<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Microsoft once again is handing out Xbox live bans for cheating!!  Being that it be, i have felt the force of the Ban-hammer before. The same night that Halo ODST was to be released Microsoft went and banded me for 3 days for improper content in my profile. Now my improper content wasn&#8217;t really improper, but once the hammer has been swung there is no rebuttal. This time its a little different. With the new release of COD5 Modern Warfare 2 there is some glitches as with any new game&#8230; But this time there are banning people for exploiting Infinity Wards screw up.  Almost every online game, within it first few months have experienced glitches in there online play. There is only so much testing that can the developers can do and with release dates being pushed up to get the games to market there is limited time. So why are we the people that pay the 6o bucks being punished for discovering this glitch??? Infinity Ward will release a patch to fix the glitch. I just don&#8217;t see the issue here with banning people for a mistake that the makers have created&#8230; If this were a bunch of hackers screwing up the game for other i see the issue, but as of right now i feel as though they should hand out awards for people that discover these glitches instead of taking away something that they enjoy and possible losing a future costumer&#8230; More <a href="http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009/12/microsoft-difference-between-cheat-exploit-none-banned.ars">info</a>    </p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>While the length of the name increases with each iteration of the game.  Today is a huge event for video gamers &#8211; whether PC or console players.</p>
<p>While I won&#8217;t be splashing out for the Playstation 3 version of the game that comes packaged with night vision goggles.  I will be buying a copy of the game today &#8211; along with tens of thousands of other gamers.</p>
<p>I know of several other account planners who play this game. Unfortunately we all use different gaming platforms, so can&#8217;t play either as a unit or against each other.  </p>
<p>A review has been posted by MTV <a href="http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/11/10/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2-review-200-hours-down-the-tubes/">HERE</a>. They have been lucky enough to play the game for 200 hours already (hopefully with some sleep along the way).</p>

Out of the group that was playing Alex and myself are the top two players, ranking is various. I honestly don&#8217;t care if I get fourth once or twice. It just how you feel up to it. Of course if I play against Jake and Sean I&#8217;m bound to lost about 96% of the time. My biggest peeve about playing with other people is the fact that they go all up in your face or like Jake has that grin like &#8220;haha I beat you and you can never beat me&#8221;. Last night playing COD5 I got in 3 place two times and one of the guys I was playing with tells me that I suck. Well for one he was teamed up with Alex and two he says he&#8217;s really good when playing with teams. I took up to play just against me just to prove that he needs to keep his mouth shut unless he really trying to make a point. If your greatest accomplishment is at beating someone that is equal to you or lesser or greater than you then you should stop playing and get a life. I&#8217;ll say up front that I&#8217;m not saying that if you sit at home and play video games non-stop that you don&#8217;t have a life. Also I happen to do this once in a while mainly just to Sean or Jake at most games especially SSBB.(:D) Just if you happen to be good or just that one time you were able to beat the better person don&#8217;t go to that person telling them that they suck. </p>

<p>        Sometimes it&#8217;s not always the clip size, the rate of fire, or the range that makes the gun. Sometimes, you just want to get that kill in style and with a bit of class: enter the .357 Magnum Revolver. The weapon is loaded with sheer firepower and bravado that is unmatched in terms of handguns. Certain soldiers during World War II were allowed to purchase and take their own sidearms into battle and it was not uncommon to see soldiers with their Magnum strapped to their side. General Patton was known to carry a Smith and Wesson Model 27 into the battle; he dubbed the firearm arm as his special &#8220;killing gun.&#8221;</p>
<p>The .357 Magnum Revolver, that you troops use on the field, is named after the special .357 Magnum cartridges that are loaded inside. The .357 Magnum cartridge was created by Elmer Keith, Phillip B. Sharpe, and Colonel D.B. Wesson to compete with the Colt&#8217;s .38 Super Automatic. The bullet used the .38 Special cartridges as a starting point and then improved the design to withstand greater pressures within the barrel. The .357 Magnum became known for its incredible stopping power, which produces enough energy to create a hydrostatic shock capable of creating remote wounding within its targets. To this day, the .357 Magnum is still held in extremely high regard for its stopping power among handgun ammunition.</p>
<p>Tips for the .357 Magnum Revolver</p>
<p>    * The .357 Magnum has both considerable stopping power and recoil, therefore it is best to aim for the chest. With a couple shots to the chest, you are guaranteed to bring down your target, where as a couple shoots to the head are most likely going to miss their destination.<br />
    * Reload times with the .357 Magnum are fairly long when compared to other handguns, so it is smart to have the Sleight of Hand perk equipped as well as another weapon that could benefit from a faster reload.<br />
    * With only six rounds in the chamber, it&#8217;s going to be tough to take down an entire army. Stick close to your teammates and use the .357 Magnum to finish off enemies engaged in a firefight. Think of it as the final nail in their coffin. </p>

