Minyak turun di bawah $ 77 per barel pada Selasa menjelang diharapkan data yang menunjukkan persediaan minyak mentah naik di Amerika Serikat, tetapi perdagangan tipis menjelang liburan Thanksgiving pada hari Kamis.

Sebuah laporan mingguan dari American Petroleum Institute (API) pada pukul 0430 WIB adalah kemungkinan untuk gambaran bearish permintaan energi AS, kata para analis.

Survei Reuters dari analis memperkirakan data inventaris AS akan menunjukkan 1,6 juta barel minyak mentah dalam cadangan selama seminggu untuk November 20, akibat produksi kembali pulih dari gangguan Teluk Meksiko disebabkan oleh Badai Tropis Ida.

US crude untuk pengiriman Januari turun 80 sen ke $ 76,76 per barel jam 2134 WIB, setelah berakhir naik 9 sen di $ 77,56 pada hari Senin. London Brent crude turun 42 sen menjadi $ 77,04.

John Paulson of Paulson & Co, the legendary hedge fund manager who made tens of billions betting on the mortgage crisis between 2007 to 2009, likes gold.  He really likes it.  He likes gold more than a friend.

To most market participants, this is not news, but here’s something you probably didn’t know:  Paulson owns more gold than several major countries!  Combined!

Here’s how we get that 110 tonne abstract to represent his gold position:

Based on several analyses of his filings, Paulson’s wagering roughly 15% of his $30 billion hedge fund in the precious metal ($4.3 billion).  His investment is spread out between ETFs, physical bullion and shares of gold mining stocks, but for the purpose of this discussion, we’re going to look at them in the aggregate as representational of a bet on gold (which they are).

I am using the “tonne” as my unit of measurement because that is how the World Gold Council measures a nation’s gold reserves.  A tonne is a metric ton, it equals 1000 kilograms.

Assuming Paulson & Co currently owns $4.3 billion worth of gold and using the recent price of $1100 per ounce of gold,  we come up with a total of 3.9 million ounces:

$4,300,000,000 / 1100 oz = 3 909 090.91 ounces

Paulson’s 3.9 million ounces million ounces add up to 110 metric tonnes (35,273 ounces in a tonne):

3.9 million ounces divided by 35,273 oz per tonne = 110 tonnes

As can be seen in the chart above, Paulson holds more gold than many nations with individual populations in the millions and economies in the hundreds of billions.  His reasoning for being so bullish is that there are roughly $200 trillion investable assets (in dollars) in the world, but only $800 billion of that wealth is in gold.

Whether or not the world is truly under-invested in gold is up to you to decide, but Paulson’s bet is a big one by any measure.

Emas berangsur naik pada hari Selasa karena investor menyukai emas sebagai lindung nilai jangka menengah terhadap pelemahan dolar dan kemungkinan inflasi, tetapi tetap di bawah rekor puncak sesi sebelumnya akibat mata uang AS berangsur menguat.

Prospek pelemahan dolar lebih lanjut dan lebih banyak pembelian emas oleh the official sector mendukung naiknya harga, kata analis.

Spot emas diperdagangkan pada $ 1,169.50 per ons pada 1921 WIB, terhadap $ 1,165.85 akhir perdagangan di New York pada hari Senin. Emas berjangka AS untuk pengiriman Desember pada divisi COMEX New York Mercantile Exchange naik $ 5,50 menjadi $ 1,170.20 per ons.

Minyak tergelincir menuju $ 77 per barel pada Selasa, tertekan oleh dolar yang lebih kuat, tetapi perdagangan tipis menjelang liburan Thanksgiving AS dan data yang diharapkan untuk menunjukkan kenaikan stok minyak mentah di Amerika Serikat. Dolar naik karena beberapa investor membeli mata uang dolar atau menutup posisi pendek sebelum Thanksgiving.

At odds with the fundamentals, the gold price continues to climb. Setting all-time nominal records after gaining around 30% so far this year, the EIU has upped its forecast for gold in 2010 and 2011. This is despite estimated growth in supply of 11% and a decline in demand of 14% this year. A story at the blog’s parent site explains the revised forecast: “High prices have proven self-reinforcing, encouraging investors to bet on further rises” [subscription required].

The Buttonwood columnist at The Economist argues that recent events around gold fulfil most of the preconditions for a bubble. But unlike the stock market, Buttonwood writes, gold’s lack of earnings or yield make it difficult to judge value relative to historical averages. (For what it’s worth, the current price is only around half of the metal’s inflation-adjusted high, US$2400, set in 1980.)

