“Do not go gentle into that good night…” Instead, GO BOLD!

Make the decision to live out loud in 2010. A truly remarkable life comes from challenging yourself daily to be all that you can be. Average will never do- be extraordinary! Take chances, confront your fears and stop worrying about what other people think. With that in mind, what will you do to add a BOLD dimension to your life?

Lead

Become a leader. Start up a group of like-minded individuals or lead a discussion within a group. Think independent, make up your own mind. Don’t be swayed by the general population. Be the one who does the right thing. Be a leader at work and share your ideas. Be a role model, young people may be watching you.

Dream Big

Don’t settle for an average life. Dream big! Take time to think about what you want to accomplish and jot it down. Review your list and add/subtract ideas. Never stop evaluating what you want to accomplish. You do have the right to change your mind. If you are at a loss, check out the book Dream It. List It. Do It! containing over 4000 goal ideas. How successful you will feel crossing off the things you’ve done!

Create

Create something just for you, to share or to make money. The creative process is freedom for the soul. Paint, grow herbs, write a children’s story, build a doghouse,… There is something so rewarding about eating your own veggies or displaying your artwork. DIY (do-it-yourself) instead of spending money. Write your family’s biography and pass it down through the generations.

Seek Answers

Ask questions and research, research, research. You are not expected to know it all but you can always know more. A stagnate person shuns learning and is satisfied with how things are. Don’t be ignorant- read all you can or listen to a book on tape. Exposure to new ideas is the first step in battling discrimination.

Shake Things Up

Do the unexpected. Surprise yourself and those around you. Routines have their place but doing the same thing day after day will not allow for personal growth. Throw a party, go dancing or bowling, plan a romantic dinner for two or reposition your furniture. Even getting a new hair style can change your attitude.

Be Courageous

Stand up for what you believe in or for those who cannot stand up for themselves- children and animals come to mind. Every day, we encounter opportunities to be bold, but hesitate. We don’t want to get involved, it’s not our problem. Next time you see an animal mistreated, call the humane society. Intervene when an adult yells at a child. I believe fear is the #1 reason we aren’t thriving; fear of what others will think or fear that others may cause us harm. Embrace the fear and do the right thing anyway.

Forgive

It’s a bold move to forgive, not just using the words, but actually feeling it. Let go of that baggage and move on. Do you know how much energy it takes to harbor resentment and fuel those feelings of hate? Way too much. Make peace while you can. It will do your heart good.

Accept Responsibility

Realize that you are responsible for your words and actions. If you make a mistake, apologize. It’s a rule you are never too old to follow. We expect children to apologize. Stop blaming your boss, your ex and your child’s teacher. Every time you blame, you are neglecting your responsibility in the situation. How many times have you heard, “My boss expects too much” or “That teacher assigns too much homework?” Stop blaming and start talking- to your boss and the child’s teacher. Get it resolved.

Get Back in Control

You are in control of your life- only you! People can’t “make” you feel bad, only if you allow it. Countless times, I hear someone say, “He/she makes me feel so bad about myself.” 1) What really matters is how you feel about yourself and 2) Cut out those people in your life who criticize, abuse, degrade. Surround yourself with those who love and support you and add a positive quality to your life.

Look for Opportunities

Keep your eyes open. Motivated people have “feelers,” always looking for networking opportunities to promote their business or ideas. Promote yourself- there is no place for subtlety in business. Check out the newspaper for groups to join or meetings to attend. The right venue may help you to find your niche.

Connect

There are so many people in our hometown that can contribute to our lives. Get out there and meet them. People make the world go round. Connect with as many people as possible. You never know when you will need their assistance or they will need yours. Let’s work together to make the world a better, bolder place.

Other BOLD ideas:

Sing karaoke no matter how bad you are.
Shave your head in support of those facing cancer and donate hair to Locks for Love.
Ask for a raise.
Audition for a local play.
Fill up the gas tank for a destination unknown!
Go back to school.
Start your own business

Customer for life - in Real Estate (or in software sales) that is the thing that we all crave. Over

Customer for life - in Real Estate (or in software sales) that is the thing that we all crave. Over the life of the relationship, tracking the relationship ( and the transaction information of various deals ) poses a complicated problem to the Real Estate offices, Real Estate Agents and the Administrative staff (and software developers) that try to keep it all organized. In this Post, we will start to explore why the long-term customer relationship is so valuable – and then we will look at the complications inherent in trying to manage client information, client value & related transaction information.

