Man attacked by dog while trying to save turtle

HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — A Hamden man was mauled by a dog while trying to help a turtle cross a local road. Police say the resident, whose name has not been released, stopped his car on Evergreen Avenue last Tuesday and was trying to get a large turtle out of the road near Whitney Avenue when he was attacked by a longhaired black Labrador. 50 more words
