Zéró egy nagy nulla!!! (jó ez béna volt)

Mi a franc van ezekkel a túlértékelt sorozatokkal? Mintha mostanában több van belőlük, mint kéne. Vagy csak szimplán öregszem? (ááá, csak tizennyolc vagyok) Ha nem lett volna világos, ez egy negatív értékelés lesz. Ami vicces, mert mielőtt mostanában befejeztem a maradék részt az első szezonból(igen a másodikat nem néztem meg kuss legyen! Amúgy is 25 rész untig elég volt), akkor azt gondoltam: “túlértékelt, de azért nem rossz”, de újra megnézve, már borzalmasnak találom. Na akkor csobbanjunk bele!

Sunrise készítette a sorozatot, a CLAMP(akiktől soha az életbe nem fogom legalább az egyik sorozatukat megnézni, és persze kapom ehhez a plusz flamet) karakter dizájnjaival . Ok, hogy miért kellett egy másik mecha sorozat a Gundam mellé az nekem rejtély. Persze sikeres lett, volt a hype rendesen.

2011-ben a Britanniai Királyság (de, miért pont a britek?) háborút indított Japán ellen(valami rasszista szagot érzek)….for no parent reason. Of course sikerül elfoglalniuk, hála az új fegyvereiknek a Knightmare Framek (a mechák ebben a sorozatban)segítségével. A főhős Lelouch, aki brit és Japánban élt akkoriban megígéri a barátjának Suzakunak, hogy elpusztítja az angolokat.Okéééééé! BTW, Japánt 11-es körzetnek nevezték át, a lakókat 11-eseknek (LOL!). Hét év telik el, a srácból kitűnő tanuló lett, bár inkább lógni szokott, hogy sakkozzon és szerencsejátékot űzni. Ejnye! Egy napon egy meg nem magyarázott ok miatt, üldözőbe vett egy szállítmány hordozó 11-es terroristákat (jó van, csak én érzem idiótának ezt az elnevezést?),akik mellesleg Suzaku is célkeresztbe, aki katona lett az angolok között (ok, magyarázza meg, hogy a francba tud egy Japán a Britt seregbe jutni, mellesleg egy magas rangot szerezni? Vagy, csak én vagyok az idióta…). A “csomagban” egy lányt tartalmazott, aki felruházta Leloucht a Geass erejével,(Riiiight!) ami a agy kontrollal bír. Így a srác képes így Britanniát elpusztítani. Már, csak a sereg hiányzik……………

Ha képes vagy túlélni, az enyhén LOL hatású kezdést……ne számítsd jobbra. Az a baj a sztorival, hogy elég hülyén van megírva: random karakterek és sub plottok bukkannak fel és nem is mindegyik annyira fontos, vagy össze van csapva,  és van néhány plot holelunk is. Az anime nem tudja eldönteni, hogy most komoly akar lenni, vagy nem, ami irtó gáz. Ja meg néhány jelenet kifejezetten nevetséges. Hogy így, hogy tudják elhinni, hogy sorozat ez, azt nem értem. Egyébként is a plot nem is annyira nagy szám: csak egy szokásos lázadós sztori, némi Gundam Wing beütéssel. A régebbi Gundamek (sőt, még a 00 is!) simán elsöprik a mecha sorozatok térfeléről. Mondtam, hogy van pár idegesítő fan service is?(hogy ne védjük a Gundamet, néhány sorozatban is volt egyszer boob shoot khöm Kiki in episode 2 of 08TH MS Team khöm!)

A karakterek szódával elmennek, de valamennyiük szerintem túl értékelt. Lelouch nekem nem volt impresszív anti-hős, CC ahhoz képest, hogy ő adta a Geass neki, nem is csinál szinte semmit, csak a pizzát zabálja.(by Pizza Hut! Kivéve az angol verzióban, de inkább jobb is!:)) Suzaku, inkább tűnik egy szereplő a Gundam SEED-ből (ha valaki nézte azt, tudja miért…), Kallen nem rossz, de nem ragadott meg különösen, mellesleg ő a fanservice jelenetek nagy célpontja. Shirley aranyos, meg minden, de csak hülye plot divice szerepe van és még ahhoz is fölösleges. Szóval a karakterek nem igazán komplexek, ami kár, így még egyiküket sem bírtam megkedvelni, vagy szimpatizálni velük.