If some permanent loss of faith in the dollar is possible, gold will remain resilient as investors and central banks diversify their holdings. The spectre of stimulus-fuelled inflation in the US is also supportive of bullion. Mix in some speculative froth, and the gold price seems likely to remain elevated in the coming years. The EIU now anticipates an average gold price of US$1,186 per troy ounce in 2011, up from a previous forecast of US$1,044.

Wenn während einer Kerze kein neuer Kurs festgestellt wird, sollte doch zumindest wie bei den 3 letzten Bars “waagrechte Linien” den Zeittick wiedergeben, oder? Es passiert aber häufiger, das Löcher entstehen, so wie hier. Die Open Time der letzten Kerze in M1 war 09:44, 7 Minuten kein Update. Ist das normal???

Harga emas dipasar spot kembali naik, naik sebesar $4.10 vs penutupan bursa New York menjadi $4.10, bergerak memasuki wilayah positif setelah anjlok dilevel-level terendah,” ujar trader basis Sydney.

EUR/USD tidak bisa menjadi acuan, lebih banyak terjadi fund buying. “Tidak ada penawan saat ini, dan hanya sedikit terjadi penjualan.

Kami memperkirakan trend emas terus melemah dipembukaan bursa London, tetapi adanya penurunan terbatas terlihat baik untuk menjaga keamanan,” ujar trader.

This has got to be the fastest economic collapse and recovery in the history of the world.  Just a year ago we had economic meltdown.  Many people so much closer to the action thought that our entire banking system was going to collapse.  They felt there would be runs on the banks and that faith in our economic system would be so poor that people would ditch the dollar entirely and begin bartering. 

As it turned out there was a run on one bank, Washington Mutual.  In just a few days they lost billions of dollars.  Thankfully, most people weren’t paying much attention, so they didn’t lose faith.  JP Morgan Chase came to the rescue and took over Wamu just in time. 

Just a year ago, CBS had some serious liquidity problems.  What’s more, advertising sales were way WAY down, and people wondered whether they’d survive.  Here it is a year later and CBS stock has gone from a low of $4 a share to $12 somthing today.  That’s a tripling of price.  Not only that, but CBS is going to pay a DIVIDEND this time around.  I think it’ll be to holders of record at the beginning of December.  That’s usually how these things work.  Seeing that the stats look good for CBS I went out and bought some the other day. 

CBS is a good barometer of the economy because when businesses feel they can operate properly, they begin spending on advertising.  Advertising drives a lot of our economy, and it’s also among the most fragile commodities sold in our economy.  So, you just know that if companies are advertising, there must be some optimism out there for the future.

But what about jobs?  Jobs always lag.  A company is going to get on firm financial footing and then they’re going to get more sales and then they’re going to run their current employees ragged servicing the new customers before they’ll ever think about hiring more people.  So, jobs are a long way off.  I don’t see more jobs out there for at least a couple years. 

But the economy itself?  If you saved your money instead of spending it on an overpriced home, you’re now in a great position to take advantage of bargains.  With our current deflation, prices are coming down on a lot of commodities.  It’s a good time to buy lots of stuff.  Heck, even gasoline is down.  In SF last night it was $2.85 once again.  So much for the Bill Wattenburgs of the world who predicted that unless we go nuclear we’d be paying upwards of $5 a gallon for gasoline.  Ain’t gonna happen in a deflationary time.

And what about deflation?  Is that good for us?  Well, in the long run it means that wages are ultimately going to drop.  We’re already seeing this.  Today, clerk typists are making about $12 an hour.  Fifteen years ago, clerk typists were making about $15 an hour.  But, as our labor becomes cheaper we will begin seeing a lot of the jobs that had been offshored to Asia come back to us.  I think we’re about to hit a job boom within the next five years.

04:45 –Minyak mentah berakhir Ditutup Menguat Setelah Perdagangan Choppy; Dorongan Lemahnya Dolar

Minyak mentah Berjangka AS berakhir menguat pada hari Senin dalam perdagangan choppy, didukung oleh melemahnya dolar dan harapan bagi pertumbuhan ekonomi meskpun kekhawatiran tentang permintaan dan persediaan yang tinggi membatasi kenaikan minyak.

“Minyak sedang didorong oleh emas dan ketakutan inflasi yang membuat emas dan dolar menguat,” kata Phil Flynn, analis di PFGBest Penelitian di Chicago.

Dolar jatuh terhadap sekeranjang mata uang setelah komentar dari pejabat Fed memperkuat pandangan bahwa suku bunga AS akan tetap rendah untuk beberapa waktu.

