I was having an issue selecting an item from my tree dynamically upon refreshing it’s dataProv

I was having an issue selecting an item from my tree dynamically upon refreshing it’s dataProvider.

Steps:
On initialize, I dispatch a CairngormEventDispatcher which fills an ArrayCollection with Objects:

myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC = new ArrayCollection();
for each ( var object : myObjectVO in data.result )
{

myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC.addItem( object );

}
myModelLocator.mySelectedTreeItem = myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC.getItemAt( 0 ) as myObjectVO;

I then set myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC as the dataProvider for my Tree and myModelLocator.mySelectedTreeItem as the selectedItem for my Tree. Every time I select an item from my Tree, I update the selectedItem in my ModelLocator:

myModelLocator.mySelectedTreeItem = myTree.selectedItem;

I [Bind] components throughout my application to myModelLocator.mySelectedTreeItem. When myModelLocator.mySelectedTreeItem is updated, my components are also updated.

I added a refresh button that when clicked, dispatches once again my CairngormEventDispatcher and updates myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC and myModelLocator.mySelectedTreeItem. My Tree is automatically updated as it’s dataProvider is [Binded] to myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC. My components are also automatically updated as they are [Binded] to myModelLocator.mySelectedTreeItem but my Tree selection disappears.

Breakdown:
Even though ‘myModelLocator.mySelectedTreeItem‘ had the same UID as the object in ‘myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC‘, the Tree wasn’t able to map it because the reference of the ArrayCollection ‘myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC‘ was changed upon refresh:

myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC = new ArrayCollection();

Lesson learned:
When using a [Bindable] ArrayCollection as the dataprovider for a Tree, never set = new ArrayCollection() to refresh the ArrayCollection with new Objects received from the backend. Since you would want to keep the same reference, simply remove all the Objects and then re-fill the ArrayCollection:

if ( myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC === null )
{

myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC = new ArrayCollection();

}
else
{

myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC.removeAll();

}
for each ( var object : myObjectVO in data.result )
{

myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC.addItem( object );

}
myModelLocator.mySelectedTreeItem = myModelLocator.myTreeProviderAC.getItemAt( 0 ) as myObjectVO;

Thorite has teamed up with Norgren to produce a free guide to energy saving. The guide demonstrates how to cut waste and increase compressed-air-usage efficiency, with the resulting cash savings clearly laid out. An energy and safety section also shows how components fitted for safety reasons, such as preset regulators and shut off valves, can also make important contributions to energy savings.

Many people in industry wrongly assume that compressed air is a cheap, or even free, source of power. This is not the case, with numerous independent studies confirming that industry wastes around 30 per cent of the compressed air it generates. In a typical 1,000cfm workshop installation this equates to GBP12,000 a year.

Compressed-air wastage results from leakage, misuse, over pressurisation, pressure drop, inefficient generation, lack of maintenance and poor installation engineering. The solutions to each problem are explained in the guide, with the expense of carrying out remedial work shown and the savings highlighted. The guide is available from any of Thorite’s nine regional sales and service centres in Yorkshire, Lancashire and the North East, or can be ordered from the company website.

Jeepers creepers where’d ya get those peepers. The pair on the left must be Benders eyes. The thing right above them might be an optocoupler, don’t know. The black cylinders on the right have three leads coming out of each end. Transistor optoisolators I suppose. Some interesting ones above them. The most interesting are the tube based ones at the top. I was considering using one for the light guide clock, to control the brightness of the display, but decided against it. When I find parts like this, it compels me to make something interesting. What; I don’t know yet. Any ideas?

A good way of working out how to make things work was to see how others had done it, and how the parts worked. The following sites and resources may be invaluable to that end:

SBMCC

Rainbow

O’Leary

Build your own Motorcaravan

UK Motorhomes

DIY VW Conversion

The other way to learn how things work is to take them apart. An well-loved donor touring caravan is an excellent source of cheap parts for a motorhome and also to discover how components work together in a mobile living space.

Finally, you should spend a fair bit of time looking at both professional van conversions for sale on Autotrader and Gumtree, and at the pictures on the Wicked Campers site (last time I was in New Zealand I rented a camper from them for a week, which partly inspired the end paint job – or lack of – and there’s a gallery of some here).

