Everyone who has suffered from constipation knows the pain and discomfort he has got from this annoying condition. Most of the people don’t want to talk about this problem to others. In this article you will find some easy and effective natural remedies for constipation.

Constipation Home Remedies

Below are some of the commonly used home remedies for relieving constipation. These home remedies are natural and relieve pain, discomfort and embarrassment.

1. Mix a teaspoon of clarified butter (ghee) in a cup of warm milk and take this at bedtime regularly for some days. This is very effective home remedy for constipation.

2. Take one teaspoon gulkand (sweet rose jelly) twice, along with warm water. Gulkand is made primarily of rose petals.

3. Mix one to two teaspoon of pure castor oil with warm milk and take it at bedtime. This is another useful home remedy for constipation.

4. Take 3 to 5 grams of the powder of chebulic myrobalan or harad along with warm water to get relief from constipation.

5. Take equal amounts of turmeric powder and black salt along with warm water after meals. This is very useful remedy for constipation and gas problems.

6. Suppression of natural urge of passing stools despite pressure is a very common cause of constipation. So never suppress the natural urge.

7. Foods rich in high fiber such as drumstick, carrot, dry peas and spinach are helpful in preventing constipation.

8. Highly spicy food hampers the digestive system. So avoid such foods.

9. Make thin bread (chapatti) of wheat (two parts) and roasted black gram powder (one part), along with their husk for increased fiber, ensuring normal defecation.

10. Do not indulge in some other activities like watching television while having food. This will disturb your digestion process.

11. Indigestion sometimes leads to constipation and other digestive problems. Therefore, chew your meal slowly to digest properly.

12. Walk for at least 30 minutes both morning and evening. Also involve in physical activities and use stairs instead of lifts.

13. Sit in vajrasana for a short period in the beginning. Start by sitting on your heels. Slowly move your legs sideways, until your bottom is resting on the floor. Put your hands on your knees. This asana is good for people suffering from constipation and hemorrhoids (piles). It ensures good digestion.

of the pumpkin shortage. I haven’t used pumpkin in awhile because i’m cutting back on sugar. There is no sugar in the goodies i’m making..no sir. I got a special package in the mail from a sweet little girl named April. Not to be confused with a grumpy old hag named April.

In the container are the ingredients to make her dark chocolate muffins! YIPPEE! Plus she sent a little mini loaf of clean banana bread. I stress the mini because Boomer and I ate the whole thing Notice there isn’t a picture of the small teeny loaf…ahem. So anyhow, no pumpkin around so I’ll have to wait to devour the entire batch make the muffins.

.

Boomer and I went to the puppy store today aka PetSmart. Her little tail wagged the entire time and she was very happy to get to go to the store with mommy. Then I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and got some of these:

It’s worth a shot! Maybe my body needs some bacteria. Actually i’m not constipated for once so that’s a plus.

.

I received these samples in the mail today also. Hey you saw my stomach i’ll give anything a shot. I don’t typically eat a lot of dairy but do have cottage cheese on occasion.

Lunch:

1 pkg shirataki noodles

chicken

goat cheese

black pepper

This was good! I have not had 1 green vegetable today and so far i’m feeling better. The lower part of my pelvic region feels a little hurty but it’s tolerable.

.

Date night with Mikey tonight! Last night we were getting excited about it. He’s been working so much lately even at home and it blows. I told him i’ll make burgers and we’ll watch The Hangover…then he throws in “Can we make out?” LOL! Gotta love his never give up-ness. You know i’m from Indiana so that grammar is okay.

Dear Subscriber
Welcome to our January 2009 Herniabible Newsletter – we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year.

1. New Product now available

We have had many requests for advice on the best herbs to help maintain the strength of the abdominal wall. There are a lot of opinions out there, and it has become a confusing subject.
Our research took us to professional and highly-qualified herbalists, and their advice was clear. The herbal formula most suited to help maintain the strength of collagen, pelvic floor and core muscles is a Chinese formula known as “Bu Zhong Yi Qi Wan / Tang”. It contains herbs such as astragalus, ginseng, Chinese liquorice, cohosh and aged mandarin orange peel. In Traditional Chinese Medicine this formula is said to balance the central qi, so that the body can utilize the Yang (male) energy on which strength depends.