Bursa AS naik, dengan S & P 500 mencoba keluar dari tga hari sell off karena data yang lebih dari  diperkirakan pada data penjualan rumah memicu optimisme mengenai pemulihan ekonomi dan melemahnya dolar meningkatkan saham komoditas.

Tapi kekhawatiran tentang permintaan dan persediaan menarik minyak mentah lepas dari intraday tertinggi.

Di New York Mercantile Exchange, kontrak Januari naik 9 sen, atau 0,12 persen, untuk menetap di $ 77,56 per barel. Di London, Januari Brent crude naik 26 sen untuk menetap di $ 77,46 per barel.

04:30 –Emas Kembali Catat Rekor Tertinggi di atas $ 1,170 / oz Karena Melemahnya Dolar

Emas catat rekor tertinggi di $ 1,173.50 per ons pada hari Senin karena lemahnya dollar mendorong investor meningkatkan pembelian dalam bentuk emas sebagai lindung nilai terhadap depresiasi mata uang kertas.

Harapan pada rendahnya tingkat suku bunga AS dalam waktu yang lama juga mendukung permintaan investasi bullion.

Logam mulia juga telah merangkak naik dan mencatat serangkaian rekor tertinggi sejak berita bahwa India membeli 200 ton emas dari IMF pada awal November. Sejak saat itu sejumlah bank sentral lainnya telah mengumumkan mereka juga membeli emas.

“Emas memiliki banyak momentum. Emas diperdagangkan di belakang dolar, dan pada saat itu tampaknya akan membuat perdagangan outperformed, karena banyak komoditas lain,” kata Daniel Mayor, seorang analis di RBS Global Banking & pasar.

Sentimen pasar sangat mendukung setelah berita bahwa hedge fund manager John Paulson mengatakan pekan lalu ia meluncurkan dana emas baru. Paulson adalah di antara sejumlah hedge fund manager logam.

Spot emas berada di $ 1,164.20 per ounce pada 2:08 am EST (1908 GMT), dibanding $ 1,148.20 di akhir New York pada hari Jumat. Pada sesi awal, emas mencatat rekor tertinggi sepanjang masa $ 1,173.50. Tahun ini, harga logam telah meningkat hampir 33 persen.

Emas AS berjangka untuk pengiriman Desember di COMEX divisi dari New York Mercantile Exchange ditutup naik  $ 17,90, atau 1,6 persen, pada $ 1,164.70 per ons.

Hallo an alle!

Aufgrund meiner Grippe war ich in den letzten Tagen ein wenig abseits des Geschehens und konnte nicht so wirklich testen.

Aber manchmal kommt es anders als man denkt. Margincall exakt richtig berechnet und meine Position wurde geschlossen, J GBP/USD.

Diese Woche soll nun voll im CFD Focus stehen, ich werde ebenfalls Augenmerk auf Filling, Requotes etc. legen, in der Hoffnung ähnlich gute

Ergebnisse wie beim Forex zu sehen. Zum Thema Alarme, Charts etc. kann ich nur sagen, dass alles zu meiner Zufriedenheit läuft. Da kenn ich manch andere Demo, welche einen zur Weißglut bringen konnte. Ebenfalls möchte ich mich dem scalpen widmen, in der Hoffnung, dass dies auch in einer Liveversion möglich sein kann?

Es soll ja Broker geben die da etwas dagegen haben!? Also auf geht es und ich werde am Freitag ausführlich berichten.

Ich habe mich jetzt schon länger nicht mehr gemeldet, ganz einfach weil ich nicht mehr sehr viel zu bemängeln habe.
Indikatoren, Alarme, Templates funktionieren alle so, wie man es sich erwartet. Meine Orders werden (größtenteils) zeitnah gefillt, vor allem
im Forex-Markt. Bei den Aktien-CFDs könnte es durchaus vor allem zu starken Handelszeiten noch schneller gehen, da sind teilweise noch 5-7
Sekunden Verzögerung drin. Von den nervigen Fehlticks ist fast bis gar nichts mehr zu bemerken, die Kurse werden größtenteils sauber dargestellt.

Kurz und gut: Ich sehe eine Plattform vor mir, mit der ich durchaus schon live traden könnte, und wenn dann auch die CFD Orders so schnell gefillt werden wie bei Forex, mache ich mir überhaupt keine Sorgen mehr.