Why clients are so valuable ?

It is so easy to make a new sale to a client that already knows you and already likes you. It takes alot of work to build a relationship with a client – much of which happens automatically and even unconsciously but not without spending considerable time and effort. After the initial contact, there is this process that always begins where a prospect will test you and explore whether you are worthy of their trust. Likewise, you may need to test your prospect to see if they are worthy of your investment of time and energy… (are they serious about selling, do they have the means to buy the properties they are interested in, etc ) – but in the end if the prospect comes to trust you enough to work with you and you trust them enough to believe you can do business with them – then they become your client. In Real Estate, a client is really valuable – because of all the ground-work that has already been accomplished in building the trust relationship. From the day that a prospect becomes your client, you can expect that they will always call you first when they are thinking of making a move in Real Estate. Further, you can expect that you will be the person that they tell their friends and family to call whenever they are asked if they know a good realtor. ( It seems to me that the entire coaching program of Brian Buffini is built around the idea of long-term client trust relationships )

The challenges of tracking long-term client information

People move

The difficulties in tracking client information over the long-term is simply that clients in the real estate business just won’t stay put. People move (and thank God for that since that is how we make money) and everytime they do, our contact information goes out-of-date and all the transaction-related information which we had for them is no longer relevant because it refers to the last transaction that we did with the client.

Many different people need contact information

And different people in a Real Estate office need information about the clients. Lets look at the different needs of different “stake-holders” in a typical real estate office when it comes to clients:

Agents – need constantly updated information for each client. Agents stay in touch with clients by phone, by email & by snail mail… so they need to have instant access to the latest phone numbers & latest email address & current home address of their clients. Staying-in-touch is critical if they hope to get business in the future, so the latest contact information is critical.

Administrators – gather documents for compliance issues related to each transaction. They need to know how to reach a contact while they are in the middle of a transaction.

Transaction Coordinators - make sure that all the tasks related to either a marketing plan OR a pending-to-close plan get completed on time. They need to know how to reach a contact while they are in the middle of a transaction.

Broker/Owners - use contact information blended with commission information to understand the lifetime value (in terms of company dollars) for every client working with the Office

Sales Managers – use source of business reports on contacts to determine where to allocate marketing dollars. The value of websites, newpapers, radio & television advertising can be specifically tracked in the contact source is specifically tracked

The office needs historical information

The office has legal responsibilities to maintain files on transactions for a number of years – so in some way, the office has to keep clients linked to all the their past transactions. Also, as mentioned above, to calculate the lifetime-value of a client, the office needs to keep the client linked to the commission information for all their past transactions.

This week, we complete our short series of challenging messages on “The Women of Christmas”. If there’s one thing that’s become clear through this series it’s this: GOD LOVES WOMEN!

This week, we will discuss several women’s issues as presented in the Christmas story, with a focus on the passage depicted in this 1627 painting by Rembradt, titled “Simeon and Anna Recognize the Lord in Jesus”.

Through our Bible passage this week, we see Mary’s incredible faithfulness to meet all the requirements of the Law, even though her family was quite poor.

We also get to hear Simeon’s prophetic words about Jesus’s great destiny to reaveal the glory of God to the nations. The prophet pauses to reflect on how this will affect the young mother Mary, as many will love her son, but some will hate him. Jesus will bring Mary her greatest joy in life—and also her greatest pain.

We are also introduced to a wonderful woman by the name of Anna, who was a very old woman with a strong devotion to God. After being widowed by her husband only seven years into her marriage, she had spent the rest of her life worshipping in the Temple, fasting, and praying. And now at the ripe old age of eighty-four, she was finally realizing the blessing of seeing what she had been waiting for all these years: the Savior Jesus was born!. And she couldn’t help herself but share the news with the whole city of Jerusalem!

Come and share with us as we open up the Bible and see what God says about women through this incredible story.