The units and bed were built from MDF and plywood. 12mm MDF was used for the units, which was easy to cut with a hand, circular and jigsaw, and 18mm plywood was used for the bed. A few lengths of 12×12mm and 24×24mm pine were needed to support elements of the units and bed. The front piece of the bed had two steel legs screwed to it, which were £3 each from B&Q. The timber cost around £90 from a local mercant using a trade account, but if it was bought at B&Q it would have probably only cost another £30.

Suppliers for the fridge were researched. Rainbow and O’Leary’s were comparable on price to the local caravan supplies store for the 3-way 240v/12v/LPG 40litre fridge that was bought, but there were cheaper 12v-only alternatives (see comparison chart). Being top-opening, this was fitted on 2-way runners, so it could be accessed both inside the van (forward of the sink which it is stowed under) and outside (from the side door).

The SMEV sink was second-hand but unused from a car-boot sale aimed at caravaners (Livingston, EH54). At £40 it was a bargain – especially as it came with a 12v pump, and would have cost over £100 otherwise from Rainbow or O’Leary’s. Sufficient domestic plumbing supplies were available as leftovers from a recent domestic kitchen being fitted, so again you don’t always need the specialist parts to get the job done.

The hob and grill are a standard Royale camping set-up, for which a special shelf was built for within the units configuration. A channel was made for the pipe back to the regulator and gas bottle stowed on the outside (door side) of the units. A note of caution though: reading ‘the’ book, gas cyclinders must be stowed in a special case within the van, so this setup wouldn’t be compliant. Drop-out gas holes in the floor are also required. Amdro get around this by using an alcohol-fuelled stove, but this doesn’t have the grill facility.

“DryLin R” linear plain bearings from igus GmbH, Cologne, are lubricant-free, robust and corrosion resistant. The linear bearings with highly wear-resistant polymers are replacing metallic bushings in numerous cases. Maintenance intervals are shortened, service life increased.

A few examples
In a seat cover testing machine belonging to the American automotive components supplier, Lear Corporation in Allershausen, the “DryLin R” flange bearings have been in use without any failures for more than one and a half years. The load exerted on them is high in both Y and Z direction, and normally runs at a short stroke, (10 to max. 40 mm). In contrast, the linear guidance systems used before had to be replaced after only three months.

An even more drastic example can be found at a rubber factory in Gießen, Poppe Gummiwarenfabrik. Here, ball linings used in a cutting unit for rubber hoses failed after six months. The main reason was because of heavy talcum soiling. In the meantime, self-adjusting “DryLin R” linear plain bearings have been doing the job without any problems whatsoever for the past five years now.
Another prime example is The Austrian Montan University in Leoben, Steiermark. Here, the decision was taken to use linear plain bearings in a stone cutting machine used to saw enormous stone blocks after bearing guides had previously failed.

Picture: igus GmbH, Cologne. “DryLin R” linear plain bearings from igus GmbH, Cologne, are lubricant-free, robust and corrosion resistant. The dimensions correspond to those of linear ball linings.

“DryLin R”: Wear-resistant polymers especially for linear technology
“DryLin R” linear plain bearings from igus are based on highly wear-resistant polymers developed especially for linear technology. The standard gliding films are made of “iglidur J” material for excellent gliding friction coefficients, the high-temperature gliding films made of “iglidur X” ensure use with a long-term application temperature of up to 250°C. The dimensions of linear plain bearings are compatible with those of linear ball linings. DryLin bearings run on standard round shafts, and can be used with virtually any shaft material.

Built to last and corrosion-free due to special design
The special geometry makes “DryLin R” linear bearings robust even in heavy-duty environments, and ensures a very high level of safety even when running in coarse dirt. The design of the bearing surface with individual bridges and the interruptions in between is particularly advantageous here – as is the fact that no lubricant is required. Even if damp dirt does get onto the shaft, it is wiped off by the individual slide ways and pushed back into the contactless paths. The bridges of the bearing surfaces then slide over the path, which has been wiped free of all soiling.
The “DryLin R” range comprises gliding films and press-in bushings, linear plain bearings, housing bearings, flange housings as well as slides and linear housings. Suitable shafts and supported shafts as well as yokes and shaft brackets are also available ex stock.

A parameter is not a component, but this is the first post in an effort to use words to describe what I have clearly in my mind relating to the creation of new settlements. Here I simply want to begin noting parameters of such settlements.