Am Freitag habe ich die Plattform schonmal ein klein wenig mit Scalping im Forex Markt belästigt.
Dabei entstanden ungefähr 25  – teils sinnlose – Trades mit relativ kurzer Haltedauer (der längste lag bei gut 9 Minuten, meistens aber erheblich kürzer). Interessanterweise wurde die Orderverarbeitung im Laufe des Tests gefühlt langsamer. Dadurch kam es dann im Verlauf bei den einzelen Trades – trotz eines relativ ruhigen Marktes – immerwieder zu Slippages von 1-2 Pips. Positiv zu vermerken ist, dass es bisher kein einziges mal Requotes gegeben hat (Scalper im FX Markt kennen das Problem…).
Eventuell spielt da dann eben die Geschwindigkeit der Orderverarbeitung eine Rolle. Mehr kann ich hoffentlich in meinem nächsten Blogeintrag dazu schreiben, da ich die Plattform bis dahin noch eingehender damit “ärgern” werde.

Trotz der etwas erhöhten Tradezahl – die nur mit Market Ordern umgesetzt wurde – gab es wie oben bereits erwähnt keinerlei sonstige Probleme mit der Platform. Das freut sich doch das Testerherz

Eigentlich bin ich damit jetzt schon am Ende meines Blog Eintrages, damit der aber diesmal nicht so arg kurz ausfällt möchte ich noch eine Lanze für das Scalpen im FX-Markt brechen.

Immerwieder höre ich – durchaus auch von namenhaften Tradern – dass dies im Forex Bereich nicht möglich sei. Aus diesem Grund stelle ich hier mal ein System vor welches aber eben in diesen Zeiteinheiten handelbar ist. Bei Interesse an diesem Thema kann dies so ein jeder in seinem Demokonto nachvollziehen und sich seine persönliche Meinung  bilden. Alle im System enthalten Indikatoren/ Einstellungen sind ohne Modifikationen so bereits im Metatrader von  Hanseatic enthalten, also Demokonto eröffnen und lostesten.
Es sind verschiedeneste Zeitfenster bei dieser Strategie möglich, dieses Beipiel hier bezieht sich auf den 1 Minuten Chart.

Benötigt wird:
- Heinkin Ashi Chart
- 2 mal CCI (bitte einen auf 17 und einen auf 34 Perioden einstellen)
- RSI (bitte auf 10 Perioden einstellen)

Einstieg long:
-auf eine rote Kerze folgt eine weiße – nach Abschluss ! der weißen Kerze wird die long Position eröffnet wenn
-beide CCI über der Nulllinie sind und
-der RSI über 55 notiert

Eintieg short.
-auf eine weiße Kerze folgt eine rote Kerze – nach ! Abschluss der roten Kerze wird die short Position eröffnet wenn
-beide CCI unter der Nullline sind und
-der RSI unter 45 notiert

Stop Loss / Ausstieg:
-der Initial Stop liegt 6 bis maximal 12 Pips vom Einstieg entfernt (je nach Vola die zur Zeit vorherrscht, bei wirklich extremer Vola sollte man zudem von diesem System komplett Abstand nehmen)
-wird der Inital Stop im Idealfall nicht gerissen erfolgt der Austieg nach Abschluß einer wiederum andersfarbigen Kerze
(also Longausstieg wenn eine rote Kerze vollendet ist, beim Shortaustieg vice versa mit der weißen Kerze)

Zusätzlich sollte man dieses System auf keinen Fall während einer Newsveröffentlichungen nutzen !

Sinnvoll ist eine Pause genauso wenn gerade viele neue Teilnehmer dazu kommen und der Markt sich ggf. neu orientieren muss (z.B. Eröffnung US-Aktien Handel um 15:30 Uhr). Ideal sind somit Zeiten in denen in London/ Europa gehandelt wird, sowie – anch einer Pause – die USA noch dazugekommen sind.
Ab ca. 20 Uhr wird es dann oftmals wieder bis zum nächsten Tag…Scalping braucht halt möglichst viel Liquidität in den Märkten. Diese Umstände tragen auch dazu bei, dass man dieses System nicht so einfach in einen vollautomatischen EA packen kann.

Selbstverständlich sind Spread sowie Ausführungsqualität bei so einem System  sehr wichtig.

Da es sich bei diesem System um einen Trendfolger handelt kann man bei Bedarf auch noch die Trendrichtung aus einem übergeordneten Zeitfenster als Filter genutzt werden (Trades nur in Folge des übergeordneten Trends…) Natürlich gibt es auch hier genug Trades die nicht funktionieren werden, wie das halt so bei jedem System und bei Trendfolgern insbesondere ist.