If you would like to read ahead, feel free to take a look at Luke 2:21-40.

Let me quote Brad Paysley for a second: I’m so much cooler online.

TaylorSwift.com’s web team has delivered the ultimate online present for all her fans, a brand new website layout. The website aims to serve as a hub for all things Taylor. The webmaster himself is online on Twitter as @taylornation13. There’s a billion new features! Ok, not a billion. But as fun fact of the day, 99% of people who said that just mean to say a whole lot and it’s really cool and stop laughing at me already.

The new image gallery is a joy to use and it is high-res, albeit it will keep all pictures neatly protected from right-clicking, it does provide you with a way to see them with a minimum of fuss. Other sections allow you to upload your pictures, making this place a virtual library of stuff to browse.

The big one for me is the forums at TaylorConnect.com. First of all, if you’ve been in any forum lately you will want to go in right now and reserve your username before someone else takes it. Having official forums means you can find anything and everything about Taylor albeit I will warn youngster to be careful with the information they divulge. You’re allowed to hide some of your information from the prying eyes of other users.

You can find me there as TheSwiftAgency

Other areas are yet undeveloped but are scarily attractive. The Taylor Nation announces possible website development. Taylor TV would bring a virtual Swift-flavored YouTube video site.

Speaking about TV, remember this Saturday 26 NBC will re-run the SNL episode with T-Swizzle hosting and performing.

About the rumor of the Fearless One being lined up for Supergirl, the website at Mania.com has used their own insider within DC Entertainment who confirmed there was no truth to it. That’s ok. We all know Taylor’s pretty well-grounded to be flying around. She’s a superhero already in the hearts of her fans.

The People’s Choice voting has ended. We will get the results on January 6th, 2010.

From everyone here at the Swift Agency (uhhh, that’s one guy – me!), I wish you all a happy and safe holiday season.

Here’s some Holiday Greetings from several country stars, including Swifty herself at CMT.
As this Christmas approaches I find myself thinking a lot about the realities faced by Joseph and Ma

As this Christmas approaches I find myself thinking a lot about the realities faced by Joseph and Mary. Many scholars believe that at the time of Jesus’s birth Mary and Joseph were probably in their young teen years (13-16). Assuming this to be true, or even approximately true, I can’t shake certain thoughts.

Mary, having never been with a man, went through the messy reality of child-birth in close quarters with her new husband. Awkward, to say the least.

I found no evidence that Joseph had ever been with a woman, yet he was there in the mess to assist his new bride.

What was the interaction between them like? The actual event is passed over in scripture, but Jesus had to be born somehow. Scripture doesn’t say he just sort of appeared in the manger and Mary was good to go! There was an actual birth process. Two newlywed teenagers going through child-birth in a manger…wow. Maybe in that day and culture their age wasn’t as big a deal as it may seem to us in 2009. Ok. Two younger, less experienced people delivering a child into water troughs and straw. Still wow.

How did it feel to hold the baby Jesus? My wife and I have two sons. I was able to hold each of them within minutes of birth. The overwhelming feeling I experienced many times as I held them was: opportunity. They were clean slates. They were literally at the starting line with everything in life open to them. Mary and Joseph knew something of what Jesus was to accomplish…how did it feel to hold him as a baby?

I hope that this Christmas and holiday season finds you looking for opportunities, connecting with those you care for in rich and rewarding ways, and seeking truth in every area of life.

Happy Christmas!

Keller Williams Realty Ranked as Top Real Estate Franchise by Industry Leader and Entrepreneur Magazine

AUSTIN, TEXAS (December 21, 2009) — Keller Williams Realty joined the ranks of the top franchises in the world last week, when the company was ranked as the No. 1 real estate franchise on the 31st Annual Franchise 500 list by Entrepreneur magazine. During the same week, the company was also voted the Most Recognizable Brand of Real Estate Franchises for 2009 in an industry-wide survey for the Swanepoel TRENDS Report.

“The Swanepoel TRENDS Report is a respected source for the real estate industry and beyond, as is Entrepreneur magazine, and we are excited to see our agents honored in this way for all of their hard work,” said Mark Willis, CEO, Keller Williams Realty. “We certainly wouldn’t have been included on either list without the dedication and resolve of our agents.”