Várjunk! Ez egy mecha sorozat, milyenek a csaták! Először is, a mechák dizájnja nem rossz, de én inkább a Gundam dizájnokat jobban bírom.(ok, Lancelot is cool!) A csaták látványosak, szóval azzal nincsen kifogásom. DE! Egy dolog rombolja le ezeket: elvileg fontos a taktika, de itt amikor betoppan egy szuper erős Knightmare, az már eldönti az egészet, így ezeket sikerül néha nagyon unalmassá tenni! Francba Sunrise, pedig ez lenne a legjobb része az Animének! Amúgy, annyira nincs sok. Kár!

Tálalás: a grafika…..mi a sz*r ez a karakter dizájn?! Könyörgöm, ezt már majdnem olyan rossz, mint a Key pedofil loli/shota dizájnjai! Hogy a francba lett így a Clamp népszerű? Most olyan fel lettek kapva, hogy nem is tudom. Na mindegy, ha az animációt nézzük egész kiváló. A zene nem rossz, az angol szinkron egész kiváló lett.(van egy hang ami idegesített mondjuk) Már kifejezetten inzultált, hogy néhány kedvencemet halottam ebben a sorozatban. Ja, a Japánt lesz*rom, háhá! Az OP és ED számok egész jók, de képileg elképesztő lustaság van a váltás után.

Végszó: nem értem, hogy mit látnak az emberek ebben a sorozatban(bár ezt a kijelentést sok mindenre mondom). A sztori hülyén van tálalva, a karakterek nem rosszak, de semmi plusz nincsen bennük és a látvány sem totálisan kiváló. Aki egy komolyabb mecha sorozatot akar, azt inkább nézzem a Gundameket. (és az Animaxnak is azokat ajánlom megvenni, mintsem ezt. Ja, ha teheti vegye meg a régieket is!) Igaz, a második évadot nem néztem meg, de arról azt halottam, hogy még ennél is rosszabb, most már még inkább. Sunrise többé ne csinálj ilyet!

Amúgy ez volt a “Rossz Anime Nézés” ráadás. Most két célpontom van: egy olyan, ami az idióta felállás miatt alig merek megnézni. A másik meg annyira rossz, hogy röhögni fogok rajta jellegű lesz elvileg. Lehet tippelni!

SINOPSIS

SINOPSIS

Destruyendo a sus enemigos y declarándose como Zero una vez más, Lelouch se dispone a terminar lo que empezó.

Sinopsis:

Comentar es agradecer....!!

     Innocent Venus is a strange short little anime.  It’s about these three people: Nobuto Sana, Katsuragi Jō, and Tsursawa Jin.  In the near future, Japan is essentially divided between an elite upper class, called Logos, and everyone else, called Levinas.  There’s a massive income and standard of living gap, and the Levinas aren’t too happy about it.  For some reason, the government is chasing after this girl, Sana, and Jō and Jin protect her.  Over the course of their adventures, we learn about Phantom, the government’s secret task force, their giant robot weapons called Gladiators, Jin’s true motivations, and Sana’s true purpose.  We meet the oddly charismatic pirate leader, Shiba Toraji, the lovable rogue Gora, and all the members of Phantom, including the manipulative Maximus Drake.  And various parts of Japan, including Satsuma (Boshin War?), rise up against the Japanese government.

     This is a rather unsatisfying anime series for many reasons.  For one, Jin’s sudden change is completely out of the blue.  I like surprises, but this isn’t a surprise.  It’s like the writers suddenly decided he was going to be a villain.  So then, Jō is suddenly the main character more than halfway into the series.  Okay…  Secondly, it’s short, but even still, it seems like the show is rambling.  They leave the Ishin, and then come back.  Um… why?  Why didn’t the Ishin’s crew just go with them?  I don’t know.  The Gladiators are also pretty sad as far as mecha go.  I’ll take mobile suits, Evangelions, or Knightmare Frames any day.  And their design is pretty creepy.  When giant robots involve the nervous systems of small children, that’s just creepy.  And not in a cool way.  More like a what the hell were the writers thinking kind of way.