Zur Veranschaulichung habe ich unten einen aktuellen GBP/USD 1 Minuten Chart von diesem Freitag  – 20.11.2009 ca. von 16:30 bis 19:45 Uhr – eingefügt.  Genauso hätte ich auch ein beliebiges anderes Beipiel wählen können, aber dies ist halt gerade aktuell und zeigt sowohl Trades die funktioniert hätten als auch welche bei denen das eben nicht der Fall ist.

Natürlich gibt es auchnoch haufenweise andere Ansätze um im Forex Markt zu scalpen, allerdings denke ich dass es mehr als reicht wenn ich euch jetzt hier mit einem davon zugeschwallert habe

So, jetzt ist auch einem sehr kurzem ein sehr langer Beitrag geworden…vielleicht findet es ja trotzdem wer interessant^^

Emas kembali ke rekor di atas $ 1.160 per ons pada hari Senin setelah reli dolar kehabisan tenaga, harga minyak yang kuat dibangkitkan kekhawatiran inflasi, dan penurunan saham AS mengaduk keraguan tentang prospek ekonomi.

Bullion, yang telah memperoleh sekitar 32 persen sejauh ini pada tahun 2009, terjadi serangkaian seumur hidup tertinggi pada bulan November akibat sentimen berubah sangat bullish setelah India memperoleh 200 ton dari logam mulia dari Dana Moneter Internasional.
Emas diperdagangkan pada $ 1,162.85 per ounce jam 1054 WIB, naik $ 14,65 per ons dari penutupan New York’s pada hari Jumat. Menghantam rekor lain pada $ 1,164.35 pada perdagangan tipis juga didorong oleh teknis bullion membeli setelah melampaui catatan sebelumnya.

Harga minyak naik di atas $ 78 per barel pada Senin akibat peningkatan ketegangan antara Iran dan negara-negara Barat mengangkat spekulasi atas potensi berisikonya pasokan, mendorong investor untuk mendorong harga lebih tinggi.

Harga juga didukung oleh melemahnya dolar AS, mengikuti komentar dovish dari bank sentral AS dan peningkatan emas ke rekor baru setelah kekhawatiran terhadap inflasi dan mempercepat pertumbuhan ekonomi yang lemah mendorong investor untuk mengurangi risiko. Saham sumber daya yang lebih tinggi membantu meningkatkan saham Asia.

US crude untuk pengiriman Januari naik 71 sen menjadi $ 78,18 per barel jam 1116 WIB. Kontrak Desember, yang berakhir pada hari Jumat, menetap 74 sen pada $ 76,72 per barel, terbebani oleh dolar yang lebih kuat dan kekhawatiran tentang prospek permintaan energi. London Brent crude meningkat 75 sen ke $ 77,95.

Global gold price graph still catches most of the headlines .Some say it has successfully moved into the orbit of a much overbought situation and the correction is over due. For others the price will continue to grow and grow.

 The bottom-line is that the US dollar continues to stay on a downward sliding trajectory, providing a price push to a range of commodities besides gold. Gold has become an economic god and slowly emerging as global currency in the contextof  impending asset related bubbles and the weakening of the dollar. Gold has emerged over the past one year as an effective economic bet with huge value potential.

 Gold still remains an enigma to all around the globe. Even the best brains around world could hardly think today’s situation some couple of years ago. Gold is moving slowly but surely higher. But punters also underline The Three Triggers of the Global Gold Bubble.

  The International Monetary Fund has sold 200 tones of gold to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for $6.7 billion, quietly executing half of a long-planned bullion sale that has threatened to slow gold’s ascent. (Why is India buying IMF gold?)

The deal will increase India’s gold holdings to the tenth largest among central banks. The Reserve Bank of India paid an average of $1,045 an ounce for the IMF gold, according to a fund official. The $6.7 billion purchase increased its holdings to about 557.7 tonnes.

 China, the world’s second-biggest gold consumer has increased its gold reserves by 76 per cent since 2003, to 1,054 tonnes, the official Xinhua News Agency reported in April.

 Global experts’ however feel that Gold still has a long way to go.

If inflation expectations remain “contained” why is a record amount of money pouring into commodities this year? Indeed, nothing like a rapidly increasing global supply of paper currency to drive up the prices of hard assets.

Reuters summarizes a recent research report from Barclays on investment flows into commodities:

“Barclays Capital’s figures showed strong inflows in October continuing into November with total money into commodities year-to-date already approaching a record $55 billion, displacing the previous record of $51 billion in 2006.”

Ingredients:
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon water
4 cups dry, quick-cooking oatmeal
1/2 cup raisins or coconut flakes

Directions:
1. Stir oil, brown sugar, and water together in a large cook skillet.