According to the ranking in Entrepreneur magazine, the most important criteria to determine the top franchises included financial strength and stability, as well as growth rate and size of the franchise system. The magazine also looked at the number of years the company has been in business and the length of time it’s been franchising, in addition to start-up costs and financial data. Additionally, Keller Williams Realty made an impressive showing on the overall list, placing higher than any other real estate franchise.

The Swanepoel TRENDS Report is published by Stefan Swanepoel, a real estate industry speaker and insider. The survey was crafted to determine the Most Recognizable Brand for Real Estate Franchises for his report out in February 2010. The survey included votes cast by 11,000 plus real estate agents, who cast 390,000 votes to select the top 10.

Earlier in the year,Keller Williams Realty also received the highest overall satisfaction ratings from home buyers among the largest full-service real estate firms from J.D. Power and Associates for the second year in a row.

“We are extremely proud that our associates and company are being recognized for our strength and stability during this time in our industry,” said Mary Tennant, president and COO, Keller Williams Realty. “We attribute our success to being in business with phenomenal people and to our core business models, which have allowed our franchises to thrive during any market.”

CONNECT This is the discipleship model that I have spent hours and hours of study time developing. W

CONNECT

This is the discipleship model that I have spent hours and hours of study time developing. Work began on this model in 2000.

Your faith journey begins with connecting with God in a way that allows you to believing he is who he is, making him the central part in every part of your life. This may take different forms for different people, but connecting with God essentially involves making him Lord of your life.

We know from the Bible that there are several gods and lords in all of our lives (1 Cor. 8:4-6). Connecting with God involves finding God in the different areas in our life where he may not be your Lord already. Connecting is the worship, the exposure, of one’s self before God and adoring him as Lord over everything. It’s the process of identifying God as the One that is more important than your health, your finances, your family, your job, even your hobbies or things that bring you the most enjoyment.

Making Jesus Lord of your life is something that not everyone “gets” in the same ways, nor does everyone perfect until Jesus comes. So we begin with the understanding that there’s more to a person’s life where Jesus isn’t Lord.

Through the CGS process we help you to allow Jesus to become Lord over more and more of the areas in your life, making opportunities for you to find him and connect with him in transformational ways.

Jesus is Lord. It’s all about Jesus!

John 14:6: “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

GROW:

The key to connecting with Jesus more and more is learning to know Jesus deeper and deeper in an ongoing relationship with him. This is where growing in Christ comes in. It involves two aspects: studying the Bible and applying it to everyday life, and developing deep, authentic relationships with other Christians so that in community, we can find Christ together.

Christianity is more about something that happened, rather than a system or religion for living. The Bible isn’t an instruction manual on how to live, it’s the story of what happened and a counsel for how to get connected with that faith journey associated with making Jesus the Lord of your life. You’ve gotta read it. You’ve gotta be in it constantly. You’ve gotta trust it and listen to it. Because the story of God is there and understanding it more and more is the first step in becoming a follower of Jesus Christ, his disciple. The key to following Jesus more and more is learning to know Jesus deeper and deeper in an ongoing relationship with him.

However, understanding isn’t the goal, it’s the beginning. The process of weeding out all the areas in one’s life where Jesus is not Lord is the pathway, the Christian journey. We call this discipleship-becoming like Jesus as his student. As Jesus was able to keep his Father above everything he did and submitted every area of his life to the Father, we are to seek the same as the goal of our discipleship.

In addition, you can hear the story of God through others. The second side of growing in your relationship with God is growing in your relationship with other Christians. They are the journalists that tell the current story of how God is moving. As you love others, helping to make Jesus the central aspect of their life, everything must revolve around the knowledge that no one has “arrived” at the goal quite yet, but everyone is on the pathway. As we trek this journey together, living authentic and realistic lives, our job is to encourage and to share with others the centralizing stories of Jesus Christ in our life. We desire to love our brothers and sisters, helping them find the best things for them as God intended in the beginning, though this sometimes requires humble correction and loving intervention when we see a brother or sister choosing things that are destructive to them and their relationship with God.

