Outstanding Athelete and Haskell Student AJ Longsolider dies.

Allen John (AJ) Longsolider an outstanding athlete from Harlem, Montana had returned home from Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Ks to attend his grandfather’s funeral.

He was booked on an outstanding warrant for contempt of court and later died in the all adult jail in Harve, Montana.

He died hours later while in custody, his family unaware that he was even in jail.

So what happened?

Why was an 18 year old kid (yes, legally classified as an adult) thrown in with an all adult male population? Hours later he is dead.

Did the jailers even bother in check in on him?

A.J. was not only a great basketball player he was a son, grandson, nephew, Haskell student and friend, our prayers go out to all the many lives he touched.

You might not know it, but I’m a regular on Sean Hannity’s radio show. Don’t believe me? I don’t really care. The point is, this is personal in a way. Hannity is honest, devoted, and loves his country. He doesn’t lie; and if he ever makes a mistake (HA) what does he do? He corrects it. He a man of good character. So, why does the BHussein Admin want to silence him? Because he’s great at exposing them for what they are. Scum.

Cass Sunstein: Censor Hannity, right-wing rumors
Cites websites for ‘absurd’ reports of Obama’s ties to Ayers
Article: World Net Daily

Websites should be obliged to remove “false rumors” while libel laws should be altered to make it easier to sue for spreading such “rumors,” argued Cass Sunstein, Obama’s regulatory czar.

In his recently released book, “On Rumors,” Sunstein specifically cited as a primary example of “absurd” and “hateful” remarks, reports by “right-wing websites” alleging an association between President Obama and Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers.

First of all, Cass… Can I ask what a “false rumor” is? No, really. Is that like… True Truths? Also; check this: First Amendment of the United Stated Constitution. Don’t feel like it? Here, let me educate you: FREEDOM OF SPEECH. OOOOOHHHH SNAP. Whatcha gonna do sissy boy? Also; It’s NOOOOOOO secret that BHussein is butt buddies with Bill Ayers. Why try to cover it now? It’s been common knowledge for almost three years on a national scale now, so what’s your fucking problem? Also, how is it hateful to state something that is completely true? Sorry, carry on:

He also singled out radio talker Sean Hannity for “attacking” Obama regarding the president’s “alleged associations.”

Ayers became a name in last year’s presidential campaign when it was disclosed the radical worked closely with Obama for years. Obama also was said to have launched his political career at a 1995 fundraiser in Ayers’ apartment.

As WND reported, Obama and Ayers sat together on the board of a Chicago nonprofit, the Woods Fund. Ayers also was a founder of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, where Obama was appointed as its first chairman in 1995.

Ayers reportedly was involved in hiring Obama for the CAC – a job the future president later touted as qualifying him to run for public office.

WND columnist Jack Cashill has produced a series of persuasive arguments that it was Ayers who ghostwrote Obama’s award-winning autobiography “Dreams from My Father.”

However, such reports were characterized by Sunstein as “absurd” charges for which corrective measures can be taken.

Sunstein’s book – reviewed by WND – was released in September, after he was already installed as the administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.

“In the era of the Internet, it has become easy to spread false or misleading rumors about almost anyone,” Sunstein writes.

“Some right-wing websites liked to make absurd and hateful remarks about the alleged relationship between Barack Obama and the former radical Bill Ayers; one of the websites’ goals was undoubtedly to attract more viewers,” he writes.

Oh? So you don’t like it when “right-wing” websites make hateful remarks about BHussein and his relationship with Bill Ayers? Well how’s THIS one, CASSIEPOO? Barack Hussein Obama admires Bill Ayers because HE is a homegrown unrepentant terrorist who carried out acts of terrorism AGAINST the government. BHussein Obama LOVES and admires terrorists; although Ayers isn’t BHussein’s favourite “flavour” of terrorist. It’s no secret that BHussein favours the radical Islamist and Muslim terrorists; but he’ll take what he can get. Don’t like it? Suck a fat one, queerboy. I hear BHussein likes to get blowjobs if you give him a line of coke. THAT’S RIGHT, I SAID IT.

