Although a bit difficult to comprehend for the average consumer, this new collaboration between the Keith Haring Foundation and PROPER ATTIRE makes a bit more sense to those who followed the life of late artist Keith Haring. Honoring World AIDS Day, a new set of Keith Haring for PROPER ATTIRE condoms look to premiere December 1, 2009 at the exclusive Mondrian in South Beach throughout Art Basel and at the Mondrian in Los Angeles in the new Kiki Di Montparnasse store.

This was another assignment in which one truly had to think outside of the box.  I was somewhat confused about what it required, as at the end of one class meeting, the professor asked us to bring found objects to class with us to our next meeting.  Some of us brought a random object or objects with us, while others went all out and it took us two class meetings to actually get to the actual presentations of found the found objects that a few of my classmates presented.  During that time, our professors posted more information about the assignment and a few of my classmates created interesting, thought provoking and even controversial visual essays with “found” materials and objects.  I call these visual essays because, in my opinion, that is precisely what they are.  The class arrived at various conclusions upon seeing and taking in these visual statements, which then lead to thought provoking discussions on various current and past events and issues.  All four visual essays generated varied and interesting responses and did more to generate discussion, thought and insight than a text essay on the same subjected could have generated.

Here are four of the visual essays that were created or “repurposed” with “found” objects:

The visual essay below was created using a shoe box top, a small statue of the La Virgen de Guadalupe, a bracelet with the image of La Virgen and the pieces of the Mexican version of bingo called Lotería.  The classmate who repurposed found objects and created this visual essay did so as sort of an homage to her family and cultural heritage.  For her, this was all about family, traditions and what she holds dear.

Much has been said about cutting the Arts from public schools and the visual essay below was aimed at this ongoing issue.  The classmate who created this visual essay took an old, broken dance shoe that once belonged to her daughter, a broken woodwind instrument reed (looked like it was for either a clarinet or saxophone to me), the horn of a clarinet and a water globe depicting a piano and musical notes that her sister had from a trip to the famed Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee.  With the exception of the water globe, the brokenness of all the other pieces, as they relate to Arts education, especially in American public schools, speak for themselves.

The visual essay below was one of the two most eye catching (in my opinion again) of the visual essays.  We were presented with an average, used checkerboard along with a condom (which I was assured was not used-LOL!) and a nipple from a baby’s bottle and upon first glance I think we all thought, What? What is this?  And then the connection between two contending forces clicked.  The purpose of one object is to sustain life while the purpose of the other is to prevent it.  Or could it be that the purpose of the condom is to sustain the life of a person who is not ready for a child, but also has to contend with natural, biological urges?  This visual essay could lead to all kinds of discussions on birth control and nurturing life.

The final visual essay presented in this post is the one that stirred up a somewhat heated debate and left most of the people in the room feeling a bit uncomfortable.  In fact, I think everyone (with the exception of the creator of this visual essay) agreed that this image was disturbing, as we watched the creator of this visual essay pour bullets from a cereal box into a small, child sized bowl.  However, prior to the explanation from the author of this piece, the meanings or conclusions derived from this work were interesting.  Some saw it as a statement about war and the toll that war has and continues to take on children and youth.  Others saw it as a statement about violence among youth.  However, being that I know a little bit about him, I saw it as a reflection of the values of the author and perhaps his own aspirations for himself and his young son.  My interpretation turned out to be closest to the author’s intent.  The creator of this visual essay is a gun enthusiast as well as a proud and loving father.   He explained that for him, gun ownership is not only a constitutional right, but it is also a natural part of life (hence the cereal brand), which he hoped to one day share with his son.

Advice for the Historical Fiction Author Who Desires to Include Condoms in a Sex Scene (yes, that’s actually what it’s called.)

So, I know this month’s Cosmo Says is fashionably late (blame it on a premature reaction to Tryptophan), but it’s here now. And you should be happy because not only was the December issue chock full of goodies, but now you have something to distract you while your little cousins run around your house screaming and you attempt to digest that 3lbs of stuffing you just inhaled.

There was an equally awesome/puzzling interview with Fergie (she looks great, poses in yoga moves and has dachshunds). The gift guide contained about 70% of my Christmas list (srsly, check out the Smashbox brushes on p. 100). There were tons of adorable mini skirts, and a ridiculous article where two guys keep diaries for 10 days about everything that goes through their minds. Spoiler alert: These guys think about sex a lot. These guys also happen to write exactly like Cosmo staffers. Hmm…

The crown jewel of the entire issue, though, had to be “Hidden Secrets His Hug Reveals.” Apparently, a hug can mean more than “not just a handshake, not quite a kiss.” Enjoy what Cosmo has to say about:

Cosmo says: If he encircles you from behind, he’s totes “blanketing your body” with his love. Unless he does it all the time—then he’s too much of a pansy to hug you from the front.

Kari Says: Actually, I can see my back, thanks to strategically placed mirrors I use to straighten this one crazy piece of hair at the back of my head… Anyways, whenever I get a back rub, it’s usually because I explicitly asked for it, but my second assumption would definitely be horniness. And I’m not sure how to differentiate between the varieties of back rubbing (counterclockwise if he’s horny? Above the 5^th vertebrae if he’s nurturing), but for future reference, I’ll try to make sure he doesn’t look sad while he’s doing it.

In all seriousness though, the only semblance of rationality I can take away from this analysis is that if you don’t know him that well, pat = bad. If he’s your 5 star chick (or whatever the male equivalent of that is) pat = neutral…or ADD.