Other reasons for choosing this formula
We researched other herbs. Some (such as hawthorn) can help to ease the pain of a hernia by reducing bloating, flatulence, constipation or inflammation. But Bu Zhong Yi Qi Wan is the only formula with verification from Chinese Medicine experts as regards maintaining the strength of the abdominal wall.
Our chosen brand is Greatwall, a high quality product in the form of a “Tea Pill”. This product is made from concentrated extracts rather than grinding up the ingredients into a powder and compressing them into a pill. It is a more effective form of taking them as the pill concentrates the soluble portion.

Don’t forget we also sell Baume Phoenicienne

http://www.groin-hernia.com/baume.html

2. Remedies for bloating, flatulence and constipation

There is no doubt that these problems worsen both the size and the discomfort of an inguinal hernia by increasing pressure inside the abdomen. But they are not difficult or expensive to treat.
Fennel tea
Made from fennel seeds, this is widely available in supermarkets and health food stores, and is an excellent digestive aid and carminative (anti-flatulence) herb.
Ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, chilli pepper, cayenne
There is more than one reason for the use of these spices in Indian cookery! They help to control the bacteria which produce flatulence, so use them in your cookery as often as you can. You can also buy teabags containing various combinations of these spices. The best-known brand is the “Yogi” brand available from health-food stores.
Psyllium husks
These are available from some health-food stores, and also online from outlets such as www.nutricentre.com. If you are in the UK, a good economical brand is the “Phytopharmaceutical” brand, but any brand of whole (unpowdered) husks will do. Whisk a level tablespoon of psyllium husks into a large glass of water, and drink immediately. Once in your stomach, the husks swell to 100 times their size, and become very slippery. They should help you to have a good bowel movement in the morning.
Epsom Salts
When dissolved in water and drunk, these make your stools retain water and so make them easy to expel. If you do feel the need to take a laxative, they are the safest form for people with inguinal hernia, and can of course be combined with prunes, figs, or psyllium husks.
Bran
Some people find wheat bran a good anti-constipation remedy, but nutritionists point out that it can be a bit irritating. It can occasionally cause bloating, especially if you have a wheat intolerance.

2. Herbiabible Booklet

We have produced a booklet about hernia self-help methods. This is now available free as an E-book in pdf format from http://www.groin-hernia.com/herniabible/links2.html. It contains all our recommendations, including Pilates instructions with illustrations.

3. The Boxer Support

Our designers are still working on the best way to incorporate our support into a pair of boxer shorts so that you can undress without anyone knowing you are wearing a hernia support. We will keep you posted.

4. Herniabible Training Day in Hastings, UK

We are very nearly ready to organise this day. As well as Yoga, Pilates and nutrition, we will offer our participants a second medical opinion on their need for hernia repair surgery.

5. Surgery – case of mesh causing damage to bladder

Before you make a final decision regarding hernia repair surgery, read the Adverse Event reports submitted to the US FDA by patients, doctors and lawyers. Here is an example:
In 2007, a female patient in the US had mesh implanted during a right inguinal hernia repair operation. The patient began to have multiple urinary tract infections, and was referred to a urologist. The urologist opened her up to look for cysts, and found instead that she had hernia repair mesh protruding into her bladder. In 2008, the patient had further surgery to remove the area of mesh that had protruded into her bladder, along with one third of her bladder. Adhesions were also found and had to be removed. As part of her post-operative recovery process, the patient was required to have an indwelling urinary catheter in place for about a month.

http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfMAUDE/Detail.CFM?MDRFOI__ID=1196326

6. Trusses

We regularly warn men with inguinal hernias to beware of trusses with pads that protrude into the hernia opening. Here is what the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (USA) says about them: “Hernia belts or trusses should be discouraged, and should be limited to patients who are not candidates for an elective operation. Chronic scarring from their use can lead to a more difficult repair and higher risks of complications.”

http://www.ssat.com/cgi-bin/hernia6.cgi

We would like to remind you that the Flat Pad Support [www.groin-hernia.com/hernia-support.html] does not have pads which intrude into the hernia, and is a much safer option for reducible hernias.