Sunstein continues: “On the Internet as well as on talk radio, altruistic propagators are easy to find; they play an especially large role in the political domain. When Sean Hannity, the television talk show host, attacked Barack Obama because of his alleged associations, one of his goals might have been to promote values and causes that he cherishes.”

Sunstein presents multiple new measures he argues can be used to stop the spread of “rumors.”

He contends “freedom usually works, but in some contexts, it is an incomplete corrective.”

Wrong you fuckface sack of shitballs. FREEDOM ALWAYS WORKS.

Sunstein proposes the imposition of a “chilling effect” on “damaging rumors” – or the use of strong “corrective” measures to deter future rumormongers.

For websites, Sunstein suggests a “right to notice and take down” in which “those who run websites would be obliged to take down falsehoods upon notice.”

WROOOOOOOOOOOONG. You want to have ME delete ANYTHING from my site; you’ll have to do it over my dead body. And based on the rising Obama Body count; I don’t think he’d have a problem with it. Besides, how “damaging” were these <s>rumors</s> statements? BHussein got his foot in the door. He’s living in the White House. No, he’s not acting like a PRESIDENT, but he’s living in the White House. So, damaging? PLZ ‘SPLAIN.

Sunstein also argues for the “right to demand a retraction after a clear demonstration that a statement is both false and damaging.” But he does not explain which agency would determine whether any statement is false and damaging.

Sunstein further pushes for “deterrence” through making libel lawsuits easier to bring.

Bring your goddamned lawsuits. You don’t own me. You can’t control me. I’m not scared of ANY of you. Not even close. Most of us patriots will continue to spread the truth; because the mainstream media has failed us. They turned their backs on their duties and they decided to follow along mindlessly slobbing any Obama knob they can. That’s right.

Sunstein drafted ‘New Deal Fairness Doctrine’

Sunstein’s proposals outlined in his book “On Rumors” were not the first of his writings to recommend regulating talk radio or the news media.

WND previously reported Sunstein drew up a “First Amendment New Deal” – a new “Fairness Doctrine” that would include the establishment of a panel of “nonpartisan experts” to ensure “diversity of view” on the airwaves.

Then it has to be enforced across the board. I want MSNBC and CNN… Larry King, Chris Matthews, KEITH OLBERMANN, Katie Couric to get off their high horses and treat OUR side with some goddamned respect. Did Sarah Palin get the same respect? No. Were her children needlessly attacked? Absolutely. Was President Bush given any respect from these doucheass low-rating shitstains? Nope. Why? To brighten the tarnished image that IS Barack Hussein Obama. Also, you have no right to change ANYTHING about the United Stated Constitution in order to make Barack Hussein look like a savory character. That’s not how it works. It’s up to HIM and HIM ALONE to make his image. Not you. Not me. Not the media.

Sunstein compared the need for the government to regulate broadcasting to the moral obligation of the U.S. to impose new rules that outlawed segregation.

Sunstein’s radical proposal, set forth in his 1993 book “The Partial Constitution,” received no news media attention and scant scrutiny until the WND report.

In the book, Sunstein outwardly favors and promotes the “Fairness Doctrine,” the abolished FCC policy that required holders of broadcast licenses to present controversial issues of public importance in a manner the government deemed “equitable and balanced.”

Sunstein introduces what he terms his “First Amendment New Deal” to regulate broadcasting in the U.S.

His proposal, which focuses largely on television, includes a government requirement that “purely commercial stations provide financial subsidies to public television or to commercial stations that agree to provide less profitable but high-quality programming.”

Sunstein wrote it is “worthwhile to consider more dramatic approaches as well.”

He proposes “compulsory public-affairs programming, right of reply, content review by nonpartisan experts or guidelines to encourage attention to public issues and diversity of view.”

The Obama czar argues his regulation proposals for broadcasting are actually presented within the spirit of the Constitution.

“It seems quite possible that a law that contained regulatory remedies would promote rather than undermine the ‘freedom of speech,’” he writes.

Sunstein compares the need for the government to regulate broadcasting to the moral obligation of the government stepping in to end segregation.

