With Lazio having knocked Juventus out of the Coppa Italia, and their Champions League dream ended by Bayern Munich, Antonio Conte only has Serie A to play for and can field his strongest side. Fabio Quagliarella and Mirko Vucinic are the current incumbents of the forward positions.

Lazio will be desperate to recapture the form they showed prior to Klose’s injury, having won just 1 of the 6 league games without him. This run has seen them drop out of the Champions League places, and with Roma and Inter Milan not far behind there is a chance they could fail to qualify for Europe all together. For Conte the league is not yet assured. Having suggested that Italian football needs to adapt to challenge in Europe, it is surely in Juventus’ interest to secure the title as quickly as possible to allow for experimentation towards the end of the campaign… (Read more)

The reigning champions travel to the capital

Both sides will be looking to put their midweek disappointment behind them as Lazio play host to Juventus in the Monday night kick off. Juve exited the Champions League after an aggregate 4-0 loss to Bayern Munich while Lazio failed to overcome Fenerbahce in the Europa League. With nine points separating the Bianconeri from second place, Juventus could afford to lose this match without disrupting their season too much while Lazio are still in the race for a top three finish and shouldn’t be short on motivation.

Most of Antonio Conte’s team are fit with the exception of Sebastian Giovinco who joins Nikolas Bendtner, Simone Pepe and Nicolas Anelka on the list of players unavailable for the match. Despite their lead at the top of the table, Juventus are likely to send out a full strength side with the great Antonio Pirlo in the middle of the park. He’ll be joined by Claudio Marchisio and Arutro Vidal with Stephan Lichtsteiner and Kwadwo Asamoah out wide. In the absence of Giovinco, Fabio Quagliarella is favorite to join Mirko Vucinic up front. Marco Storari may get a rare start between the posts and behind Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci.

Lazio welcome back talismanic striker Miroslav Klose up front while at the other end of the pitch, the side are counting heads. Giuseppe Biava, and Stefan Radu are suspended as is Senad Lulic. Andre Dias is also unavailable which will mean a central defensive partnership of Micheal Ciani and Lorik Cana with Alvaro Gonzalez filling in at right back and Marius Stankevicious on the left.

Brazilian Hernanes will pull the strings in the middle of the park with Cristian Ledesma and Ogenyi Onazi by his sides. Antonio Candreva and Stefano Mauri will start on the wings. Lazio have consistently shown a never say die attitude this season and while a place in the top three may be out of their reach, Juventus can expect a tough test on Monday evening at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

La vicenda inizia con l’incursione dei bolognesi nel territorio dei modenesi, i quali, dopo aver rincorso gli assalitori sin dentro la città di Bologna, riescono a portar via, di nascosto, un secchio calato in un pozzo.

Ma i bolognesi pretendono in dietro il recipiente.

Per questo motivo, offrono ai modenesi una terra in cambio del secchio.

Il rifiuto di questi ultimi dà inizio alla guerra.

Subito i due schieramenti cercano alleanza con varie città. Anche le divinità, nel corso della battaglia, interverranno a favore di uno o dell’altro esercito.

Dopo numerose liti, le due armate si affrontano direttamente.

Il re Ezio, di parte modenese, subisce il tradimento dei suoi soldati che, nel tentativo di rubare le castagne e le noci  inviate dai fiorentini ai bolognesi, si disperdono.

Egli viene così catturato dai nemici.

Il coraggioso conte di Culagna, invece, riesce a fuggire dalla mischia e a portare ai suoi compagni la notizia del rapimento del re.

I Modenesi sono presi dallo sconforto, ma li rimprovera la bella e coraggiosa Renoppia. Infastidita a causa della loro codardia, la giovane, con un gruppo di donne, decide di portare lo scompiglio nell’esercito bolognese.

Modenesi e Bolognesi stabiliscono una tregua di dieci giorni.

Poco dopo, un’ambasceria bolognese viene a proporre degli scambi: barattare la secchia con alcuni prigionieri.

Intanto, un misterioso e magico cavaliere sfida gli avversari per avere la mano della bella Renoppia, ma viene battuto dal conte di Culagna.

Al conte Culagna si susseguiranno, da qui in poi, una serie di accaduti tragicomici.

L’uomo s’innamora di Renoppia e, per questo motivo, cercherà di avvelenare la moglie.

Una volta finita la tregua, la guerra riprende fino all’interruzione da parte del legato papale.