1. They will contain within their bounds most if not all the elements of ecological sustainability. Their own recycling capacity for all or most waste. Collection and distribution and recycling of water. The elements we associated with ”green” communities. It is important to understand that we are talking about creating duplicable elements that could be used in many settlements.

2. They will have no private automobiles and trucks within their borders. Most transportation will be pedestrian with all mechanized transportation limited to public and service vehicles. Communities will be designed to make access to private vehicles possible only outside of their boundaries. Important that this not be seen as a complete rejection of private vehicles. They will have a place, but they will not dictate design as they now do.

More parameters will be discussed in future posts, setting the stage for a discussion of actual components.. In essence, the parameters will be suggestive of the components.

Introduction Workflow Foundation [WF] contains lot of components that works hand in hand to execute

Introduction

Workflow Foundation [WF] contains lot of components that works hand in hand to execute workflow. WF is the pillar over which we are going to build out workflow application. Microsoft has come up with a modular approach so that we can use individual features at users will. For example we can say some components used at design phase alone and there are some other components which exist throughout the lifetime of workflow.

Most of the capabilities are implemented as pluggable component that can replaced by custom user code. The Figure 1.1 displays major components of WF

Figure 1.1 – WF Component Categories

Class Libraries + Framework

The class libraries include all the base classes and interfaces used to develop workflow application. They are the basic building blocks. For example all Activities
are derived from base class Activity in System.Workflow.ComponentModel
namespace. Microsoft provides users with predefined activities by extending this base class.

There are some other classes like WorkflowRuntime derived from System.Workflow.Runtime.Hosting namespace which can monitor and control execution of workflow.

WF framework help user to follow a predefined procedure to achieve required workflow and it handles routine tasks associated with a workflow enabled application.

Some of the WF namespaces are shown below

Runtime Engine

WF contain core runtime engine represented by WorkflowRuntime
class. It is not a self contained application. So we need a host application to contain this workflow. WorkflowRuntime
provide working environment to WorkflowInstance. WorkflowRuntime has the ability to configure and control workflow.

.NET 3.5 let user use workflow instance as hosted WCF service. User develops a hybrid runtime class named WorkflowServiceHost in System.WorkflowService assembly. This class has basic capability of workflow runtime with ServiceHost
[WCF].

The workflow runtime environment could be described as shown in the Figure 1.2

Figure 1.2 – Workflow Runtime Environment

Runtime Services

Services are class instance that user creates and register with a workflow at start of application. Services are mostly for a specific task/logic. Services can be classified into core and local. Core services are that provided by Microsoft. Services like SqlWorkflowPersistanceService, SqlTrackingService
are example of core services. Local services are user services.

Host application is the one responsible for creating and registering services that runtime requires. Local services and core services are registered to a workflow in the same manner. The interaction between host application, runtime engine and services is shown in Figure 1.3

Figure 1.3 – Interactions between Host application, Runtime Engine and Services

Design Tools

Users can visually design and maintain your workflows. WF design tool included workflow debugger into design tool trough which we can place breakpoints in activities.

.NET 2.0 Runtime

Though WF was introduced with .NET 3.0 it is build on .NET 2.0 CLR. So we can still use the native .NET 2.0 features with WF.

Conclusion

This document gives a bird-eye view on WF components.

1. This amount of hard drive space is good enough for anyone…

It seems that at some point or another, every technology writer or senior figure has doubted whether anyone would need more than a certain amount of capacity in a system. Bill Gates was known to denounce larger disk sizes. IBM once said that homes would not need computers. Whatever. Digital capacity fuels economies of trade in innovation, and people want it too. That myth needs to stay forgotten for the excitement to continue.

2. You can break a computer.
A lot of people in the 1990s and 2000s – including today – believe/d that computers could be broken very easily. Few still do think this. True, parts are now more durable, but it has always been hard to completely kill a whole Mac or PC. The Internet and Genius Bars have also helped pop this myth into non-existence – nowadays spare parts can be gleaned quite easily according to budget.

3. It’s all expense.
In days gone by, a computer cost more to get and run. Even so, that was untrue to a certain extent then. Now, however, this myth has been cleaned away quite thoroughly. The total cost of ownership of a system (TCO) is now quite low, due to freebie software, and people are more creative with finding uses for old devices in a recession – and they publish their findings. Also, the more you pay, the more years you get. True, there’s no such thing as a free lunch, but in computing, that is good in some cases. Free or costly, expense in computers is a myth – normally.