Writes Sunstein: “The idea that government should be neutral among all forms of speech seems right in the abstract, but as frequently applied it is no more plausible than the idea that it should be neutral between the associational interests of blacks and those of whites under conditions of segregation.“

Sunstein contends the landmark case that brought about the Fairness Doctrine, Red Lion Broadcasting Co. v. Federal Communications Commission, “stresses not the autonomy of broadcasters (made possible only by current ownership rights), but instead the need to promote democratic self-government by ensuring that people are presented with a broad range of views about public issues.“

He continues: “In a market system, this goal may be compromised. It is hardly clear that ‘the freedom of speech’ is promoted by a regime in which people are permitted to speak only if other people are willing to pay enough to allow them to be heard.“

In his book, Sunstein slams the U.S. courts’ unwillingness to “require something like a Fairness Doctrine” to be a result of “the judiciary’s lack of democratic pedigree, lack of fact-finding powers and limited remedial authority.”

He clarifies he is not arguing the government should be free to regulate broadcasting however it chooses.

“Regulation designed to eliminate a particular viewpoint would of course be out of bounds. All viewpoint discrimination would be banned,” Sunstein writes.

But, he says, “at the very least, regulative ‘fairness doctrines’ would raise no real doubts” constitutionally.

Fuck you, Cass Sunstein. You’re a fucking faggot. That’s fucking right. Am I offending you? DRY YOUR GODDAMNED VAGINA AND GET THE FUCK OVER IT.

On November 24, 1859, exactly 150 years ago, the world was treated with the popularization of the theory of evolution through the first edition of Charles Darwin’s “The Origin of the Species.”

Well, on this the 150th year anniversary call him the comeback kid: we have the likes of Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitckens, militant neo-atheists—who would like nothing more than to rid humanity of any semblance of belief in God.

In fact, in an interview with CNN, Dawkins, professor at Oxford, says, “”I believe a true understanding of Darwinism is deeply corrosive to religious faith” (read entire interview…)

CNN: What’s your sense of Darwin’s influence around the world?

Dawkins: Evolution is almost universally accepted among those who understand it, almost universally rejected by those who don’t.

For a Richard Dawkins, belief in God is one of the world’s great evils, if not the greatest:

I think a case can be made that faith is one of the world’s great evils, comparable to the small-pox virus but harder to eradicate. (quoted in Dembski’s The End of Christianity, p. 4)

The likes of Dawkins must be engaged and refuted intelligently. Not dismissed a priori.

A few Christian thinkers are doing just that (see Alister McGrath The Dawkins Delusion?)

I’m guessing no.

We love Pete Cashmore’s insight into the future landscape of social media.

Next year’s Twitter? It’s Foursquare

By Pete Cashmore, Special to CNN, November 19, 2009 1:18 p.m. EST

Editor’s note: Pete Cashmore is founder and CEO of Mashable, a popular blog about social media. He is writing a weekly column about social networking and tech for CNN.com.

London, England (CNN) – As 2009 draws to a close, with Twitter undoubtedly this year’s media darling and Facebook continuing on its path to global domination, you may wonder which social-media service will become tech’s poster boy in 2010.

Among the Web’s early adopter set, the answer is nearly unanimous: Foursquare.

While the technology landscape is ever-changing, I’d argue that Foursquare already has aligned itself to become next year’s mainstream hit.

The Twitter connection

Birthed by the team that brought us the mobile social network Dodgeball (acquired by Google in 2005 and later shuttered), the location-based mobile startup serves a simple purpose: It lets an individual share his or her location with a group of friends.

Foursquare ventures beyond utility, however: It’s a virtual game in which participants earn badges for checking in at various locations; those that check in most become a venue’s “mayor.” By all accounts, this mechanism is as addictive as Twitter, Facebook or checking your e-mail on a BlackBerry.

Originally launched as an iPhone application and seeded by the young early-adopter set in cities such as New York and San Francisco, the site’s founders were able to leap from a ready-made springboard: Twitter.

With users’ “check-ins” being posted to the messaging service, Foursquare was able to gain a foothold in much the same way YouTube built its lead from videos embedded in MySpace pages.