Proverbs 27:17: “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” The more you understand about God, the more central he will be to your life in all aspects.

Romans 12:9-21: “…Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. …Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. … Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. …”

SERVE

If God is Lord of all, the one and only God, how’s come we have so many Christians ending up to be practicing polytheists? Alan Hirsch, in the book, the Forgotten Ways, offers the following reflection: “Isn’t it interesting that most churchgoers report a radical disconnect between the God that rules Sunday to the gods that rule Monday? How many of us live as if there were different gods for every sphere of life? A god for work, another for family, a different one when we are at the movies, or one for our politics. No wonder the average churchgoer can’t seem to make sense of it all. All this results from a failure to respond truly to the One God. This failure can be addressed only by a discipleship that responds by offering all the disparate elements of our lives back to God, thus unifying our lives under his lordship” (97).

If connecting with God is the worship, awareness, and adoration of God, and growing in Christ is the process of relating to God and others on a deeper level of intimacy, then serving God is about making a difference in the world around, helping bring about God’s Kingdom as one used by Him. It’s about putting God first and living under the rule and reign of God. It’s about being about the things that God is about. It’s about doing something to help others see that Jesus is Lord and should be central to their life as well.

The core of serving God entails keeping Jesus at the center of his own movement based on the commands he gave us to “go and make disciples” (Matthew 28) and to “love others as I have loved you” (John 13:34-35). Essentially, this means getting your hands and feet dirty and serving other people in a way that exemplifies the love of Christ and makes a difference in someone’s life and in the community you live in.

Luke 6:46-49: “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. …”

I wonder… The Bible teaches that Jesus was without sin. It does not say he was without persona

I wonder… The Bible teaches that Jesus was without sin. It does not say he was without personality. As we roll on through this holiday season I can’t help but wonder…

How would Jesus celebrate? Family parties and meals, circulating friends houses, work events, various restaurant outings… Even when the Bible discusses Jesus being present at a party (those water to wine moments) we are not really given insight into his personality. What did his laugh sound like? How jovial and fun-loving was he? Often he is depicted in movies and mini-series as serious, stoic, even a little out of it. But if you read between the lines, Jesus connected with people. He understood, accepted, listened…he even heard the story that wasn’t being told.

I think Jesus would celebrate. I think he would laugh loud and often, connecting with every relative and friend he could at every opportunity. I think he would celebrate with those who were festive and grieve with those who were hurting amidst the tinsel and trimmings. I think he would connect.

Can you imagine being at a Christmas party…and seeing Jesus walk in?

December 18, 2009

WASHINGTON — Mortgage finance companies Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are suspending foreclosures and evictions for about two weeks in a temporary break for borrowers during the holiday season.

The suspension, announced Thursday by the government-controlled companies, runs from Saturday through Jan. 3. “No family should have to face the prospect of being evicted during the holiday season,” Michael Williams, Fannie Mae’s chief executive, said in a statement.

Earlier Thursday, Citigroup Inc. announced a 30-day suspension of foreclosures and evictions, affecting about 4,000 borrowers. Fannie and Freddie did not estimate how many homeowners would get this grace period.

Last winter, most major lenders suspended foreclosures while the Obama administration developed its $75 billion loan modification program. But foreclosures picked up again after those suspensions lifted.

We’re home now, which is better than being stuck in a hospital. We get to shower and put on clean clothes, cook a meal and sleep in our own beds. We’re able to enjoy the lights on our Christmas tree and the garland stretched across the mantle over the crackling fireplace. We’ve watched holiday movies with our kids and kissed the grimy-faced little boys we’ve been apart from for more than a week.

But we’re not healthy still. Grady’s got a version of what Rosie has. Fortunately, it only affects toddlers mildly. Eli’s appetite is low and he has been a little sniffly. Not a big deal under normal circumstances but considering what we’ve been though lately, we don’t take anything lightly.

Kelley and I have both come down with probably the same thing. For us, it’s a head cold but with Rosie’s RSV in its history. We’re both getting better but it makes it a challenge to care for a baby with nasty chest congestion and breathing impairment, a toddler and a six year old with a cold and try to make Christmas memorable for them.

What you will not hear from us is complaining. No matter how challenging these days, we are glad to be at home walking though this together.