Hand constructed steel as an answer to Taiwanese carbon and robot welded aluminum frames. The Speedmetal interprets the classic steel frame with a wonderful modern outlook, a sleek lightweight frame with deep roots. Made in Germany this has to be one of the nicest steel frames I have seen in a while, and kitted with all those Tune parts makes it that much more desirable. Check out more at the Neueck site, it helps to speak German though.

Technology was suppose to save us time! And that is true for many processes we encounter every day

Technology was suppose to save us time! And that is true for many processes we encounter every day – crunching numbers, finding directory information, researching, word processing, taking pictures and sharing them, etc., technology has made life much easier.

But . . . . go outside the main stream services and products just a little and . . . . BANG! . . . . your time disappears into a black hole of technological marvels all telling you what each widget can do. Great!

Lots of great programmers coming up with lots of new tools. What they don’t tell you, are the glitches with applying each one. You have to go here and you have to go there and you have to ask this person and that other support person and then you have to ask more questions (because they know their stuff but you don’t know what they know) - the time consumption is horrendous! And, of course, you find out in articles that if you happen to pick the wrong basic thing and combine it with another wrong basic thing, you’ll have to start all over again!!!

The industry is so segmented and each component is so specialized, there’s no one out there thinking through the business aspects and linking everything. – oh – correction – there could be – but another chunk of hours trying to find them because you’re likely not using the right terminology! . . . .I could be asking for an orange but I was suppose to ask for a navel orange . . . !!!!

Yes, it’s okay to have specializations – it’s necessary – the same as a mall – you have a clothing store, a shoe store, a drug store, a grocery store but they are all linked into one common thread – shopping and there’s a path from store to store. Stores display their wares – warts and all – and store people help you figure out if something is right or wrong for you.

For instance, someone told me to start a blog on WordPress so I did and I have found it to be a very interesting process. Because I’m learning, I have been doing a lot of research and am now starting to understand how I turn blogging into an on-line business.

So, I think up an idea, I want to try it only to find out that I cannot do that on .com but I need to go now to .org of the same name company - huh???? For non-techie’s, this simply doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. Why not just simply include it in upgrades and make it seamless for the consumer.

So now I have to figure out the difference between the two, find a web host, download .org software, and I’m on my own for all kinds of things like controlling spam. Makes no sense at all to me.

If I were the company, I’d make it possible to add on some widgets on the sidebar the same as Blogger does – I don’t have to go to Blogger.org to do it – and I still get all the same coverage as just the regular old Blogger – simple – easy!

I have spent hours now talking to AWebber who are so terrific in explaning technology easily and making their services so user friendly, it’s incredible! If all online services studied AWebber about how to explain their to services to clients and how to make their product easy to use as well as how to use their product with other products, then all of this process would be simple. AWebber know their stuff and are willing to help – they know they are the technology experts and the people using their services are often not nor do clients have the time to “figure it all out”.

So, the moral of the story – technology can chew up time like there is no tomorrow. If you are entering into a new part of the technology world, expect to spend a huge amount of time sorting what’s what and practically becoming a techie yourself.

It’s like this – getting into new technology is like buying a car in parts – you have to research and pick your own body, engine, drive shaft, transmission, ignition, etc and understand what each part does, figure out if they are compatible and then you have to put it together yourself, do the mechanical repairs yourself and monitor your car with all kinds of gadgets to make sure it’s all working properly! Oh, yes, and you’d have to know little tricks too like adding the transmission fluid – if you didn’t know these tiny little facts that likely no parts person would tell you, your transmission won’t work! If anyone had to buy a car this way, there would be few people buying cars – in fact, the car industry would likely never sold a one!

They say, well, there are techies who can help you. Ah . . . . but . . . . that’s a whole other story altogether – which one? for what purpose? Unlike a car, there is no car mechanic who knows all the systems, how they are all work together and how to fix problems. No, in technology, even for a small thing like a small website, you need a designer, a graphic designer, a SEO expert, and the list goes on for just a simple website.

  Yes, you say, well get one already made. Really? Then, you have to figure out if the the company which is offering these “ready mades” will stay in business, are they reputable, do they offer large enough bandwidth, the amount of downtime they experience or not and the list goes on and on and on and on. And, when you do arrive at the be all and end all of prefab websites, then you have to figure out all the plugins, shopping cards, merchant accounts, entering new products, creating new descriptions, uploading pictures (& hosting picture), and, there again, the list goes on and on and on. See a Yahoo store – so popular today and some of the best prefabs you can get - but it takes 1Choice 4 You – a whole company – to help you put it together properly so it all works as well as possible! Great looking stores – prefab – but, again, it chews up time like mad! Yes, it’s true – you can go to forums and blogs and get help – guess what??? More time is chewed up finding the good forums/blogs/etc. . . . .