Questions, comments or feedback about these topics are welcome by clicking on the comments link or going to our forum at

Not really…I just couldn’t think of a title. I went and had my Starbucks fix for the week. Nonfat Grande Cafe Latte with a large glass of ice for my protein shake. It was EXTRA yummy today. Wanna know the secret ingredient?

Yes that’s right. I packed my peppermint extract along with my shake and made a meal out of Starbucks coffee

.

On the way home I had an urge for a Kombucha. I swear it’s like an addiction. The lady asked me at the store if they tasted like vinegar. I told her I drink vinegar in my water and pour it on my salad so it might but I like it I also scored some white chia seeds on sale! Wonder if they’ll make my poo a different color? Sorry, typing out loud.

Workouts are going great! My weight was 119 this morning. Far from the 113 I wanted to be but i’m okay with that for now. It’s the Holidays right? Plus I have this addiction to guacamole and goat cheese. I only use an oz of each a day but that’s enough to throw this bod out of whack. I see all these fun giveaways on blogs and I want to enter but I don’t want to win…does that make sense? I’ve told you all I have issues. If I win the yummy stuff i’m not someone who can savor the goodies. I have to eat everything at once. Which is odd because I wouldn’t classify myself as a binge eater?

.

I’m starting to get my holiday baking list together. Once finalized i’ll post it like I did for Thanksgiving I’ve got my eye on many of this lady’s recipes. I wish she would quit adding yummy recipes so I could quit adding to the list. I love baking for my family!

.

I have been having severe stomach problems lately. It’s like a constant pain and then bloat by the end of the night. I’m not constipated so i’m cutting out gluten for a bit to see if that helps. The only thing I eat with that is oats and wheat bran so it’s not a big deal. If that doesn’t help i’ll cut coffee and see what happens? I’m just sick of being gassy and bloated all the time. This comes and goes all the time. I’ll be good for awhile and then it hits again. I’m sure there is something wrong with me but when I go to the doctor all I get is a prescription for a laxative or a prescription to start my menstral cycle again. Man, I wish I got paid $100,000 a year to give that advice.

.

What is your favorite exercise? I absolutely LOVE chest flies!!!

The symptoms of constipation are difficulty passing stools, hard stools, or a sense of incomplete emptying after a bowel movement. There are different-2 causes for these problems. Also bowel movement decreases with the passage of age. The old aged person has less bowel movements than a young person.

Causes of Constipation

Eating Disorders

Stress, tension, depression

Inadequate drinking of water

Aluminum-containing antacids

Hormonal disorders

Less fiber in the diet

No exercise or no physical activity

Pregnancy

Iron supplements

Intake of large amount of dairy products

Disturbing regular diet routine

Symptoms of Constipation

Improper bowel movements

Swollen abdomen

Vomiting

Abdominal pain

Dry and hard stool

Abnormally small stool

Stomach ache and cramps

Treatment of Constipation

Include more and more fiber in your diet. The most common sources of fiber are fruits, vegetables, wheat, polycarbophil etc.

More and more intake of fluids, Try to take more and more water and also juices.

You can also go with medications to cure this problem.

Exercise is also a best way to overcome constipation.

Today Daniel celebrates a year of eating only the foods recommended on the GAPS diet. A whole year ago today we finally eliminated the last non-GAPS friendly food, his beloved rice bread and began to build a healthy gut. We didn’t get around to the Introduction part of the diet until February but from today, December 14th, he was eating full GAPS.

The year hasn’t been easy, a real rollercoaster ride, but the overall impression has been one of improvement and I’m so glad we stuck it out. We’ve seen big gains in Dan’s behaviour, sleep and in his skin. He still can’t eat even the tiniest amount of dairy without his skin breaking out all over but generally his skin is eczema-free now. He still suffers periodically from strange rashes across his lower belly and sometimes down as far as the tops of his legs but these are different in character to his eczema and we try to look at them positively, attributing them to cycles of die-off. We have successfully introduced duck eggs but his skin still reacts to chicken’s eggs.