As most of you know, our family is the center of our lives. And for us, when we are apart we feel it. So to be together, regardless of what’s going on within and around us, is more fulfilling than any other option. Especially during the holiday season.

I know we still have a week or so to go before Rosie is actually cleared. She has to sleep elevated for awhile until we are certain her O2 levels stay in the safe zone while she sleeps. To do this she is strapped into a specially designed wedge that helps her breathe and keeps her oxygen where it needs to be. The problem is – she hates it. It scares her. And her voice is gone from all that she’s been through, so when she cries we don’t hear her. It’s heartbreaking, really. She wakes up alone in a contraption she can’t escape from and can’t tell us she needs us.

Best I can relate, it’s like the dreams I have where I’m being chased and can’t produce the sound from my voice to scream for help.

Last night, we put the wedge between us in our queen-size bed so that if she woke up, we’d be there with her and maybe she wouldn’t be so scared. But due to its size, Kelley and I each have less than two feet of space in the bed for our adult bodies. Which only allows for one sleeping position; I call it the coffin pose. Toes up. Hands crossed across the chest. No movement allowed. Some people may like this. It’s a bit restrictive for us.

We’ll work it out somehow.

We have become more aware recently how connected we all are to each other.

You and I.
We and them.
All of us.

Your prayers over the past ten days have been enriching, empowering and enlightening. We have begun to discover more of the richness of how our prayers connect us not only to our Creator but to the spirits of each one of you. Please know that we are deeply grateful for all the ways you have given to us. Not just the last week and a half but in ways that we are very likely unaware.

We are thankful. There is more good news these days than bad.

I watched this video of @hardlynormal who took a mother and son to the store and gave her money for

I watched this video of @hardlynormal who took a mother and son to the store and gave her money for clothes. This is what it looks like when you touch just one person at a time.

Studies have shown that the attention span of an audience is ONE PERSON. We tune out at 2 needy people. So all those television shows of hundreds of starving children are basically wasting their time. As individuals, we connect at an individual level.

With that in mind – find ONE person in the rest of this year (that’s a week and a half) that you can help. Big, small, casual or deeply meaningful – tell me how it feels to do one out of the ordinary kindness for an individual.

Need ideas? I got ideas . . .
THINGS to DO

*Smile (with eye contact) at someone you would usually pretend not to see.

*Take $2.00 with you and pay for someone’s coffee at 7/11

*Write a thoughtful note to someone who is under-appreciated.

I used half a stack of posty notes and write “You Rock because____” and then hid them on random spots in a co-workers office. It took her a while to discover that it was my doing, however the goal was achieved. She was happier and more relaxed because -again- she was no longer invisable.

*Let someone in front of you in line at the grocery store. Pick the granny with a full cart and help her unload it as well.

*Adopt a person for the holidays. Several Homeless non-profits have a program where you can “adopt” a client and give them a present.

*Adopt someone you know or see regularly. Celebrate your holidays by gifting to them.

*Snail Mail. Getting a letter or a card is always so much fun – and again- it makes you feel less invisible.

Things to GIVE

*Take your old dufflebags or rolling suitcases and give them to the homeless person you always see carting their belongings in cracked plastic bags and grocery carts

*A hygene kit: Tooth brush, tooth paste, deodorant, baby wipes (great in a oinch when you can not get to a shower every day), tissue , and moisturizing skin lotion. Pop it into a large ziplock plastic bag and give it to someone who needs or can use it.

* $10 will buy a dozen roses at the grocery store. Buy them for someone – someone unexpected: a police officer, someone who loos sad, a sick neighbor or friend.

*A blanket. Lay it on someone who is cold and on the sleep, or put it in a gift bag and leave it on the door of someone with little money. A shocking number of people can not afford to run the heater in these hard economic times.

*A bag of groceries. Again, the number of people silently suffering with an income insufficient to their needs is greater than you might think. you know who has just lost a job, or someone who is under-employed. Spend a few extra dollars and buy bread, fruit, peanut butter etc and help them out.

*Gift certificates for food – McDonald’s, In N Out, Taco Lita (it’s an Arcadia phenomenon ), Scrip for a grocery store are all inexpensive and easy ways to show friendship and help someone have a hot meal.