So what do you get when you cut and mash up Daft Punk with Skrillex? Nothing short of epic, obviously. CONTE (a.k.a Jack Conte from San Francisco, CA) dropped this dope recorded video of him mashing it up live “played on a sideways TV with an 8×8 Launchpad.”

Uh, what? — Yeah, you just need to see the video. It definitely gave me flashbacks of that first time I discovered Madeon and his Pop Culture (live mashup) on youtube.

Anyone can mashup two songs with skill and patience. But, only a few can flawlessly execute a live mashup of two great sides of music, add his own other instrumental samples, and then provide accompanying visuals. Yeah, I’d pay to see this guy live.

Le ultime due sfide dei quarti di finale di Champions hanno visto passare il turno, secondo pronostico Barcellona e Bayern Monaco, che raggiungono Real Madrid e Borussia Dortmund alle semifinali, per un inedito ma intrigante scontro Spagna-Germania.

Al Camp Nou partita molto vibrante ed in bilico fino all’ultimo minuto, con un Psg molto autoritario e per nulla intimorito dal roulino casalingo dei catalani. I parigini molto ben messi in campo da Ancelotti hanno creato numerose occasioni da rete nel corso della prima frazione ma solo nella ripresa trovano il vantaggio con Pastore imbeccato da Ibrahimovic. A svegliare dal torpore i blaugrana ci pensa il solito Lionel Messi che in dieci minuti, piazza un paio di accelerazioni, innescando l’azione del gol di Pedro per il pareggio che ipoteca l’approdo alle semifinali della squadra di Roura. Tuttavia il Barca, come spesso è accaduto quest’anno, non convince in difesa complice la mancanza di pressing in fase di non possesso ed in generale, ritmi blandi che rendono il classico tiki toki del tutto sterile. Barcellona avanti quindi, ma “rimandato” alle semifinali dove ci vorranno partite ad alti ritmi, come nell’era Guardiola per intenderci, per poter superare le altre tre semifinaliste.

Discorso differente per l’altra sfida che vedeva opposte la Juve ed il Bayern, con i bianconeri che non sono mai stai in corsa per la qualificazione dal primo minuto della partita dell’Allianz Arena. Tedeschi di Heynckes che bissano il 2-0 dell’andata questa volta fissato dal centravanti operaio Mandzukic e dal subentrante Pizzaro. Se questa sfida doveva servire per far capire ad Antonio Conte il livello raggiunto dalla sua compagine a livello europeo allora bisogna inesorabilmente dire che I tedeschi sono superiori a livello di organico, di organizzazione tattica e di condizione fisica. Una Juve sicuramente migliore dell’andata, ma ancora lontana da impensierire una corazzata come quella allestita dal direttore generale Karl Heinz Rumenigge. Si sono palesati di nuovo i problemi in fase di costruzione dell’azione e sopratutto una fase di non possesso non molto bene organizzata come testimoniato dal fatto che gli esternibianconeri siano stati sistematicamente messi in mezzo dai bavaresi. La Juve, dunque  esce bocciata dai quarti di finale di Champions e deve far tesoro della lezione impartita dai tedeschi, per preparare al meglio la prossima stagione. In conclusione, Antonio Conte in conferenza stampa sosteneva che nessuna squadra italiana vincerà la Champions League per diversi anni, ecco il tecnico leccese dovrebbe invece preocuparsi di spiegare come mai la Juve corre a mille a Novembre-Dicembre mentre, nel momento topico della stagione, dimostra inequivocabilmente di avere le batterie scariche.

While they have had great success in the Serie A in recent years and the good football to match, Conte wants to see an improvement in Juventus in the Champions League.

He continued by saying: “For sure we have returned to being competitive in Italy but in Europe we must improve.”

The Bianconeri manager has noted that Tuesday’s defeat highlighted the gulf in class between his side and the top teams in Europe.

The Juventus boss finished by saying: “These are matches that let us understand the distance between us and these top sides.

“Now we must prepare for the second leg. Bayern are strong but we take this loss as experience and we will try to improve.”

The second leg of the quarter-final tie will take place on the 10th April with the Italian side looking to overturn a 2-0 deficit, whilst Bayern are hoping to get one step closer to two consecutive Champions League finals.

Daft Punk is a French duo who specialize in electronic music. They were pretty huge in the house scene during the late ’90s.

They were also, believe it or not, influenced by the Beach Boys and the Rolling Stones. The duo is back with a new album out next month called Random Access Memories.