Daniel now generally sleeps more deeply and wakes less often. He’ll sleep from 7pm until just before 6am now, often without any crying. Pre GAPS he generally woke every few hours throughout the night with prolonged periods of distress.

What we believe to be some sort of silent reflux still occurs though generally less frequently and it seems to bother him less when it does.

Daniel’s bloated tummy is slowly reducing and his constipation is a distant memory. Gone are the marble-like stools he used to produce, now he happily uses the potty proclaiming loudly, “Come see Mummy, come see, it looks like a snail/frog/elephant!!!!”, “Look Mummy there’s his trunk!” lol

He has gone from eating only foods prepared in very specific ways to eating just about anything. A year ago food was all about appearance, texture and huge quantity! He stills loves to eat as much as we’ll let him but now he’ll eat whatever is prepared with enthusiasm. He loves to try new foods and relishes new dishes. It’s pure joy to sit down together to a family meal and all be able and willing to eat the same things.

Behaviourally I think Daniel will always be a spirited individual and tantrums are still a part of our lives but gone are the wild, unrelenting tantrums where with little warning he’d drop to the ground screaming and snake uncontrollably across the floor, arching his back and bumping into everything in his path with total disregard! We now have a little boy who readily shows and shares affection and cuddles into our bodies when we carry him. A year ago he was distant to the extent of leaning away from us when we carried him and signs of affection were few and far between.

His teeth are looking strong and white and he’s a solid, sturdy little boy.

A year on GAPS has brought many changes for Daniel and I look forward to the changes our second year on GAPS brings!

Professor Masayuki Matsumoto, a renowned professor in the field of healthcare studies, once said: ‘Blood is the foundation of our health. Acidic and sluggish blood is the CAUSE of various diseases’.

DR TRON’s Bio-Electron Potential Therapy or Electro Static Therapy, was first introduced in Japan, around 1957, as a state-of-the-art technology that can convert acidic blood to weak alkaline blood (around pH7.3 – pH7.4) without using medications, injections or operations.

DR TRON, a bio-electron potential therapy medical device, transmits 5500V – 9000V of static current through an electric pad into the insulated body of a user. Even though it is high in voltage, it is very safe because it is low in current. It will not create any electrical shock but if someone who are not using the therapy touches you, it will create a static discharge (*spark*). It is just a little pain and will wear off very soon.

The static current that is produced by DR TRON comes with 75% negative electrons and 25% positive electrons. Through the increase of the body’s electrical charge, sodium ions (Na+) and calcium ions (Ca2+) within cells will enter into the extra cellular fluid (blood); Conversely, potassium ions (K+) and magnesium ions (Mg2+) retained in the blood will diffuse back into cells to regulate the balance of electrolytes inside and outside of the cells (potassium-sodium transport). This results in the calcium ions regulating the pH of blood to be maintained at pH7.3 – pH 7.4, mild alkaline state. The excess sodium is not retained in cells and is removed from the body, and the cells’ ATP production is enhanced with the increase of potassium. This process is called blood cleansing. Through this process, it will improve many of our body conditions.

DR TRON, a Bio-Electron Potential Therapy Medical Equipment is approved by the Ministry of Health of Japan as a medical equipment bearing the No. (61B) 1738. It also conform to ISO 9001 and 13485 standards.

DR TRON is supported and recommended by over 6000 doctors in Japan. It is recommended by the Ministry of Health, Japan to be effective for headache, shoulder ache, insomnia and constipation.

Besides that, there are many testimonies from satisfied users from all over the world mainly Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan China and Malaysia that claimed that DR TRON is also effective for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high diabetes, uric acid, heart disease, stroke, night urination, other illness and for prevention purposes too.

That’s all for a short introduction of what DR TRON is. More to come in the future posts. Do visit often.

Feel free to comment or ask questions and I will try my best to answer you as soon as possible.