——————————————–

Tell me what acts of kindness you would do – and any acts you actually do. Giving is personal – not just to those who receive, it can be personal to you: the giver as well.

The link between asbestos and laryngeal cancer is not ripe, but there are signs that both are actual

The link between asbestos and laryngeal cancer is not ripe, but there are signs that both are actually related. However, it is not yet known whether asbestos causes cancer of the larynx really because there are still significant material, which ultimately concluded that there is indeed a major cause. However, the authorities must draw constantly looking for additional information on absolute conclusions about esophageal cancer and exposure to asbestos. Butit was established that asbestos may increase the risk of a person developing cancer of the larynx.

Asbestos has been used as material for fire protection. Therefore, it is often found in homes, where more extreme measures will be used for fire protection. But are the main sources of asbestos in places where it is used primarily in the area of work. Employers know the people exposed to high levels of asbestos-containing materials are shipyards, factories, motor vehicles,Construction sites and other industrial plants and jobs.

Laryngeal cancer is a relatively rare disease. In 100 cases of cancer, is only 1, which appeared as a cancer of the throat. In Britain, there were only 2200 patients with laryngeal cancer diagnosed in 2002. In the United States, however, cancer of the larynx translated from a low of 2% of cases of cancer each year to a maximum of 5%. This collects only about 10,000 diagnosed with throat cancer a year. This figure is the death of 4,000 suffer from this disease. Even with this large number of deaths, there are a greater number of cases of asbestos cancer cancer of the larynx. The time of laryngeal cancer is diagnosed is usually somewhere between 50 and 70, which promotes the relationship between the development of cancer and asbestos. This is because the majority of patients with cancer of asbestos, the disease develop fully in these times when> Asbestos fibers was completely damaged the affected areas.

Cancer of the larynx, of course, relate to the larynx. This is essentially the passage of air. So it's easy, larynx diseases treated materials that are suspended in air. He is also responsible for giving temporary protection in the lung during the passage of food during swallowing.

Asbestos, which could threaten the other side, not on a person's health if it is inhaled, such as asbestos fibers. ThisFiber comes from materials that have been damaged or made of asbestos. The two are together, ie, asbestos and cancer of the larynx, because the larynx acts as a gateway, asbestos fibers, if they've already swallowed or inhaled .

Cancer of the larynx and the draft also similarities in the symptoms of asbestos cancer. Among these signs, such as difficulty, swelling, hoarseness, shortness of breath, weight loss, earache, persistent cough andThe development of mass somewhere in the neck.

The asbestos larynx cancer treatment is the degree of deterioration in the extent of damage location and size of the tumor cells, and the time at which the tumor was diagnosed. There are several treatment options that are the same for the treatment of other cancers. These include chemotherapy, radiation therapy and removal of the larynx, or partial or complete removal. But these options are Apply only to extremely harsh environments. If the removal of the larynx is elected, can speak in a different way and use the breathing.

Laryngeal cancer, such as mesothelioma and other asbestos cancer cases could be brought forward as a case in court. If you are a victim of asbestos, lead, cancer of the larynx, it is better to immediately seek legal advice from the options of demand met by chance. However, substantial relationship between> Asbestos, the cause of exposure, such as for a company that used asbestos, including the larynx is determined.

If so, you may be entitled to full compensation, through trial or settlement. The average compensation of asbestos cases, 6 million U.S. dollars in 2001 and increased the amount of overtime. This depends also on other important factors such as the credibility of the claim, the reputation of a lawyer andthe degree of responsibility of the Company has against the person.

The value of asbestos larynx cancer affection varies depending on your point of view you look at it. As long as there is evidence to support the request, you can always be contacted.

Broadband or high-speed Internet connection is what many users are currently in use in their home. A

Broadband or high-speed Internet connection is what many users are currently in use in their home. Along with high-speed Internet, many users can also use a router to connect multiple computers to the Internet. This document describes how to use a router to connect multiple computers. Easier to understand, I will use when you live as a comparison to how the computer is connected to the Internet.

What is an IP address?