It looks like Activision is beginning to plan for a movie based on their extremely popular war games, Call of Duty. Trademark news website Trademonk has dug up a September trademark application by Activision for Call of duty that states “pre-recorded movies featuring comedy, drama, action, adventure, music, theatrical performances and/or animation”. No other info is currently present or available. There is also no indication which era the movie could take place, as Call of Duty has tackled World War 1 &#38; 2 as well as fictitious modern skirmishes as well.</p>

Though, regardless of whether you&#8217;re a genetically enhanced super soldier or not, you are guaranteed to have months of fun with this game&#8230; Quite literally months. ODST brings a new campaign, new characters, new maps, a new multiplayer mode, and new achievable medals in game, to the board. What <strong><em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">more</span></em></strong> could a gamer want?</p>
<p>The campaign <em>(which I have now finished through multiple 6-12 hour shifts at my friends houses</em>) offers <strong>20-30 hours</strong><strong> </strong>of gameplay (<em>depending on the number of players, difficulty and whether or not you take the time to enjoy the game</em>), and the multiplayer mode; Firefight (<em><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">practically endless</span></strong></em>), promises never to have the same experience twice, simply meaning when you play it, it&#8217;s always going to be a little bit different from before. The array of new characters is surprising, <strong>especially</strong> Buck (<em>the shotgun enthusiast</em>) who&#8217;s modelled after and voiced by one <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan_Fillion">Nathan </a><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan_Fillion">Fillion</a> (<em>yes, that&#8217;s right, that extremely cool guy from Serenity and Firefly</em>) who also voiced our favourite Gunnery Sergeant Reynolds back in Halo 3.</p>
<p>The only thing that is debatable in regards to ODST, is whether sprinting up behind a wraith and throwing a grenade inside is ultimately more mindblowingly, eyepoppingly, jawdroppingly satisfying than blasting hoards and hoards of grunts to pieces with your incredibly well missed, Fuel rod gun. In terms of multiplayer, the only other game out/coming out is probably Call Of Duty 5. Despite it being rated <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">8.6/10</span></strong> on the international gaming network, ODST has come a long way in terms of new (<em>and old</em>) content, with the introduction of fully explorable maps; New Mombasa, the reintroduction of the famed and dangerous <strong>scoped pistol </strong>(yay!)<strong> </strong>and health packs which give the sense of vulnerability enhancing the gameplay even more (<em>especially when you take out that wave of Hunters that&#8217;s pestering you</em>) and finally visor mode acting as a useful night vision tool. However, as with most things in life, change is expected. The Flood for example, are no where to be seen (<em>finally!</em>) and all new equipment that debuted in Halo 3, including the battle rifle and dual-wielding (<em>which didn&#8217;t go down so well with the fans</em>).</p>
<p>Overall, the game is worth the money that you&#8217;d pay for it (<a href="http://www.thehut.com/games/platforms/xbox-360/halo-3-odst/10043099.html?utm_source=googleprod&#38;utm_medium=gp&#38;utm_campaign=gp_games">£29 from TheHut.com</a>), especially if you were never one to buy Halo 3. This ensures you can play both ODST, Firefight, and Multiplayer Halo 3 with all maps available. I&#8217;d have to agree with IGN&#8217;s rating, but still think it&#8217;s worth investing in.</p>