     Now, the soundtrack is fine, the animation’s good, and the voice acting is of high quality.  But this is a series with a fundamentally poor plot, so none of that really matters.  You get to like the main characters, but it’s not that same emotional attachment that you get in really good stories.  And Jin, the character who is built up to be the nicest, turns out to actually be a total bastard.  That really throws you off.  The main villain’s motivations are also really fuzzy.  Drake is willing to trick basically the entire world to see how cool his giant robots get?  That’s a little unbelievable, to say the least.  The most lovable characters would have to be Toraji, because he’s so eccentric, and Gora, who, for all his problems, is actually a pretty nice guy.  This is a nice show if you need something to occupy your time, but on the whole, it’s not that good.  If you want a show about Japan with giant robots, Code Geass will satisfy you a lot better.

Nah, ini Codegeass pastinya udah dengar kata-kata ini donk. Anime codegeass yang disiarin di animax (setau) dan manganya yang udah di terbitkan oleh asuka comic. Juga ada di majalah komik shojo, Asuka (wah nama penerbit dan nama majalah komiknya sama)

Ceritanya yaitu tentang, jepang di 10 agustus 2010 yang telah dikuasai oleh Britannia. Selain jepang britannia adalah negara yang menguasai hampir seluruh dunia dengan teknologi Knightmare Frame

Lelouch lamperouge, tokoh utamanya adalah pangeran britannia yang dibuang oleh ayahnya setelah kematian ibunya, Marianne vi Britannia.
Kemudiaan lelouch tinggal dengan adiknya yang bernama Nunally, yang buta dan lumpuh setelah menyaksikan kematian ibunya.
Dengan niat balas dendam pada ayahnya , Lelouch bersumpah di depan sahabatnya, Suzaku Kururugi ia akan menghancurkan Britannia dengan tangannya sendiri.
Lelouch akhirnya bertemu dengan gadis bernama C.C yang lalu memberikan kekuatan misterius bernama “Geass Power of the King”.
Geass adalah kemampuan misterius, yang didapat seseorang setelah mengikat kontrak dengan penyihir abadi.
Ketika Geass mencapai puncak kekuatannya, orang yang menerimanya akan mendapat kode Penyihir Abadi yang akan memberikan kekuatannya kepada mereka. Lelouch membuat organisasi Black Knights, yaitu organisasi bentukan Zero alias Lelouch yang bertujuan untuk mengusir Britannia dari Jepang.

The Empire of Britannia has invaded Japan using giant robot weapons called Knightmare Frames. Japan is now referred to as Area 11, and its people the 11’s. A Britannian who was living in Japan at the time, Lelouch, vowed to his Japanese friend Suzaku that he’d destroy Britannia. Years later, Lelouch is in high school, but regularly skips out of school to go play chess and gamble on himself. One day, he stumbles on terrorists 11’s who’ve stolen a military secret and is caught by a member of the Britannian task force sent after them, who is Suzaku. As the rest of the squad arrives, Suzaku is shot for disobeying orders, while the military secret, a young girl, gives Lelouch the power of Geass, which makes anyone obey any order. While Suzaku is secretly made the pilot of Britannia’s brand new prototype Knightmare, Lancelot, Lelouch becomes the masked Zero to lead the rebellion to destroy Britannia once and for all.

First completed anime review is finally posted. Seriously, I was that lazy, but whatever. To start off with, I will be giving my thoughts on a worldly known anime. Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch [(コードギアス 反逆のルルーシュ)] – or for the dubbed folks – Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion.

I honestly did not watch this until before the 3 last episodes were about to air. After watching several failed Mecha type anime, I decided not to watch it. But, I was bored one day and I totally did not feel like studying for exams, so I finally caved in and watched the first episode. I was completely off with what I thought I would be expecting out of Sunrise, yet again. The first episode got me hook and soon after, I watched the following episode. Pieces of the puzzle on what I was confused about in the beginning became clearer and clearer as the episodes move along. And my expectations were completely blown out of the way as it continued to differ from what I was expecting from the episode. Well, not all the time, as patterns soon start to show themselves. Nevertheless, it was a good watch. Plots wise, it was acceptable, to me at least. Characters? They each have their own uniqueness and they each are messed up to a point. When I say mess up, I mean mess up in a good way and in a bad way.