Skrillex, however, is fairly new to electronic music, but has taken the scene by storm within the last few years, winning a total of six GRAMMYs in the process.

If you’ve ever thought about what the two of them would sound like together or if they’d ever play together, you’re not alone.

A guy up in San Francisco named Jack Conte mashed them up using a Launchpad and a flat screen TV.

However, I think every class is going to have its own challenges and therefore terrors.  This week we finished, or mostly finished, our “ribbons” of the week before.  This was an exercise in shading and shadows.

Then it was time to move on to using conté on construction paper.  The idea was to use black conté for the shadows, white conté for the highlights and the colour of the construction paper for the medium tones.  I was going to do the still life, but Kathy seemed so disappointed that we were both going to do the still life, I thought, what the hell, you’re terrified of trying the other option – GO FOR IT!

But can you tell what it is?

As we were wrapping up the class, a young woman walked in who is a potential new “terrified beginner” and we chatted.   I think her name is Reesa and I really hope she joins us next week – she won’t be terrified for long.   There’s no doubt in my mind that our wonderful teacher, Kathy will put her at ease as quickly as she did me.

But I digress.

Now, I’m determined.  On the way home I stopped at the dollar store and picked up not only construction paper, but also some newsprint.  Daughter Olivia lent me some coloured conté and chalk and I just hope I can find some black and white in there to give a still life, of my own creation, a try.  If not, I’ll improvise.

And speaking of creating my own still life, Kathy even taught us how to go about doing that!  One of the neatest things she said was “have you ever looked at a piece of art and felt that to see it properly you had to tilt your head?  It’s because it’s not balanced”.  So not only am I going to try again with the conté, I’m going to try the creation process from nothing to finished.

Bayern Munich were dominant in the first leg and should be disappointed not to take a larger lead to Turin. The injury to Toni Kroos would usually be a cause for concern for Jupp Heynckes, but the performance of Thomas Muller in his place would suggest Kroos won’t be missed.

As mentioned in the first leg preview (found here), and largely supported by the performance, Bayern appear to have the perfect shape and selection to counter the threat posed by Juventus. Both managers are loyal to their preferred systems so a repeat is expected, although Conte will surely need to make allowances for his side’s failure to get into the game in Germany. So my last semester of college is almost over! my brain feels like a blender, and I’m SO done with all of this. pretty much ready to just crawl under a bed and cry. And it’s going to be a big month for me with my thesis presentation, buying and moving into my first ever house, and joining life as a “real adult” now that I’m not a student. And this last semester I’ve been taking a figure drawing class (again) from my favorite teacher ever, Chad Barksdale.  It’s been a fantastic few months, and I’m so optimistic about all the projects I want to do after I graduate. I’m pretty much riding on the euphoria of actually being able to improve over the course of the workshop. So hopefully from here on out, there shall be regular art posts! wish me luck!

1)Sơ đồ của hai bên

Juventus vẫn ra sân với sơ đồ chủ yếu của họ từ đầu mùa giải là 3-5-2 với Pirlo chơi vai trò regista quen thuộc và Marchisio-Vidal ở phía trước dọn dẹp. Ở tuyến trên, Matri và Quagliarella đều chơi cao và phối hợp như 1 cặp thay vì có một người lùi hẳn xuống.

Còn Inter, họ ra sân với sơ đồ 3-4-1-2: Kovacic và Gargano là hai tiền vệ trụ, Zanetti chơi ở vị trí wingback phải, còn wingback trái là Pereira, người được phép dâng lên tấn công nhiều hơn Zanetti. Alvarez đóng vai trò tiền vệ công phía sau Palacio – Cassano và sẽ đối mặt trực tiếp với Andrea Pirlo ở khu vực này.

2)Khu vực giữa sân: Alvarez vs Pirlo

Làm thế nào để chặn Pirlo? Bất cứ HLV nào khi đối đầu với đội quân của Conte đều muốn khoá chặt Pirlo. Lần này, Stram lại chọn Alvarez – một tiền vệ công. Alvarez cố gắng theo dõi Pirlo, nhưng đơn giản là anh không có đủ ý thức cũng như sức lực để khống chế tiền vệ 33 tuổi một cách hiệu quả. Pirlo được tự do di chuyển và luân chuyển bóng; điều này giúp Juve đẩy đội hình lên, đặc biệt là tạo điều kiện cho Marchisio và Vidal thoải mái càn quét, ghim Kovacic và Gargano lại.