Here’s the next podcast of the Celtic Rebel v/w Stygian Port “Dinner With Andros” series [in stereo]. I liked what Lenon Honor had to say on the subject of prayer in one of his video series. He views it as an “energy transference.” By “praying” to some gods we know little of, we feed them, and give them our power. As I’ve been saying, I’m done giving away my power to gods and men. I’m getting the fuck out of this box, and when I do, I’m gonna start taking some of that power back. The Gods better start praying they don’t meet me in the great beyond, lest I sodomize them.

Well, at least they, the hand-maidens of the gods, have a sense of humor; a sick twisted sense of humor, but funny nonetheless. Just this week, my sister reminded me of the South Park episode (“Goobacks“) where in order to change the future (the shape of things to come), the men choose to become gay en masse. Matter of factly, one character states, “We are trying to turn everyone gay so there are no future humans.” In the face of revelation, our laughter is our consent.

Adding to the musical train theme, from my youth, I recall all the media-fed zombie boys who boasted of “running the train” on some girl. Oh you silly boys: to properly form a train, each boxcar needs to be able to couple with the car in front of and behind it. If you don’t understand that yet, don’t worry, you will soon enough.

Stygian after previewing this asked about all the Train songs, and how many more I had. Answer: plenty more where those came from [and none are from the imbecile "run the train" genre]. For example: the Clash’s “Train in Vain” would now be relevant. Oh, and pay close attention to the “Jumping Someone Else’s Train” lyrics; they are equivalent to Howard Biel’s speech from the last podcast [3].

Hm, so train, outside of the last one bound for heaven, the one all you need is [blind] faith to board, also has multiple meanings. Aside from the rear-entry position favored by dogs, and the back-door method, favored by nearly everyone now, it also suggests to “indoctrinate/teach” as one might a pet, or a slave.

Formally defined: “to develop or form the habits, thoughts, or behavior of (a child or other person) by discipline and instruction.”

Thanks to B.L.Donnelly, who raised a good point about the propagation of mind-limiting propaganda, I feel I should start using the phrase “body energy field” instead of “Chakra System.” Who fathoms the potential of the hand? Indubitably, all general knowledge has been corrupted by the priest class, the servants of the vampiric overlords who’s very existence relies on keeping us forever in the box.

Speaking of “chicken,” The Truman Show may just be worthy of an intimate exploration at some point. For now I’ll just point out a scene that someone really wanted the audience to notice. Carey runs into the twins and twice, they push his shoulder against the advertisement behind him, the camera focused on it.

Who’s the chicken in this situation? We are the chicken. We are the free-range slaves they are addressing (disuccsed in prior article, Statism is Dead vid reaches same conclusion). Just because we’re too blind [via conditioning] to see the chicken-wire, and too ignorant to know it exists, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

From our chicken cage, we go to Nick Cage (as I surmised before, he’s the new Kevin Bacon, connecting every actor to every movie). Though I wrote of National Treasure long ago, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the article, I was but an infant then [in comparison to now]. Speaking of another Nick, the song “Oh Lucy” was done by none other than Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. WTF! Synchronicity?

There’s our dear [¿hm, deer-hoof?] little Angelina Jolie making the V for Vagina sign. Alternately, the Luciferan gesture can be interpreted as “fuck me” or you’re welcome to come get a “piece.” Hm, now the jukebox is playing Elvis Costello crooning, “Get your mind off the sweet behind, of our little angel” [not included].

Further supporting the theory logical fact regarding the gender of “the adversary” is how the temptation of the Jesus is even by Church, ahem, Scholars, called the “Temptation of the Flesh.” Well, unless Jesus was a poofer [which he wasn't, another article in the queue], it’s a safe bet there was vagina and titties involved.

After hearing the Vaganally obsessed Prince sing his praise to “Little Nikki,” I can assume he had some inkling as to, at least, what color car she might drive and why she might “park her car sideways, cause it wouldn’t last” [more on that soon].

Which reminds me, I’m flabbergasted why people are so convinced that “Angels” are good, and “Demons” are bad, or that there’s even the slightest difference between the two. As if before the dawn of time, someone said, OK, all you guys that drink Coke are gonna be on the Devils Team and wear Red, while all you guys that drink Pepsi are gonna play for the Angels and wear White, forever. I guess it was better that than shirts versus skins? Which reminds me, I should probably sodomize a couple of those archangels once I get the hell out of this place.

I tried a condom on for the first time today. The only reason I even have one was because when I was at a pub with my mates a few months back, we ended up talking about sex and stuff for some reason and I mentioned I’d never tried a condom on. One of my friends then gave me one, with an instruction manual leaflet thingy on it, so I could then try one for the first time at some point (not right there and then obviously). Only today did I finally extract it from it’s hiding place and try it on.

All I can say is that I found it very difficult to get it on, it took me several attempts and about three or four minutes to put it on. The main problem was finding out if I had it the right way around, but even when I did, it took me a while to put it on, as it seemed to take much more strength to roll it down that I’d originally anticipated. Luckily for you I won’t go into any more detail on this point, as it’s disgusting, and even worse if my identity is ever discovered.

So yeah, it was an informative experience – I now know how to put a condom on, yay! But it also means I don’t have any condoms now. It doesn’t matter though, I suppose, since it doesn’t look like I’ll be in need of one any time soon.