Speaking of plots, the way each episodes ends always makes you want to watch the next one as Sunrise made sure to leave you a cliffhanger. I honestly liked the whole thing, since it actually made me watch the next episode instead of waiting a week or two before watching it. I usually go by with the “I can do it later” – which leads to the whole procrastination thing. Curse my laziness and my procrastination. Old habits do die hard~

Anyways, character wise, I totally love the characters! Well, love as in how they are made. It does not completely mean I like the character as a whole. I can accept the whole fact that some needs to be hated and all that. But still. Lelouch Lamperouge – also known as Lelouch vi Britannia – left me hanging on his inquisitive mind. I like being a smartass and he being a character that uses his mind to a complete success makes him a kickass character in my book! Plus, he is a Byronic protagonist. I honestly do prefer these as it makes the whole story more interesting. As for Kururugi Suzaku, Lelouch’s best friend as well as his thorn, is the goody-two-shoes type of character. A pacifist, an idealist as well as a, let’s say, ‘hypocrite’. Not pure hypocrisy, but still nonetheless, in my eyes anyways. Kozuki Kallen Stadfelt was an okay character. Loyal to Zero to a fault and when she sets her mind straight on an objective, she does so to the bitter end, unless changed of course. Shirley Fenette was freaky, honestly, the whole crush thing on Lelouch? Just out with it already, could have saved her the trouble. Rivalz Cardemonde, I honestly do not have anything to say about him. Nunnally Lamperouge – Nunnally vi Britannia – the good old little and helpless sister of the main character. Not to mention his whole reason for his actions, well, top priority anyways. Milly Ashford, I seriously do not want to have a president like her to any school I go to. Nina Einstein, another smart one in the anime. Not only is she infatuated with our good old princess after that event, but she expresses it clearly in one of the episodes. Llyod Asplund is another character I liked and Cecile Croomy is the mediator for our good Earl. Not to mention her freaky and/or weird recipes. C.C. – pronounced C2 – the immortal witch and the one that does as she pleases. Loved how she got under Lelouch’s skin and the whole ‘I do what I want’ characteristics makes her in my top 5 for this series. Too bad her real name was muted in that scene…

I could go on and on about characters, but let us leave it at that. Lelouch, despite him being able to mindlessly used human lives as chess pieces, it completely differs when it someone he cares about. Several scenes are shown throughout the story where he makes mistakes in his ‘game’. Those mistakes always contained someone he truly cared for. But like I said, the plot is acceptable. Acceptable because it seemed, forced in a way. But no matter, it still served as a memorable anime to me. Watched it more than once to get more details in. After all, I am planning on writing a story out of it – or at least novelize it.

So, final verdict, it is a good watch and a fun watch. Then again, to appeal to those that will not like it; I give you my word that it is then considered an ‘average’ rated anime to you. You might watch a few episodes and just end it there. Or you might watch the whole thing and never watch it again or retain any good memories out of it. We live in a world with a lot of people, so different tastes also exist. I for one am not a person that imposes what they like on others. So, watch it and see for yourself. I am speaking to those who have not yet, not to those who have.

As a side note, I am completely aware that this is a late post, but I just wanted to put something I can write out of the blues in the anime reviews. It has been empty long enough and I just needed some content. Nevertheless, I will be posting up my comments on R2 soon enough, as my views on characters and other stuff completely differed in the second season of Code Geass. This has been an epic month and a half in nerdery.  Let me see if I can cover the main points.  I am on the last case of Apollo Justice and I’m still on the Floating Continent in FF6…mostly because it fills me with unbridled rage and I don’t have enough health potions to move on and I don’t want to have to do it all again by going on the airship and then coming back later.  It’s a bit of a quandary.  Other than that, work stuff has kept me busy lately, Conor and I are PAing for a certain reality TV show that involves singing other people’s songs.  In addition, Buffy is finally no longer on hiatus, I just read the most recent Tales of the Vampires one-off written by Becky Cloonan, Fabio Moon, Gabriel Ba, and Vasilis Lolos and a 5 issue arc by Jane Espenson is supposed to be coming out soon I believe.

In addition, our merry band of miscreants has been watching an anime series called “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion“.  It’s 50ish episodes total divided into 2 seasons and COMPLETELY worth your time.  I just finished it last night and I feel great about how it ended.  The characters are interesting and consistent, the artwork is decent and though CLAMP did the original character designs they aren’t horrible, and finally and most importantly the writing is really intriguing and subtle.  At times it can be extremely over the top, but I found that my feelings regarding many of the main characters vacillated between extreme hatred and overwhelming sympathy.