Why is it so hard to find a decent doctor? Why, with our amazing universal health care, can I not fi

Why is it so hard to find a decent doctor? Why, with our amazing universal health care, can I not find a doctor with decent patient interaction skills, who can speak proper, fucking English? I mean seriously…

Now I don’t care what color my doctor is. I don’t care if he’s black, white, brown, or any color in between. I don’t care if he can speak 1 language, 2, 3, or more. All I want is a Doctor that can speak, and understand, English. Is that so much to ask?

Yesterday I went to the doctor for the first time in quite a few years. I don’t normally go because I hate waiting in line at a walk-in clinic for hours. I found a doctor in Calgary, but he was completely useless and made it seem like an imposition when I went to see him. They guy I went to see yesterday, despite not having any patient interaction skills, hardly spoke English. And the doctor that he was working with was worse. I don’t know if she is a resident, or what, but her comprehension of English is slightly above my ability to parlez francais.

Now I can deal with the fact that they were totally useless as my doctor, but next week Bean is scheduled to go there for his 2 month shots. I don’t know if I want him to see them though.

I called to see if there are any other doctors accepting new patients (we have a number we can call that hooks us up with family doctors accepting new patients) and I received two names. One is a doctor that I hear is amazing, but has 4+ hour wait times. The other has some of the worst ratings on Rate MDs.com, though it isn’t like this new doctor has a rating much higher (2.8 instead of 2.6 out of 5).

On a separate, yet related front, Mrs. Storage took Bean into a walk-in clinic this morning to have him checked out. He hadn’t pooped since early last week, and we were getting worried. We weren’t hugely worried, but figured it couldn’t hurt to check with a doctor.

After waiting for 2 hours, Mrs. Bean finally gets in to see the doctor only to be told that he doesn’t see children under 2. Umm…what? How come the nurse at the desk didn’t say anything? What a giant waste of time. Apparently he was a really great guy, had been retired and came back to do a walk-in clinic, and hadn’t seen babies in 20 years. So it was understandable that he reserved diagnosis and said we should go to a pediatrician (too bad wait times for walk-in pediatricians are 5-6 hours). He also mentioned using a glycerin suppository, something I’d read about online, but hadn’t tried yet.
**TMI WARNING**

And I must say…they worked great! 2 bucks for instant relief. I can’t believe the poop fountain that came out of that little boy. And afterward he actually felt lighter. And his stomach was soft and squishy instead of firm, and obviously full of poop.

So now he’s great. He’s poop free and feeling much better. He’s not as fussy either. So yay for suppositories.

Now could someone please point me in the direction of a competent, English-speaking doctor? I’d greatly appreciate it.

The most comfortable abdominal curl is this, also suitable as beginner’s exercise for people who are not fit at all like me :

1. Lie on the back with both knees bend, relax.
2. Roll neck from side to side. Must warm up the poor neck other wise I might sprain it later. LOL
3. Use one palm to cradle the base of my dear head.
4. Lovingly park chin towards floor.
5. Place the other hand on lower abdomen to remind it not to bulge out. I find this step very important. During my initial attempts when I forgot to park the abdomen inside, it went into convulsions when I curled.
6. Park should blades towards the floor.
7. Get ready for the curl.
8. Breathing in, imagining tucking tummy to squeeze into a pair of super tight jeans. ” Must get in, I want to dress to kill.”
9. Zip up the jeans. Breathe out and curl.
10. Just curl a little, subtly – remember your purpose is only to push last week’s meals out, not getting killer curves. A little, as long as the abs are worked, will do.
11. This is the busiest time, curling and remember the hand still checking on the abdomen. Make sure your butt is parked tight to the ground, otherwise, convulsions.
12. 3-5 seconds of eternity, breathe in, uncurl.
13. To ward off monotony, let the hand on the abdomen go to the head, change shifts and repeat.

The second type of curl is still suitable for lazy bums like me. This time, the neck gets no pampering from a cradling hand:

1. Lie on the back with both knees bend and both hands on the sides, relax.
2. Breathe IN to curl. Both hands try to reach out for the toes behind the knees.
3. Again, don’t have to be athlete perfect: lift head and shoulders 3 inches above ground if you can’t do a lot, try to aim for 12 inches.
4. Keep ab tuck in. Otherwise, it will shake uncontrollably. LOL
5. Hang on 3-5 seconds of eternity.
6. Breathe out, uncurl.