The parallels with Twitter are numerous. As technology early adopter and popular blogger Robert Scoble wrote in September: “Go back three years ago. Twitter was being used by the same crowd that is playing with Foursquare today.”

The similarities don’t stop there: Twitter first took hold at Austin’s South By Southwest festival in 2007; Foursquare made its debut at SXSW 2009. Members of both founding teams have previously built successful social startups; both those startups were sold to Google.

The two companies share investors, too: Union Square Ventures is a backer, while Twitter inventor Jack Dorsey made an angel investment in Foursquare. Other notable investors include the founders of Digg and Delicious, and famed angel investor Ron Conway. Union Square Ventures’ Fred Wilson observed that Foursquare’s first round financing was “among the most competitive early round financings I’ve seen in a long time.”

Foursquare’s power play: Platform for developers, retailers

This week Foursquare debuted the singular piece that launched Twitter into the stratosphere: an API. This application programming interface allows third-party developers to build anything they desire on top of Foursquare’s location-based social network.

It’s been shown time and again that once these ecosystems gain momentum, potential competitors face an arduous task. From Flickr to Google Maps to Twitter and beyond, it’s clear that early critical mass — having enough users and applications to make a service invaluable — sets the stage for a landslide victory.

Google’s Android, entering the mobile platform wars long after the iPhone App Store had served up a veritable smorgasbord of apps to its army of users, is evidence of the chicken-and-egg problem that arises for new competitors: What’s the incentive for users and developers to switch to a smaller, less visible platform once a leader has emerged?

With the launch of its API, Foursquare looks set to capitalize on this “rich get richer” phenomenon before others can make a play. Foursquare is doing more than wooing users and developers, however: It’s also courting local bars and restaurants.

“Foursquare for Businesses” is a platform for retailers wishing to offer special deals to Foursquare users: Check in to frozen desert maker Tasti D-Lite at two venues in New York, for instance, and you’re eligible for a discount.

Competitors abound

Nonetheless, multiple players are vying for victory in the location-based services market. Between Gowalla, Loopt, Brightkite and Google’s Latitude, Foursquare will by no means have an easy ride. While Gowalla debuted an early version at SXSW 2009 alongside Foursquare, both Loopt and Brightkite have a head start.

All of these services, I’d argue, lack the highly addictive game play that appears to have Foursquare users hooked.

Google is undoubtedly the 800-pound gorilla, but the fastidiously numbers-driven search engine has proven time and again that it cannot grasp social-networking dynamics — from Orkut to Friend Connect (its Facebook Connect competitor) to its failure to turn Google Video into a YouTube competitor.

One company may unwittingly squash Foursquare in its infancy: Twitter itself. The very service that propelled Foursquare to prominence is rapidly building out its location-based features, with a location API that directly challenges Foursquare. Twitter already has the critical mass of users and ecosystem of eager developers. If it executes correctly, the service could leave Foursquare in the dust.

In Foursquare’s favor: Young, fast-growing startups such as Twitter often find their engineering teams overstretched simply trying to achieve scale. Twitter has added less than a dozen new features since launch as preventing frequent downtime has become its greatest challenge.

Meanwhile, the overlap in investors means the Twitter-Foursquare relationship is unlikely to turn sour. Foursquare may network its way to the top in 2010 or find itself lost in an increasingly competitive landscape. Early adopters are betting on the former.

According to CNN’s American Morning and the NYT, the cheap, cute Zhu Zhu hamster made in China

According to CNN’s American Morning and the NYT, the cheap, cute Zhu Zhu hamster made in China is the “hottest toy” this holiday season. In fact, American parents are scrambling nationwide to get the popular toy for their little ones in time for Christmas. According to the American toymaker’s founder Russell Hornsby, “zhu zhu” denotes “little pig”: However, babynamescountry.com says that the name “Zhu” means “master or owner.”