I recently started playing through Mass Effect, and it’s still too early for me to make a statement on how I feel about the game, but I must admit that the character models are GREAT and I enjoy the conversation tree system a lot.  The gameplay is taking a lot of getting used to, I’m not very apt at squad based combat but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.  I tend to be a lone, stealthy person and right now Shepherd is bumbling about.

That’s enough rambling, expect something more coherent soon.  Also, I would be remiss not to recommend Endless Frontier: Super Robot Taisen OG Saga for the DS.  Conor, Terry, and the rest of our merry band have been playing the hell out of it.  Personally, I want to pick up Broken Sword but right now I’m reading a book by Herman Hesse named Narziss and Goldmund and before that I reread Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison and East of Eden by John Steinbeck.

     In recent years, a select few anime took the world by storm.  One of those was Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, created by Sunrise, which brought the world the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise, with character designs by the famous manga artist group, CLAMP.  Like Mobile Suit Gundam, Code Geass features mecha, giant pilot-able robots, in this world called Knightmare Frames.  However, that is only one facet of an extremely complicated story.  It takes place in a world with an alternate history in which the British monarchy began earlier and lost control of the British Isles during the Napoleonic Wars.  Subsequently, a new royal line was created in the Americas, and the Holy Britannian Empire became the greatest power on Earth.  After successfully invading Japan, it reduced the once-proud nation to nothing more than “Area 11,” forcing its citizens to give up their identities and sacrifice themselves for Britannia.

     It is in this situation that we meet Lelouch Lamperouge, a seemingly normal high school student of Britannian descent living in Tokyo.  When a pro-Japanese terrorist group flees through the city, Lelouch ends up getting caught in the crossfire.  He finds out that one of the members of the Britannian Army is his childhood friend, Kururugi Suzaku.  He also meets a mysterious girl named C.C., who gives him the power of Geass, the ability (in his case) to compel anyone to do whatever he says upon making eye contact.  Lelouch then chooses to assist the terrorists, and in doing so, reveals his true identity as Lelouch vi Britannia, the eleventh prince of Britannia.  In order to get revenge on the Britannian Empire for the death of his mother and the blinding and crippling of his sister, Nunnally, Lelouch dons the mask of Zero, a knight fighting for justice and the freedom of Japan.  Along with the terrorists he assisted, he forms the Order of the Black Knights and vows to fight against Britannia, no matter the cost.

     As I mentioned before, this series has many aspects of the mecha genre.  However, it also contains aspects of a thriller/cerebral story, like Death Note, a slice of life story (with all the high school shenanigans), and a historical drama.  So for me, personally, this hits everything I like at once.  Then we’ve got a massive cast and a strong group of main characters.  Lelouch is brilliant, ambitious, and vengeful.  Suzaku is kind, naive, and strong-willed.  C.C. is mysterious, all-knowing, and a tad manipulative.  Kallen Kōzuki, the student by day, terrorist by night, is stubborn, skilled in more ways than one, and just plain awesome.  And that’s only four of the main characters.  There’s also Shirley Fenette, Nunally, Euphemia li Britannia, etc. The story also continued with Season 2, otherwise known as Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2.  That brought in a ton of other new characters, like Gino Weinberg, Li Xingke, and Rolo Lamperouge.

     So you’ve got a strong cast and a highly compelling story.  There are constant twists and turns, through a combination of the dramatic plotline and the craziness of the battle sequences.  There are betrayals, strategic reversals, revelations, and so much more.  The soundtrack is absolutely epic, and the first opening theme song, Colors, by Flow, is one of the best pieces of J-Pop you’ll ever hear.  Now, I watched the English version.  However, from what I can tell, this is one anime where you can pick and choose.  Both the Japanese and English versions have their own virtues.  I only watched the latter out of habit.  In conclusion, if you like any of the things I mentioned above, you should watch this show.  It’s extremely touching and thrilling, and even though parts of it get confusing, and some episodes (especially in R2) seem random, you will love this show.  It’s in the absolute highest tier of anime, right up there with Fullmetal Alchemist.
