Logo que a água entre em contato com o objeto em chamas, a água se transforma em vapor. Para transformar a água em vapor, o objeto perde calor. Primeiro o objeto cede calor para a água provocando um aumento em sua temperatura (denominamos este calor de calor sensível &#8211; para a água é de 1cal/g); depois, a água entre em ebulição e se transforma em vapor ( denominamos de calor latente de vaporização &#8211; para a água é de 500cal/g). Assim, a água acaba esfriando o corpo aquecido. Como o vapor produzido ocupa um espaço centenas de vezes maior em volume do que a água que o produziu, ele envolve o objeto e impede a renovação do ar. Sem o ar a combustão é impossível. Todos estes processos ocorrem simultaneamente.</p>

<p><strong> ¿Por qué el agua apaga el fuego? </strong><br />
Una vez que el agua entra en contacto con el objeto en fuego, el agua se convierte en vapor. Para convertir el agua en vapor, el objeto pierde el calor. En primer lugar, el objeto le da calor al agua que provoca un aumento de la temperatura (que llamamos de calor sensible &#8211; del agua es 1 cal/g), entonces el agua empieza a hervir y se convierte en vapor (llamada calor latente de vaporización &#8211; del agua es de 500 cal/g). Así, el agua enfría el cuerpo caliente. Como el vapor producido, ocupa un área de cientos de veces mayor en volumen que el agua que lo produjo, el mismo envuelve el objeto y evita la renovación del aire. Sin el aire la combustión es imposible. Todos estos procesos ocurren simultáneamente.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>There&#8217;s no doubt business all over the world are struggling financially due to the current economic conditions. Everyday more and more business are failing. Thus, we&#8217;ve decided to put together a few actions we&#8217;ve been taking, or a few tips for businesses, in this down economy to cut costs.</p>
<p>- Reduce the &#8220;extras&#8221; given to employees. An example of this is, stop providing free coffee for employees. Instead, make employees pay $.25 each time they have a cup of coffee. You&#8217;ll be amazed at the number of people who will &#8220;cut&#8221; their coffee and the amount of money your company will save on cups and coffee grounds.</p>
<p>-Use cheaper materials. In our coffee example, you could use cheaper coffee or buy it in bulk, so your company gets a better rate/cup.</p>
<p>-Try to work with vendors to get the best rate or get quotes from other vendors to see who can give you the best rate. Your company could talk to your coffee vendor to get a discounted rate, or switch vendors all together.</p>
<p>-Reduce staff- Outsource where you can, cut employee hours, or cut employees if need be.</p>
<p>-Look for cheaper, alternative methods. For instance, it may be cheaper over the long run to purchase each employee a company branded mug and get rid of the coffee cup expense totally.</p>
<p>- Cut Office Hours- by cutting employee hours, and doing it on the same day, your company will not only be saving the money they would be paying employees for that day, but your company will save money on gas and electric as well.</p>
<p>Be extra careful of how and where your company is spending money.  Make sure the top executives know where money is being spent and that the office staff is communicating about the money coming in and going out.  Hopefully this helps- thanks for visiting our blog!</p>

<p>Hoy, 26 de noviembre, el profesor Gregorio Millán Barbany cumpliría 90 años de edad. Falleció hace un lustro uno de las personalidades que más contribuyó, por sus cualidades polifacéticas, al desarrollo científico y tecnológico español. Gregorio Millán inició su actividad investigadora en combustión (aerotermoquímica) gracias a su colaboración con Theodore von Kármán, padre de las ciencias aeronáuticas americanas y creador del Jet Propulsión Laboratory (JPL) del Caltech (Instituto Tecnológico de California), creando el Grupo de Combustión del INTA (Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeronáutica). Gregorio Millán mostró con su ejemplo cómo se podía contribuir desde España al desarrollo de las ciencias aeroespaciales y facilitó el acceso a los foros internacionales y a la investigación en temas de gran importancia práctica a muchos ingenieros jóvenes españoles, entre ellos, a Amable Liñán, autor de su <a href="http://www.elpais.com/articulo/agenda/Gregorio/Millan/impulsor/desarrollo/cientifico/tecnologico/espanol/elpepigen/20041203elpepiage_11/Tes/" target="_blank">obituario en El País</a>.</p>