And that time doesn’t include all the other things you need to do in order to give it your best shot at creating a viable business – business plans, product sourcing, capitalization, newsletters, customer service, etc. etc. etc.

You say, well, if you had a brick and mortar store, you’d have to do leasehold improvements too – maybe – and once done, it was done – not so with websites – you continually have to work on them and keep them fresh. Then you have to be connected to Twitter, Facebook, LindedIn – then you have webcasts, podcasts, webinars, etc. And you have to intergrate all the old fashioned stuff too into your business plan - and both kinds – traditional paper and untraditional online advertising and promotion!

We are so connected to the internet now and the industry is still so “unconnected”, the challenges for the average person are overwhelming not to mention trying to understand lingo and instructions that don’t work because they missed a few steps that “you, the customer, should have known”.

Lots of great people in the industry – great online help in some cases – but if they only could sit where I sit and so many other people are sitting, they would be amazed at the maze created by the internet and technology. It’s no wonder that many people just sparingly use the internet for find a phone number or get an answer to a question but to actually use the internet in any other way for most people is very, very difficult and time consuming.

For instance, if my blogging software company just made a “mall” type service as its business, it could be making a lot of money. A person shouldn’t have to know from the beginning that there are 2 different categories of – .com and .org and that each allow the user to do different things. Make it one company – one thing - then offer people options as people who choose to grow with the software can take advantage of.

Yes, the Support at has been terrific in answering questions but after 3 days I still have no idea what the transfer will take in order to do what I want to do. It should be seamless – what I want to do is so simple, it should be seamless and should really take no more than a few clicks to accomplish – it’s just a matter of adding an opt in box onto my blog – simple. Over 3 days of trying to get that done and I’m still nowhere! All I wanted was to put an opt in box on my blog from AWebber! That’s all – and all of this for just that!

So . . . small business people . . . be prepared for a long haul or throw money at it – and, then, again, you’ll have to make sure the money goes to the right people to do right things for what you want – in addition to just regular ‘getting into business’ processes. Prepare for one heck of a journey!

Many people dream of having amazing adventures like one might see in the movies. Other vacationers decide to vacation at the same unadventurous location. If you are looking for a change from the ordinary and want to bring some real adventure into your life, you might want to consider taking an adventure tour for your next vacation. An adventure tour can be made up of a number of different components, but the end result is that you get to explore the best that the world has to offer in a hands-on way. Keep in mind that adventure tours are not for everyone; read these examples of common adventure tour components to see if one is right for you and your family.

Most adventure tours involve hiking at one point or another, generally in conjunction with camping. Some of the hikes may be relatively short, serving as a down-to-earth method of transportation between larger components of the tour. Other hikes can be quite long, comprising a major part of the tour’s attraction. Many of the longer hikes have basic recommendations for your fitness level or they may ill require that you have a certain amount of hiking experience before you take them simply because the distances would be difficult for an out of shape individual to cover safely and in time with the rest of the group.

White water rafting is a common component of an adventure tour. Tours exist that take you on all grades of rivers, though the higher grades usually require a certain amount of rafting experience, which helps prevent you from being a danger to yourself and others. Some tours may even take you across different grades on different days, letting you build up experience over the course of the tour, allowing you to be ready for larger rapids later. Most rafting tours involve camping and may include hikes in between river sections as well.

Although not as common as rafting, a number of tours include a kayaking component as well. A number of these tours are featured in Alaska, where kayaking has somewhat of a cultural component; Alaskan kayak tours are often done in the open ocean. Kayaking is generally not the largest component of the tour, though dedicated kayaking tours do exist.

Another element that is incorporated into a number of adventure tours is rock climbing or rappelling. There is a larger element of danger involved with rock climbing than with a standard hiking tour, but the sense of accomplishment and adventure is well worth it. Many adventure tours that feature rock climbing or rappelling are centered in mountainous regions where climbing may be the primary focus of the tour. There are some hiking tours, which feature rock climbing as just a single component of the tour.