Note: This one, I am so confused with the breathing. I think I need to make a work out mp3 file that goes: “Breathe in. Curl. Don’t break your neck. Ab tuck in. Count 1-2-3-4-5. Breathe out. Uncurl” to do it properly.

Finally, the standard abdominal which is similar to the above but done with legs straight. Like rowing a dragon boat.

( Man, if I can reach this level I’ll never be constipated. )

Source: The Graphic, Sat 23 August 1879

Laxora was introduced to Britain by its French proprietor, P. Guyot, in 1877, and at once attracted positive attention from the medical press. It sounds a pleasant medicine to take – The Medical Times and Gazette described it thus:

They consist of a core, or centre-part, of compound of manna, cassia-pulp, and other like laxatives, we believe, enclosed in a crystalline chocolate crust; are not at all unpleasant to the taste, and will, we doubt not, be readily taken by children as well as by adults.

Certainly more appealing than the Rectal Dilators or the Aperitive Vase!

In the 18th century, William Buchan (Domestic Medicine), had said that constipation ‘may proceed from drinking rough red wines, or other astringent liquors: too much exercise, especially on horseback,’ but by the mid-19th century many medical writers (particularly in the US) were putting it down to the sufferer not getting into the habit of ‘going to stool’ every day. You had to be regular, and if you weren’t, it was advisable to go anyway, and sit and wait until something happened. Thomas Hawkes Tanner in 1866 estimated that the normal output of a ‘properly fed man’ should be 4 or 5 oz daily. For those with time to kill, Samuel Sheldon Fitch advised:

Let the costive person, exactly at the same time every day, solicit an evacuation, and that most perseveringly for at least one hour, should he not succeed sooner, at the same time leaving off all medicine.

Should the costive person fail at their solicitation, there were numerous remedies to be introduced – by mouth or otherwise. Rhubarb and castor oil were well-known as purgatives, and clysters of castor oil, lukewarm water or, more drastically, tobacco-smoke (as advocated by Thomas Sydenham two centuries earlier) might do the trick. One recipe for a clyster comprised castor oil, turpentine and half a pint of gruel, which I imagine went a long way. If the condition proved stubborn, one US writer said:

When the feces are impacted in the rectum, the assistance of the finger, a scoop, spoon-handle, or some similar instrument, introduced per anum, becomes necessary to break up and discharge the solid mass.

More unusually, an 1854 book by James Smellie described the action of galvanic apparatus as an aid to getting the bowels moving – the positive electrode was to be placed in the lumbar region, the negative to the rectum. With extreme cases, it was necessary to ‘employ the galvanic friction, and sometimes to draw sparks from individual points.’

The emphasis on being regular makes it debatable whether all supposed sufferers really had a problem. ‘Costiveness’ could be diagnosed – and treated quite aggressively – just on the strength of the patient not having defecated for a couple of days, which is hardly a medical emergency.

Ultimately, however, much constipation advice focused on diet, for prevention as well as cure. Strong coffee, too much white bread, especially that contaminated with alum, and the fashionable habit of over-indulging at one late meal rather than eating little and often, were all thought to contribute to the condition. Thankfully for patients daunted by the more drastic remedies, there was the option of beef tea, figs, prunes and tamarinds, molasses, porridge, and plenty of fresh fruit.

Well that’s a sad, sad story I have yet (and never want) to experience.

We want the goodness of aloe vera without tasting the slimy bitterness. Mom forever kills the taste

We want the goodness of aloe vera without tasting the slimy bitterness. Mom forever kills the taste by simmering it, sweetened by rock sugar and occasionally, dried longans.

I hate this ‘aloe vera’ sweet herbal drink. By boiling it in a huge pot of water, it is as good as spreading the appalling aloe flavor in proportion to the cooking liquid.