<p>La figura de Theodore von Kármán, &#8220;<em>el hombre capaz de entrar el último en una puerta giratoria y salir el primero</em>,&#8221; es fundamental para el desarrollo científico y tecnológico español durante la segunda mitad del s. XX. Fue invitado por el profesor Esteban Terradas, director del INTA, en el verano de 1947, durante una breve visita de pocas horas a España, a impartir un ciclo de cuatro conferencias en otoño de 1948. Desde entonces el INTA y von Kármán iniciaron una relación de &#8220;amor&#8221; que permitió que muchos ingenieros aeronáuticos españoles se especializaran en prestigiosos centros de investigación de los Estados Unidos, como el CalTech, permitiendo la incorporación del INTA a la corriente aeronáutica mundial, incluyendo la celebración de dos importantes congresos científicos en España en 1955 y 1958. La financiación del grupo de investigación en combustión (aerotermoquímica) del INTA, a cargo del profesor Gregorio Millán (<a href="http://aerobib.aero.upm.es/millan/Paneles/BiografiaGregorioMillan/Pan01.pdf" target="_blank">breve biografía</a>), corrió en gran parte a cargo de la Oficina de Investigación Científica de las Fuerzas Aéreas de los Estados Unidos. <p>El Grupo de Combustión dirigido por Gregoria Millán ha dado lugar a figuras en este campo tan relevantes como Amable Liñán Martínez, autoridad mundial en el campo donde las haya. Becario de dicho grupo en 1958, Ingenierio Aeronáutico en 1960 por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Aeronautical Engineer en 1963 por el CalTech, doctor en 1966, y catedrático de Mecánica de Fluidos desde 1965. Otras figuras en los <a href="http://aerobib.aero.upm.es/millan/Paneles/GrupoCombustion/PanelesCombustion.pdf" target="_blank">Paneles de Combustión</a>. La <a href="http://www.upv.es/organizacion/conoce-upv/honoris-causa/amable-linan/laudatio-en.html" target="_blank">presentación del profesor Francisco Payri</a> de la Univ. Politécnica de Valencia para la concesión de un Doctorado Honoris Causa a Liñán por dicha universidad, así como <a href="http://www.upv.es/organizacion/conoce-upv/honoris-causa/amable-linan/discurso-en.html" target="_blank">su discurso merecen una lectura</a>. Amable parte de Prandtl (1904), von Kármán (1914), Millikan (1928), pasa por su padre científico Gregorio Millán (1948) y acaba glosando al espectacular Airbus A380.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>A Cetane number is a measure of the fuel&#8217;s ignition delay, which is the time between the start of injection and the start of combustion (ignition) of the fuel. In a particular diesel engine, higher Cetane fuels will have shorter ignition delay periods than lower Cetane fuels. Cetane numbers are only used for the relatively light distillate diesel oils. For heavy (residual) fuel oil two other scales are used CCAI and CII.</p>
<p>Generally, diesel engines run on a Cetane number from 40 to 55. Fuels with higher Cetane number, have shorter ignition delays, and provide more time for the fuel combustion process to be completed. Hence, higher speed diesels operate more effectively with higher Cetane number fuels. There is no performance or emission advantage when the Cetane number is raised past approximately 55. After that point, the fuel&#8217;s performance hits a plateau.</p>
<p>Most states adopt ASTM D975 as their diesel fuel standard and the minimum Cetane number is set at 40, with typical values in the 42-45 range. Premium diesels may or may not have higher Cetane, depending on the supplier. Premium diesels often use additives to improve Cetane number.</p>

Me pregunte cada vez que veía esa humareda que daño nos hace a todos y encontre esto, es largo pero 2 minutos de tiempo para leer nos informa de todo lo que nuestra salud pierde por AUMENTOS DE SUELDO sean o no justificables. Nuestos hijos, seres queridos y nosotros mismos nos exponemos a todo esto&#8230; Con motivo de los repetidos episodios de quema de cubiertas en la vía pública en 1998 se realizó en la provincia de Tucumán República Argentina una investigación sobre los niveles de contaminación atmosférica debido a la presencia de sustancias peligrosas en los alrededores de las fogatas. La toma de muestras se realizó durante tres manifestaciones públicas de mas de dos horas de duración mediante una bomba portátil personal oculta entre las ropas y captando muestras de aire a la altura del cuello del muestreador a distintas distancias de los focos de emisión de humos Las condiciones atmosféricas correspondieron a tiempo soleado, atmósfera calma y presión atmosférica normal de la zona, estas condiciones son las mas desfavorables en cuanto a evitar la dispersión de los contaminantes por la falta de corrientes naturales de aire. Se utilizaron métodos normalizados de toma y análisis de muestras conforme a la Guía Operacional Gems-Aire.</p>
