congratulations to Heather, Mike, Jason Calacanis, and the entire the TechCrunch team for a wonderful event.

On Tuesday we were in the DempPit and got visited by Rafe Needleman from WebWare/CNET TV. Here’s the video.

Cnet.com ; owned by cnet networks is one of the most rightful technology websites i have ever encountered. They run many websites that is both helpful and interesting at the same time.

here are some of their websites that i usually visit ;

cnettv.com
downloads.com
news.com (also com.com)
Gamespot.com
tv.com (tv listings)
plus many other sites in different countries such as cnet australia and cnet japan

The latest stats shows that there are about 54 million visitors per month for the company’s websites.

their slogan ; “For A World Gone Digital”…. yep , that’s true.

In the mean while CBS’s Board of directory has just approved a 1.8$ Billion Dollars to aquire the Cnet networks company.

no word from the Cnet networks side but if everything goes smooth, this transition will be done by the Q3 (third financial quarter ) of the year 2008

Wonder what CBS will do this time to ruin such a wonderful company ???

i think i have a pretty solid guess.

The technology-fest that is CES 2008 is here once again and as usual it’s bigger than ever.

I personally use just two sources to keep up to date

Engadget (No brainer here, make sure to check the CES optimised view. They also have Veronica Belmont from Mahalo Daily shooting video’s for them)

CNET TV (Great place with great people, perfect for first looks and hands-on info. Plus they just hired Natali del Conte, formerly of TeXtra and they also have a dedicated CES 2008 page)

2 great sites, 2 beautiful women, lots of tech. What more do you want ?

Also, be sure to check out the Bill Gates keynote (Silverlight required). It’s very, very likely his last keynote as he is retiring this year. An end of an era?