There’s this Japanese recipe I read. Slice off the sharp edges of the aloe leaves. Shred the leaves and keep in fridge until you have the time to make a drink. When the time comes, simmer whatever the aloe paste with same quantity of water until the water reduces to half. Add malt sugar and serve.

-____- Ohhh.

Eating it raw right from a tablespoon is more bearable in comparison. At least the offensive flavor is limited to a smaller volume capacity.

By the way, I thought cooking is supposed to destroy the aloe’s goodness. Too busy to research on this…

I tried Isabell Shipard’s aloe vera infusion, which is more of a tonic, but can still help with minor constipation. LOL

Since she wrote cut the leaves, I presume that I should leave the skin in tact. After all, she did mentioned draining out the bitter aloes before hand so there should not be problems with excess purgative.

I filled up one third of an empty jar and one third of an extra mug with aloe vera slices, add in water and let ‘em steep in the fridge over night.
Personally, I prefer aloe drink cold to hot/warm. Coldness kind of suppresses the aloe smell a lot.

After a few days of recycling the water, the bitter flavour gradually became milder but not to the point of ‘crystal clear spring water’. Maybe I am sensitive to even a minute quantity of aloe taste/odor. I was really hoping this recipe could help to improve the taste of our horrible tap water here. Ms Shipard’s notes on how long the leaves stay in the containers ranges from 10 days to several weeks. This is a bit strange as my aloe slices turned bad within a week when they are not soaked. 4-5 days is okay for me though.

Here’s a really strange recipe: wrap the aloe in glutinous rice paper – can I call it aloe dumpling then?

^ O ^

Either way, as long as you somehow pop aloe down the alimentary canal, you will most like have a nice stool day. Adding fruit juices/honey is the easiest, right?

The indicators of constipation can be so intolerable at times. Imagine being stuck on the loo

The indicators of constipation can be so intolerable at times. Imagine being stuck on the loo – normally, a simple and straightforward process – in a serious quantity of discomfort and pain. Your stomach is bloated, you have unjustifiable flatulence problems, and you are continually cramping up in the gut. Bowel obstruction symptoms are never simple to deal with, nor are they simple to chat about with others – there’s a stigma that surrounds this condition that must be sorted earlier, rather than later.

There are a variety of answers to people suffering from constipation. Both artificial and natural constipation remedies exist, which act to target the numerous hard stools symptoms that pop up from this condition. Natural constipation remedies customarily take a more general approach, considering that issues in the digestive and excretion systems of the body usually occur from external, instead of internal issues. As such, changes to diet are customarily among the most profound of natural bowel problems remedies. Healthy food, targeting fresh food and vegetables, contain enough dietary fiber to assist the gut in maintaining itself. On the other hand, excessively ready-made foods such as white breads and sweets, as well as man made hydrogenated fats all cause havoc on the gut. Natural trots remedies depend on the the amazing machine that is the body, but it must be given the right fuel to run itself correctly.

many of us belittle just how vital water is to the healthiness of all organisms. In a micro sense, all hard stools cases and constipation symptoms occur due, in 1 way or another, to a scarcity of water existing in the body. Stool hardens and becomes hard due to your body guts being dehydrated, and therefore absorbing too much water from the food you eat – this is the classical methodology in which constipation occurs. Drinking more water every day is the start of all natural hard stools remedies, as it makes sure that the body maintains the digested food in a soft, hydrated state. Similarly, if you drink more water, you will also probably find many other health enhancements in other areas of your life. Do you want cleaner skin, more energy, less body odour and a better nights sleep? Then drink more water! One must remember that natural constipation remedies will relieve just about all cases of constipation and bowel obstruction symptoms in which the problem is externally located. sometimes there’s a significant problem within the body, whereby the body is unhealthy and is not working correctly . In such cases, more drastic bowel problems remedies must be purchased – if you are feeling that you are in this boat, seek the pro medical recommendation from your local and trusted doctor who can take a more radical approach to curing your constipation symptoms at the roots of the cause.

if you are a victim of trots symptoms, always recall that there are numerous small things that you can change in your life to ease your pain. That’s the awesome power of natural constipation remedies! Such easy and simple to implement changes can have an extraordinary effect on the way you live your life.