<p>A single kill has a base score of 100 XP, so expect much higher numbers. The level cap will be 70. Prestige has been reworked and will be rewarded.</p>
<p><strong>Callsign</strong><br />
MF2 features a much more customizable &#8220;identity&#8221; for the player, which will pop up for all to see if you achieve in-game feats, like killstreaks, objectives, or shooting down support elements. This pop-up info pane, or &#8220;<span style="color:#99cc00;">callsign</span>&#8221; will include your gamertag, and custom backgrounds along with a few other new features.</p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">Your<span style="color:#99cc00;"> title</span>, which defaults to your rank (starting at &#8220;FNG&#8221;, SSGt, etc.) is selectable and more novel ones will be unlocked depending on your play style. Appears very similar to Street Fighter IV&#8217;s profile tags.</p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;">Your <span style="color:#99cc00;">emblem</span> also defaults to your proper rank insignia, but can also be any number of avatar-like pictures, unlocked in similar ways to titles.</p>

Killstreaks</span> are now customizable. It appears as though you can select 3 to be active at any time, unknown whether or not this number can increase. <p>While I have always planned to write about the second map pack for <em>Call of Duty: World at War</em>, I didn&#8217;t originally plan to review it &#8211; rather, I was thinking of giving some impressions about the pack. But now that I&#8217;ve spent a considerable amount of time gunning people and zombies alike in the different locations it offers, I think a full, scored review is what I should write.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re a big <em>COD: WAW</em> fan, you have probably already bought this map pack &#8211; unless you own the Wii version, in which case it&#8217;s about time you bought a real console (burn!). However, I&#8217;m sure there&#8217;s a few undecided people out there who can&#8217;t decide whether or not three maps and a Zombie level are worth ten dollars. And so, this review is for you guys.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll start off with the three maps. Corrosion was the first one I played at, so why not start there? If you&#8217;re a fan of small, tightly packed areas like Dome, you&#8217;ll find plenty to like about Corrosion. There are few ways to enter the main building. While the doorways are the most conventional, they may not always be the best, as smart players can set up bouncing betties or camp right outside them. Luckily, an alternative entrance is available in the form of a pipe that leads up the side of the building and opens up to the second floor of the building. The second floor is little more than a walkway that can allow those standing on it a good angle to shoot enemies walking below, but it can also make you more vulnerable if you don&#8217;t watch all sides below. Out of the three maps, Corrosion is my favorite. I like how its small size means you can quickly find enemies, even if that also means I&#8217;ll be getting shot up a lot more often as well.</p>
<p>Sub Pens is a medium-sized map with both open areas for massive fire fights and smaller hallways allowing players to sneak up on each other. The main open area is smack dab in the middle, on a path that connects the two sides of the map. Both a parked airplane and docked submarine are located in the middle, and some cover can be found once you step inside the submarine and hide behind the walls. Inside the submarine is a great place for bouncing betties, but don&#8217;t be surprised if you get killed while trying to set one up. This map takes a little more strategy than Corrosion, but it&#8217;s still easy to rack up a high kill count if you know what you&#8217;re doing.</p>
<p>By far the largest map out of the three is Banzai, which is home to a large bridge and a stunning waterfall. It&#8217;s hard not to appreciate the beauty of the Japanese jungle, but it&#8217;s also hard not to get sniped by players sitting in one of the many ideal places for doing so. While laying at the end of the long central bridge <em>can</em> get skilled snipers a fair share of kills, it&#8217;s the river below the bridge and the caves behind the waterfall that offer the most interesting battlegrounds. I tend to rush into fights instead of taking my time, so as a result, I die a lot on this map. For those who don&#8217;t mind waiting a bit for their next target, Banzai is a decent place to practice long distance kills.</p>