Perhaps, Zhu Zhu means both “little pig” and “master master.” If so, it would be a propos. I.e., if American consumers continue to be “little pigs” in their purchases of such Chinese imports (vis-a-vis Chinese consumption of U.S. exports) and America continues to borrow money from China at an ungodly rate, China may well become the “master master.” As Solomon sagely said, “[T]he borrower is servant to the lender.” [Proverbs 22:7] This truth is beginning to sink in for the American people as they see values that their leaders had once clarionly championed, e.g., freedom of religion, human rights, etc., get shorter and shorter shrift in American/Chinese dialogue in tandem with the increase in American indebtedness.

However, even if “Zhu Zhu” merely means “little pigs” as a euphemistic moniker for hamsters as it most probably does, it would do well to remember its other possible meanings. Whether it be a Chinese dig or an ironic name, either (or, in fact, both) can be instructive for Americans and their children as they celebrate this special season and plan for another economically challenging year.

Luke 21:5-11

While some people were speaking about how the temple was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings, Jesus said, “All that you see here– the days will come when there will not be left a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down.”

Then they asked him, “Teacher, when will this happen? And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?” He answered, “See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and ‘The time has come.’
Do not follow them! When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end.”

Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place; and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky.”

The Daily Path: Reading the newspaper or watching CNN leads one to feel we are drawing ever closer to the end… at an excelerated pace! Of course we are indeed drawing closer to Christ’s return, but why wait for that day? Start the beginning in your heart today.

It appears that the former CNN anchor may be looking at a new career in politics.

From CNN:

A radio interviewer on WTOP joked Monday about the “crazy” idea that the former CNN host could mount a White House bid in 2012 – but Dobbs wasn’t laughing. “What’s so crazy about that?” he responded in the interview broadcast on the Washington, D.C. station.

Dobbs, who amicably parted ways with the network earlier this month, also told former Sen. Fred Thompson that he was definitely weighing a run.

“I’m going to be talking some more with some folks who want me to listen to them in the next few weeks,” Dobbs said on the 2008 Republican presidential candidate’s radio show. “I just don’t even know even what to tell you in terms of where I’m leaning, because right now I’m fortunate to have just a number of wonderful options.”

As I researching for my English paper on the Progressive Movement, I came across Franklin Roosevelt

As I researching for my English paper on the Progressive Movement, I came across Franklin Roosevelt’s 1944 State of the Union address. I was deeply appalled that any president, especially one that is often portrayed as one of the greatest ever, would propose something that’s so against the America’s foundation. Below I will copy the address and highlight his new “rights:”

“It is our duty now to begin to lay the plans and determine the strategy for the winning of a lasting peace and the establishment of an American standard of living higher than ever before known. We cannot be content, no matter how high that general standard of living may be, if some fraction of our people—whether it be one-third or one-fifth or one-tenth—is ill-fed, ill-clothed, ill-housed, and insecure.

This Republic had its beginning, and grew to its present strength, under the protection of certain inalienable political rights—among them the right of free speech, free press, free worship, trial by jury, freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures. They were our rights to life and liberty.

As our nation has grown in size and stature, however—as our industrial economy expanded—these political rights proved inadequate to assure us equality in the pursuit of happiness.

We have come to a clear realization of the fact that true individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. “Necessitous men are not free men.” People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made.

In our day these economic truths have become accepted as self-evident. We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all—regardless of station, race, or creed.

Among these are:

The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;

The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;

The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;

The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;

The right of every family to a decent home;

The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;

The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;

The right to a good education.

All of these rights spell security. And after this war is won we must be prepared to move forward, in the implementation of these rights, to new goals of human happiness and well-being.

America’s own rightful place in the world depends in large part upon how fully these and similar rights have been carried into practice for our citizens.”

These are so blatantly radical, unconstitutional, and socialist. It gets a whole lot worse. According to an article on www.forbes.com, Cass Sunstein (Head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs) is a strong supporter of these rights. Sunstein wrote a book, published in 2004 titled, The Second Bill of Rights: FDR’s Unfinished Revolution and Why We Need It More than Ever. If you believe in the constitution, the founding of this nation, and capitalism than you should be nervous that he has such a high position. These “rights” would astronomically grow the size of government and result in excessive taxation to fund all the programs.