One way to prevent dark green stool is to make sure that you have a clean digestive system… the best way to do that is to do a colon cleanse a couple of times per year. Click Here to get a risk free trial of the leading, 100% natural colon cleanse today.

Sometimes small things can make your life difficult” — How often have we heard this sentence in our life? Numerous times, I guess! If we have to describe at least one of those so-called ‘small things’, constipation can very well be the first thing that comes to our mind.

Yes, constipation — a common and a major problem. It won’t be wrong to say that at least half of the world’s population suffers from it currently. Besides, every person in his or her lifetime may have faced this problem at some point of time.Constipation may sound as a small thing initially, but if neglected for a long period, it can lead to many serious complications like abdomen pain, formation of wind, appetite loss, headache, lethargy, distension of the abdomen, nervous exhaustion, pimples, rheumatism, arthritis and lastly, the deadly cancer.

Although the usage of laxatives provide temporary relief, it becomes ineffective in the long run because of its constant use. Doctors also warn not to use laxatives regularly. Yoga proves highly effective in the treatment ofconstipation. The following asanas are very important for a person who is suffering from constipation:

Bhujanghasana: It removes constipation and gas and helps in digestion.

Trikonasana: It helps a person to pass stool normally.

Ardha Matsyendrasana: It increases the digestive fire and provides relief from constipation.

Supta Vajrasana: It helps in digestion and provides relief from constipation.

Besides, these four asanas, a person who is suffering from chronic constipation, should also try Dhanurasana, Sarvangasana, Kapalbhati, Bhastrika and Mayurasana.

All these yoga poses work on the abdominal movement and hence make it easier to pass the stool. These asanas also help in improving the human digestive system and therefore, eradicateconstipation completely from your system. In addition to curing constipation, these yoga postures also provides relief from other disorders, if combined with a healthy diet and adequate sleep.

However, all these asanas should be practise under the expert supervision of a Yoga Guru. Besides, if you are pregnant or having a heart disorder, then these postures should be avoided.

Apart from practicing yoga, a constipation patient should not have too much of tea, coffee or junk food. The diet should be healthy and balanced and at least 1.5 litres of water should be consumed by the person.

Finally, remember that Yoga is not only for the yogis. It’s just not constipation that can be cured by yoga but also various dreadful diseases. So make yoga a part of your life in order to lead a healthy and happy life.

Aloe was used to great effect by Greek and Roman physicians. Researchers have found that both the ancient Chinese and Indian used Aloe Vera.

In the Philippines it is used with milk for kidney infections.

Aloes are referred to in the Bible, and legend suggests that Alexander the Great conquered the island of Socotra in the Indian Ocean to secure supplies of Aloes to treat the battle wounds of his soldiers.

Aloe vera, being one of the most healing herbs, contains strong anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. It is bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal. Aloe vera promotes cell growth and is strengthening to the whole immune-system. It is neurologically calming, acting also as a powerful detoxifying agent that helps to clean the morbid matter from the stomach, liver, kidneys, spleen, bladder, and colon. Aloe vera is very beneficial in case of coughs, ulcers, lesions, hemorrhoids, diabetes, cancer, headaches, arthritis, constipation, indigestion, asthma, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), and radiation. Being one of the best herbs to clean out the colon, it soothes all kinds of stomach disorders. Aloe vera promotes menstruation when it is suppressed. It expels pinworms after several doses. It helps reduce the effects of aging and increases the quality of life of the elderly. It is recommended for smokers and ex-smokers as it helps heal the chronic catarrh.

External use: Aloe gel is used for topical treatment of wounds, burns, cuts, sores, skin irritations, skin ulcers, itchy skin, eczema, acne, stings, insect bites, and joint problems. It helps prevent the formation of liver spots in aging skins. If aloe vera is applied regularly and for long enough it will often cause established spots to disappear. Aloe vera is one of the best anti-aging herbs available, helping to rejuvenate aging skin and combat wrinkles.