Alvarez không phải là người tốt nhất khi được yêu cầu làm nhiệm vụ mang tính phòng ngự như kèm Pirlo, mà thay vào đó anh tập trung hơn vào nhiệm vụ kết nối với Palacio và Cassano (và làm không đến nỗi nào). 3) Ở phần sân của Inter

Inter tập trung hơn vào việc lập bức tường phòng ngự trước khung thành Handanovic. 3 trung vệ của Inter bố trí theo kèm 2 tiền đạo của Juve: Quagliarella không thật sự nổi bật, trong khi những pha chạm bóng của Matri đều gây thất vọng. Cả hai không phối hợp được hiệu quả, ngoại trừ bàn thắng thứ hai tới từ nỗ lực của Quagliarella và cú dứt điểm chính xác của Matri. Bên cạnh đó, cũng cần phải nói đến sai lầm của hàng phòng ngự Inter khi để cho Quagliarella có khoảng trống dứt điểm thành bàn vào phút thứ 2.

Juve tỏ ra thiếu một sự sắc sảo nhất định ở phần sân của đối phương. Pirlo luôn có mặt để điều tiết bóng, nhưng có lẽ thêm một sự đột biến ở tuyến trên là điều cần cho Bianconeri. Wingback của họ cũng không đóng góp được nhiều, khi Zanetti không dâng quá cao và theo dõi Asamoah, trong khi Padoin tỏ ra lép vế trước Pereira.

4) Ở phần sân của Juve

Inter tỏ ra tốt nhất khi phản công nhanh, lợi dụng tốc độ của Palacio và Cassano. Palacio chơi cao hơn, bứt phá qua hàng phòng ngự Juve, còn Cassano thì lui xuống. Hai người ít phối hợp với nhau mà thường tìm cách đối đầu trực tiếp với 1 trung vệ của Juve. Bàn thắng gỡ hoà 1 đều của Inter là một ví dụ: một pha phản công nhờ tận dụng sai lầm hiếm gặp của Pirlo, Palacio nhận bóng từ Cassano và lợi dụng khoảng trống tạo ra do sai lầm trong phối hợp giữa Bonucci và Barzagli để bứt phá ghi bàn.

Inter tấn công nhiều theo hướng cánh trái, nơi Cassano thường dạt ra, cộng với những tình huống băng lên tốc độ của Pereira, làm cho Padoin không thể đối phó và thường xuyên để bị vượt qua. Đó là điều Inter giỏi nhất – tận dụng tốc độ để phản công. Tuy vậy, nhìn chung hàng phòng ngự Juve cũng thích ứng được với lối phản công này, khi Barzagli và Chiellini kịp thời chọn vị trí phòng ngự tốt.

5)Thay đổi người

Sau giờ nghỉ, Stram thực hiện sự thay đổi người đầu tiên: Alvarez ra nghỉ, Guarin vào sân. Guarin là cầu thủ lí tưởng nhất của Inter để thực hiện nhiệm vụ kèm cặp Pirlo, và anh đã chứng tỏ điều này, mặc dù Pirlo vẫn tìm cách để tạo khoảng trống cho mình.

Sự thay đổi người tiếp theo của Stram là Cambiasso vào thay Ranocchia. Zanetti trám chỗ Ranocchia, trong khi hàng tiền vệ Inter chuyển sang mẫu “1-2” giống Juve với Kovacic đóng vai trò regista, Cambiasso và Gargano ở trên, Guarin chuyển ra wingback phải. Juve lúc này đã có bàn thắng thứ hai và sẵn sàng lùi xuống để bảo toàn tỉ số, nhưng dù sao Cambiasso cũng giúp Inter chủ động hơn ở tuyến giữa (dù Pirlo không có đối thủ trực tiếp).

Tới phút 73, Conte đưa Pogba thay Matri – Juve chuyển sang 3-5-1-1 với bộ 3 tiền vệ Vidal-Pogba-Pirlo, còn Marchisio chơi cao hơn. Điều này giúp Juve nắm được khu trung tuyến và kiểm soát bóng tốt hơn khi có tới 4 tiền vệ ở trung tâm.