It seems clear that’s exactly what progressives want, the growth of government, the death of capitalism and the rise of socialism. “Obama calls himself a progressive, as does Hillary Clinton” (http://www.newsweek.com/id/189122). Al Gore also considers himself a progressive, you know the guy who’s not a scientist and cares so deeply about the environment/global cooling, err I mean warming, and thinks he knows global warming inside and out. Now, either these liberals, progressives, which ever you prefer to call them are either unaware at the extremely radicalism of their titles or they intend completely to uproot America and “Fundamentally transform” America.

SIDE NOTE: A couple scientists got their emails hacked and proves that global warming figures have been distorted. Shocking huh? http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/21/science/earth/21climate.html

South Korean pop star Rain, who stars in “Ninja Assassin,” releasing nationwide on Wedne

South Korean pop star Rain, who stars in “Ninja Assassin,” releasing nationwide on Wednesday, has all the trimmings of an international superstar in the making.

His talent, good looks and charming swagger have captured the devotion of the Asian continent, where tickets to his concerts evaporate in minutes. He was hailed as one of People magazine’s most beautiful two years ago, and, despite being relatively unknown to most Americans, beat Stephen Colbert in a Time magazine online poll of most influential people in 2007.

Yet Rain’s climb from unknown backup dancer to a member of Asia’s A-list wasn’t easy: His lack of Western features caused many music labels to look right past him and getting his footing in the United States has been particularly difficult.

Despite having six albums under his belt and selling out a two-day Madison Square Garden tour in 2006, Rain’s “Justin Timberlake meets Usher” brand of bubble-gum pop never saturated pop charts here as it did in the East.

But Rain isn’t one to accept defeat. “The more criticism I get, the more it gives me a stronger urge to win. So I try harder,” he told CNN’s Talk Asia.

// <![CDATA[// “The more times I was turned down, the more I believed I was getting closer to making it. A lot of people in Korea say that failure is the mother of success, so I believed that more times I failed, the more likely I was to succeed,” he said.

The 27-year-old tested Hollywood waters with last year’s “Speed Racer,” but the action film, which he now calls a “warming up period,” failed to give him cross-over recognition.

Now, Rain has a second shot at swimming in the American mainstream with another Wachowski produced film, the cut ‘em and gut ‘em “Ninja Assassin,” where the pop star does most of his own stunts.

“I put my heart and soul into this movie,” he said. Rain trained hard for months to get ready for the movie’s slick violence.

“For about a year, I couldn’t eat properly, I was working out from 7 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon,” he said. “I went through a lot of pain in my efforts to get 100 percent close to the character that I was playing.”

To get the opportunity to finally become an American household name, though, it’s worth it. After all, Rain isn’t the type of guy who shies away from a challenge.

“What I want to do now is start from the bottom again and build up a name in the U.S.,” Rain said.

“I experienced firsthand what it means to be poor, what it means to go hungry, and that I think may be the reason, the root cause of why I’m able to work so hard even these days,” he said.

“I’m hoping people expect a lot from this movie, because I think they will not be disappointed.”

Facebook is one of the best known social network sites. People of all ages and walks of life have joined the party and are actively engaged in reaching old friends, playing poker, mafia wars and creating special badges to show the world how digi they are.

But more and more, we hear about facebook (and other social sites) being a catalyst for change. In late 2008, the Ontario government changed the driving laws for drivers under 21 to restrict passengers, a student started a face book page as a protest against this restrictive law. He created Young Drivers Against New Ontario Laws.

Within a few weeks, there were 100,00K plus members in the group, and although the Liberal government denies the group was the catalyst, the law was changed to remove the passenger restrictions. Today marks the one year anniversary of that change.

Twitter and facebook were ablaze with news about the Iranian elections this past summer. In fact, social nets were a key source of news and information for the “west”. CNN had a regular segment using twitter to provide the “real” news of the protests – largely because they could not penetrate the censor curtain with reporters or other traditional means. Those within the industry have no doubt of the legitimacy of social media – we always speak how the web has democratized this and that, but the real power of these channels is just beginning as people, regular people that is, are literally using them to democratize society –be it changing a small piece of legislation in Ontario or bringing behind the scenes news to the world that would have otherwise never be seen, or read. The next time you go to update your status on facebook, take an extra minute, do a search of people or groups for something you care about, something that concerns you, something you want to change – you will likely find other like minded people who are looking to make a difference too, one post at a time…

The world’s first all-news television network is now a much loved part of my past, and it seems like just yesterday that CNN was only one of Ted Turner’s mad dreams.