IP addresses consist of a seriesnnn.nnn.nnn.nnn numbers in the form: nnn is the start of a three-digit number. An IP address is unique for a single computer in a network, just like at home, has a unique address. Provided a connection to the Internet, an IP address from your Internet service provider (ISP). In some cases, the ISP can have more than one IP address, which you can connect to multiple computers. As we shall see later, but it is still more computerswith a single IP address.

Connecting a single computer

Connecting a single computer to your high-speed Internet is very easy to do. Simply connect a network cable to the modem and then into the network card in your computer. Your computer will be assigned an IP address from your ISP. For example, if your ISP assigns you the IP address 24.24.50.17, then the IP address of the computer.

WhenSend a request to a server, such as a Web page, the web server knows what IP address that made the request. The information is then sent via the Internet and back to your computer. This is like when someone sends mail to your home. The address on the e-mail can be delivered at home and not elsewhere.

Multiple computers

How can connect multiple computers, if only one address is assigned? If you have a network request –First, as you know which computer on which the requested page? Let our home analogy a step further. Suppose, instead of living in a house that you live in an apartment. If someone sends you e-mail, not only address but also an apartment. This figure is inside your house apartment and each apartment has its own number. Similarly, multiple computers can connect to the Internet when they are there own local IP address. This canprocessed by a router.

A router is a piece of hardware that connects directly to the modem. Each computer is then connected to the router instead of the modem. Now, instead of the computer with the IP address from the provider, the router is now assigned the IP address provided. This is comparable to the router via the apartment.

The beauty of a router is that you can assign your own local IP addresses. If you use a computer to the router hoursreceives the IP address of the router, as each house has its own assigned number. If we now make a request to a Web page, the request is sent to the provider the same address, but this time is to assign to the router. If the Web page is returned, the router receives the request and sends it locally on your computer, the requested page.

The router also has its own local address, which is the local IP addresses of computers alone. Then there is theRouter has assigned two addresses: one provided by the external provider and one local, who has made available. This allows the router to connect to the Internet and local network.

Note: The address 192.168.xxx.xxx are special IP addresses for local area networks (LANs) are reserved.

Managing a Web or FTP server on the network

Let's take a look at this scenario. You have a router that connects multiple computers to the Internet. But now I want To create an FTP or Web server. No problem. The installer software is required on a computer network, "said someone outside the network, the local IP address of the FTP server and try to get in touch. Then he discovered that he can not connect. Why? Like something to someone list by simply pointing your home number and no address.

The IP address assigned to your computer on the network. You can connect to this> Computer networking, but not from the Internet. You need your ISP assigned IP address (assigned to the router) to have someone from the Internet to connect to FTP server. The problem is that the router assigns the IP address and the computer, and as an IP address must be unique, as two computers can share the same IP? The answer: you can not, but it is not.

Routers are able to provide information on a door to the fronta particular computer. A port is a channel numbered according to which data can be sent to a network. You can not physically see, as it is a channel length of the virtual network used for sending / receiving data . For FTP servers the default port is 21, but another port can be used.

Open the router configuration and look for the option of port forwarding. Enter the internal IP address of the FTP server and the port number and then save the information. When a user tries toAccess to the FTP site must be assigned to the ISP's IP address for the router. The router will then establish that the data is sent on port 21 and then forward it automatically to the FTP server. A web server is setup the same way, but the default port is in Rule 80;

Note: By default, a router dynamically assign IP addresses to computers connected to it. This means that the first computer is connected to the router to get the first available IPThe address and the next to get the second, and so on. If you assign an FTP server for management, may be easier to have a static IP address on your computer in order to ensure that the FTP server is always the same IP address.

This article describes how to connect one or more computers to an Internet connection. It 'important to remember the following:

If you have a computer connected directly to the modem, so that the computers are assigned the IP address from your ISP.
WhenUsing a router that the router's IP address assigned by your ISP. Every computer connected to the router receives a local address of the router.
Router, the IP address of the provider and a local IP address. This allows you to connect to the Internet and network connections.
When you set up a computer as FTP, Web or communicate with other servers on the Internet, it is important to use the IP address of the router to access the server. Is therefore necessarySubmit application port on your server.
