Whenever I hang out with this particular guy, he never fails to make me laugh like a madman. He cracks a joke or two, mimics a little girl’s dance, makes people’s faces, tickles me and a series of laughter overheard on the next street will be heard. Whenever we go out with people, they say that we are really comfortable and at ease with each other, thanks to the years of friendship before we became a couple. He teases me with my still-gaining-weight, irregular academic status, epic cooking skills and abnormal fear horror films, and he will be laughing uncontrollably when I  became displeased and says in a still laughing tone that I am hot-headed.

 His idea of consoling me is letting me cry and cry while he listens and pats my back, but after a few serious minutes he teases me on my overgrown baby fats, which would make me chuckle and dry my tears. He perfectly knows how to make me feel good after that all that crying and he knows too well that I feel unloaded whenever I tell him my woes. Then we would be back to our usual selves of making fun at each other.

 Laughter is such a significant element in a relationship and I am beyond grateful that I am with someone who loves me and can make me laugh my ass of. Milk and Oreos are a great combination and so is love and laughter.

Taking care of your skin can be difficult if you aren’t aware of the type of skin you have. It’s important to use products that will help your skin whether you have normal, dry, combination-both oily and dry, oily or sensitive skin.

Growing up, I never realized I had combination skin and always used rich moisturizer that caused my face to get more oily. I didn’t understand that I was hydrating my skin, and I looked greasy. When I began wearing makeup, I noticed even more oil on my face and decided to visit a dermatologist.

I was “diagnosed” with combination skin. The doctor told me I had an oily “T-Zone,” which covers the forehead, nose and chin. The cheeks eyes and mouth are usually normal or dry. I was confused with my face and wondered how was I supposed to maintain an oily and dry skin at the same time.

Through out the years, I stared paying attention to my face and how it reacted to certain face products like lotions and face washes. The weather and certain foods even affected my combination skin. When I purchased certain skin care products and makeup, I made sure to ask a lot of questions and tell them about my skin.

I came across a few products that I have stuck by and some that I have do not care for, for reasons being they are too expensive and found cheaper products that produce the same results or they just didn’t work. To date, my daily skin routine has been the same, with a few product changes.

I always wash my face at night and sometimes in the morning. I don’t wash my face every morning because overnight it  produces sebum, which I notice helps on my dry areas.  I’ll just clean up my T-zone and continue with my usual products. I have used CHANEL’s mousse exfoliante purete, an exfoliating face wash but decided to change it up since spring is near and my skin isn’t as dry as it usually is in the winter. I changed to Clean & Clear morning burst face scrub, which is oil-free, since my face produces more oil with the weather change.

“I personally like to change up 2-3 products in my skin care routine every change of season, primarily because my skin has different needs, but also to give my skin a bit of everything,” according to Renee Rouleau, skin expert and celeb esthetician.

Since the products I use are a light facial scrub, I use my Clarisonic once a week. This machine really cleans oil and dirt trapped in pores as opposed to manually washing your face. I found this product to leave my face smoother, healthier and more radiant.

Finally for my moisturizer, I make sure to use oil-free products with an SPF. Protecting your face from the sun helps maintain healthy skin. I have used products from Kiehl’s skin care line which is very pricy but works well. I currently use a  moisturizer from Clean & Clear gives me the same morning glow as the Kiehls product.

I usually let the moisturizer sink into my skin for about 30 minutes before I apply my make-up and I’m ready for the day. A good face-washing routine is key to maintaining a healthy hydrated face.

In many cases, the combination of acupuncture with chiropractic treatments and other types of manual therapy helps to get patients better faster. The big question is why? We know that more treatment isn’t necessarily better.

So why do I recommend combining acupuncture with hands-on treatment? This combination is effective is at least in part, because it allows us to address two systems at once. • Facilitates muscle strength and helps to correct dysfunctional movement patterns.

• Cartilage and other structures inside of a joint receive their blood supply and nutrients through motion (since the blood supply goes to the outside of the joint). If a joint becomes “locked up” by muscle spasm, scar tissue or by other means for a prolonged time, it begins to feel stiff. Manipulation and/or mobilization of the joint helps to move the synovial fluid around, thus providing fresh nutrients to all parts of the joint, as well as removing waste and easing the feeling of stiffness.

There is a relationship between acupuncture points and known neural structures in the body, i.e. specific points where nerves interact with the spinal cord and/or meet muscles and tendons and other structures. This interaction is what allows acupuncture to work so effectively.

• Scientific evidence supports the idea that acupuncture needling induces a chain of events that results in the release of neurotransmitters and neuro-hormones into various parts of the nervous system.
• This results in widespread and measurable effects on pain relief.
• Stimulates the release of endorphins, the body’s self-made natural painkillers.

Non-specific symptoms, such as anorexia, weight loss, polyuria and heart arrhythmias, are also seen with vitamin D toxicity.