<p>Los parámetros analíticos seleccionados se basan en la composición del caucho y los aditivos utilizados en la fabricación de neumáticos mas los componentes que puede esperarse obtener de una combustión incompleta, para lo cual se estudiaron las partículas de hollín,el anhidrido sulfuroso, sutancias alquitranosas solubles en benceno, los benzopirenos y dibenzoantracenos.</p>
<p>Los resultados obtenidos son alarmantes ya que la concentración de algunos contaminantes superan en varios centenares de veces a la concentración de referencia que se toma como aire normal, en tanto que se pudo comprobar que el radio de inpacto ambiental evidenciable generado por estos episodios abarca mas de 150 metros cubriendo alrrededor de 4 hectáreas.</p>
<p>La contaminación atmosférica ocacionada por la quema de neumáticos emite hacia la atmósfera humos pesados con partículas carboalquitranosas contaminadas a su vez con otros polutantes, las cuales terminan sedimentando sobre superficies domésticas y afectando algunos alimentos expuestos a la atmófera como es el caso del pan, las frutas y las verduras que se consumen crudas, transformándose estos últimos en vectores que transportan los contaminantes a la vía digestiva. La asociación del anhidrido sulfuroso con partículas de hollín menores a 10 micrones de diámetro constituye un potente desencadenante de crisis alérgico respiratorias para personas que padecen estas enfermedades crónicas. Al quemar un neumático con insuficiente cantidad de oxígeno atmosférico, se rompe la estructura molecular del caucho desprendiendo partículas de carbono muy finas, lamayoría de ellas posee un diámetro aerodinámico inferior a 10 micrones y constituye lo que se denomina fracción respirable, de modo que al ser aspirado ese aire, las partículas son transportadas a lo largo del aparato respiratorio con pocas chances de quedar retenidas en los sectores superiores y medio, pudiendo llegar hasta los alveolos del pulmón. La combustión incompleta desarrolla temperaturas comprendidas entre 300°C y 450°C en la superficie de los neumáticos, en esas condiciones partes de las cadena poliméricas del caucho se pirolizan y recombinandando lugar a la formación de un grupo muy amplio de sustancias denominadas alquitranes, algunas de las cuales son probadamente cancerígenas en el ser humano como los benzopirenos y los dibenzoantracenos que fueron encontrados en cantidades significativas al analizar las muestras de aire contaminado. También se encontró en la atmósfera anhidrido sulfuroso que es un gas muy irritante acompañado por metil nitrosamina otro cancerígeno humano. Todos estos contaminantes se adhieren a las finas partículas de carbón por fuerzas electrostáticas de Van der Vals o por fenómenos de atracción polar y son arrastrados hasta lo mas profundo del aparato respiratorio humano quedando alojados en la fina trama vascular de los alvéolos constituyendo una exposición de muy alto riesgo a contraer enfermedades malignas.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-2499" title="TrollArcaneMage" src="http://wowfrostmage.wordpress.com/files/2009/09/trollarcanemage.jpg?w=206" alt="TrollArcaneMage" width="206" height="300" />Le <strong>patch 3.2.2</strong> a été implanté hier et cela signifie quelque-chose d&#8217;important pour nous les mages : nos spécialisations sont autant de rôles bien définis que Blizzard semble avoir aujourd&#8217;hui définitivement gravé dans les murs du Panthéon d&#8217;Azeroth pour les âges à venir : feu et arcane pour le DPS en PvE, givre pour l&#8217;utilité en PvP.</p>
<p>Et c&#8217;est malheureux parce que j&#8217;aime tellement jouer givre&#8230;</p>
<p>Mais non, la spécialisation givre n&#8217;est définitivement plus d&#8217;aucune utilité en PvE dû à son DPS si bas comparativement aux deux autres, et même ses apports fonctionnels sont devenus obsolètes dans le contexte actuel des raids de World of Warcraft : Wrath of the Lich King. Non, vraiment.</p>
<p>Alors oui, ce patch 3.2.2 a apporté deux ou trois nouveautés qui vont faire plaisir à celles et ceux d&#8217;entre-nous qui sont déjà tout en haut de la chaine alimentaire magique. D&#8217;abord, nos amis <strong>les mage &#8220;feu&#8221; </strong>les plus anciens, les routards de BC, vont pouvoir à nouveau faire mumuse avec <em><a href="http://fr.wowhead.com/?spell=11129" target="_blank">Combustion</a></em> comme au bon vieux temps : le patch 3.2.2 signe le retour de ce formidable talent pour le plus grand bonheur des nostalgiques enflammés. Ensuite, enfin et surtout, nous autres <strong>les mages &#8220;arcane&#8221;</strong> sommes aujourd&#8217;hui à nouveau placés dans la course au DPS. Nous étions légèrement en-deçà depuis quelques mois mais c&#8217;est fini. La suite après la coupure&#8230;</p>

<p>Oyez mages arcane ! <strong>Tous les sorts que nous utilisons pour causer des dégats à l&#8217;ennemi ont été améliorés.</strong> Tous. D&#8217;une façon ou d&#8217;une autre.</p>