Yesterday I was in the airport and happened to notice that CNN was running a story on autism (usually there’s some type of sports event on and I couldn’t care less). Since I know a few kids with autism, I decided it was worth a listen. What I heard was absolutely absurd! CNN interviewed the mother of an autistic child who claimed that medical marijuana helps her son. Then, this mother went on to say that any mother would do anything to help her child.

I’m not a mother, so I can only imagine how painful it is to watch your child suffer from autism or anything else for that matter. However, I think someone needs to get through to this mother fast! As a mother, it’s her job to protect her child to the best of her ability. Unfortunately, this mother has chosen to make a decision for her son that will have negative long term effects on his life.

Let’s face it people, when you’re high you don’t feel anything – period! Marijuana, medical or otherwise, doesn’t do anything but deaden your senses - not to mention your brain cells. In the long run, medical marijuana is a band aid that has long term consequences for frequent users.

What this mother is advocating is getting her child high so that SHE doesn’t have to deal with his situation. As a result, she’s setting a precedent for what could become a dangerous practice. If medical marijuana is allowed to be used for autism, what will prevent mothers from using it for ADHD or any other number of conditions?

Can someone please call Child Protective Services!

What is it about the historical strength of fashion that makes the novice mass murdering despot adh

What is it about the historical strength of fashion that makes the novice mass murdering despot adhere so completely to the historical wardrobe preferences of past aspirants to tyranny on the world stage? Forget about quitting smoking, losing weight, and eating healthy, this is the real thing. Green military fatigues and poorly made suits have given way to green military fatigues, poorly made suits and red sweat suits. Some attempts at individuality have been driven by the gray Primark jacket found in the bazaars of Istanbul, they remain isolated in their efforts.
Let’s begin with the poor relations over there across the Volga…old Yosif Vissarionovich Dzugashvili…or Joseph Stalin or Joe Steel to you…looking
good in this black and white version of his blood spatter resistant over shirt, old Joe established a style that would prove hard to resist for future despots with an eye for tradition.

The idea of culture was certainly not lost on the murdering chairman mao…he even incorporated it into his “revolution,” while continuing the tradition of Joe’s blood spatter resistant tunic….

Suddenly, there emerged a “rebel” on the political front….Sadly, his sense of rebellion was as dated as his choice of wardrobe…

Same old military-inspired styling…same old blood spatter resistant fabric…YET NO FASHION FORWARD THOUGHT……

Before we go on, let’s remember there was a time, prior to these three, when tyranny embraced fashion…..

Here we can see the source of their jealous deconstructions…the original mass murderer looks smart in his coat and tie, accessorized with a clever hat and important papers carried in the left hand…..a fashion statement not lost on forward thinking despots of the future….

Limits on time require we skip over some minor (less than 6 million) murdering despots at this point….

Fashion suddenly takes a turn with the arrival of the north korean “chairman of the hidden gulag,” ….in more ways than one…

Here we see the traditional blood spatter resistant fatigue fabric over-shirt boldly replaced by the blood spatter resistant gray jacket….a bold combination acknowledging both traditional and future concepts in despotic fashion…..a combination which will not be lost on the upcoming despot with an eye for style….

And here we have it….the evolution of despotic fashion culminates in an ensemble which suddenly places the contemporary classic open neck shirt underneath a bright new interpretation of the old green blood spatter resistant military-like over-shirt…the “gray jacket!”

We here at despotfashion.com realize that beyond the general UN rant, the occasion for more formal dress may arise. In such cases we could do worse than recommend the “old blue suit:”

or the oversized blue suit…..

or the classic “birthday suit…..”

We wanted to include running suits in this review but suffice to say, they’re red and habitually worn by despots…..