Stram cố gắng phá vỡ thế bế tắc bằng cách thay đổi chiến thuật: Rocchi được tung vào sân thế chỗ Gargano, Inter chuyển sang sơ đồ 4-4-2 kim cương với Kovacic thấp nhất, Cambiasso và Guarin chơi ở trên, còn Rocchi là trequartista. Inter vùng lên – tuy nhiên Juve đã “đổ bê tông” chắc chắn và chỉ chờ tiếng còi mãn cuộc (trước đó Conte đã thay Asamoah bằng một cầu thủ có thiên hướng phòng ngự hơn là Peluso).

Kết luận

Dấu ấn của trận đấu này có lẽ chỉ là cú sút xa tuyệt đẹp mở tỉ số của Quagliarella và pha phạm lỗi thô bạo của Cambiasso lúc cuối trận. Chặt chẽ từ đầu tới cuối – đó là những gì để nói về derby d’Italia lượt về 2012-2013. Stramaccioni đã cố gắng, nhưng xem ra Inter của ông vẫn còn thiếu nhiều điều để có thể lớn mạnh trở lại.

The visitors to the Juventus stadium in Turin on Saturday afternoon will be bottom of the table Pescara as the Bianconeri seek to take another step towards their second consecutive title since Antonio Conte took to the Juve bench as a fish takes to water. No team has won more games, no team has lost fewer and the reigning champions currently enjoy a goal difference of 40. That’s 14 goals ahead of second placed Napoli. With a 9 point lead, it’s safe to say that domestically at least, Juventus are the dominant side. Meanwhile, ex-striker, coach and current Sky TV pundit Gianluca Vialli keeps the faith for his ex-team’s Champions League hopes and Nicolas Anelka hopes to make his first start for the Bianconeri.

You’d get fairly long odds on Pescara leaving Turin with a result on Saturday evening but as Sampdoria showed earlier in the season, miracles can still occur. However with question marks over the availability of Vladimir Weiss, Gaetano D’Agostino and Luciano Zauri, it’d be a brave to back Pescara against Juventus. The home side may well give a first start to 34 year old Anelka come Saturday evening. The player has been doing well in training and could be given a chance to shine against the team propping up the table. Another player who hasn’t been seen too often and could get a run on Saturday is Luca Marrone as both Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini sit out the game through suspension.

With the title theirs to lose, Juventus are already looking to take a step forward in the Champions League. It won’t be easy after their 2-0 loss in Germany but Gianluca Vialli, the last Juve player to lift the Champions League, has complained of too much pessimism around the team. Accordin to the TV pundit, Juventus are more than capable of turning things around in their home stadium. Conte has built a team that never gives in. Striker Alessandro Matri has also said that the Bianocneri comeback has already started in the dressing room. A win against Pescara would be just the tonic the team needs.

Juventus looking for Champions League level players

The Bianconeri play host to bottom of the table Pescara this weekend and with 47 points separating the two sides, it’ll take a miracle for Pescara to leave the Juventus stadium with a result. Going into Round 31, Antonio Conte’s players enjoy a nine point lead at the top of the table but yet for all their domestic dominance in the past two seasons, their midweek loss to Bayern Munich underlined the distance that the Old Lady of Italian football has still to travel. Juventus may be back in the Big Time, but real ambition will still take investment. The good news for the fans is that the club has no lack of resources and players eager to join are not exactly few and far between.

Up front, there are currently four of Europe’s top strikers linked with a move to the back and white of Turin. Edinson Cavani has shown himself to be one of the finest finishers in world football and it’s looking ever more likely that this will be his last season with Napoli. A move to Juventus would ruffle more than a few feathers given relations between the two sets of fans but stranger things have happened. Fabio Quagliarella made the move without the world coming to an end and Fabio Cannavaro is still one of the city’s favorite sons despite his Bianconeri past. Whether or not Juventus could afford the €63 million needed to trigger the transfer clause in the player’s current contract is another matter, but suffice it to say that strangers things have happened.

Luis Suarez is another player who raised eyebrows when he said that offers from top clubs would be welcome when asked about his future on Merseyside. His signing definitely wouldn’t come cheap but he certainly ticks all the boxes when it comes the club’s top player identikit. Alexis Sanchez hasn’t settled in well in Barcelona and a return to Serie A is a possibility. The Chilean would also represent a more affordable transfer fee and at 24 years old, time is on his side.

The final player linked with the Bianconeri is an ex-employee at the club. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is being linked with a return to the club where he played from 2004-2006. The player’s monstrous salary at PSG would be tough for any club to match but then again, nothing has ever been predictable in the life of the Swedish striker.