Other extreme sports may also be featured in adventure tours, though they are not as common as the elements that have already be mentioned. Some adventure tours incorporate bungee jumping, cliff diving, hang gliding, and similar activities in addition to hiking and more common components. Finding these tours may be a bit more difficult than finding a basic hiking tour, but if you are looking for a major thrill, these tours can definitely provide that extra sense of excitement.

It should be noted that not all adventure tours are wilderness based; many adventure tour companies have packages, which allow you to experience the adventures of modern life. Tours can go to cities like Las Vegas and San Francisco are relatively common, and some of them even manage to mix city entertainment components with wilderness adventure in the outlying natural parks as well. Other tours are based out of an RV, which you take from one location to the next for each daily event. Some adventure tours contain components such as paintball or other team competitions as well. These are all exciting activities, which are excellent if you are looking to escape from the traditional trip to the beach. Although these may not be as relaxing as the beach, they sure provide excitement and a new thrill to your life.

Regardless of which type of adventure tour you choose, you can expect to have a great time while on the tour. Many adventure tours consist of hiking and camping, but they may also have secondary components such as kayaking and rock climbing. If these are not what you are looking for, there are adventure tours that include extreme sports such as bungee jumping, cliff diving or hang-gliding. The length of the tours can vary from 2-3 days to up to 2 weeks or more, so you should be able to find a tour that meets your exact requirements. If you are looking for a non-traditional vacation, it is highly recommended to try an adventure vacation because it provides an experience that should last a lifetime.

In an upcoming special edition of the Centralia Sentinal, we will be featured along with other St. Rose area businesses. The following is the article that will be published.

“The Rehkemper name has been associated with St. Rose and the construction industry since 1868 when Herman and Anna Maria Rehkemper emigrated from Delbruck, Germany and settled in St. Rose. The small community saw the need for Herman’s ability as a carpenter and as a coffin maker. Being the local coffin maker led to being the local funeral director. This family tradition continued for over 100 years and ended in 1981.

             The family also followed the construction trade in St. Rose and the surrounding communities erecting many homes and farm buildings. By the 1930’s Frank Rehkemper was the family member as a carpenter/builder. As four of his five sons followed him in the trade, they were known as quality builders.

             In 1975 Frank’s son Jerome decided that the family construction business should expand to include the manufacture of roof trusses. This portion of the business expanded to include the manufacture of floor trusses. Today Rehkemper & Son, Inc. can furnish complete framing packages including wood floor trusses, wall panels, and roof trusses along with all the necessary accessories. The company in 1993 expanded to include another manufacturing facility at Litchfield, IL, and now operates both St. Rose and Litchfield facilities.

             The company has in-house designers capable of designing roof and floor trusses to meet all building codes; and, can produce custom home plans to suit the customers’ wishes. Rehkemper and Son, Inc. also build roof trusses and wall panels using light steel.

             The company transports all of it’s products on it’s own diverse fleet of trucks including tractors, straight trucks, truck mounted cranes, and flat bed trailers. Some of the products can range from 14’ 6” wide to 80 feet long, requiring special state(s) permits. The company operates primarily in a 150-mile radius of St. Rose and Litchfield Illinois including the metro St. Louis area.

             Rehkemper & Son, Inc. incorporated ecological practices in its daily routine. All scrap wood is salvaged; some being remanufactured as “finger-jointed” lumber, and other offal and sawdust is ground to a consist any suitable for animal bedding. Other products available from Rehkemper are; heavy timber trusses, engineered lumber and the associated accessories, and Rehkemper also operated floor-covering stores at St. Rose and New Baden, IL, offering a complete line of carpet, ceramic, wood and resilient flooring. They also have excellent installers available.”

We also have some exciting news in the flooring area of our business. We recently aquired the new Disney line from Shaw. Rehkemper Tile and Floor is one of only 2 locations in southern Illinois to have this display. Come by our New Baden location and take a look. They are priced very reasonably. Rehkemper Tile and Floor, 7551A State Route 160, New Baden, IL 62265. 618-588-4236.

Kara Ginther is an artist who specializes in carved and embellished leather; and particularly, the embellishment of some fine Brooks saddles. I assume the paint would wear off over time, however the ones that are simply carved should be no problem, time would probably only add character to the design. These would look amazing on some nice show bikes at the NAHBS, so hopefully we will see one of these beauties on some nice classic steel (hint, hint builders).