<ul>
<li><em><a href="http://fr.wowhead.com/?spell=42897" target="_blank">Déflagration des arcanes</a></em> ? 4 debuffs cumulables, réduction du coût en mana, augmentation du taux de proc du Barrage à 40%.</li>
<li><em><a href="http://fr.wowhead.com/?spell=42846" target="_blank">Projectiles des arcanes</a></em> ? Ne consomme plus que le Barrage si <em>Idées claires</em> est également présent.</li>
<li><em><a href="http://fr.wowhead.com/?spell=54490" target="_blank">Barrage de projectiles</a></em> ? Annule le coût en mana du prochain Projectiles des arcanes.</li>
</ul>
<p>Incroyable mais vrai, le DPS du mage arcane étant sensiblement inférieur à celui du mage feu auparavant, Blizzard a décidé de nous remettre sur pied. Miam !</p>
<p>Mais ces modifications subtiles de nos talents et sorts impliquent également une légère modification de notre &#8220;rotation&#8221; DPS afin d&#8217;en tirer parti, et la conséquence majeure de cette amélioration générale est&#8230; une <strong>simplification de notre gameplay</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Comment jouer arcane après le patch 3.2.2 ?</strong></p>
<p>Pour un <strong>DPS optimum</strong> en dégâts et en gestion mana, je préconise la rotation suivante en tout temps :</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>DA </strong>x4<strong> &#8211;&#62; PA &#8211;&#62; </strong><strong>DA </strong>x4 <strong></strong><strong>&#8211;&#62; PA &#8211;&#62; </strong><strong>DA </strong>x4<strong></strong><strong> &#8211;&#62; PA, etc.</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em> DA = Déflagration des arcanes, PA = Projectiles des arcanes</em></p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Nous utiliserons donc la <em>Déflagration des arcanes</em> comme sort prioritaire en tous temps, ne lâchant un <em>Projectiles des arcanes</em> que sur un proc du <em>Barrage de projectiles</em>, et lorsque les 4 debuffs seront présents. Afin d&#8217;optimiser au maximum notre DPS, il sera également possible de lancer le <em>Projectiles des arcanes</em> lorsqu&#8217;<strong>aucun</strong> débuff n&#8217;est présent si les conditions sont remplies (proc du Barrage) et pour gagner du temps, mais jamais si 1, 2 ou 3 debuffs de la<em> Déflagration</em> sont présents : ça serait du gaspillage et une perte sèche en DPS.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Par ailleurs, notez qu&#8217;il est impératif de ne plus <strong>lancer <em>Projectiles des arcanes</em> que lorsque <em>Barrage d</em><em>e projectiles</em> a proc</strong>, si bien que si le <em>Barrage</em> n&#8217;a toujours pas proc après quatre applications de la <em>Déflagration</em>, vous devrez continuer à lancer des <em>Déflagrations des arcanes</em>.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Comme vous le constatez, notre talent ultime de l&#8217;arbre des arcanes a complètement disparu de notre rotation DPS. C&#8217;est malheureux et j&#8217;imagine que Blizzard reviendra à l&#8217;assaut pour le remettre au goût du jour mais en attendant, réservez le <em><a href="http://fr.wowhead.com/?spell=44425" target="_blank">Barrage des arcanes</a> </em>pour vos déplacements, il y a toujours des moments où il est impossible de rester sur place à caster, utilisez ce temps pour continuer à DPS avec lui.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Imagine. Its a hot day. You have too much heat. You are standing at the bus stop,  someone gets up and you take their seat. They have heated up the seat with their bum, but when you sit down you dont find their heat unpleasant - even though you have too much of your own. If you found that person attractive, you even <em>like</em> their heat (but you would never tell anyone).</p>
<p>This is because their heat is a frequency that you dont have much of. Heat is part of the electromagnetic spectrum. The visible part has colors for different frequencies. Heat also has a spectrum (infra-red). Different people (and things) generate different frequencies of heat, due to differences in personality, genetics, diet, activity, etc. Everyone has their own unique pattern of heat, and it can change quickly and easily.</p>
<p>Heat from combustion and electric resistance are different from each other. So, cooking on gas tastes different than cooking on an electric element, or a microwave oven, because different frequencies of heat enter the food, resulting in slight differences in the chemical reactions that are the cooking process. No need to think you are crazy because you dont like the taste of things cooked in the microwave! Heat from a fire matches our combustion heat, so it either feels nice if we are cold. Not all heat is the same.</p>