<p>The Zombie mode of <em>COD: WAW</em> has gotten very popular since the time <a href="http://frayedwire.wordpress.com/2009/01/24/call-of-duty-world-at-war-xbox-360-and-wii-review/">I first reviewed the game and noted that &#8220;this mode hasn’t really caught on with the general playerbase of <em>COD: WAW</em>.&#8221;</a> Needless to say, if I reviewed the game today, I would not say anything like that at all. And so, because of the mode&#8217;s growing popularity, people have come to expect lots from each new Zombie map. Shi No Numa (or &#8220;Zombie Swamp&#8221;) delivers a noticeably different experience from the first two levels, which is exactly what it needed to keep Zombies feeling fresh.</p>
<p>The thing that sets Shi No Numa apart is the element of teamwork that is required to go far in it. Depending on whether or not you are working together with the other team members, Shi No Numa is either the hardest Zombie map or the easiest. The first few times I played Shi No Numa online with strangers, we didn&#8217;t get very far at all. It wasn&#8217;t until I went through it with some friends and used my headset that we were getting our game lengths to around half an hour every time.</p>
<p>Spending half an hour at one map may get tiresome and boring if you&#8217;re playing on either of the first two Zombie maps, but on Shi No Numa, there&#8217;s always somewhere new to go. This is due mostly in part to the fact that the mystery box changes locations much more frequently than on Zombie Verruckt. When a player opens the box and finds a teddy bear instead of a weapon, the box stops working and gets transported to a new spot. Most of time, this will cause the team of players to move to the next box location until a teddy is found again. As the match progresses, the box travels through each of the four huts that branch off from the main structure rising out of the Japanese swamp. These huts consist of a perk machine, a window or two in the back, and the main doorway in front where the majority of zombies pass through. With four players and a little communication, it&#8217;s not too hard to easily survive wave after wave if you assign two people to the front entrance and two to guard the back windows. Of course, it doesn&#8217;t stay easy forever; zombies get faster, tougher, and come in greater numbers as the rounds pass by. Occasionally, you&#8217;ll face an entire round of hell hounds. It&#8217;s essential to work with your team when they appear, or the overgrown zombie dogs will take you out in no time. The hell hound rounds are made a little easier with the addition of a new gun: the Wunderwaffe DG-2 (or, as many people online have come to call it, the &#8220;Waffle Maker&#8221;). This fictional weapon shoots a bolt of lighting that can destroy multiple targets in one shot. It&#8217;s a worthy addition, but I see people replace it often when they open up the mystery box looking for a new gun.</p>
<p>Achievements/trophies have finally been added to Zombie mode, and they can only be attained through Shi No Numa. Luckily most of them fall under the &#8220;you have to be good to get them&#8221; side of things, as opposed to challenges only deliberate farming would achieve. Maybe the &#8220;kill only one zombie with a nuke&#8221; achievement is a little in the farmable category, but the rest, which include &#8220;survive 15 rounds without going down once&#8221; and &#8220;have all four perks at one time&#8221; require some skill to get.</p>
<p>As happy as I am that there are now Zombie achievements, the few problems I have always had with <em>COD: WAW</em>&#8217;s Zombie mode remain unchanged: no XP of any sort can be earned through the mode, the game starts off way too slow, and there is no way to choose to start on a later round or retry a round once everyone goes down. I&#8217;d like to think those problems will get addressed in the next map pack, but in all likelihood that&#8217;s how it will always be.</p>
<p>That won&#8217;t stop me from wanting to buy the next map pack, however. If Treyarch continues to release DLC of this quality for <em>COD: WAW</em>, I&#8217;ll be happy to join the millions of others who will gladly pay for some more well-made maps.</p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;"><em><strong>Pros: </strong></em>Good variety of map sizes/play styles required for each, all three maps are graphically detailed and fun to play at, Shi No Numa adds an element of necessary teamwork to Zombies mode that hasn&#8217;t been seen before, new achievements</p>
<p style="padding-left:30px;"><em><strong>Cons:</strong></em> $10 seems a tad expensive, Banzai isn&#8217;t my favorite map in the world, Shi No Numa keeps all the nagging faults Zombie mode has always had</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>So the new Map Pack has been released for World At War. Guess what? Im not gonna get, after beeing dissapointed about the first map pack I dont feel the need for this one.</p>
<p>Sad on the new Zombie map tho, and all the new achievements. Well I&#8217;ll live, may as well get a new arcade game on the 360. Also tho; Its double XP at the moment so for all that just wants to reach higher lvls. Time to get on and work on that, may do it myself. </p>
